The present article describes the potential utility of derivative ultraviolet (UV) spectrophotometric technique in the discrimination of different kinds of ignitable liquids in their neat states. Derivative UV spectrophotometry is capable of differentiating these ignitable liquids as derivative spectra have more number of points for comparison than their corresponding normal zero order spectrum. Derivative spectra are relatively simple. The technique is rapid, simple, cost-effective and can be used for the screening purpose at the initial stage of investigation. A consequence of this increased exposure is the 88 to 875-fold amplification of the peroxidase activity in 1-65H over horse heart cytochrome c_. Abstract:
Two proteins, hemocyanin from the mollusk A. fulica and BSA, were used to show how the fourth derivatives of UV absorption spectra make it possible to reveal individual proteins characteristics associated with the presence of aromatic amino acids in their composition. To implement the method, the script was developed in the R programming language. This approach can be helpful in solving a variety of problems.

Abstract:
In animal and human organisms, there are many enzymes, members of the family of heme- containing proteins, cytochromes P450 (CYPs), included in the biosynthesis and metabolism of many biomolecules, as cholesterol, bile acids, sex, and corticosteroid hormones, as well as in metabolism of drugs and xenobiotics. It is also well-known that different imidazole and triazole derivatives are efficient inhibitors of CYPs activity. In this study, we present in vitro screening of binding of novel androstane derivatives with tetrazole- containing substituents in position 17 to human recombinant steroid-co

A set of “host” compounds, highly suluble in water, were prepared by the reaction of β-cyclodextrin with propylene oxide in NaOH solution. The reactant ratio was varied in order to examine the difference in the substitution degree of the obtained derivatives. The structure was determined by the 1H-NMR spectra. The average degree of substitution was determined by integration of the corresponding NMR signals of the methyl group, which is part of the hydroxypropyl group and the signal from the proton attached to anomeric carbon of the β-cyclodextrin. The solubility of four different pesticides, v

Increasing resistance of microorganisms to conventional drugs has required scientists to discover new sources of biocides with a broad spectrum of action. Since ancient times, plants and plant derivatives such as essential oils have been used in traditional medicine. In the present study, the ethanolic extracts of the aerial parts (leaves and stem) of Thymus pulegioides were evaluated for their antimicrobial activity against some pathogenic bacteria, Gram+ bacteria: Staphylococcus aureus and Streptococcus pyogenes, respectively Gram- bacteria Escherichia coli. The antibacterial potential was t
