Abstract:
Architecture is the arena on which man's life unfolds, due to the constant changes taking place in life, deformability is demanded to increase the adaptability of modern Architecture. Thus, to achieve such deformability, research on the systematic hierarchy of architectures is carried out; indicating that the hierarchies are the intermediary of the inner transformation of the architecture and the formation process of architecture system is a process of gradual differentiation. With the development of the gradual differentiation process, the flexibility of architecture begins to fail while increasing its determinacy. The key point determining the adaptability of architectures lies in the inter-transformation between the various levels of sub-hierarchy systems. According to the complexity and hierarchy of the transformation, categorization and analysis with future study on the performance manifestation of architectural adaptability design are implemented.

Abstract:
Religious culture shapes the characters of space and it reflects people’s attitudes towards the relationships between people and gods. Every religious architecture, such as a temple or a church, demonstrates its physical connections with life. This paper focuses on comparing different countries’ religious architectures to better understand the dominant cultural elements which influence design concepts of these architectures. In Western cultures, the religious architecture format is the church. However, Tadao Ando designs the Church of the Light with oriental features. It changes western religious cultures to adapt to local conditions. Ando’s work is just one of many examples in which the local culture can transform religious architecture form with their own characters, and nake it become an iconic mark to represent their country. This paper, analyzing project thinking and development invovling a local citizen, user, artist, and architect, tries to find out how design concepts, decisions on site location, and construction method will be determined. In these case studies on architectural formats from all over the world, this paper uses valuable data to show what elements will be the most critical ones to influence people’s thinking about religious cultures and religious architectural transformation. Furthermore, in this research, it compares religious cultural characters between western and oriental regions. This research also answers questions about how cultures change local people’s behaviors. This is the most valuable point of religious architectures, because they can comfort people and mitigate their sorrow. The research demonstrates how religious cultures and understanding about life can further develop architecture forms. Local materials and conditions are key factors which greatly influence architectural designs. Moreover, this paper compares the latest technology and development of construction materials to illustrate how technology reshapes religious designs in our age. It links local cultures with contemporary architectures to help local architectures continue to develop with their unique characters instead of being eliminated by globalization.

This article describes the art and architectural research project Preemptive Architecture that uses artistic strategies and approaches to create bomb-ready architectural structures that act as instruments for the undoing of violence in war. Increasing environmental usability through destruction represents an inverse strategy that reverses common thinking patterns about warfare, art and architecture. Building structures predestined for a constructive destruction becomes a creative act. One of the main motivations behind this paper is to challenge and expand the material thinking as well as the socio-political conditions related to artistic, architectural and design based practices. Abstract:
In recent years, Operational Business Intelligence has emerged as an important trend in the Business Intelligence (BI) market. Majority of BI application architectures are bespoke in nature which have several architectural limitations like tightly coupled, static, historic, subjective, no performance measurement of business processes, limited user access, limited analytical processing, querying and reporting features. In this article, a generic functional architecture for Operational BI systems based on software architecture principles is presented. All functional modules of the system are derived from the key features of the system and by using top down approach of software design principles. The similar functional modules are grouped into sub-systems and a set of these sub-systems constitutes overall functional architecture. The proposed architecture overcomes the limitations of traditional BI architectures.

Abstract:
Software architectures promote development focused on modular functional building blocks (components), their interconnections (configurations), and their interactions (connectors). Since architecture-level components often contain complex functionality, it is reasonable to expect that their interactions will be complex as well. Middleware technologies such as CORBA, COM, and RMI provide a set of predefined services for enabling component composition and interaction. However, the potential role of such services in the implementations of software architectures is not well understood. In practice, middleware can resolve various types of component heterogeneity — across platform and language boundaries, for instance — but also can induce unwanted architectural constraints on application development. We present an approach in which components communicate through architecture-level software connectors that are implemented using middleware. This approach preserves the properties of the architecture-level connectors while leveraging the beneficial capabilities of the underlying middleware. We have implemented this approach in the context of a component- and message-based architectural style called C2 and demonstrated its utility in the context of several diverse applications. We argue that our approach provides a systematic and reasonable way to bridge the gap between architecture-level connectors and implementation-level middleware packages.

Abstract:
To provide modeling and simulation functionality as services is strategically leveraged in the defense domain and elsewhere. To describe and understand the context, the ecosystem, wherein such services are used and interoperate with other services and capabilities, one needs tools that capture the simulation services themselves as well as the capability landscape they operate in. By using the NATO Consultation, Command, and Control (C3) Taxonomy to structure architecture design in the NATO Architecture Framework (NAF), cohesive descriptions of modeling and simulation capabilities within larger contexts can be given. We show how a basic seven-step approach may benefit architecture work for modeling and simulation at the overarching, reference, and target architectural levels; in particular for (1) hybrid architectures that embed simulation architectures within a larger service-oriented architecture and (2) for architectural design of simulation scenarios. Central to the approach is the use of the C3 Taxonomy as a repository for overarching architecture building blocks and patterns. We conclude that the promotion of technical functionality as capabilities in their own right helps delineate simulation environment boundaries, helps delineate services within and outside the boundary, and is an enabler for defining the service concepts in cloud-based approaches to modeling and simulation as a service (MSaaS).

Abstract:
Architectures in Indonesia are often identified as 'unique' compared to European and American constructions. They are referred to as Wastuwidya by Mangunwijaya and Nusantara by Prijotomo. This paper, therefore, aimed to examine the reasons for the perceived similar principles between the Indonesian architectures and those in Europe or America and also reviewed the architecture in the country beyond the identity. This involved the application of a historical approach with synchronous-diachronic methods to determine the significance of a historical timeline and its architectural content. The results showed the country’s modern architecture is associated with the foreign entry, its climate, and socio-cultural conditions, and also perceived as a sign of certain political powers presented during the Daendels and Sukarno era. Indonesian and European/American architectural designs were also observed to have different entry processes. Therefore, modern architecture should be perceived as a process rather than a product.

Abstract:
The research is concerned with studying the characteristics of Sustainable Architecture and Green Architecture, as a general research methodology related to the specific field of architecture, based on the differentiation between two generic concepts, Sustainability and Greening, to form the framework of the research specific methodology, where both concepts seem to be extremely overlapping for research centers, individuals, and relevant organizations. In this regard, the research tend towards searching their characteristics and to clearly differentiates between the two terms, particularly in architecture, where the research seeks understanding sustainable and green architectures, how they are so close or so far, and the possibility of finding common features between them that might make them as a one synaptic concept. The research problem focuses on that there is no clear differentiation between sustainable and green architectures, what causes a matter of confusion and unclarity in dealing with building projects what affects understanding processes and procedures during the progress of design, construction, and operation, within the whole building life cycle, and this leads to a defect in understanding the formation of building design, construction and operation. The research hypothesis shows that environmental and architectural indicators can form a mechanism to differentiate between sustainable architecture and green architecture. This mechanism depends on several elements that form, together, the hypothesis testing tool, and in turn, this tool will become a method to verify the hypothesis reaching accomplishing the goal of the research (formation of a theoretical framework) that enable to differentiate between sustainable and green architectures. The research methodology depends, also, on the effects of factors like economy, technology, welfare, and else, with focusing on the green growth and sustainable development as distinguished statuses in the two concepts, to reach establishing a comparative study and understanding their developing stages and clarifying the main differences between sustainability and greening, architecture wise, to form the elements of the theoretical framework to differentiate between sustainable architecture and green architecture. The theoretical framework is applied in two environmentally friendly architectural projects (case studies) to search their environmental and architectural features to reveal the availability of the features and characteristics of a sustainable building and a green building in each one of them.

Abstract:
This study analyzes the biological influence on the architecture in the 20th century by focusing on two particular biological architectural thought; "Der Raum als Membran (Space as Membrane)" by Siegfried Ebeling in 1926 and "Metabolism" by a group of Japanese architects in 1960. First, I discuss "Der Raum als Membran". Ebeling saw architecture or space as a biological membrane, like skin or a cell, and he proposed a theory of biological architecture. He not only introduced into planning an environment this biological metaphor with its flexibility of a membrane but also incorporated a biological concept like Umwelt. Second, I investigate a manifesto by the name of "Metabolism", which was produced in 1960 by a group of Japanese architects. They thought buildings and urban designs had an existence and underwent metabolism, which is a basic function of living things, and proposed variable and proliferate architectures having dynamic time spans. By comparing these biological architectural concepts, I point out three main similarities: 1) the expansion of the biological concept into architecture; 2) the cell as a metaphor; and 3) dynamic buildings or urban design. Although the authors had different backgrounds, all of them introduced new architectural ideas in their own times.

Abstract:
High-performance single-threaded processors achieve their performance goal partly by relying, among other architectural techniques, on speculation and large on-chip caches. The hardware to support these techniques is usually a large portion of the overall processor real state area, and therefore it consumes a significant amount of power that sometimes is not optimally used toward doing useful work. In this work, we study the intuitive fact that architectures with hardware support for threads are more power efficient than a more traditional single-threaded superscalar architecture. Toward this goal, we have created a model of the power, performance and area of several parallel architectures. This model shows that a parallel architecture can be designed so that (a) it requires less area and power (to reach the same performance), or (b) it achieves better power efficiency and less area (for the same power budget), or (c) it has higher performance and better power efficiency (for the same area constraint), when compared to a single-threaded superscalar architecture.

Abstract:
Mosque is an architectural work and public facility that serves as a worship place for Muslims. Mosque architectural elements include domes (roofs), mihrab, minaret, arch, and ornaments. Mosque architecture comprises of various elements, which adapt to the local culture where the mosque is located. As such, its presence also bears some impacts on the appearance of urban architecture. Malang city as one of the major cities in East Java has numerous rapidly developing mosque architectures, including Jami’ Great Mosque of Malang, Sabilillah Mosque, Nurul Muttaqin Mosque, Ahmad Yani Mosque, and Manarul Huda Mosque. The meaning of architectural work is also closely related to the perception of humans who observe it. The public preference for the architectural characteristics of mosques in Malang city is a manifestation of architectural work. Conjoined analysis is employed as method operative to analyze public preference. This study aims to find out the architectural characteristics of mosques in Malang city according to public preferences. The findings can serve as a recommendation for the development of mosque architectural designs in Malang city, especially those possessing locality values. The architectural characteristics of mosques in Malang city which are driven by the public preferences ranging from the highest to the lowest, which is why mosques generally have calligraphy ornaments, circular arch, pentagon-shaped minaret, Indo-Persian dome, and two-minaret design.

Abstract:
In this article, I explore conceptual strategies encouraging an ecologically responsive, water-centric approach to architectural design, such that design interventions become nature/culture hybrids connecting urban dwellers to larger hydrological conditions. I consider the notion of horizons as one mechanism for working out a trajectory for sustainable architecture, one that highlights experiential and environmental concerns simultaneously. In a conceptual shift, theorist David Leatherbarrow’s treatment of “three architectural horizons” (the equipmental—the objects of one’s immediate setting; the practical—the enclosure of a building; and the environmental— what lies beyond) are reshuffled: the practical expands to the watershed (the bioregion as common dwelling place) while environmental processes couple with the equipment of buildings, such that architectures deliver net positive watershed impact.

Abstract:
A defense-in-depth (DID) approach for securing critical information infrastructure has been a common method used in cybersecurity. However, holistic design guidelines are lacking which precludes organizations from adopting them. Therefore, this paper sets out to outline and detail a holistic framework using ring-based nested network zone architecture for the design and implementation of highly secured networked environments. The proposed cybersecurity architecture framework offers a structural design for holistically designed N-tier system architectures. Several implementation options, including zoning perimeters, are suggested as being capable of offering different security capability levels by trading off amongst various security aspects. Also, the proposed architecture allows adaptability in implementations for various real-world networks. This paper also proposes an attack-hops verification approach to evaluate the architectural design.

Abstract:
The architecture and architectural shape of a building plays an important role in the interior housing design, many concepts have been developed to optimize this and to have a housing that reflects both visual and architectural comfort or even thermal one. The evolution of these houses however is not controlled, modular architecture has appeared because among its basic principles is being built from modules that can be assembled, then separately modified or even disassembled, the advantage of this typology of architecture is that it is fast in execution, light in installation and above all has very little impact on the environment in which it is part. These buildings are characterized by more dynamic geometries, which results in a very rich architectural language and an interesting sky line, however, to be able to project all the possibilities is a challenge in itself. In this article the discrete geometry is treated through the development of an algorithm that illustrates the process that allows to expose all possible cell combinations, the latter represents the basic module of modular architecture, the most attracting choices will be arranged to illustrate the formal and architectural optimization of a house. In this study the emphasis will be placed on the mathematical part in order to highlight the relationship between geometry and its influence on the final architectural rendering.

Abstract:
Digital technology and its use in architecture support the construction industry in transitioning to more sustainable building development. Digital technology is widely taught in architecture programs in China, but there are few consistent strategies for combining digital architectural design with traditional architectural design in architectural education. Consequently, sustainable design concepts are not included in digital architectural design courses, and thus architectural education is not concerned with sustainable development. In this paper, we focus on the teaching of digital design in architecture and investigate how digital architectural design teaching can incorporate sustainability. Data from 15 universities were qualitatively analyzed, leading to the development of four models of teaching digital architectural design. Development of the models revealed that there are three increasing levels in digital architectural design teaching and that there is a close relationship between the teaching level and the transfer of architectural knowledge. This recognition led to the development of a single comprehensive model of digital architectural design teaching that is universally applicable. This research increases our understanding of digital architectural design teaching in architecture programs and strengthens the multi-level connections between digital architectural design teaching and designing and constructing sustainable built objects.

Abstract:
The synthesis of scientific knowledge obtained within individual disciplines became one of the leading trends in science in the latter half of the 20th century. Together with the existing disciplinary organization and the structuring of science according to the respective specializations, interdisciplinary methodology is being actively developed, problem and project approaches to research are increasingly being applied, the paradigm of integrity is being established. Such processes have also affected design, both theoretical and practical aspects of work. Considering the interdisciplinary interaction of design with other art forms, architecture appears to be most appropriate, given the commonality of design and architectural design dating back to the mid-20th century. Many architects design objects and placing them in their architectural constructions; and designers work with architectural projects, creating a «shell» for their design objects. There is a semantic organization in these processes, the study of which is relevant in view of the emerging paradigm of integrity in science. The aim of research reveals the interdisciplinary interaction between design and architecture, and represents the relevant projects of designers and architects. The results can be used to broaden the understanding of interdisciplinary methodology regarding to its emergence and formation in design and architecture, as well as their current project results. The scientific paper describes some of the professional patterns inherent in design and architecture that unite these arts in filling the object-spatial environment. Common meaning organization of design and architectural subject culture in comparison with samples of «pure» art is also noted, the direct inclusion of these objects in the life canvas of each individual is emphasized. The interdisciplinary interaction of design and architecture contributes to their mutual filling. For design work, the main priority of interdisciplinarity is in studying the architectural heritage that far exceeds the design culture over time. For architectural activity it is possible to expand its professional boundaries by mastering the specifics of design methodology, as well as to optimize the project process in creating a coherent and harmonious structure of building. Interdisciplinary interaction is evident in project activities of modern designers and architects. The projects of American designer Karim Rashid, who works on both: the industrial design projects and objects for the architectural environment, are of particular interest. Architectural bureau «Zaha Hadid Architects», once headed by the Iraqi-British architect and designer of Arab origin Zaha Hadid, also conducts interdisciplinary project activity, touching both design and architecture. The projects of Gerrit Ritveld, designed more than a hundred years ago, confirm the extent of interdisciplinary links in design, architecture and art, reflecting the objectivity of these processes.

Histories of architecture have long-recognized the vital role of concepts, strategies and principles exchanged between architecture and film, which reconfigured their systems of knowledge and made this relationship rich. Nonetheless, film has been used mainly as an instrument of narration and representation in architecture, only rarely engaged in questioning how it affects the way we understand, think and design space. Some of the most recent architectural design practices have recognized that film, using its specific screen environment, can provide a source of new architectural imagination while contextualizing our kinesthetic experience of space. Abstract:
Complex digital systems are often decomposed into architectures very early in the design process. Unfortunately, traditional simulation based languages such as VHDL do not allow the impact of these architectural decisions to be evaluated until a complete, simulatable design of the system is available. After a complete design is available, architectural errors are time-consuming and expensive to correct. However, there is an alternative to simulation based techniques: formal analysis of abstract architectures at the requirements level. This paper describes VSBEC'S approach for defining and analyzing abstract architectures. VSBEC is a Larch interface language for VHDL that allows a designer to specify the requirements of a VHDL entity using the canonical Larch approach. VHDL structural architectures that instantiate VSPEC entities define abstract architectures. These abstract architectures can be evaluated at the requirements level to determine the impact of architectural decisions. This paper briefly introduces VSPEC provides a formal definition of VSPEC abstract architectures and presents two examples that illustrate the architectural definition capabilities of the language.

AbstractFlexibility and changeability are crucial when it comes to the design of embedded automotive architectures. However, flexibility and changeability are concepts rooted in the overall product and its objectives, while architectural design decisions may affect local subsystems as well as the overall system. Axiomatic design is applied to bridge this gap: The architecture is decomposed into its entities and changeability is described through the design's information content. Five domains of actions to foster changeability are identified and generic action schemes are derived.

Abstract:
The objective of this work is to examine the feasibility of, as well as to learn about, a process of developing software architecture that prevents the possibility of mismatch between homogeneous components implemented according to the architectural specification. This paper shows how the architecture can be organized, which restrictions it can use and, provided that they are used, how elaborate it should be in order to ensure that independently-developed artifacts are structurally compatible. Two components are deemed structurally compatible as long as they have appropriate code to avoid mismatch. Since the focus of the paper is on the structural forms of mismatch, the results are derived under the assumption that no run-time environment can prevent a component from executing any path in its code. The paper develops a formal model of architecture that provides a minimal set of concepts in terms of which the designers can reason about incompatibility of components. The model is used to identify the causes of structural mismatch and examine alternative ways of eliminating these causes. Following that, the paper adopts a set of architectural restrictions and shows how these restrictions can be applied in the design of software architectures to prevent the possibility of structural mismatch.

Abstract:
Model-driven development is recognized as one of the most promising approaches in software engineering. Recent research in the area highlights the importance of using an explicit architectural model in this context. Since service-oriented architectures have also demonstrated to be adequate to overcome current software needs, the idea of using the model-driven approach to generate service-oriented architectural models has successfully flourished in the last years. However, the emphasis on the Service-Oriented Computing (SOC) paradigm has led to the design of architectures lacking some desirable features. Knowing the benefits provided by architectural styles, we have found that their use can help us to overcome those needs. Our goal is to obtain a service-oriented model which satisfies the requirements of the concrete architecture and complies with the constraints and vocabulary defined for a specific architectural style. To achieve this, here, we propose to use a weaving model which merges the concrete architectural model with a model of the architectural style of choice.

This project deals with architecture and engineering involved in the process of architectur- al design. Based on native irregular components, it aims at developing an innovative approach in the conception and rationalization of non-standard structures. Contemporary architecture and its non- classical structures require the design of customized pieces. This process which is highly energy and resources consumptive does not always take into account the inherent material properties. This pro- ject develops a way of optimizing, in architectural structures, the use of native wood pieces that are not industrially transformed (e.g. boughs) or of reused pieces of carpentry. As a consequence, the ecological footprint of the structures would be reduced.

Abstract:
The pop-up architecture (or landscape architecture) becomes popular nowadays. Some highlights include annual architecture program such as the Serpentine Gallery Pavilion at Hyde Park, London; MPavilion in Melbourne; MoMA PS1 and Heart Sculpture in New York. Many of these pop-up architectural works have been designed by world renowned architects, such as Zaha Hadid, Rem Koolhaas, Hezorg and de Meuron, Jean Nouvel, Toyo Ito, SANAA, Shigeru Ban, BIG, etc. And many of these designs reflect innovative thinking that changes the professional world of architectural design. But above all, these pop-up architectures were created in responsive manner to the urban community and the community controversially has good response to this type of architecture. In the other words, pop-up architecture is the way the architects touch the heartbeat of the cities, make them livable for all. Ho Chi Minh City has its own types of pop-up landscape architecture, whereas this paper intends to explore in two case studies: Nguyen Hue Floral Boulevard and Nguyen Van Binh Book Street. Nguyen Hue Floral Street is celebrating now its twelfth birthday in the city. Nguyen Van Binh Book Street has just passed its first anniversary in 2017. Both cases live its own story behind the scene about how livable a city could be through place-making by architecture and landscape design. Throughout these cases, we would like to find out how this type of pop-up landscape architecture being realized and become popular in Ho Chi Minh City, and how it is devoted to a livable city for all.

Abstract:
This paper focuses on the changes in architectural aesthetic criteria, from static to dynamic values of both figurative and non-figurative aspects in contemporary architecture and its cultural context. Fluid state of architecture refers to the notions of constant variability occurring in relations between architecture and contemporary cultural context of globalisation. Contemporary context dynamises everyday perceptual experiences, living conditions and terms of spatial appropriations. Accordingly, new networking phenomena appearing on informational, communicational and spatial levels transform the city and architecture into constant process of flows, dematerialising its elements into the new fluid, variable character. Architectural aesthetic qualities simultaneously shift trough events and effects affirmation over static formal whole in transformation from objective to (inter)subjective aesthetic spatial experience. This paper is based on hypothesis that contemporary architecture is characterised by the loss of object singularity in terms of contextual conditions and assimilation of particular characters into the dynamic character of the whole. Therefore, architectural design principles shift through dispersion of disciplinary boundaries and boundaries of inner and outer architectural space, hybridity and typological definition loss. This paper presents how dematerialisation of architectural values transforms contemporary architectural space into the complex dynamic system of infrastructure, flows, events and effects.

Abstract:
Until recently, the issue of analytical data was related to Data Warehouse, but due to the necessity of analyzing new types of unstructured data, both repetitive and non-repetitive, Big Data arises. Although this subject has been widely studied, there is not available a reference architecture for Big Data systems involved with the processing of large volumes of raw data, aggregated and non-aggregated. There are not complete proposals for managing the lifecycle of data or standardized terminology, even less a methodology supporting the design and development of that architecture. There are architectures in small-scale, industrial and product-oriented, which limit their scope to solutions for a company or group of companies, focused on technology but omitting the functionality. This paper explores the requirements for the formulation of an architectural model that supports the analysis and management of data: structured, repetitive and non-repetitive unstructured; there are some architectural proposals –industrial or technological type– to propose a logical model of multi-layered tiered architecture, which aims to respond to the requirements covering both Data Warehouse and Big Data.

The main contribution of Soviet architects, they argue, was on developing typologies of public architecture, in contrast to the canonical Western architectural history, which celebrates private buildings. Soviet architects developed an entire culture of original, functional and economic public design. Abstract:
To reuse successful experience in software architecture design, architects use architectural patterns as reusable architectural knowledge for architectural synthesis. However, it has been observed that the resulting architecture does not always conform to the initial architectural patterns employed. Architectural synthesis using architectural patterns is also recognized as a challenging task, especially for novice architects due to lack of experience. In this paper, we propose a cooperative coevolution approach to automate architectural synthesis using architectural patterns. We first analyze several common architectural patterns and the constraints when using them. We then extend existing architectural synthesis activity with patterns based on the results of this analysis. Finally, we map the extended architectural synthesis to a cooperative coevolution model, which can optimize the resulting architectural solutions and avoid the violations to the pattern constraints automatically. We evaluate the proposed approach through a case study: architecture design of a cinema booking system. The results show that the proposed approach can generate architectural solutions which are closer to the expert design.

It’s a good example explaining that the process of the gradual recognition of foreign architecture forms is also a process of localization. During this process, the local craftsmen have gradually created new and localized architectural forms based on their combination of traditional aesthetics and local techniques, which is significantly enlightening on the localized design of contemporary architectures.

Abstract:
This essay combines experiential writing, quotes from Virginia Woolf's novel The Waves and Gilles Deleuze's philosophy in order to indicate that architecture remains a largely overlooked instance of the world. This is particularly problematic in the context of the question of immanence, which can be understood to lie at the core of Deleuze's philosophy. Architecture's relation to thought is discussed here via Deleuze's writing in Difference and Repetition and pursued in conjunction with Simone Brott's notion of architectural ‘effects’. Rather than seeing encounters with architecture as the site of recognition of the habitual and routine, our experience of architecture-as-world should be understood to ceaselessly contribute to the emergence of thought. Brian Massumi's writing offers one potential direction to pursue, via the notion of the diagram tied to experience before it is fed into the loop of architectural design and its accompanying representational techniques.

Topics and themes become the key to open the insights of both theoretical and practical knowledge in architectural design; a concept in architectural design related issue as well. Ideally, the students of architecture do researches to generate new design ideas or proper design solutions. Prior to doing researches, it is necessary for them to find out how far the process of searches – literature review and application of topics and themes in the architectural design – have been done. This study was conducted with descriptive approach through case studies. The analysis unit is the final students of design studio class and students of the final project in the Department of Architecture, Faculty of Engineering, Binus University - Jakarta. The Results of the study illustrate that the architecture students of Binus University know and learn about the architecture research. However, they need the efforts to improve research skills, accurate literature searches, as well as exercise and evaluation of the implementation of topic-themes that started to be studied by students from the mid-level to theadvance-level. Today, large-scale programs for the construction of general education facilities are being implement-ed in the country. The Russian architecture of general educational buildings is gradually moving away from the standard architectural solutions approved by practice. This is influenced by the condi-tions of the current stage in the development of the state and society, and the tasks for the formation of an individual and a new generation of citizens. An analysis of the works of modern Russian architects suggests that the country has begun and is steadily gaining momentum in the process of forming the architecture of a new generation of school buildings. According to the author, the process is under the influence of a number of objective conditions. They are: the need to provide cost-effective architectur-al solutions of the design documentation for the mass construction of an object of General education in Russia; the continuation of the traditions of the author's architectural design for the public sector in education and the growing influence of the architecture of the non-public (private) sector to create innovative school buildings of the new generation; the impact of the reform processes in the field of pedagogical technologies in the system of General education and in solving complex issues of security and anti-terrorist protection of the object of General education on the formation of architecture of the school building; the operation of the object of General education in Emergency situation ( pandemic) and transition to the information society in the era of digitalization,; the enforcement of Federal laws of the Russian Federation in the field of safety of object of General education.
