The helix flute grinding was important to machine a complex revolving tool. The geometric parameters (especial its rake angle, flute depth and flute width) have essential effect on the performances of the tool. In order to evaluate how the quantity and length of cutting flutes on self-tapping pedicle screws affect the insertion torque and pullout strength, eight different self-tapping pedicle screw designs were evaluated. All screws had a threaded length of 35 mm and featured variations in the number of leads, as well as the length and quantity of cutting flutes. Abstract Boiler tube design for waste-to-energy applications has greatly evolved over the past 10 years with primary emphasis on reducing the very severe erosion/ corrosion of superheater tubes. Erosion is primarily caused by large solid particles in the flue gas stream, impacting against superheater surfaces. Another cause of superheater tube erosion is air and steam jet sootblowing which cuts the tubes by impingement against them. Corrosion of superheater tubes caused by the presence of chlorides at high tube metal temperatures as well as by localized reducing environments is discussed with
