Abstract:

Este estudo tem como objetivo desenvolver um modelo descritivo-normativo para análise de websites. Inicialmente, explicamos no que consiste a análise de similares, quais os objetivos e benefícios desse estágio no processo de design. Em seguida, descrevemos alguns modelos descritivos e normativos voltados à análise de sistemas de informação e representações gráficas, encontrados na literatura das áreas de design da informação e ergonomia. Por fim, apresentamos uma proposta de modelo descritivo-normativo a ser utilizado na fase de análise de similares em projetos de websites, exemplificando sua aplicação em um website do gênero informativo.

Abstract:

Este trabalho busca investigar como metodologias de projeto de sinalização, destacadas nas referencias bibliográficas, consideram a participação do usuário em suas diversas etapas e/ou fases. O objetivo é entender qual o seu papel no processo, tanto no que diz respeito a sua forma de participação (informativo, consultivo e participativo), quanto à etapa em que pode se dar o envolvimento (planejamento, projeto e implementação). Inicialmente foram abordados os conceitos e as implicações de sinalização e design centrado no usuário e, na sequencia, analisadas as metodologias que abordam o tema,através das diretrizes apontadas pela ISO WD 9241-210 (2010) e por Maguire (2001): (1) entendimento das necessidades do usuário; (2) participação do usuário no processo de projeto e, em caso afirmativo, (3) em que etapas ocorre e (4) de que maneira ela se manifesta. Os resultados apontam que quando o usuário é levado em consideração, isso acontece principalmente nas etapas iniciais do projeto, concentrando-se na compreensão de suas exigências e do contexto de uso e, de maneira mais tímida, durante a condução e finalização do projeto. Ainda, demonstram a preponderância do conhecimento técnico do projetista sobre o conhecimento advindo dos diferentes públicos ligado ao projeto (clientes, fabricantes, usuários etc.).+++++This study seeks to investigate how the signage design methodologies identified in the bibliographical references consider user participation in their various stages and/or phases. It aims to understand their role in the process, in terms both of type of participation (informative, consultative, and participatory) and of stages of involvement (planning, design and implementation). Consideration of the concepts and implications of user-centred signage and design was followed by analysis of the topic according to the directives indicated by ISO WD 9241-210 (2010) and Maguire (2001): (1) understanding of user requirements; (2) user participation in the design process and if it occurs, (3) the stages at which it does and (4) the way in which it takes place. The results indicate that when users are taken into consideration it is mainly in the early stages of the design, concentrating on understanding user requirements and usage context and, more tentatively, during the design process and finalisation. Moreover, they demonstrate a dominance of the designer’s technical knowledge about information gathered from different publics connected to the project (clients, manufacturers, users etc.).

Abstract:

Resumen: Introducción: La enfermedad causada por el virus del Zika representa uno de los principales problemas de salud pública dada su propagación y posibles complicaciones asociadas. Este estudio resalta la importancia de los medios de comunicación de masas en estos casos y aborda el análisis del contenido informativo publicado en la prensa de Almería como una de las provincias de riesgo en las que se han identificado la presencia de estos mosquitos. Objetivos: Explorar el contenido informativo sobre el virus del Zika publicado en la prensa local de Almería; identificar el periódico local con mayor producción sobre el tema y clasificar la información publicada según su contenido. Material y Métodos: Estudio de diseño descriptivo transversal realizado a partir de los resultados obtenidos en la hemeroteca virtual de los periódicos de La Voz de Almería, Diario de Almería e IDEAL, al introducir la palabra clave zika. Solamente se incluyeron publicaciones de ámbito autonómico en español publicadas desde el año 2015 hasta el momento de la búsqueda. Por último, se diseñaron categorías para clasificar las publicaciones según su contenido informativo. Resultados: Se hallaron un total de 10 publicaciones, siendo La Voz de Almería el periódico local con mayor número de publicaciones relacionadas con el virus del Zika. El 90% se relacionaba con la prevención de las administraciones públicas mediante la gestión y el tratamiento de las aguas residuales, mientras solo un 10% informaba a la población sobre la enfermedad y las medidas preventivas a adoptar. Conclusión: Ante la posible infección por el virus del Zika, la prensa almeriense debería enriquecer mediante una comunicación efectiva el contenido de sus publicaciones a propósito de educar e informar a la población sobre las principales medidas de prevención.Palabras clave: Educación para la Salud, Medios de comunicación, Zika Abstract: Introduction: Zika’s virus disease is one of the most important public health problems due to their spread and their possible associated complications. This study highligths the importance of mass media in this case and it analyzes information content published in the press of Almeria as one of the risk provinces which have identified these mosquitoes. Aim: Exploring the information content on the Zika virus published in the local press of Almería; identifying local newspaper with the highest production about this topic and ranking published information by their content. Material and Methods: Cross-sectional study design made from the results obtained in the virtual hemeroteca of the newspaper La Voz de Almería, Diario de Almeria and IDEAL, with the keyword zika. Only autonomic publications in spanish published from 2015 until the time of the search were included. Finally, categories were designed to classify publications according to their informative content. Results: A total of 10 publications were found. La Voz de Almería was the local newspaper with the largest number of publications related to the Zika virus. Around 90% publications was related to the prevention of public administrations through the management and treatment of wastewater, while only 10% report to population about disease and preventive measures to be taken. Conclusion: As a result of possible Zika virus infection, Almeria’s press should enrich their publications content throught a efective comunication in order to educate and inform to the population about the main preventive measures.Keywords Health education, Mass media, Zika

Abstract:

The aim of the public servicing is to draw a simple design of Ar Ridho kiosk at Klewer traditional market, Surakarta city. This simple design is hoped as a basic in designing the kiosk that supports kiosk revenue increasing. The public servicing method used is a stakeholder and contingency approach assistancy method. The stakeholder approach is used in order to gain effectiveness in assistancy, while the contingency approach is used in order to gain more than one simple designs. The result is three pleasant, attractive and informative simple designs. All of simple designs have a similarity in describing a pleasant and attractive kiosk, but different in describing an informative kiosk. The pleasant and attractive kiosk is described by the vastness of kiosk. The first simple design describes an informative kiosk because provides an information computer, the second simple design describes a more informative kiosk because provides an information computer and mirror, and the third simple design describes an informative kiosk because provides an information computer, mirror and dressing room. Consummers respond the simple designs. Some responds suggest improvement into 2 or 3 simple design dimension and cost calculation for each simple design, while other responds suggest to the kiost such as room widening, display grouping and on-line transaction.

Abstract:

Este artigo descreve como se deu, no Mxico, o processo de introduo de novas diretrizes aplicadas a bulas e embalagens de medicamentos, tendo como foco central o paciente. O artigo est dividido em quatro partes: 1) o processo de design da informao desenvolvido pelo Communication Research Institute (CRI - Instituto de Pesquisa em Comunicao) e aplicado a um analgsico infantil; 2) o seminrio realizado junto a profissionais da indstria farmacutica, autoridades de rgos reguladores e designers que atuam em laboratrios a fim de convenc-los de que possvel trabalhar-se bulas de medicamentos de uma nova forma; 3) a adaptao das orientaes criadas pelo CRIA ao caso do Mxico; e 4) consideraes finais. Este artigo discorre tambm sobre a proposta de uma tabela de especificaes, criada pelo Centro de Estudos Avanados em Design (CEAD), cujo contedo rene informaes gerais sobre bulas de medicamentos para uso do designer e que cobre todo o processo, desde a identificao correta do medicamento at sua utilizao e eliminao. E, por fim, feita uma anlise crtica do processo de design da informao utilizado.Como apresentar informaes sobre medicamentos para as pessoas: Na Europa, obrigatrio que cada medicamento venha acompanhado de um folheto informativo, normalmente colocado dentro da embalagem e feito de um papel fino, longo e impresso em sua totalidade, de forma densa.Testes de legibilidade e questionrios sobre o contedo dos folhetos atuais apontam o problema de ordem prtica que estes apresentam: eles no atingem os nveis mnimos de eficincia desejada. Fato que, muito provavelmente, causado pela existncia de conflitos internos legislao e regulamentao e pelo baixo nvel de cooperao por parte dos acionistas envolvidos. a partir da experincia adquirida com o processo de escrita-desenho-teste de informaes, combinada com um olhar crtico sobre as diretrizes atuais, que vemos sinais claros da necessidade de mais avanos. preciso que se criem novas alternativas, definidas a partir da perspectiva do paciente, que sejam mais eficientes e que estejam relacionadas com o contexto. Dentro do conjunto de circunstncias legais atual, pouco provvel que se desenvolva bulas que permitam que as pessoas tomem remdios de forma correta. Designs alternativos sero classificados de ilegais e no sero permitidos para uso na prtica. Tais alternativas, entretanto, so um ponto-chave na gerao de debates entre os acionistas acerca da legislao, orientaes e informaes corretas sobre o medicamento para pacientes.[ Download ]

Abstract:

Este artículo presenta herramientas relacionadas con los métodos del diseño que, en el contexto regional del Tolima, han aportado al análisis de situaciones en las que se evidencia una falta de conciencia social, reflejada en comportamientos de individuos frente al entorno en el que habitan. Esto ha requerido de la conformación de comunidades creativas, integradas por estudiantes, docentes y líderes de organizaciones, quienes utilizan la narración colaborativa para identificar experiencias que permitan desarrollar la empatía frente a usuarios determinados, en un contexto de casos de estudio que se orientan desde la academia. Se toman como base los Proyectos Integradores de Aula —PIA— en la Corporación Unificada Nacional de Educación Superior —CUN—, los cuales siguen una metodología cualitativa, como el Design Thinking, para involucrar al grupo objetivo de cada proyecto en la definición del perfil de audiencia, ideas y construcción de los prototipos, a fin de obtener datos que contribuyan en la prospección de posibles futuros para la región. En ese sentido, se espera aportar a la construcción de una cultura que enfatice en la calidad de vida, en la recuperación de aspectos simbólicos, en el desarrollo de capacidades y en la proyección de elementos comunicativos que intervienen en el universo informativo que se percibe a través de los nuevos medios, utilizados para la Investigación+Creación.

A designer commits to a signal distribution that is informative about a payoff-relevant state. Conditional upon the privately observed signals, agents take actions that affect their payoffs as well as those of the designer. We show how to derive the (designer) optimal information structure in static finite environments. We fully characterize it in a symmetric binary setting for a parameterized game. Abstract:

Este artigo traz os resultados obtidos com uma pesquisa sobre rótulos de produtos de higiene e cosméticos para cabelos e seu papel como interface comunicacional capaz de desencadear sentimentos e emoções nas pessoas. Constatou-se que circulam no mercado, produtos cujo design dos rótulos apresenta um estilo tradicional descritivo e informativo, marcado por um caráter funcional de comunicação. E existem outros rótulos que não seguem esse padrão, assumindo um caráter irreverente, sustentado por valores existenciais, que procura criar um diálogo com o usuário ou provocá-lo e cuja aplicação caracteriza uma distinta experiência de produto. Procurou-se demonstrar que as categorias identificadas servem de apoio para dar direcionamento a projetos que levam em consideração o estímulo das emoções, partindo da hipótese que os rótulos irreverentes, geram respostas emocionais diferentes dos rótulos funcionais. Testes de interação com seis rótulos foram aplicados com 43 mulheres, com o uso de questionário em forma de gráfico de diferencial semântico contendo palavras relativas a 12 emoções, organizadas em seis pares bipolares, opostos, posicionados nas extremidades de uma escala de sete pontos. Os resultados mostraram que os rótulos funcionais evocam emoções mais brandas que os rótulos irreverentes, porém os funcionais se mostraram mais desejáveis. O estudo conclui que a categorização é pertinente ao projeto de produto cujo objetivo seja suscitar emoções distintas, e o diagrama de diferencial semântico pode servir para medir emoções sutis, mas não deve ser a única ferramenta a contribuir em um projeto cujo objetivo seja o de provocar emoções mais intensas.

ABSTRACTMultiple communicative strategies can be followed in architecture according to the target audience. The mechanisms of representation may radically vary when the recipient is the client, the constructor, the curator, a colleague or even an instructor (1). As an example, the approach may be mainly visual when the target is the client. However, it may be strictly conceptual when pointing to the jury members in a competition. In certain cases, the adaptation of the graphic language to the different scenarios leads to such a distortion on the message that the original project is hardly recognizable. This article will focus on the project of the Public Seattle Library, designed by the architect Rem Koolhaas. The analysis of five different communicative strategies of the project show peculiar and unequal graphic narrations: from the concept book of the competition, the website of LMN (the American partners of Rem Koolhaas- OMA in this particular project), the website of OMA, the coverage on the Seattle press, the Library Brochure for teenagers and the approach developed on the "Content" book. Rem Koolhaas coined the concept of "design of information" to express the fundamental relationship between the message and media in architecture. In his practice, the communicative strategy is present from the beginning of the design process till the final stages. In this article, the thoughtful comparison of these examples will enable to extract conclusions on the use of communication in architectural design and reflect on the iconic and communicative dimension of architecture in general.RESUMENEn arquitectura, se pueden seguir múltiples estrategias comunicativas en función de la audiencia a la que estén dirigidas. Los mecanismos de representación varían radicalmente cuando el receptor es un cliente, el constructor, un comisario expositivo, un colega arquitecto o un profesor. Como ejemplo, se adoptaría una aproximación fundamentalmente visual en el caso de dirigirnos a un cliente, mientras que para una comunicación en un concurso, se optaría por una aproximación netamente conceptual. En determinados casos, la adaptación del lenguaje gráfico a los distintos escenarios genera tal distorsión en el mensaje que el proyecto original resulta prácticamente irreconocible. El artículo se centra en el proyecto de la Biblioteca Pública de Seattle, diseñado por Rem Koolhaas. El análisis de cinco estrategias comunicativas distintas nos muestra narraciones gráficas casi antagónicas. Desde la propuesta del concurso, la web de LMN (los socios americanos de OMA), pasando por la propia web de OMA, la cobertura en prensa o el folleto informativo de la propia biblioteca, Rem Koolhaas muestra la especial relación entre el mensaje y el medio en arquitectura, acuñando el término “diseño de la información”. En su trabajo, la estrategia comunicativa se encuentra presente desde el inicio del proceso de diseño y hasta los estadios finales. Mediante la comparación analítica de los distintos ejemplos se podrán extraer conclusiones del uso de la comunicación en el diseño arquitectónico y su reflejo en la dimensión icónica de la arquitectura.

Abstract:

The present paper studies the process of information generation during design and focuses on the relationship between the information importance and the required effort for its generation. Multiple associative relationships among design entities (handled as design descriptors) are used to represent the design knowledge. The characteristics of the dependent and the primary descriptors are examined and their distinct roles in the design process are discussed. Term definitions concerning the information importance and the design effort are also introduced. The descriptors are used to form a matrix. A number of operations on this matrix results in its transformation, with the final matrix reflecting the quantitative relationship between the information importance and the design effort. From the aforementioned matrix, a unique sorted list for the primary design descriptors is produced. Following this list during descriptor instantiation ensures the production of design information of maximum importance with the least effort in the early design stages. The design of a belt conveyor is used as a basis for a better understanding of the theoretical analysis and for a demonstration of the use of the suggested descriptor list.
