Modern Control Theory is applied to analyze an existing aluminum mill drive, which was originally designed by Classical Methods.
The system is studied with Optimal Control and z-transform zero-pole locus tools.
The results and also the original design are compared with the performance of simulation. The models are built with the transition matrix and iterative procedures.

This thesis deals with the construction process of the apartment house Ponavia Park located in Brno. The thesis solves the individual realization phases of the main building phase. Building site equipment is designed for the projected construction process in three different variations. A technical report is also included in the building site. Critical points within the transport of materials and machines are also verified. A financial plan for the whole building is made as an summarizing time schedule for the apartment building. The sources for the financial plan are the figures taken from the Czech building objects classifications (JKSO). The summarizing time schedule is made in MS Projekt software and it’s designed as a Gantt diagram. A design of the main building machines and mechanisms was also made for the projected construction process. All of the machines were assessed for their respective required function on the building site. Also included in this thesis is a construction method for the reinforced concrete structures. The construction method deals with the realization process of waterproof concrete, reinforcement binding, formwork of the vertical and horizontal structures and also the process of concrete curing. The construction method is followed up by quality control and test plans for reinforced concrete structures, and a construction site safety plan that is made in the form of predicted main safety risks at the building site. For the noise load on the surrounding buildings a noise study is made. The study examines the intensity of noise in the protected outdoor space. This study was made in the Hluk+ software. The thesis also includes an item budget for the apartment house that was made in Build Power S software.

This diploma thesis deals with demolition of the motorway overpass. The bridge (overpass) is located over the D1 motorway from Prag to Brno at the 115,881 km. On the brigde runs the local comunication II/352 between villages Švábka and Měšín. The bridge demolition is part of the D1 renovation plan. The main reason behind the demolitions si that the bridge no longer meets it´s lenght requierments. During the demolition and construction will be any use of II/352 for public transport over the bulding site forbiden. Thesis I worked on a project basis provided the building permit for an office complex of two identical fourth storey buildings which from the first storey intersects the inner atrium. The buildings are located within the CTZone Brno in the street Masna. The buildings are designed so that the ground floor is a garage for cars and retail space for rent and above-ground floors are reserved for office space lease. Objects are based on a floating pile conducted by the CFA, which builds prefabricated concrete skeleton. The cladding is formed by a combined system of aluminum windows, masonry face and sheet plotted on a system of stainless steel brackets. Roofing of buildings is done running flat roofs, the roofing of the atrium serves as a walkable roof. The garage is designed bearing slab plate fitted topping for added durability. Internal Partition Walls and walls are made of aerated concrete blocks. Thesis deals with construction technological preparations for the construction and contains a technical report, coordinating the situation buildings with wider relationships routes, time and financial plan, study the implementation of the main stages, the project site equipment, design tools, technological regulation, inspection and test plan, itemized budget, comparing two designs rough superstructure and appropriate drawings.

L'ambition de cette recherche est d'interroger et de clarifier l'emploi du terme événement à propos de réalisations architecturales et des phénomènes qui les entourent. Elle a été menée grâce à l'étude de trois quartiers de tours et d'affaires européens – la City, la Défense, Francfort – qui apparaissent propices à la recherche d'événements. L'événement architectural y est vu, à l'instar de tout événement, non comme un donné immanent advenant par lui-même, mais comme un construit auquel participe chaque acteur en amont et en aval, du client qui organise un concours aux médias qui fabriquent sa réception. Cette construction est caractéristique de la période récente. L'événement architectural tel que nous le définissons n'est pas un simple mode d'existence de l'événement mais le produit d'un rapport au temps particulier que certains historiens voient comme étant uniquement tourné vers le présent et qualifient à l'aide de la notion de régime d'historicité. Dans les quartiers étudiés, l'événement prend la forme de mises en scène de l'existant lors de festivals ou grâce à la réalisation de bâtiments qui se présentent comme atemporels et hors de toute question de style. Il ne provoque plus nécessairement de rupture. Mais alors que ce phénomène tourne tous les regards vers l'architecture des bâtiments, il opère également une réduction dans leurs caractéristiques architecturales. L'architecture, en devenant événement ou en étant utilisée par un événement festif, n'est plus vue que sous l'angle de questions typologiques plus ou moins réduites et de différenciation pour faire mémoire. Ces deux points sont vus comme la part irréductible de l'architecture, indissoluble dans l'événement, dernier levier d'action pour les architectes aux prises avec une demande en événement<br>The aim of this research is to question and clarify the use of the term event when talking about architectural realizations and the phenomena that occur around them. It has been conducted by analyzing three European tall building and business districts – the City, La Défense, and Frankfurt – which seem propitious for the location of events. Just like any other event, the architectural one is not viewed here as a spontaneous given which occurs in and of itself but as a construction in which a variety of actors take part, from the client who organizes the competition beforehand all the way to the media who, in the aftermath of the event, generate its reception. This construction is characteristic of recent times. The architectural event such as we define it is not a mere mode of existence of the event but the product of a special relationship to time which some historians see as being only preoccupied with the present and define thanks to the notion of regime of historicity. In the districts studied, the event takes the form of a staging of the existing by way of festivals or thanks to the completion of buildings which present themselves as timeless and devoid of any question of style. It no longer necessarily leads to a breach. But while this phenomenon has all gazes turned toward the architecture of the buildings, it also diminishes their architectural characteristics. By becoming an event in itself or being used for festive events, architecture is henceforth only considered through the angle of a limited number of typological questions and that of its ability to distinguish itself in order to be remembered. These two aspects are seen as the irreducible facets of architecture, those which cannot be dissolved in the event. Extra is processed itemized budget with bill of quantities, risk plan of construction of steel hall and construction details. This building is very interesting about architectural design. The basis for this thesis was a drawing documentation for realization of this construction.

The theme of this thesis is the preparation of project documentation at the level for the implementation of the construction of primary schools in the village Moravany u Brna. In the framework of the preparatory study work has been processed the entire campus, including outdoor sports facilities, paved surfaces, parking lots and additional objects required for the running of the school. The subject of this thesis is only part of the main object SO01 elementary school and part of it and this is a three storey building with the main longitudinal structural wall system. The carrier of the walls and the ceiling structure is of reinforced concrete. The roof structure is designed as a desktop with internal drainage. The façade of the building is divided according to the floor, the first floor is addressed to the contact insulation system for cladding of ceramic straps in the second and the third floor is designed to ventilated the facade of fiber cement plates with colored solution. The subject of the proposal is to solve traffic in peace into two parking lots and the Terminal for lifting children.

The excess transformer capacity not only increases initial capital cost but also endures higher Hysteresis loss in transformer core (iron loss) throughout transformer lifetime. This study is based on an example of existed campus building with 28,580KVA transformer capacity, 31,88KW in contract capacity and 11.07% in actual usage rate. After reviewed transformer utilization rate, cost analysis, remote meter monitoring system and building application power demand scheme, the optimized transformer capacity should be 10,030KVA. In this article, we also discuss the undesired capital depreciation, higher iron loss and power factor losses issues due to transformer capacity over design.
Based on this study, the author proposes to utilize Demand Use Intensity (DUI) guideline from Bureau of Engergy, Department of Economics Affair, optimize transformer design, and minimize power factor loss for future building electricity planning and transformer design.

Packaging is an important element responsible for brand growth and one of the main rea-sons for producers to gain competitive advantages through technological innovation. In this re-gard, the aim of this work is to design a fully autonomous electronic system for a smart bottle packaging, being integrated in a European project named ROLL-OUT. The desired application for the smart bottle is to act as a fill-level sensor system in order to determine the liquid content level that exists inside an opaque bottle, so the consumer can exactly know the remaining quantity of the product inside.
An in-house amorphous indium–gallium–zinc oxide thin-film transistor (a-IGZO TFT) model, previously developed, was used for circuit designing purposes. This model was based in an artificial neural network (ANN) equivalent circuit approach.
Taking into account that only n-type oxide TFTs were used, plenty of electronic building-blocks have been designed: clock generator, non-overlapping phase generator, a capacitance-to-voltage converter and a comparator. As it was demonstrated by electrical simulations, it has been achieved good functionality for each block, having a final system with a power dissipation of 2.3 mW (VDD=10 V) not considering the clock generator. Four printed circuit boards (PCBs) have been also designed in order to help in the testing phase.
Mask layouts were already designed and are currently in fabrication, foreseeing a suc-cessful circuit fabrication, and a major step towards the design and integration of complex trans-ducer systems using oxide TFTs technology.
