On hero typology in the Czech crime novel in its “renaissance” periodIn the article the author analyses the typology of the central character in the Czech crime novel in its “renaissance” period 1958–1969, taking into account main tendencies of the production of the said period socialist crime novel and leaning towards the Western tradition of crime fiction, which had great influence on the appearance and character of the leading protagonist. Taking into account those tendencies, the author discusses the frequency of the worldly known “Poirot” type of the “great detective”, a wise and an experienced old man who sees crime as a logical puzzle, and tries to prove how the production of the period was marked by the reduction of the typological image of the main hero.Smrt má ráda poezii a nemá ráda stáří? O typologii hrdinů včeské detektivce vobdobí její obrodyV článku se analyzuje typologie ústředních postav v české detektivce 1958–1969 se zřetelem k dvěma hlavním tendencím v dobové produkci socialistická detektivka a vliv západní tradice. Na základě vybraných děl se autor snaží odpovědět na otázku, do jaké míry se v dobové detektivní próze prosadil tzv. poirotovský typ „velkého detektiva“, moudrého a zkušeného starce, který se zločinem zabývá jako logickou hrou, ale také i proč lze mluvit o určité redukci typologie hlavních postav.

Abstract:
Članek preučuje politiko reprezentacij v detektivskih romanih Avgusta Demšarja prek dekonstruktivne analize detektivske pripovedi in detektivske triade. Skozi perspektivo domačega noira so predstavljeni romani Olje na balkonu (2007), Tanek led (2009), Evropa (2010), Miloš (2013), Otok (2018) in Cerkev (2020). Demšarjevi romani se s kritiko kulturne konservativnosti in reakcionarnosti pogajajo s konservativnim toposom, ki je inherenten strukturi detektivskega romana. Na manifestni ravni pripovedi prek politično korektnih detektivov in lezbične detektivke nasprotujejo bigotizmu, vendar prek detektivske triade potrjujejo veljavnost represivne spolne morale. Detektivsko delo, morilski motivi in razmerja med spolnimi in družbenimi identitetami žrtev se skladajo s pregrehami in z normami patriarhalnega krščanskega imaginarija. Spodletelo srečanje med javnimi in zasebnimi zločini ponuja izviren vpogled v strahove sodobne slovenske družbe.

Denna uppsats handlar om normbrytande karaktärer i serierna Bron, The bridge och The tunnel och deras kulturella kontext. Genom karaktärsanalys av de kvinnliga huvudkaraktärerna i respektive serie undersöks vad deras normbrytande beteenden och tankesätt kan spegla av dess kulturella kontext. Genom att analysera hur karaktärerna bemöts av bikaraktärer, analyseras bilden av hur accepterande den kulturen som karaktären befinner sig i är. Uppsatsen behandlar ämnen som den ”problematiska detektiven” och normativa beteenden i det syfte att påvisa hur adaptioner påverkas av kulturell kontext.

True crime has established itself as a genre with a huge amount of dedicated viewers worldwide,and has gone from ”trash culture” to big, Emmy award-winning productions. Consumers of thegenre has evolved from passively watching the series on the couch, to actively getting engaged in thecase over internet forums as ”digital detectives”. In combination with the technological developmentand the growth of the media, including the shift in power this has contributed to, we now face newchallenges that society has not yet been able to address. The genres influence on its consumers iswidely debated, as is the influence of today’s media climate on our perception of the world, andstudies that address why we expose ourself to this type of content have been written about anddocumented in numerous ways. However, there is no account of the consumers’ own understandingof the relationship between the media, increased opportunities of communication and the genres'growing popularity. This study aims to investigate how today’s media climate and the digital culturewe live in have contributed to the phenomenon that true crime is, and what factors causethe consumers to evolve from passive to active. The documentary Making a Murderer serves asbasis for the study, it is available in two seasons and depicts the murder of Teresa Halbach.To fulfill the purpose of the study, a qualitative method approach was used. As part of the pilotstudy a focus group was conducted, which was then supplemented with personal interviews. Thedata that emerged in these studies were processed and analyzed thematically with the support of thedocumented theories. From the themes and patterns that were developed, conclusions could bewritten, the sub-questions could be answered and the purpose of the study was fulfilled. I came tothe conclusion that mediatization and convergence culture can be assumed to play a major part inthe emergence of digital detectives, as well as in the development of a relatively new form of spoilerculture in which collective intelligence is used to reform society. Furthermore, I found a concernamong the consumers about how dangerous it can be if media and civilians act as judges insociety, and how the possible lack of source criticism can affect the public’s perception of the world.In order for consumers to evolve from passive to active, and for them to be affected on an emotionallevel, a real and detailed picture of the case needs to be portrayed, with socio-economic factors aswell as an insight into the protagonist’s life.

I dagens samhälle är barnen mer stillasittande, det kommer larmrapporter som varnar för att detta kan leda till hälsoproblem hos många unga. Vi har valt att titta på hur pedagoger arbetar med rörelse och motorisk träning i skolan, och om alla barn får möjlighet till rörelse under hela skoldagen. Vi vill även se om rörelse och motorik kan ha en koppling till inlärning. Undersökningen vi har gjort bygger på intervjuer med sju informanter med olika professioner. Studien visar att rörelse och motorik har en indirekt koppling till inlärning, då detta påverkar barnens koncentration. Resultatet visar att många pedagoger är medvetna om rörelsens betydelse, men att man arbetar med rörelse och motorik i olika utsträckning på de olika skolorna.

Abstract:
Syftet i föreliggande uppsats är att undersöka hur tre kvinnliga detektiver i tre samtida kriminalromaner gestaltas utifrån ett intersektionellt perspektiv och ett genusperspektiv. Vid analysen använde jag mig av Paulina de los Reyes och Diana Mulinaris samt Nina Lykkes intersektionalitetsbegrepp. Jag använde mig även av Maria Nikolajevas schema över hur manligt och kvinnligt gestaltas inom litteraturen. Utifrån analysen kan det konstateras att samtliga av de undersökta kvinnliga detektiverna till viss del eller helt bröt mot de typiska skildringarna i Nikolajevas schema, vilket går i linje med den tidigare forskningen inom området. Det framkommer även att det är fler faktorer än kön som är av betydelse för detektiverna och deras maktpositioner, både inom arbete och privatliv. Vidare problematiserar jag de framkomna resultaten i analysen ur ett genreteoretiskt perspektiv, för att i förlängningen även diskutera och argumentera för kriminallitteraturens plats i skolan.

Abstract:
Abstract Our purpose was to understand how social workers experience the possible complexities that working with economical aid can entail. As an example we chose to focus on long-term economical aid work. We aimed to address the question of which factors could affect their work. In a prior study, done by Dellgran & Höjer (2003) the conclusion was drawn  that  the combination of economical aid, healthcare and schools makeup a third of  practical social work in the terms of the proportion of the amount of social workers, but only 8 percent of the research is done in those areas. Other studies (Stranz, 2007) demonstrate that the research that is done on working with economical aid is deficient. We interviewed six social workers in two smaller municipalities in the southern of Sweden. Our result indicated that the social workers felt pressured by their work-load and the fact that the amount of new cases had increased. They thought that a possible reason for this could be the weak economic climate and changes in the labour market policies. They also felt that alterations and long office turnaround times at other administrative authorities also contributed. The results showed that the majority of the social workers in our study used a motivational approach in their meetings with clients and they also had the best interest in mind for each and every client. We chose to use the theoretical perspectives of Human service organizations by Yeheskel Hasenfeld (1983) and Demokratins väktare (our translation: the guardians of democracy) by Lennart Lundquist (1998) when we analyzed our results.   Keywords: Economical aid, social workers, long-termed economical aid, human service organizations.

Abstract:
This master's thesis is a study of how librarians are depicted in crime fiction. 12 American and English mysterynovels featuring librarians in a central role were studied and analysed using character theory. Recurring traitswere identified and organised into themes. A number of prominent traits and themes emerged that show librariansas orderly and organised bibliophiles, but with a taste for adventure and excitement. They are keen problem solverswho enjoy a challenge, at work, or in the form of crime detection. These traits show fairly different sides ofthe characters, and hint of librarians having something of a dubble nature. Some of the traits resonate with findings in earlier studies in the field, but the old stereotype was only parti -ally confirmed. In general the image of librarians presented in the mystery novels is a positive one, which inmany respects also rings true against the background of actual librarians and library work. This is a two years master's thesis in Archive, Library and Museum studies.

Abstract:
Environmental storytelling är något som kan verka enkelt men är mycket komplext. Det är något som låter spelaren, likt en detektiv, undersöka ledtrådar och dra slutsatser ifrån dessa. För att förstå detta i grunden krävdes kunskap inom berättande och teori om uppbyggande av narrativ. Detta följdes sedan av kunskap inom mise-en-scéne, environmental storytelling och människors tolkning och deras sammankopplande av de bitar de har framför sig. Det sista var information om hur objekt uppfattas genom inbjudande till handling tillsammans med form. Dessa teorier appliceras sedan på objekt för att skapa ett visuellt berättat narrativ i en spelmiljö. Tillsammans med en kvalitativ intervju som kvantifierades för resultat fick undersökningen resultat. Den visade på att korrekt designade objekt med specifika fysiska tecken var relativt framgångsrika på att förmedla ett specifikt, skrivet narrativ, bildat av fyra separata händelseenheter.

Abstract:
Approaches to carrying out preventive and other community policing activities can be very different. They mostly depend on the police officer's ingenuity and self-initiative, no matter what role he holds in the police. One of the most common methods of working in communities is the implementation of prevention projects. To solve problems in the field of crime, traffic safety, illicit drugs, breaches of public order, we are working in cooperation with the local community with the help of the already resounding traditional prevention project »Academy of Detective Franček« (hereinafter ADF). The goal of cooperation with the community is the same – to achieve greater safety and security in the local environment. Today, safety presents an important value in life. Consequently, the police need to cooperate with the local community, and it is especially important to present the police's work to the younger population. It is necessary to develop a positive attitude toward the preventive action of the police among children.

Abstract:
Die Anwendung von Deep Learning in der manuellen Montage birgt großes Potenzial, Montagezeiten zu reduzieren und Montagefehler zu vermeiden. Indem der Montageablauf mithilfe einer Kamera erfasst und die aufgezeichneten Bilder durch einen Objekterkennungsalgorithmus analysiert werden, lassen sich Position, Lage und Art der montierten Bauteile bestimmen. Daraus lassen sich wiederum Informationen über Arbeitsschritte, Montagefehler oder den aktuellen Zustand des Produkts ableiten, sodass die Mitarbeiter bei der Montage durch entsprechende Anweisungen unterstützt werden können. Es stellt sich jedoch die Frage, inwieweit gegenwärtige Produkte für den Einsatz von Deep Learning geeignet sind. Nur wenn die zu montierenden Bauteile sicher erkannt werden, ist der Einsatz in der manuellen Montage sinnvoll. Bestehende Gestaltungsrichtlinien adressieren diesen Aspekt bislang nicht. Im Forschungsprojekt wurde daher untersucht, welche Eigenschaften Produkte aufweisen sollten, um eine optimale Objekterkennung zu ermöglichen. Dazu wurden Hypothesen zu positiven und negativen Bauteileigenschaften hinsichtlich der Erkennungsgenauigkeit formuliert und in praktischen Versuchen überprüft. Dabei konnte gezeigt werden, dass alle untersuchten Objekte durch den eingesetzten Objekterkennungsalgorithmus sehr gut detektiert werden. Aus den vorliegenden Forschungsergebnissen lassen sich daher keine Einschränkungen in der Produktgestaltung ableiten.

Abstract:
Das im Rahmen dieses Beitrages vorgestellte Verfahren „MiDAcLife“ stellt ein neu entwickeltes Lebensdauerprognoseverfahren dar, welches die Ermittlung einer Wöhlerkurve im HCF-Bereich mit lediglich eines Ermüdungsversuches ermöglicht. Diese Reduktion des Probenumfangs auf ein Minimum von lediglich einer Probe wird durch die Kombination der Schadensakkumulation nach den Ansätzen von Palmgren-Miner und die zerstörungsfreie Überwachung der Materialreaktion infolge einer dynamischen Beanspruchung erreicht und führt somit zu einer erheblich Zeit- und Kostenersparnis. Basierend auf der Tatsache, dass mikrostrukturelle Änderungen, welche durch den Ermüdungsvorgang hervorgerufen werden, mit Hilfe von ZfP-Verfahren (bspw. Thermografie und Resistometrie) sensitiv detektiert werden können, werden diese Signale in dem Lebensdauerprognoseverfahren genutzt, um eine partielle Schädigung jeder Laststufe eines Laststeigerungsversuches zu errechnen. Diese Signale werden durch eine Umrechnung in eine Schädigung überführt und können anschließend in die Zusammenhänge der Schadensakkumulation integriert werden. Das Verfahren ermöglicht es somit „virtuelle“ Bruchlastspielzahlen zu den jeweiligen Spannungsamplituden des Laststeigerungsversuches zu errechnen und somit eine Wöhlerkurve zu generieren. Aufgrund des deutlichen Informationsgewinns gegenüber einer herkömmlichen Bestimmung einer Wöhlerkurve stellt die vorgangsorientierte Betrachtung des Ermüdungsprozesses durch die ZfP eine essentielle Stütze des Verfahrens dar. Die dargestellten Forschungsergebnisse beziehen sich hauptsächlich auf den ferritisch-bainitischen Stahl 20MnMoNi5-5, welcher in deutschen Kernenergieanlagen im Bereich von Spraylines Einsatz findet. Zur Validierung des Verfahrens, auch im Hinblick auf die eingesetzten Messverfahren, werden die Ergebnisse beispielhaft an weiteren Stählen validiert, welche in ihrem Materialverhalten und somit den mikrostrukturell ablaufenden Prozessen von dem 20MnMoNi5-5 Stahl unterscheiden.
