Abstract:
As a result of the conducted researches in the territory of Kalinkovichi it was found 186 species of phytopathogenic fungi and fungus-like organisms, belonging to 4 divisions – Oomycota, Ascomycota, Basidiomycota and Deuteromycota. The detected micromycetes were parasitizing on 165 species of feeding plants from 45 families. The division of Ascomycota in the town of Kalinkovichi is represented by 70 species of 19 genera, the division of Basidiomycota – 32 species from 9 ge nera, the division of Deuteromycota – 47 species from 18 genera and the division of Oomycota – 37 species from 7 genera.

Abstract:
A practical approach to combining mitosporic and meiosporic fungi in one classification is described. The taxonomic data base used with the computer retrieval system Entrez for searching both GenBank and MEDLINE has been revised to conservatively place mitosporic fungi in the appropriate meiosporic taxon, thereby making the Deuteromycota redundant. As more data are available, it will be possible to move mitosporic taxa adjacent to their closest meiosporic relatives at the genus level. Placing mitosporic individuals in meiosporic species, however, is unlikely to be practical in most cases. Key

Under low nutrient conditions hyphae of certain fungi are strongly attracted to microcolonies of bacteria belonging to the genera Pseudomonas and Agrobacterium. Hyphae of the fungi penetrate the microcolonies and proliferate to produce coral-loid, haustorial-like masses of absorptive hyphae. The bacteria in the colonies are lysed and the contents apparently absorbed as a nutrient source by the fungi. The four fungi that demonstrated this capability were Agaricus brunnescens (= A. bisporus), Coprinus quadrifidus, Lepista nuda, and Pleurotus ostreatus. Approximately 100 additional species belong

Poplars are fast-growing broadleaved tree species inhabiting river banks and sites with accessible water supplies. Vegetative propagation makes them suitable for establishing highly productive plantations along big rivers and in flooded plains. The production of large quantities of biomass provides a good substrate for various organisms. The aim of this study was to identify fungal species occurring in the poplar plantations in Serbia and to determine their frequency and role in decomposition of tree parts.
