The development of Tabarka has sought to break with the traditional model of Eastern, using a differentiated tourism with the valorization of natural environment. If this development had suggested integration into a virtuous circle of development of tourism which may initiate a beginning of convergence towards a sustainable tourism development, the connection leading to seaside tourism questions the break with the traditional model poles of the East. Therefore, this PhD dissertation deals with the prospects of tourism development to Tabarka in connection with this break and the issues associated with it in terms of sustainability

Full textIn spite of its natural potentialities, tobarka underwent the most severe economical drop. Natural and socio-economical restraints not only stand in the way of agricultural growth but cause the breaking of the ecosystems. This loss in natural resources (forests, soils, game, tec. ) is aggravated by demographic expansion. To meet this situation, the government launched agricultural projects with very modest local results and touristic projects entailing environmental effects and contributing to the leaving out apart of the small peasantry. The author, after analysing the ecological and socio-economical aspects, exposes the thesis of a local development, at the same time differentiated and integrated in the framework of the agro-sylvo-pastoral system, that would better the peasants' condition and preserve forests resources. The author demonstrates this with sensibility ans, above all, objectivity

Full textThis thesis proposes to study the issues taking into account the environmental effort of a company in its accounting records. Our theoretical study has concluded that environmental responsibility is expressed toward stakeholders and is inevitably achieved, through sustained efforts in information and communication. Through a quantitative study conducted on 90 Tunisian companies and 86 charted accountants, we found out that the state is seen as the most privileged party of the environmental information and that it is the development that is sustainably the most affected by the actions taken to protect the environment. Current expenditure, investment environment and the provision of an environmental budget can be considered as an indicator for measuring the environmental performance of the company

Full textIn many countries, tourism is a tool for development. Yet, the positive effects expected through this tool are often followed by a series of negative impacts. These are closely related to the control and management of tourism and the fragility of the territories in which it unfolds. These negative impacts limit the sustainable development of many local areas even though the government's commitments towards this approach. This is essentially because of the low awareness of local decision makers in this process and the lack of operational tools to implement and carry out a strategy for sustainable tourism at a local level. So, this work which combines research and professionalism provides a transversal vision on sustainable tourism and development of Nefzaoua’s oasis (Tunisia) and Tafilalet’s oasis (Morocco). Moreover beyond the inventory of these set of problems, on one hand it is about giving criterias for a suitable tourism in oasis. On the other hand, the aim is to propose an approach and a methodological toolkit as a dashboard and also tools for improvement. Tools for decision makers that will help them to define, implement and establish a monitoring of their territorial strategy for a sustainable tourism

Full textThis thesis focuses on the integration of stakeholders in the implementation of sustainable environmental strategy. It presents the contributions and constraints of the literature on the notion of sustainable development within the company and its managerial variation: i. E. The stakeholders approach. This approach emphasizes the classification of stakeholders, but remains silent as to how this integration in the process of environmental development strategy takes place. We’ve resorted the theory of translation as an extension of stakeholder theory in order to be able to follow the process from the point of view of process (phases) as well as in terms of variables of Incorporation (stakeholders). To solve the problem, the first stage of empirical research is a qualitative exploratory study conducted within twenty five companies and five institutions operating on behalf of sustainable development. The second step will be a detailed analysis of five case studies, which have helped to refine the model proposed in the scoping study. Following this theoretical and empirical work, we propose a mapping of the deployment process of regarding the environmental development strategy taking into account the roles of stakeholders. We’ve also show that the process of deploying an environmental development strategy is reached through the integration of stakeholders, and the role played by each one of these in the process

Full textDuring the 1980s and much of the 1990s, in Tunisia, discussions of fiscal policy focused mainly on high fiscal deficits and government debt as a source of inflatin and balance of payments problems, and on the contribution of fiscal adjustment to stabilization programs designed to address much problems. Attention was also paid to the way in wich well-designed tax systems and spending programs could foster sustainable longer-term growth. However, with the recent developments in endogenous growth theory, emphasis has shifted to the role expansionary fiscal policy can play in stimulating economic activity. This thesis reviews the theoretical and empirical Literature on the effectiveness of fiscal policy. Also, in this thesis, an attempt was made to analyse the fiscal sustainability in Tunisia using the Intertemporel Budget Constraint approach. The results reveal that fiscal stance is unsustainable. Conclusions arising from this study point to a further strengthening of the fiscal position

Full textThis thesis is a contribution to reflections on the local development of marginalized areas. The objective is to identify through economic criteria , social and cultural indicators and associated types of effects induced by the development of heritage tourism in the territory of south-eastern Tunisia. The economic benefits created by Ksour (typical monuments of southern Tunisia and purpose of our research) depend on the ability of this heritage to attract visitors and his ability to encourage local investors to help finance backup this patrimony. In economic terms, the value of heritage is its attraction value and its power to induce a monetary contribution to its users in order to safeguard it. Our proposal is to involve all stakeholders in heritage preservation. This research has helped identify ways of thinking about new strategies for valorization and safeguard of local heritage. A monetary contribution of all professionals and pricing for access to the monuments of the region for tourists will involve all stakeholders in the development of this area. The estimated potential monetary contribution reflects, in some way, the value given to these heritage sites. Our proposal for the establishment of a fee for use of patrimony by the professionals, and practice of municipal pricing for access to ksour, until now free, have been fairly well received by respondents. The new revenue will be used for maintenance and enhancement of the patrimony of the region
