Zusammenfassung. Um psychische Störungen bei jungen Kindern zu erfassen, wurde das Klassifikationssystem DC: 0 – 5 entwickelt. Das Ziel dieser Studie war es, Diagnosen nach DC: 0 – 5 und ICD-10 zu vergleichen. Bei 176 konsekutiv vorgestellten Kindern (70,5 % Jungen) mit einem mittleren Alter von 3,96 Jahren wurden Diagnosen nach ICD-10 und DC: 0 – 5 vergeben. 78,4 % der Kinder hatten eine Diagnose nach ICD-10, 88,1 % der Kinder nach DC: 0 – 5. Syftet med studien är att belysa hur speciallärare anser att diagnosen dyslexi påverkar undervisningen för elever med läs- och skrivsvårigheter. Syftet var även att belysa deras syn på att medvetandegöra elever med läs- och skrivsvårigheter om sina svårigheter. Studien utgår från en kvalitativ metod, där fem speciallärare intervjuats som arbetar med läs- och skrivinlärning. De fick utifrån sina tankar, kunskaper och upplevda erfarenheter ge sin syn på studiens frågeställningar. Resultatet i studien visar att det finns en osäkerhet kring skillnaden mellan läs- och skrivsvårigheter och dyslexi.

Background: Meningitis is the inflammation of the meninges. The outcome varies between etiologies. It is endemic in Brazil with mandatory notification. Objectives: To analyze the number of diagnoses and outcomes of meningitis in Brazil in the 2019-2020 biennium. Design and setting: Cross-sectional epidemiological study using DATASUS database. Methods: Data from patients diagnosed with meningitis in the period from 2019 to 2020 were included, correlating them to the etiologies and their outcomes. Cystic lesions of neck containing thymic tissue are rare and usually difficult to diagnose. Postulated hypothesis for this entity is the persistence and/or degeneration of thymopharyngeal duct derived from pharyngeal pouch endoderm. We report a unique case of persistent thymopharyngeal duct which was diagnosed antenatally at 30 weeks’ gestation, and it preserved its connection with the pharynx. Postnatal radiological studies were non-specific and misleading, and diagnosis was confirmed by histological examination of the excised specimen.
