We propose a simple approach to the detection of automatically generated texts. A pre-trained language model, fine-tuned on the shared task’s dataset, achieved 3rd place on the binary task leaderboard with 82.6% accuracy. This paper explores abilities of knowledge distillation for the purposes of News clustering which also can be generalized as an event detection task. A method for estimating the statistical characteristics of speech melody is proposed. The procedure of constructing histograms of the frequency distribution of the pitch frequency over sufficiently long intervals of speech is described. A distinctive feature of the method is that the discrete values of the pitch of speech are measured only at intervals of vowels.
