Abstract This article adduces Akkadian idioms to explain three formulations in 2 Kgs 17:9-11 which differ from the standard Deuteronomistic phraseology employed in 2 Kgs 17:7-23. The awkward Hebrew phrase ויחפאו. . . דברים is interpreted as a loan from Akkadian hepû + dibbu = “to break an agreement”, the following expression דברים אשר לא כן compared with the Akkadian dibbu ša lā kinnu = “disloyal talk”, and the ending of v. 11 understood in the light of an Akkadian idiom. On this analysis, vv. 9-11 appear to be composed of two strata, the original core—composed during the Neo-Assyrian period—and a later Deuteronomistic redaction which reinterpreted the initial text. The former can be understood as a very early theological response to the destruction of Samaria and Assyrian imperial claims regarding its fall which utilizes Neo-Assyrian covenantal terminology to describe the relationship between the God of Israel and His people.

SUMMARYPelleted seed of the crisp lettuce variety Pennlake was sown on five occasions with units from either the experimental dibber drill designed by the National Institute of Agricultural Engineering or a Stanhay S870 drill. There were three dibber-drill treatments: seeds left in open holes or covered with peat–vermiculite or perlite. Seedling emergence and growth from each sowing of the four drill treatments were compared under different moisture regimes.There were large differences between drill treatments in emergence percentage, time to emergence of 50% of the seedlings which emerged (t50) and seedling weight at all sowings but there was a significant effect of drill treatment on the standard deviation of seedling emergence times at only one sowing. Of the dibber-drill treatments, only very occasionally did open holes or perlite cover give significantly better emergence than peat-vermiculite cover, which gave the most consistent results. In general, the dibber drill with peat-vermiculite cover gave significantly faster and higher emergence and heavier seedlings than the Stanhay drill. Differences in percentage seedling emergence tended to be greater under dry conditions.

AbstractClimate variability and declining soil fertility pose a major threat to sustainable agronomic and economic growth in Zambia. The objective of this study was to assess crop yield, land and labor productivity of conservation agriculture (CA) technologies in Eastern Zambia. On-farm trials were run from 2012–2015 and farmers were replicates of a randomized complete block design. The trials compared three CA systems against a conventional practice. Yield and net return ha−1 were determined for maize and legume yield (kg ha−1) produced by ridge and furrow tillage, CA dibble stick planting, CA animal traction ripping and direct seeding. The dibble stick, ripline and direct seeding CA systems had 6–18, 12–28 and 8–9% greater maize yield relative to the conventional tillage system, respectively. Rotation of maize with cowpea and soybean significantly increased maize yields in all CA systems. Intercropping maize with cowpea increased land productivity (e.g., the land equivalent ratio for four seasons was 2.01) compared with full rotations under CA. Maize/cowpea intercropping in dibble stick CA produced the greatest net returns (US$312-767 ha−1) compared with dibble stick maize-cowpea rotation (US$204-657), dibble stick maize monoculture (US$108-584) and the conventional practice (US$64-516). The net-return for the animal traction CA systems showed that maize-soybean rotations using the ripper were more profitable than the direct seeder or conventional ridge and furrow systems. Agronomic and economic benefits of CA-based cropping systems highlight the good potential for improved food security and agricultural productivity for smallholder farmers.

En el presente artículo se expone la experiencia de la modificación del paisaje lingüístico de San Juan Bautista Cuicatlán, Oaxaca, a través de dos intervenciones en el espacio público durante 2019 y 2020. Las modificaciones consistieron en la colocación de señaléticas bilingües, en cuicateco y español, tanto en las calles como en edificios públicos. Nuestro planteamiento apunta a que la modificación del paisaje lingüístico, en contextos similares al de Cuicatlán, puede ser una manera de resignificar los espacios simbólicos asociados a la lengua dominante y que puede conjuntarse con estrategias de revaloración y revitalización de las lenguas. AbstractThe study of linguistic landscapes is a way of identifying the relationships and tensions between different linguistic groups within the same locality. The modifications consisted on the placement of bilingual signage, in Cuicateco and Spanish, both on the streets and in public buildings. Our approach points out that the modification of the linguistic landscape, in similar contexts to Cuicatlán, can be a way of resignifying the symbolic spaces associated with the dominant language and that it can be combined with strategies of revaluation and revitalization of languages. Abstract:

During fieldwork in Siberia and Alaska the senior author has sporadically found an unusual Pertusaria species that was tentatively identified as P. christae Dibben & Poelt. This species has been described from a few localities in the Austrian Alps (Dibben & Poelt 1987) and was recently recorded from the Putorana Plateau in Russia (Zhurbenko 1996). Examination of various herbarium collections confirmed that the species is more widely distributed in the Holarctic, but probably overlooked. Further, its distinction from P. saximontana was unclear. According to the literature, P. saximontana is a corticolous or lignicolous species occurring in North America and containing 2-O-methylconfluentic acid (Dibben 1980; Lumbsch et al. 1999; Wetmore 1967). In contrast, P. christae is regarded as a muscicolous or terricolous Eurasian species containing 2′-O-methylperlatolic acid (Dibben & Poelt 1987). In micromorphological features the two species are very similar, and habitat and chemistry were the main characteristics used to separate the two taxa. In our studies, however, we found 2′-O-methylperlatolic acid in several lignicolous collections from North America, raising the question whether the two species are distinct. Hence, we have studied additional material, including the types of both species to clarify the status of the two described taxa.

The article provides data on 7 new ergasiophytes and ergasiophygophytes, alien to the Emirate of Fujairah: Asystasia gangetica T. Andersson (Acanthaceae) found growing wild in Dibba, A. gangetica subsp. micrantha (Nees) Y. F. Deng et N. H. Xia (Acanthaceae), as a weed in the nurseries of Dibba, Rul Dadna and Al Bidiya, Centella asiatica (L.) Urb. (Apiaceae), as a weed in Dibba town, Basella alba L. (Basellaceae) cultivated and becomes wild in Dibba town, Citrus ×limon (L.) Osbeck (Rutaceae) cultivated and often found growing wild in Dibba, the village of Sharm and other settlements of the Emirate, Murraya koenigii (L.) Spreng. cultivated and becomes wild in Dibba, Rul Dadna, Al Bidiya and other places, and M. paniculata (L.) Jack (Rutaceae) cultivated and becomes wild in plant nurseries in Dibba and Al Bidiya. Asystasia gangetica, A. micrantha, and Centella asiatica are new alien species for Fujairah Emirate and the UAE, and Basella nigra, Murraya koenigii and M. paniculata are new also for Arabia as a whole. A brief history of the study of the flora of the UAE and a preliminary summary of its species diversity are also given.

Abstract:

Para avaliar o risco de salinidade e de sodicidade do solo pelo manejo da irrigação, desenvolveu-se estudo comparativo entre os valores de CEes e RAS de área irrigada com os da mata nativa. A investigação ocorreu nos Distritos Irrigados Baixo Acaraú (DIBAU) e Araras Norte (DIPAN), localizados na Bacia do Acaraú. As amostras de solo foram coletadas bimestralmente, de maio/2003 a set./2005, nas camadas de 0-0,30 m; 0,30-0,60 m; 0,60-0,90 m e 0,90-1,20 m, sendo as análises efetuadas no Laboratório de Solo e Água da Embrapa Agroindústria Tropical. Para identificar se os incrementos dos parâmetros estudados eram estatisticamente significativos, aplicou-se o teste de Wilcoxon. Os incrementos de CEes foram maiores no DIPAN, com média de 250%, enquanto no DIBAU, a média atingiu 50%. Em 2004, as precipitações pluviométricas levaram a área irrigada do DIBAU à condição de mata nativa, não ocorrendo o mesmo no DIPAN. Para a RAS, os incrementos médios situaram-se em torno de 200% (DIBAU) e não houve incremento no DIPAN. Portanto, os solos do DIBAU apresentaram maior predisposição à sodicidade, e os do DIPAN, maior risco de salinização. Apesar dos incrementos, os valores da CEes e RAS apresentaram-se inferiores ao limite de classificação de solos salinos e sódicos, respectivamente. No DIBAU, a chuva teve maior influência no processo de lixiviação devido à predominância da textura arenosa dos solos.

A machine to punch dibble holes in multiple filled containers and simultaneously to meter fertilizer has been designed, built and tested. The machine handles up to 12 containers at a time in beds 6 containers wide. Transported and powered by a tractor, this machine straddles the containers in a nursery bed. Alignment of the mechanism over the containers and the dibble operation itself are accomplished hydraulically. Force and speed of the dibbles are adjustable. Uniformity of metering is good, with coefficients of variation in the range of 2 to 30%.

Abstract:

The Plainview/Folsom-aged bison Bonebed 2 at Bonfire Shelter, originally excavated in the 1960s, is argued to be the earliest North American bison jump (Dibble 1970; Dibble and Lorrain 1968). Yet, it is far older than all other known jumps, and well south of where the great majority of these sites are found. Dibble (1970) reasonably argued that its age and location was not compelling evidence against it being a bison jump. However, Binford (1978) observed that the skeletal composition of Bonebed 2 did not resemble a kill. To assess whether Bonfire Shelter could have been utilized as a jump and whether it was, we explore two lines of evidence bearing on the issue, a GIS analysis of the site and upland topography, and zooarchaeological analysis of the recovered bison remains. Although our GIS analysis indicates that Bonfire Shelter meets many of the criteria of a jump locality, our reanalysis of the faunal remains suggests this was not the primary kill locus, but instead a processing area to which high-utility portions of at least 24 bison were transported and butchered. Where the bison were killed, and how, is not known.

Based on the movement procedure of the Dibble-type Transplanter, the equation of planting movement for the planting apparatus was established. According to the classic theory characteristic parameter λ>1 planting is necessary for the normal working conditions, computer simulation depending on the equation of planting movement was proceeded. The purpose of the computing simulation is to emulate the movement of the Dibble-type Transplanter. Several kind of values for λ is considered, such as the condition λ<1, λ=1 and λ>1. Through the analysis of the computer results, the classical theory λ>1 is necessary for the normal working conditions is confirmed.

Kerusakan pada komputer memiliki berbagai macam kerusakan dari kerusakan ringan maupun berat yang menyebabkan banyak service center yang banyak dibuka. Akan tetapi seiring banyaknya service center yang dibuka, banyak pula service center yang melakukan penipuan pada pelanggan. Untuk mengatasi hal tersebut dibangunlah aplikasi yang digunakan dalam pencarian diagnosa kerusakan komputer yang menggunakan metode breadth first search dan vikor. Pengujian yang dilakukan adalah dengan melakukan uji coba aplikasi dengan menggunakan metode black box. Dari hasil pengujian yang dilakukan dapat diambil kesimpulan bahwa algoritma Breadth First Search dapat melakukan proses pencarian solusi melalui pemilihan gejala-gejala yang ada, kemudian metode Vikor dapat melakukan proses rating untuk merekomendasi solusi yang akan dilakukan oleh user dengan tingkat keberhasilan 99% sesuai dengan rekomendasi ahli

Abstract:

Mung beans (Vigna radiata) are a potential crop in rotation with rice on the south coast of east Timor. When Mung beans are planted after rice, the soil is cultivated after rice harvest, before mung beans are planted by hand with the use of a dibble stick. This paper looks at the cost and benefits of broadcasting mung beans into rice just prior to or just after rice harvest. Broadcast mung beans requires much less labour than planted by dibble stick. Broadcast mung beans require more seed, and can be more difficult to weed. Based on a gross margin analysis mung bean yield could be 35% lower and be as profitable as conventionally grown mung beans.

Latar Belakang: Infeksi nosokomial merupakan salah satu penyebab meningkatnya angka kesakitan (morbidity) dan angka kematian (mortality) di rumah sakit. Kontaminasi mikroba dari lingkungan rumah sakit, terutama di ruang operasi dan unit khusus lainnya terus berdampak meningkatnya prevalensi infeksi nosokomial. Bakteri ESKAPE patogen (enterococcus faecium, staphylococcus aureus, klebsiella pneumoniae, acinetobacter baumannii, pseudomonas aeruginosa, dan spesies enterobacter) adalah penyebab utama infeksi nosokomial di seluruh dunia. Kebanyakan dari kuman itu adalah isolat resistan multidrug, yang merupakan salah satu tantangan terbesar dalam praktek klinis. Kontaminasi bakteri yang berasal dari mesin anestesi telah menjadi masalah pengendalian infeksi sejak 1950-an. Terdapat sejumlah penelitian yang menyelidiki kontaminasi bakteri dari mesin anestesi yang fokus pada breathing circuit disposable.Tujuan: Mengetahui efek penggunaan breathing circuit disposable terhadap pertumbuhan kuman pada Y-Piece di mesin anestesi dengan pemeriksaan kultur mikrobiologi.Metode: Studi observasional yang dilakukan di kamar operasi sentral RSUD Dr. Saiful Anwar Malang pada bulan Maret 2017 hingga sampel terpenuhi. Dilakukan swab pada kedua kelompok studi (Y-Piece yang baru dibuka dari kemasan dan setelah 1 jam pemakaian) kemudian dilakukan pembiakan bakteri selama 24 jam pada suhu 37°C di Laboratorium Mikrobiologi Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Brawijaya.Hasil: Tidak ditemukan kontaminasi kuman pada Y-Piece breathing circuit disposable yang baru dibuka, sedangkan penggunaan Y-Piece breathing circuit disposable setelah 1 jam ditemukan pertumbuhan kuman.Kesimpulan: Terdapat perbedaan tingkat kontaminasi kuman yang signifikan secara statistik pada Y-Piece breathing circuit saat dibuka dari kemasan dan setelah digunakan 1 jam di mesin anestesi.

Abstract:

This paper aims to select the best value of the parameter ρ from a general set of linear multistep formulae which have the potential for efficient implementation. The ρ -Diagonally Implicit Block Backward Differentiation Formula ( ρ -DIBBDF) was proposed to approximate the solution for stiff Ordinary Differential Equations (ODEs) to achieve the research objective. The selection of ρ for optimal stability properties in terms of zero stability, absolute stability, error constant and convergence are discussed. In the diagonally implicit formula that uses a lower triangular matrix with identical diagonal entries, allowing a maximum of one lower-upper (LU) decomposition per integration stage to be performed will result in substantial computing benefits to the user. The numerical results and plots of accuracy indicate that the ρ -DIBBDF method performs better than the existing fully and diagonally Block Backward Differentiation Formula (BBDF) methods.

Pada musim dingin 2004, terdapat 202 toko IKEA di 32 negara di berbagai belahan dunia dengan sekitar 20 lagi yang akan dibuka pada 2005.Perusahaan ini didirikan Ingvar Kamprad pada 1943 saat ia berusia 17 tahun yang sekarang sudah menjadi salah satu orang terkaya di dunia. IKEA adalah singkatan dari namanya, Ingvar Kamprad; tempat ia dilahirkan, Elmtaryd; dan desanya, Agunnaryd.ola. Awalnya, IKEA menjual berbagai barang, dari pulpen, dompet, bingkai foto, hingga jam tangan. Perabotan mulai masuk ke dalam daftar pada 1947 dan IKEA mulai merancang sendiri pada 1955. Di samping itu juga IKEA berkomitmen untuk menjalin hubungan baik dengan pemasok, pelanggan serta pihak lain dan yang terpenting bagi IKEA agar konsumen dapat membeli produk dengan kualitas yang baik, desain ekonomis. Kemudian penerapan strategy fokus. To minimize fertilizer and water use, and NO3-N runoff from container culture, growth, and nutrient status of forsythia (Forsythia ×intermedia Zab. ‘Spring Glory’) in No. 2 containers were compared in response to a controlled-release fertilizer (CRF; Nutricote 18-6-8 100-day at rates of 2, 4, and 6 kg·m−3) and placements (incorporation and topdress) under three irrigation strategies [drip-irrigated low (25% or less) leaching fraction (DrLoLF), hand-sprinkled low leaching fraction (HsLoLF), and hand-sprinkled high (50% or less) leaching fraction (HsHiLF)]. In a coexperiment under drip irrigation only, forsythia response was also examined under incorporation, topdress, and dibble fertilizer placements with the same CRF rates applied as single or split dose. Dibble fertilizer placement was superior to both incorporation and topdress in this order. Maximum growth of forsythia occurred at rates of 4.7 kg·m−3 with dibble. With incorporation and topdress, maximum growth was not achieved even at the 6 kg·m−3 maximum rate tested. Forsythia grew better with incorporated than with topdressed CRF with the DrLoLF treatment. The response was reverse with HsHiLF or showed no differences with HsLoLF. Under drip irrigation, greater concentrations of NO3-N generally leached from incorporation and dibbled containers in this order than from topdress. Less nitrate was leached from the topdressed containers because less was released from the CRF prills. At the 6 kg·m−3 CRF rate, total cumulative NO3-N leachings were 76, 85, and 22 kg·ha−1 (45 × 45-cm container spacing) for dibbling, incorporation, and topdress, respectively, under drip irrigation. Split application of CRF greatly reduced NO3-N in leachate, although plant growth also was reduced as a result of less availability of and uptake of nutrients under this strategy.
