Abstract:
Models and learning strategies that override the structure of learning content so that the material delivered by the teacher, does not last long in students' memories. The purpose of this paper is to find out the steps in organizing, establishing, and developing strategies for organizing the contents of religious education learning through the design of professional Islamic religious education learning. Meanwhile, the theory used in this problem is to use the theory of learning design models that refer to the systems approach, which is developed by Kemp, Dick and Carey, and the Dageng model, all of which include analysis of learning conditions, development of learning strategies, and development of measurement procedures learning. This paper is a research type of library reaserch, which is descriptive analytical. The method of thinking in this paper uses the inductive method in which the discussion is to analyze data from facts that are specific to general facts about the design of the development of PAI learning. The results of this paper study show that: (1) The design of the development of PAI learning by using the Kemp model rests on four basic elements of learning planning, namely students, objectives, methods, and evaluation. The design model of Dick and Carey's development refers to the system approach and Degeng's development design model is based on variables that influence learning in the form of objectives and characteristics of the field of study, learning resources and constraints, learner characteristics, learning objectives and learning content, strategies for organizing learning contents, delivery strategies learning content, learning management strategies, developing learning outcomes measurement procedures. (2) The steps in the design of the development of PAI learning in schools and madrassas include: analysis of competency standards, learning materials, characteristics of students, selecting and defining approaches and evaluating learning outcomes.

Abstract:
The indicator of a professional teachers is the extent to which the teachers has the ability to design instructional well. A good instructional design will effectively achieve the instructional objectives that have been set. The problem that arises is that there is a signal that the teachers implement the learning without first doing systematic instructional design. This paper aims to provide guidance on how instructional components are designed. The instructional components include instructional objectives, materials, model / strategy / method, instructional media and instructional evaluation. The model of instructional component design is using system approach such as Dick model, Carey and Carey. The use of Dick, Carey and Carey model will produce frame of instructional objectives, materials, model / strategy / method, media, and instructional evaluation as needed. Among five components of learning above, the model components and media need to get serious attention because they follow the technology trend. Thus, it needs the signs for choosing and designing the model and the media. The lecturers' view of the process of how the learning act takes place will have implications for the choice of model and the media / delivery technology of the material to be applied. There are two extremes of extreme views about the epistemology of knowledge and the way in which a student's knowledge is acquired, although both are connected through the polar opposite continuum. The two views are: a) an objectivistic view (direct instruction) that is influenced by behavioristic learning theory and cognitive theory, especially information processing theory; b) constructivist views.

A Study of Applying Dick & Carey’s Instructional Systems Design Model to Construct a Web-Based Course Author: Hsieh, Fang-wen Abstract This study took the position of developmental research. First, its purpose was to apply Dick & Carey’s Instructional Systems Design Model to construct a web-based course of distance education. Secondly, in the process of authentic teaching environment, all anticipators’ responses to the survey were analyzed in the study. The subjects were 82 learners from 4 different national universities in Taiwan. The course’s content focused on system approach to study both theory and practice of distance education. The course included 12 units and each unit consisted of 6 items, which was entitled teaching objectives, chapter outlines, teaching content, summaries, teaching resources and question discussion. Two instruments in the study were CCU’s Integrated Asynchronous Learning Environment System and the researcher’s Distance Education Learning Opinion Questionnaire. This survey collected learner’s opinions including their satisfaction with all instructional design items, the degree of help for them, the difficult they had been met and defects should be improved in the course. Then, all data were analyzed through the method of descriptive statistics. There were two results of the study. One was the design product of Distance Education web-based course and the other was the result of the survey. In conclusion, after applying the web course to real teaching situation, the results from the survey were as the followings: As a whole, learners highly reputed at 34 designs and system functions whether on their satisfaction or the degree of help for them. Among all levels, the level of on-line teaching material design got highest degree of satisfaction and the second one was the level of instructional strategy design. The level of instructional strategy design helped learners to the most degree and the second one was the level of on-line teaching material design. Besides, most learners thought of lacking of time as their main difficult to take the course;least learners thought of lacking of computer operation skill as their difficult. Most learners thought of the requirements of discussion and homework as the item that should be improved;least learners thought of teacher’s teaching method as the item that should be improved.

Abstract:
This chapter describes a study conducted in higher education in the Egyptian context. A blended e-learning cooperative approach (BeLCA) was utilised with pre-service teachers (PSTs) in a science teaching methodology course. The chapter introduces a literature review on blended e-learning, cooperativeness, in addition to an approach that combines the two aspects together. The proposed approach (BeLCA) is based on social interaction between participants within the blended e-learning environment, where social constructivism theories play a crucial role. The chapter illustrates the effectiveness of utilising this new approach on participants’ achievement, attitudes towards e-learning, and cooperativeness by adopting a quasi-experimental setting. The chapter also highlights on the instructional design utilised in the course development. The course design was based on Dick, Carey, and Carey’s (2001) model: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Execution (ADDIE).

Abstract:
This chapter presents the development and implementation of an instructional design (ID) for computer networks learning within a three-dimensional (3D) virtual world (VW) that considers characteristics of cognitive style and level of expertise of the student, titled TCN5. For this purpose, a hybrid model of ID was created based on ADDIE and Dick and Carey models. To facilitate the inclusion and management of didactic materials, an educational resources manager called GRECx was developed, which was allocated to the VW through web pages inserted in 3D media objects. The approach was submitted to the evaluation of a sample of students, who pointed out that it allows greater use of didactic materials within the immersive environment, and that GRECx can actually help teachers in the inclusion of resources, avoiding the need to deal with VW settings.

Abstract:
The Euler-Bernoulli uniform beam considered in this paper carry (n+1) thin disks, two of which are at the beam ends. For the analytical method used in the paper, n co-ordinate systems were chosen with origins at the disk locations. The mode shape of the portion of the beam between the jth and (j+1)th disk was expressed in the form Yj(Xj) = A Uj(Xj) + B Vj(Xj) in which Uj(Xj) and Vj(Xj) are ‘modified’ mode shape functions applicable to that portion but the constants A and B are common to all the portions. From the compatibility of moments and forces on the (n+1)th disk, the frequency equation was expressed in closed form as a 2nd order determinant equated to zero. Schemes are presented to compute the 4 elements of the determinant (from a recurrence relationship) and to evaluate the roots of the frequency equation. Computational difficulties were not encountered in the implementation of the schemes to beams carrying very large number of disks. The first three natural frequency parameters of 28 combinations of the boundary conditions (which includes classical clamped, pinned, sliding and free) are tabulated for beams carrying 6, 51, 201 or 1001 thin disks. The approaches in previous publications include those based on various approximate methods like finite element, Rayleighritz, Galerkin, transfer matrix etc. The results in the present paper may be used to judge the accuracy of values obtained by approximate methods. The theory developed in the paper will need modification if axial dimension of the disks are taken into account.

Abstract:
During load operations the gas turbine is characterized by cyclic transients and long dwell times, resulting clearance variation occurs. Tight clearances in both the compressor and the turbine section is one key to high component efficiencies. However, under any operating condition, some clearance must be maintained in order to avoid contact between rotating and stationary parts. The optimization of the clearances during the running is one of the most relevant key to improve the engine performance, a Hydraulic Clearance Optimization (HCO) system is installed on the Ansaldo Energia gas-turbine models fleet in order to control turbine blade-tip clearances by appropriate shifting of the rotor against the flow direction and consequently reducing the radial gaps above the turbine blade tips. In particular the proposed procedure takes into account the HCO effect on the blade clearances and their optimizing during the operation conditions. The proposed procedure is based on a combination of 2D/3D FEM model of complete rotor-casing assembly and field operation data. The computational approach is based on a 2D axi-symmetric finite element model of the engine rotor, including the stacked rotor discs and the connecting tie-rod. Particular care has been put in the definition of the boundary conditions which are: the centrifugal loads, the tierod pre-tightening, the thermal transient conditions. To take into account 3D effect of airfoil twisting and bending, the 3D models of the assembly blade-disk are built. The 3D FE displacements of the tip blades are combined with the 2D FE displacements of the complete rotor in the evaluation process. 3D casing FEM model are built to calculate the casing distortion due to temperature difference between cylindrical shell and horizontal flange. The procedure evaluates the axial and radial clearance combining the rotor/stator displacements. The clearance and temperature values are measured and filed thanks to tip timing capacitive sensors and thermocouples sensors installed on same stages. The proposed procedure gives results in good agreement with the measured clearances in all the transient operation conditions.

Abstract:
A thermo-mechanical analysis is carried out on a stacked die package having through silicon via technology to study the overall reliability of the package due to varying aspect ratio (size and shape) of through silicon vias, silicon die thickness, underfill thickness and underfill material properties. Through silicon via technology is one of the most rapidly developing technologies in the semiconductor industry and assures the development for the continued role of Moore’s law and multichip integration as well as packaging approaches. Wire bond and flip-chip have been in use for long time now while TSV is the latest technology of 3D integration system which is used for primary interconnection. The benefits of the use of TSV technology are increased performance, reduced form factor and cost reduction of the package. A three dimensional finite element model of a stacked package that consists of stacked dice using through silicon vias, solder interconnect, underfill, substrate and PWB is solved numerically to assess the reliability of the overall stacked package. In this analysis, stress free temperature for stacked package is kept at 125°C while room temperature is 25°C to carry out the simulation of the stresses post cure cool down of the stacked package. Stresses are calculated at the die as well as interfaces between underfill and die and underfill and substrate to assess the reliability of the overall package. A parametric study of critical geometric parameters such as aspect ratio, thickness of silicon die and underfill thickness and process parameters is carried out to minimize the maximum stresses on the overall stacked package. Recommendations are provided with respect to controlling the critical parameters such as aspect ratio, silicon thickness, underfill thickness and varying the underfill material properties (E and α) to improve the overall reliability and strength of the package.
