Abstract:
The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on human interactions deeply affected the sense of humour of individuals. Using a social media research approach, this article analyses social media data in order to understand how social media users related with COVID-19. We sought to address the various events that generated humour among Ghanaians during the pandemic. The study reveals that the various instances of humour revolved around nose and/or face masks, terminologies and various social media posts. People neutralised their tensions and raised their humour with posts that flooded social media. This

Robert W. Fogel was a visionary economic historian, generous mentor, and eternal optimist whose works and lectures have informed and incited for more than half a century and whose writings will continue to do so for decades to come. He died on June 11, 2013 in his eighty-sixth year. He had co-taught a graduate course at the University of Chicago that quarter and in the weeks before he died he was planning his fall 2013 teaching. “I've often told my students I'm not retiring. You're going to have to carry me out in a wooden box. I'm having too much fun,” he remarked to a recent class.

Abstract In 1981, hemlock and white pine growing in four mixed-wood stands defoliated by gypsy moth were examined for amount of defoliation, crown class, and stem diameter. During May and October 1982-84 the trees were examined for refoliation, mortality, and crown dieback. Hemlock mortality rose quickly to 37% by October 1982 and slowly thereafter to 43% in October 1984. Mortality among dominant hemlock was half that of other crown classes. No dominant or codominant white pine died. Mortality of intermediate white pine leveled at 6% by October 1983; 16% of suppressed trees died by May 1983, a

Background: Cardiovascular diseases are the major cause of morbidity and mortality worldwide. In the Indian subcontinent, they account for more than 25% of deaths. Numerous studies have been conducted on the cardiovascular system in cases of sudden death; but there has been a major neglect to study the heart in cases of people who died of unrelated causes. In the present study, we have attempted to study the CVS in detail in those individuals who died of unrelated causes and have tried to assess the prevelance of atherosclerosis, conduction system lesions, inflammatory and valvular pathologies

e19182 Background: Mortality within 30 days of chemotherapy is recognised as an important quality assurance measure. There is limited data regarding mortality within 30 days of immunotherapy and whether the same standards should apply. In contrast to chemotherapy, immunotherapy has a favourable toxicity profile and a higher chance of durable responses. We assess 3 years of data from two regional cancer centres in Queensland, Australia. Methods: Retrospective review of patients treated with checkpoint inhibitor immunotherapy at Cairns Hospital and Gold Cold University Hospital between June 2016

Abstract Between June 1987 and June 1989, 29 recurrent malignant gliomas or recurrent solitary brain metastases in 28 patients were treated in a Phase I study of interstitial irradiation and hyperthermia. Patient age ranged from 18 to 65 years, and the Karnofsky Performance Status scores ranged from 40 to 90%. There were 13 glioblastomas, 10 anaplastic astrocytomas. 3 melanomas, and 3 adenocarcinomas. Catheters were implanted stereotactically after computed tomography-based preplanning. Hyperthermia was administered before and after brachytherapy, using one to six 2450- or 915-MHz helical coil
