Epidemiologic cohort studies often require a follow-up of and obtaining exposure and confounder information for several thousand subjects. This process can be time consuming and expensive. A sampling scheme which reduces costs is the case-cohort design. It involves obtaining exposure and confounder information for all cases and a random sample of the remainder of the cohort. In this thesis we consider the analysis of data from a case-cohort sample under the assumptions of a proportional hazards model.
