Abstract:
Objective: This paper illustrates the importance of conducting an initial and ongoing psychiatric assessment of patients with chronic fatigue syndrome in order to diagnose dieting disorders. The diagnostic issues and management problems of three case vignettes, two with anorexia nervosa and one with bulimia nervosa, are described. Method: The treatment response of dieting disordered patients is generally prolonged after a previous diagnosis of chronic fatigue syndrome has been made and the patient and family favour a disease diagnosis. Results: Several management problems arise and family members may also be reluctant to accept a dieting disorder diagnosis. Conclusions: Early detection of dieting disorders by adequate screening and assessment is necessary so that a significant reduction in morbidity may occur.

Josh Weisberg discusses what he calls the “Heidelberg Problem” (named after Dieter Henrich’s Heidelberg School). However, he mischaracterizes this problem and believes he is able so resolve the problem, as mischaracterized, as well as meet the de se constraint, in the theoretical frame of reference of the Higher-Order Thought Monitoring theory of consciousness. This commentary highlights the fundamental flaw in his approach, while encouraging further philosophical exchange with our American philosophical colleagues about the “Heidelberg Problem”.

AbstractObjectives: To examine eating concerns in a cohort of Irish adolescents.Methods: Students from a stratified random sample of post primary schools were screened using the EAT-26, the EDI-III and a study specific questionnaire.Results: A total of 3,031 students (mean age 14.74, range 12–19) enrolled in the study. The majority of respondents felt popular (91%), happy (75.2%) and perceived themselves to have a good quality of life (86.8%). Despite this, 32% of females dieted, 29.4% were dissatisfied with their bodies, and 10.8% scored above 20 on the EAT-26. Adolescents always on a diet reported a lower quality of life (QoL) X2(16, N=2,961) =144.43, p <.000, perceived themselves to be less popular X2(15, N=2,963) =53.26, p <.000 and less academically able X2(16, N=2,297) =43.96, p<.000, than those who never dieted. Comparing EPICA values to published norms, Irish males had significantly lower EAT scores, females had comparable total EAT-26 scores but significantly lower levels of dieting and higher levels of bulimic features and oral control. Girls in mixed schools had higher rates of body dissatisfaction F (1,2855) = 16.61, p <.001 and drive for thinness F (1,2860) = 11.78, p <.005 than girls attending same sex schools.Conclusions: Weight and body image concerns were high among Irish adolescents, especially females, with higher than expected levels of bulimia and oral control scores on the EAT but lower scores on the dieting subscale. Females attending mixed sex schools appear most at risk of eating pathology.

La caries dental es un proceso que implica un desequilibrio de las interacciones moleculares normales entre la superficie/subsuperficie del diente y el biofilm microbiano adyacente. Este desequilibrio se manifiesta en un cierto plazo como desmineralización acumulativa del diente que, si es desenfrenado, tiene el potencial de producir cavitación del esmalte y daño colateral a la dentina y a la pulpa, culminando con la destrucción localizada de los tejidos duros del diente. Se considera que la severidad y el costo social de la caries dental en niños de edad preescolar y escolar, son considerables. Diversos autores han indicado que es un problema de salud pública debido a su alta prevalencia e incidencia, además tiene la característica de que se encuentra concentrada en poblaciones con desventajas sociales en México y en el Mundo.

Abstract:
O presente trabalho visa apresentar uma ferramenta para avaliação de modelos matemáticos relacionados à otimização do planejamento de dietas. Inicialmente, o problema original da dieta é caracterizado, bem como sua importância para o desenvolvimento da Pesquisa Operacional, seus desdobramentos e aplicações posteriores. Em seguida, são apresentados os diversos enfoques e técnicas adotadas para a elaboração de dietas para seres humanos. Alguns desses modelos são então implementados, efetuando-se uma análise comparativa dos resultados obtidos. Para isso, é utilizado um software que permite a definição de parâmetros relacionados às demandas humanas, restrições adicionais relacionadas às quantidades de alimentos e escolha de alguns dos modelos apresentados. Finalmente, o estudo é concluído constatando-se a utilidade e a aplicação da ferramenta não somente para o planejamento de dietas, mas também para a área de ensino de Pesquisa Operacional.

Abstract:
Aujourd'hui, l'alimentation représente plus de 70% du coût de production en engraissement porcin et dans le contexte économique actuel, il est important de parvenir à réduire ce coût. L'alimentation utilisée actuellement utilise des phases et est représentée par un modèle linéaire. L'alimentation par mélanges introduite récemment est représentée par un modèle bilinéaire. Nous introduisons ici une nouvelle formulation qui est une combinaison des alimentations traditionnelle par mélanges: la méthode hybride. Nous montrons qu'elle permet de réduire le coût de plus de 5%. L'étude principale porte sur l'optimisation globale du problème bilinéaire, non convexe, modélisant l'alimentation par mélanges. La bilinéarité apparaît dans la fonction objectif et dans les contraintes. Ce problème peut posséder plusieurs minima, mais nous souhaitons obtenir un minimum global. Il est équivalent à un problème de pooling et nous montrons qu'il est fortement NP-difficile. Après de premiers résultats, nous énonçons la conjecture que tout minimum local est global pour ce problème bilinéaire appliqué à l'industrie porcine. Nous la prouvons sur un exemple de dimension réduite. Notre problème ne pouvant pas être résolu avec des solveurs globaux à cause de sa dimension, nous utilisons des approches telle que la pénalisation, la discrétisation, et techniques de relaxation lagrangienne ou convexe. Toutes ces approches supportent notre conjecture. Nous faisons également une étude de la robustesse des modèles à la variation des prix des ingrédients ainsi qu'une étude multicritère nous permettant d'obtenir des résultats numériques réduisant considérablement les rejets, autres enjeux importants
Today, feed represents more than 70% of the production cost in growing-finishing pig industry and in the current economic context, it is important to reduce it. The feeding system currently used uses phases and is expressed as a linear model. The feeding system using feeds introduced more recently is represented by a bilinear model. We introduced here new feeding system which is a combination offeeding systems using phases and feeds: the hybrid method. We show that it can reduce the feed cost by more than 5%. The main part of this manuscript is about global optimization of the bilinear problem, and non convex, problem modeling feeding system using feeds. The objective function and some constraints are bilinear. This problem can have several local minima but we would like to have a global one. It is equivalent to a pooling problem and we prove that it is a strongly NP-hard problem. After a study of first results, we enounce the conjecture that any local minimum is a global minimum for that problem applied in the pig industry. We prove it for a small size example. Our problem cannot be solved by using global solver due to its size, then we applied some relaxation methods such as penalization of bilinear terms, their discretization and Langrangian and convex relaxations. All these approaches support our conjecture. Then we study the robustness of the models on the ingredient price variations and a multicriteria study reducing phosphorus and nitrogen excretion

Reinhard Blänkner widmet sich in diesem Beitrag der Frage nach dem Konzept von »Geschichte« in Heinz Dieter Kittsteiners Forschungsprogramm einer von »geschichtsphilosophischen Fragestellungen angeleiteten Kulturgeschichte«. Im Mittelpunkt stehen dabei Kittsteiners Theoreme von der »Unverfügbarkeit der Geschichte« und die Möglichkeit, sich in der Geschichte mithilfe von »Geschichtszeichen« zu orientieren. Herausgearbeitet wird die nicht hinreichend reflektierte Unterscheidung zwischen Geschichte als Geschehen und als historisch spezifische Wissensform des Geschehens. Der Blick auf die Historizität der Geschichte als symbolische Form der Welterschliessung zeigt, dass beide Theoreme für den historischen Denkraum des Historismus Plausibilität besitzen, nicht aber für die Fortuna-Diskurse und die eschatologischen Kosmologien der frühen Neuzeit sowie für das Verständnis der komplexen Geschehenszusammenhänge der »Globalisierungsmoderne«, in der die Vorstellung von der »Einheit der Geschichte« durch Kontinuitätsbrüche im 20. Jahrhundert und postkoloniale Fragestellungen herausgefordert wird. »Unverfügbarkeit« und »Orientierung« sind als grundsätzliche Probleme damit nicht erledigt. Sie bleiben Leitfragen auch für eine nach-historistische Historie.

The results of studying the characteristics of the use of substrates in energy metabolism at different levels of metabolizable protein (8.0 g and 8.3 g per 1 MJ of metabolizable energy) in the diets of 9-month-old Charolais meat bulls with an initial live weight of 260 kg are presented. Based on the data obtained on the energy balance and gas-energy metabolism by the mask method, the ratio of the contribution of the metabolizable energy of the diet to body weight gain and heat production of bulls during the period of intensive growth was determined.

A Tomografia por Emissão de Pósitrons para exames cardíacos vem sendo cada vez mais utilizada como parte do repertório de imagem. Um problema de rotina na preparação de PET-CT é a necessidade de redução da captação de glicose pelo miocárdio. Modificar a dieta três dias antes da 18F- FDG -CT é obrigatório para a adequada supressão e, consequentemente, um aumento da precisão. Sob os auspícios de uma equipe multidisciplinar, estamos desenvolvendo com o framework Ionic4 para multiplataforma, uma aplicação móvel capaz de registrar e informar ao usuário a dieta que o paciente deve realizar por três dias antes do exame. Depois de instalar em smartphones, o aplicativo deve ser testado quanto a falhas e segurança.

Abstract:
The degree of accumulation of iodine in rabbit meat on the background of the use of liposomal form of antioxidants with an increased content of iodine was the key aim of our research. Meat of rabbits of experimental groups contains 4.2 % more nitrogen than the meat of control one; this indicates an increased protein metabolism. The content of iodine also increases by 234.1–551.0 % on the background of enrichment of the diet with a liposomal form of antioxidants with an increased iodine content.

Aus Sicht der Theorie des Fiskalföderalismus folgt die Ausgestaltung der Finanzausgleichsbeziehungen –verstanden als die Gesamtheit der Regelungen, welche die Zuordnung von Aufgaben, Ausgaben und Einnahmen zwischen den Ebenen (Bund, Länder und Kommunen) eines föderativen Staates betreffen –traditionell sowohl Allokations- als auch Verteilungsüberlegungen. Unter dem Allokationsziel steht dabei die Effizienz des staatlichen Leistungsangebots mittels Dezentralisierung der öffentlichen Aufgabenerfüllung im Vordergrund. Dem liegt die Annahme zugrunde, dass die teilweise Aufgabenwahrnehmung durch dezentrale Staatseinheiten (Länder und Kommunen) in der Summe ebenso wie im Zusammenspiel (dezentraler Wettbewerb) zu einer Wohlfahrtssteigerung innerhalb einer Volkswirtschaft führt. Die partielle Dezentralisierung staatlicher Hoheitsgewalt beeinflusst dabei die gesamtwirtschaftliche Entwicklung insofern, als sie zu einer verbesserten Ressourcenallokation und damit zu einer Begrenzung der Staatsquote beiträgt. Unter dem Verteilungsziel dient das Finanzausgleichssystem demgegenüber der Realisierung räumlicher Ausgleichsziele. Neben der vertikalen Finanzmittelverteilung zwischen den Staatsebenen (Bund, Länder, Kommunen) steht hierbei vor allem der horizontale Finanzausgleich zwischen einzelnen Ländern und Kommunen im Mittelpunkt der Ausgestaltung der föderalen Finanzbeziehungen. Aus gesamtwirtschaftlicher Sicht dient der Fiskalföderalismus hierbei der Realisierung einer gleichmäßigeren Wohlstandsverteilung zwischen den Regionen einer Volkswirtschaft. Zusätzlich zum Allokations-und Verteilungsziel sehen Föderalismus und Finanzausgleich sich aktuell zudem mit neuen Herausforderungen konfrontiert. Dies betrifft beispielsweise die Probleme der zukünftigen demographischen Entwicklung mit ihren Auswirkungen auf die Bereitstellung und Finanzierung öffentlicher (Infrastruktur-)Leistungen insbesondere im ländlichen Raum. Dies betrifft vor allem jedoch die Veränderung ökonomischer Wachstumsprozesse aufgrund einer zunehmenden wirtschaftlichen Integration auf europäischer wie auf globaler Ebene, was eine Umorientierung in Richtung der Schaffung eines föderalen Handlungsrahmens zur Unterstützung einer dynamischen Wirtschaftsentwicklung im Raum erforderlich macht. Dem liegt die Annahme zugrunde, dass die Sicherung gesamtwirtschaftlichen Wachstums vor allem im Wecken und Unterstützen regionaler wie lokaler Entwicklungspotenziale besteht, dem auch die Gestaltung der föderalen Finanzbeziehungen Rechnung zu tragen hat. Mit Blick auf das bestehende Finanzausgleichssystem in Österreich ist dabei festzustellen, dass es in allen drei genannten Zieldimensionen (Allokation, Verteilung, Wachstum) über mehr oder weniger große Defizite verfügt. So gilt die föderale Aufgaben-, Ausgaben-und Einnahmenverteilung aufgrund ihrer ausgeprägten Zentralisierung und Aufgabenverflechtung nicht nur als vergleichsweise ineffizient. Zudem steht zu befürchten, dass die vorrangig am Ziel der „Herstellung gleichwertiger Lebensverhältnisse“ ausgerichtete Gestaltung der Finanzausgleichsbeziehungen dazu geführt hat, dass lokale und regionale Wachstumspotentiale, die für die gesamtwirtschaftliche Entwicklung Österreichs bedeutsam sind, nicht in hinreichendem Maße ausgeschöpft werden.

Abstract:
Diese Arbeit beschäftigt sich mit der Anpassung des rechtlichen Rahmens an ein zelluläres Energiesystem. Folgende Fragestellung ist zu beantworten: Welche Barrieren stehen einem zellulären Energiesystem entgegen und wie können energierechtliche Regelwerke eine Anreizsituation schaffen, in der die dezentrale Energiebelieferung im zellulären Energieversorgungssystemen dominiert? Die gewählte Fragestellung ist in zwei Teile untergliedert. Zuerst ist nach den Barrieren gefragt die einer zellulären Versorgung im Wege stehen. Die Beantwortung des zweiten Teilbereichs der Fragestellung erfordert die Formulierung von Änderungsmaßnahmen, die ein zelluläres System mit überwiegend dezentraler Belieferung ermöglichen. Die gewählte Methodik der interdisziplinären Institutionenanalyse nach Bizer/Gubaydullina beinhält zwei Arbeitsschritte, deren Ergebnisse diese zwei Teilfragen beantworten. Nachdem der Abschnitt 2.1 “Normative Anforderungen“ das Vorliegen eines Zielerreichungs-defizits feststellt, umreißt Abschnitt 2.2 ein zelluläres Versorgungschema mit der die Problemsituation aufzulösen ist. Im Anschluss daran erfolgte eine Analyse der wichtigsten Rollen im zukünftigen Energiesystem, um für diese Akteure die zukünftig erwünschten und gegenwärtig zu beobachtenden Verhaltensweisen darzulegen. So sind für Anlagenbetreiber zentrale Verhaltensbereiche die Veräußerung des Stroms und der Zubau neuer Anlagen. Für Stromkonsumenten ist entsprechend die Energiebeschaffung und das Verbrauchsverhalten relevant. Die Ausrüstung mit den notwendigen IKT-Systemen betrifft grundsätzlich alle Akteure, ist für die Anlagenbetreiber und Stromkonsumenten jedoch von besonderer Bedeutung. Ausbau, Überwachung und Optimierung der Netze verbleibt im Aufgabenbereich der Netzbetreiber, wohingegen für Fahrweise und Preisbildung eine neue Aggregator-Rolle zuständig ist. Die Grund- und Restbelieferung erfolgt weiterhin durch zentrale Lieferanten. Welche Barrieren einem zellulären Energiesystem entgegenstehen, konnte Kapitel 6 “Abweichungen zwischen Soll- und Ist- Zustand“ verdeutlichen. Jeder Verhaltensbereich der Akteure brachte mehrere Barrieren hervor die abzubauen sind (siehe Anhang IV). Um eine Anreizsituation zu schaffen, in dem diese Barrieren nicht mehr bestehen, legt Kapitel 7 mehrere Gestaltungsoptionen dar. Welche Barrieren die Gestaltungsoptionen konkret abbauen, führt der jeweilige Abschnitt der Gestaltungsoption aus. Die Gestaltungsoption “Zellulärer Markt und Peer-to-Peer-Lieferungen“ zeigt, dass bereits mit der Konzeption eines zellulären Marktes Barrieren zu beheben sind. Voraussetzung dafür ist die Umgestaltung der Bemessungsgrundlage von Abgaben und Umlagen, damit unbürokratisch Energieaustausch in der Zelle stattfinden kann. Zur Regulierung von Zellautonomie, Netzbelastung und Preisniveau dient die Transferabgabe als Steuerungsinstrument. Angelehnt an das Prinzip des Nodal-Pricing sind so die notwendigen lokalen Anreize sicher-gestellt. Eine zentrale Belieferung ist in der Funktionsweise der Zellen berücksichtigt und deshalb auch weiterhin möglich, jedoch zu ungünstigeren Konditionen. Auf diese Weise gewinnt die dezentrale Belieferung an Attraktivität. Um Probleme bei der zellulären Versorgung zu erkennen und nachzuvollziehen, dient eine Transparenzplattform als Datenbasis. Sie ermöglicht außerdem für Investitionen im zellulären System die optimale Zelle zu finden. Die Anforderungen an die IKT-Systeme sind durch technische Vorgaben zu vereinheitlichen und deren Verwendung in Zellen ist Pflicht.
