An economic analysis has been performed to compare four nuclear fuel cycle options: a once-through cycle (OT), DUPIC recycling, thermal recycling using MOX fuel in a pressurized water reactor (PWR-MOX), and sodium fast reactor recycling employing pyroprocessing (Pyro-SFR). This comparison was made to suggest an economic competitive fuel cycle for the Republic of Korea. The fuel cycle cost (FCC) has been calculated based on the equilibrium material flows integrated with the unit cost of the fuel cycle components. The levelized fuel cycle costs (LFCC) have been derived in terms of mills/kWh for

Results showed that the particle size of flour produced by Buhler mill (FPB) was finer (mostly less than 132 μm) than other produced flour, while flour produced by Quadrumat mill (FPQ) had 8% particle size bigger than 50gg, which is more than Iraqi accepted limit (5%). Abstract:
We introduce a novel approach to the problem of gauge choice for the Yang–Mills equations on the Minkowski space ℝ1+3, which uses the Yang–Mills heat flow in a crucial way. As this approach does not possess the drawbacks of the previous approaches, it is expected to be more robust and easily adaptable to other settings. As a first application, we give an alternative proof of the local well-posedness of the Yang–Mills equations for initial data [Formula: see text], which is a classical result of Klainerman and Machedon (1995) that had been proved using a different method (local Coulomb gauges).

The structure of the stochastically quantized Yang-Mills theory with the Zwanziger gauge fixing term in the equilibrium limit is explored. The theory turns out to be extremely sophisticated and includes an infinite number of nonlocal vertices. It is the quantum Yang-Mills theory in the gauge different from the ones familiar to us.

The Mills Cross sonar sensor array, achieved by the virtual element technology, is one way to build a low-complexity and low-cost imaging system while not decreasing the imaging quality. This type of sensor array is widely investigated and applied in sensor imaging. However, the Mills Cross array still holds some redundancy in sensor spatial sampling, and it means that this sensor array may be further thinned. For this reason, the Almost Different Sets (ADS) method is proposed to further thin the Mills Cross array. First, the original Mills Cross array is divided into several transversal linea

The review of cold rolling mills used for the production of tinplate and thin tinplate in the world is presented. World tinplate production is characterized by the desire to reduce the thickness of its steel base. In connection with the variety of tinplate rolling mills, peculiarities of the deformation conditions of thin tinplate, complexity of the technological process and theoretical prediction of the rolling process indices, especially in terms of the theoretical model universality, as well as paucity of existing practical data, the necessity of experimental research is substantiated. There is a tendency in recent years to use by the world’s leading manufacturers of tires metal wires of small diameter (0,175– 0,20 mm) with higher strength, which requires the use of increased total number of extracts on wet drawing. The possibility of increasing the compression can be limited not only by the ductility of the processed metal, but also by the design of the existing drawing mills, in particular, by the insufficient total passport kinematic drawing and, as a consequence, to the excessive sliding of the wire relative to the drawing washers. This study aims to investigate the wear of coated end mills when milling Carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP) composites. Four different types of end mills are used in the milling experiments to identify the influence of tool geometry and material on tool wear. Cutting forces and wear mechanisms of coated mills are also discussed. Through the contrast experiment, diamond coated multitooth router shows the best performance with the smallest cutting force and the least wear extent under the same cutting parameter. The major failure mechanisms of coated tools are breakthrough of coating, coatin

ABSTRACT We performed an epidemiological study on Salmonella isolated from raw plant-based feed in Spanish mills. Overall, 32 different Salmonella serovars were detected. Despite its rare occurrence in humans and animals, Salmonella enterica serovar California was found to be the predominant serovar in Spanish feed mills. Different typing techniques showed that isolates of this serovar were genetically closely related, and comparative genomic hybridization using microarray technology revealed 23 S. enterica serovar Typhimurium LT2 gene clusters that are absent from serovar California.
