Esta tese tem como tema os fundamentos e a agenda da inclusão digital na educação no Brasil, cujo o objeto vislumbrado é a produção científica desenvolvida pela pós-graduação sobre inclusão digital, exclusivamente, as teses e dissertações defendidas a partir dos anos 2000 a 2011. O problema foi o de investigar como a inclusão digital vem sendo estudada e fundamentada, ao longo dos anos 2000, no que concerne a sua agenda de pesquisa para a educação brasileira? O objetivo geral analisou como a inclusão digital vem sendo estudada e fundamentada, ao longo dos anos 2000, no que concerne a sua agenda de pesquisa para a educação brasileira. Para alcançar esse objetivo geral, buscou-se como objetivos específicos mapear como o tema inclusão digital tem sido estudado na área de Educação no Brasil; observar aspectos ligados a tendências teóricas conceituais e metodologias que envolvem o tema inclusão digital na Educação; analisar os níveis de articulação paradigmática dos resultados de pesquisa em educação que abordam o tema; e sugerir alternativas de consolidar uma agenda de pesquisa neste campo. A pesquisa foi realizada a partir de uma amostra composta de teses (08) e dissertações (23) após atribuição de critérios de seleção. Se caracteriza como um estudo de nível analítico com abordagem qualitativa e quantitativa, com adoção do método de infometria e bibliográfico. As conclusões se referem à formação de seis linhas de estudo; a existência de um grupo de elite da fundamentação teórica, a apresentação do diagrama multidisciplinar da inclusão digital na educação, levando a que o pesquisador tenha um perfil potencialmente multidisciplinar. Referem-se também ao conceito de inclusão social que sustenta o tema, as opções metodológicas e as principais teorias que fundamentam os estudos neste campo.
ABSTRACT This thesis has as its theme the fundamentals and the agenda of digital inclusion in education in Brazil, the object is glimpsed scientific production developed by graduate on digital inclusion exclusively theses and dissertations from the 2000s The problem It was to investigate how this digital inclusion has been studied and reasoned, over the 2000s, with regard to its research agenda for Brazilian education? The objective examined how digital inclusion has been studied and reasoned, over the 2000s, with regard to its research agenda for Brazilian education. The specific objectives as to map the theme digital inclusion has been studied in Education in Brazil; to observe aspects of the conceptual theoretical trends and methodologies involving digital inclusion issue in education; and analyze the paradigmatic articulation levels of the search results in education that address. The survey was conducted from a sample of theses (08) and dissertations (23) after award selection criteria. It is characterized as an analytical level study with qualitative and quantitative approach, with adoption of Infometrics and bibliographic method. It was found the formation of six study lines; the elite group of theoretical basis, the development of multidisciplinary diagram of digital inclusion in education, the concept of social inclusion supports the theme, methodological options and main theories. The conclusion discusses the researcher has a potentially interdisciplinary profile.

The goal of this dissertation is to examine how the issue of digital inclusion agenda entered the government of São Paulo and how designed the digital inclusion program Acessa Sao Paulo. By studying this policy, we sought to identify who were the people who discussed this issue, why they did it, it how done, who participated, finally get behind the scenes of these discussions that preceded the conception of this public policy. To find the relevant actors who participated in the design of public policy of digital inclusion in São Paulo’s, state there was realized a literature getting up about the subject and several contacts were made by e-mail and / or social networks, seeking names of those who participated in this discussions that leading the deployment of digital inclusion program at São Paulo’s state. Before the confirmation of the involvement of those actors, there was made an invitation to them participate in the work through an interview. The entry of the issue of digital inclusion was a slow and gradual process that started since the take office of Governor Mário Covas for his first mandate (1995-1998). The use of computerization by the government was in it’s foressen government’ plane in 1994 as a way to modernize the administrative machine and bring near the state citizens. The need to create a digital inclusion program for low-income citizens would have access to the internet should, above all, the e-government initiatives promoted by the State that was by intent to deliver public services to citizens through internet. At the beginning of the 2000’s internet access was a privilege for few. Hence that, the need to think in a policy that promote the digital inclusion of these people. That was the main reason for the government to assume that the issue of digital inclusion was a problem to be solved. And definitively entered at the government's agenda and subsequently giving rise to Acessa São Paulo.
O objetivo da presente dissertação é analisar como a temática da inclusão digital entrou na agenda governamental do Estado de São Paulo e como foi concebido o programa de inclusão digital Acessa São Paulo. Ao estudar essa política pública, buscou-se identificar quem foram às pessoas que discutiram esse tema, por que fizeram, como foi feito, quem participou, enfim, entrar nos bastidores dessas discussões que antecederam a concepção dessa política pública. Para se chegar aos atores relevantes que participaram da concepção da política pública de inclusão digital no Estado de São Paulo, foi realizado um levantamento bibliográfico sobre o tema e vários contatos foram feitos via email e/ou redes sociais buscando nomes que participaram dessas discussões que antecederam a implantação do programa de inclusão digital no Estado de São Paulo. A partir da confirmação do envolvimento desses atores foi feito um convite para que esses participassem do trabalho através de uma entrevista. A entrada da temática da inclusão digital foi um processo lento e gradual que se iniciou desde a posse do governador Mario Covas para seu primeiro mandato (1995-1998). O uso da informatização pelo governo estava previsto em seu plano de governo em 1994 como forma de modernizar a maquina administrativa e aproximar o Estado dos cidadãos. A necessidade de se criar um programa de inclusão digital para que os cidadãos de baixa renda pudessem ter acesso à internet deve, sobretudo, as iniciativas de governo eletrônico promovidas pelo governo do Estado que tinha por objetivo disponibilizar serviços públicos via internet aos cidadãos. No inicio da década de 2000 acesso a internet era privilégio para poucos. Daí a necessidade de se pensar em uma política que promovesse a inclusão digital dessas pessoas. Essa foi a razão principal para que o governo assumisse que a questão da inclusão digital era um problema a ser resolvido. E entrasse definitivamente na agenda do governo e posteriormente dando origem ao Acessa São Paulo.

Tesis para optar al grado de Magister en Educación con mención en Informática Educativa
La presente investigación busca develar las intenciones tentativas y posiciones teórico-políticas subyacentes al discurso que promueve la implementación de las agendas digitales en educación. Se pretende lograr la identificación y comprensión del fenómeno social que representa la modernización tecnológica en el sistema educativo mediante un análisis documental de agendas digitales a nivel internacional, regional y nacional, generando un proceso de teorización anclada acorde con los objetivos trazados. Como resultado, la investigación ofrece un constructo teórico (“ideología evolucionista de las TIC”) capaz de comprender e interpretar los mecanismos que, a nivel de discurso, legitiman el plan modernizador de la fuerza laboral y los posibles escenarios de exclusión que este trae. A nivel de política pública, esta tesis es un aporte para desnaturalizar y replantear las acciones ejecutadas a gran escala en las escuelas respecto al uso de las TIC. En lo epistemológico, abre las puertas a una crítica sobre los marcos conceptuales que sostienen las propuestas y estudios sobre las TIC en la educación, revelando los supuestos que portan sus principales agencias promotoras, identificando limitaciones conceptuales y explorando potencialidades acorde con su impacto real en la vida social y educativa. Desde el punto de vista educativo, este trabajo permite interpretar propósitos y responsabilidades estructurales que tienen que ver con el éxito o fracaso de las políticas revisadas, de modo que sirvan para comprender el proceso histórico de pérdida de valor profesional docente, la noción del liderazgo educativo reducida a una gestión de recursos, y el estatuto del alumno como un trabajador-consumidor en potencia

"Everything is connected." This is the maximum of our century. With the digital network it has become stronger because we are even more entangled in a network of complex and changing networks, consisting of nodes (actants of all kinds) and edges (connections). However, the nodes are only part of a whole. Nodes connected are simply a static structure. Therefore, there is something that gives life to the network: the dynamics - the movements that the nodes perform, depending on the connections, revealing multiinteractions in digital networks. The multi-interactions are a type of communication action, hybrid and singular among actants that, by allowing mediation in the communication standard "all-all" without considerably reduce reciprocity between them, has reshaped the world in various dimensions, including the way to do global politics. The World We Want platform, created by the United Nations to join in an unprecedented way the opinion of civil society in building the new global agenda, called Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), illustrates this process. After all, the platform shows that the UN has appropriated the cyberculture attributes to an experiment complex and impossible before the digital culture. Therefore, our goal is to accompany the phenomenon of multiinteractions in The World We Want platform to understand, from the Web macro dimension, how the UN faced the complexity permeated throughout this communication process and converted the conflict in a consensus, the SDGs Agenda. Therefore, for the methodological procedure, we use the systems of Information Architecture, the Heuristic Evaluation by Nielsen, Actor-Network Theory and its extension, the Cartography of Controversies. From the analysis, we conclude that the UN used the complexity of multiinteractions to achieve your goal, turning The World We Want in a hub of sustainability debates and stimulating the collective intelligence and collaborative processes in network. However, although the platform has changed the way of building global agendas and has described as a tool for promoting democracy, we understand that it has not yet reached that level. Therefore, the platform allowed the people to be heard, but not to participate in decisions by the summit, making the SDGs Agenda another document that only supports the UN consolidated discourse for almost four decades.
“Tudo está conectado”. Esta é a máxima do nosso século. E com a rede digital ela se tornou mais forte, pois estamos ainda mais emaranhados em uma rede de redes complexas e mutáveis, compostas por nós (actantes de todos os tipos) e arestas (conexões). Contudo, os nós sozinhos são apenas partes de um todo e os nós conectados não passam de uma estrutura estática. Logo, existe algo que dá vida à rede: as dinâmicas – os movimentos que os nós realizam em função das conexões, revelando, na rede digital, as multiinterações. As multi-interações são um tipo de ação comunicativa, híbrida e singular entre os actantes que, ao permitir a mediação no padrão de comunicação “todos-todos”, sem reduzir, consideravelmente, a reciprocidade entre eles, tem reconfigurado o mundo em várias dimensões, inclusive na forma de fazer política global. A plataforma The World We Want, criada pela ONU para aderir de forma inédita a opinião da sociedade civil na construção da nova agenda global, denominada Objetivos de Desenvolvimento Sustentável (ODS), ilustra tal processo. Afinal, a plataforma revela a ONU se apropriando dos atributos da cibercultura para realizar uma experiência complexa e impossível antes da cultura digital. Nosso objetivo se constitui, portanto, no acompanhamento do fenômeno das multi-interações na plataforma The World We Want para entender, a partir da dimensão macro da Web, como a ONU enfrentou a complexidade permeada em todo esse processo comunicacional e converteu os conflitos num consenso, a Agenda ODS. Para tanto, quanto procedimento metodológico, nos apropriamos dos Sistemas da Arquitetura da Informação, da Avaliação Heurística de Nielsen, da Teoria Ator-Rede e de sua extensão, a Cartografia de Controvérsias. E, a partir da análise, concluímos que a ONU usou a própria complexidade das multi-interações para atingir seu objetivo, transformando a The World We Want em um hub dos debates da sustentabilidade e estimulando a inteligência coletiva e os processos colaborativos em rede. No entanto, embora a plataforma tenha mudado a forma de construir agendas globais e seja descrita como um instrumento de promoção da democracia, entendemos que ela não atingiu esse nível ainda. Pois, ela permitiu que a população fosse ouvida, mas não que esta participasse das decisões junto à cúpula da ONU, tornando a Agenda ODS mais um documento que apenas sustenta o discurso consolidado da Organização há quase quatro décadas.

Abstract:
As digitalisation continues to spread, the impact technology has on society is evident. In Sweden, digitalisation has led to the end of analog options forcing individuals to rapidly adapt to new technologies. For this reason, the diffusion of electronic identification (eID) as a critical technology occurred at an accelerated rate. However, a segment of society remains without access to this innovation. In this study, qualitative semi-structured interviews were conducted with influential eID actors in Sweden to identify factors that impact the diffusion process, with a focus on late adoption. The result of this study shows that collaborations, accountability, biases, compatible technologies, and infrastructure technologies influence the spread of eID. These factors can be identified at an actor level but interact and consolidate on a system level. The above-mentioned findings have implications for innovation diffusion and digital divide theories as well as policy decisions regarding infrastructure technology and the practical requirements for adopting to eID.
I takt med att digitaliseringen breder ut sig blir teknologins påverkan och inflytande över samhället mer tydlig. I Sverige har digitaliseringen lett till att analoga tjänster upphör, därmed tvingas individer att snabbt anpassa sig till ny teknik. Av denna anledning har spridningen av elektroniska identitetshandlingar (e-leg) accelererats. Denna teknologi kan klassas som samhällskritisk och har därmed en särställning. Dock finns det icke-användare som ännu inte tagit del av denna innovation och därmed saknar tillgång till viktiga tjänster. I denna studie har kvalitativa semistrukturerade intervjuer genomförts med inflytelserika e-leg aktörer i syfte att identifiera faktorer som påverkar den sista fasen av innovationsspridning. Resultatet av denna studie visar på att samarbete, ansvar, fördomar, kompatibla tekniker och aspekter av infrastruktur samverkar och potentiellt begränsar användandet av e-leg. Dessa faktorer existerar på en aktörsnivå och interagerar samt förenas på en strukturell systemnivå. Detta utmanar teorier kring innovationsspridning och den digitala klyftan. Dessutom får dessa insikter betydelse för politiska beslut angående samhällskritisk teknik, samt för det framtida användandet av elektroniska identitetshandlingar i Sverige.

Abstract:
Las actividades propias de la administración pública, no han sido ajenas al contexto histórico de la conformación de una sociedad de la información. De forma específica, la administración pública, en sus tres niveles, tiene el reto de no quedar excluida del contexto tecnológico- digital que viven las actuales sociedades, además de aprovechar estos infrenables avances tecnológicos para favorecer la vinculación con la sociedad y sus necesidades. Resulta de especial interés la implementación de estas herramientas tecnológicas en el actuar de los gobiernos locales, en primera instancia por el reto que representa la inserción de dispositivos tecnológicos, las nuevas tareas que surgen de ello así como la generación de capacidades de uso en los servidores públicos. Un segundo reto que tienen los gobiernos se encuentra al interior de la sociedad y se refiere a la procuración de que la población cuente con la capacidad de uso y acceso a dichas tecnologías, para así poder completar el círculo de vinculación entre sociedad y gobierno a través de las posibilidades que brindan las novedosas herramientas tecnológicas. Ante este contexto, surgen estudios específicos desde el ámbito académico y profesional entorno al desarrollo de modelos y conceptos de gobierno electrónico y de gobierno abierto, con la consigna de indagar en las mejores prácticas y ofrecer a los gobierno alternativas de solución a ante los retos que se presentan en la era de la información. Este es un trabajo de investigación que conjunta las perspectivas de los estudios de gobierno abierto y gobierno electrónico como características de una administración pública que busca eficientar su operatividad a través de nuevas estrategias basadas en el uso de las TIC. La investigación se realiza desde la administración pública, pero también desde una perspectiva comunicacional que indaga en el uso de las estrategias TIC desde el gobierno, como una alternativa para favorecer la comunicación en dos direcciones entre la esfera social y la gubernamental.

Abstract:
Scholars of intermedia agenda-setting have examined how news organizations can affect one another's content, but research is lacking on the influence of foreign news programs on fledging media outlets, such as Rwanda Television (RTV). A quantitative content analysis conducted between October and December 2016 indicates that media outlets in core countries dominated RTV's international news edition, which depended mostly on foreign programs, mainly from Euronews and Al Jazeera English. The 2016 U.S. election was the predominant topic. More than half the stories had a negative tone. In addition, qualitative interviews with the RTV editorial team revealed that the main factors influencing story selection were proximity, prominence, impact, cultural values, and relevance. Cross-lagged correlation coefficients indicated that both RTV and two Rwandan newspapers—igihe.com and Imvaho Nshya—focused on the same news topics but with slightly different sources. In Rwanda, the defining factors for this intermedia agenda-setting are not media type, ownership, or technology, as other studies have found, but institutional barriers, language, and the globalization of news. Faced with limited finances and a shortage of trained journalists, fledging media organizations in Rwanda will continue to depend on big media for their daily international news. Strategies are suggested for helping to break the cycle of foreign media domination and news homogenization in Rwanda

Resumo: O presente estudo se propõe a identificar, sistematizar e analisar a agenda política construída no plano regional sul-americano acerca da produção, distribuição e circulação de bens simbólicos e culturais, materializados na forma de conteúdos digitais, no âmbito da União das Nações Sul-americanas (Unasul). O recorte temporal de análise compreende o período entre 2008 e 2017, que representa a primeira década de atuação do organismo de cooperação, posteriormente à consolidação das Declarações da Cúpula Mundial sobre a Sociedade da Informação (CMSI), que definiriam os elementos norteadores das estratégias de desenvolvimento da Organização das Nações Unidas (ONU) para a consolidação do novo paradigma sociotécnico da Sociedade da Informação. A pesquisa possui abordagem qualitativa, de caráter explicativo, e recorre à Análise Documental como procedimento para desconstrução dos elementos essenciais dos registros documentais da Unasul; reconstrói e debate os elementos essenciais à conformação de políticas de comunicação para produção de conteúdos digitais a partir do referencial teórico-epistemológico da Economia Política da Comunicação e do Conhecimento – influenciado pela tradição de pesquisa do Ciespal. Como resultados, a pesquisa identifica a centralidade das indústrias culturais e da propriedade intelectual na agenda política da Unasul, apesar de verificar certa dificuldade na implementação de ações concretas para o setor.

El plazo de análisis abarca el período entre 2008 y 2017, que representa la primera década de funcionamiento del organismo de cooperación, después de la consolidación de las Declaraciones de la Cumbre Mundial sobre la Sociedad de la Información (CMSI), que definiría los elementos orientadores de las estrategias de cooperación. Desarrollo de las Naciones Unidas (ONU) para consolidar el nuevo paradigma sociotécnico de la sociedad de la información. La investigación tiene un enfoque cualitativo, de carácter explicativo, y utiliza el análisis de documentos como un procedimiento para deconstruir los elementos esenciales de los registros documentales de Unasur; Reconstruye y discute los elementos esenciales para la configuración de las políticas de comunicación para la producción de contenido digital desde el marco teóricoepistemológico de la economía política de la comunicación y el conocimiento, influenciado por la tradición de investigación de Ciespal. Abstract: The present research proposes to identify, systematize and analyze the political agenda built on the South American regional plan on the production, materialized in the form of digital content, within the Union of South American Nations (USAN). The analysis understand the period between 2008 and 2017, that represents the first decade of cooperation operation, after the consolidation of the Declaration of the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS), that would define the guiding elements of the development strategies of the United Nations (UN) for the consolidation of the new socio-technical paradigm of the information society. The research has a qualitative approach with an explanatory character and uses the documentary analysis to deconstruction the essential elements of USAN's documentary records; reconstructs and debates the essential elements to the conformation of communication policies for the production of digital contents from the theoreticalepistemological referential of the Political Economy of Communication and Knowledge – influenced by Ciespal's research tradition. As results, the research identifies the centrality of cultural industries and intellectual property on the political agenda of USAN, although verify some difficulty in the implementation of concrete actions for the sector.

The hypothesis of agenda-setting is a type of social effect at the media, which understands the selection, disposition, and incidence of news on the issues the public will speak about and discuss. Within the context of studies on the effects of means of communication on the society, the agenda setting hypothesis investigation appears during the Seventies. This PhD thesis intends to show the possibility that the agenda-setting process can also be performed through publicity campaigns and public relation actions. Furthermore, the hypothesis of overbooking is presented. The topic chosen to develop the study was the concept recovery of mobile telephone (cell phone) coverage, performed by the company Claro Digital at the state of Rio Grande do Sul, from 1999 to 2002, using the Grounded Theory.
A hipótese do agenda-setting é um tipo de efeito social, na mídia, que compreende a seleção, disposição e incidência de notícias sobre os temas que o público falará e discutirá. Dentro do contexto dos estudos sobre os efeitos dos meios de comunicação na sociedade, surge nos anos 70 a investigação da hipótese do agenda setting. Esta tese de doutorado pretende mostrar a possibilidade de o processo de agenda-setting (agendamento) ser realizado, também, através de campanhas publicitárias e de ações de Relações Públicas. Além disso, apresenta a hipótese de sobreagendamento. Uppsala universitet The aim of this master’s thesis is to investigate, through text analysis, the role of copyright in development, with particular interest of how the concepts knowledge and access to knowledge are used in Access to Knowledge Draft Treaty and WIPO Development Agenda. The definition of the concept knowledge, as it is used in copyright, is based in a Western historical and philosophical context and therefore excludes knowledge created in another type of society. The consequences of this exclusion have effects on development. Further it is stated that knowledge according to the global copyright scheme will be reduced to a commodity, which will have consequences not only in societies in the global South. The difficulties in achieving access to knowledge in the global copyright regime are investigated. The flexibilities contained in the Berne Convention and the TRIPS Agreement are limited in scope and difficult to maintain. Exclusion from access to knowledge affects development and deepens inequalities both within countries and globally.

El presente escrito pretende describir y analizar la agenda de la prensa escrita digital respecto a los temas de la privacidad de la ciudadanía y la vigilancia estatal en Colombia durante el periodo 2015-2016, valiéndose de herramientas propias del análisis de contenido y discurso para develar el tratamiento editorial que la prensa con mayor lectura en Colombia (“El Tiempo” y “El Espectador”) hace de los temas en mención en un momento histórico particular de la nación con las negociaciones de paz entre el Gobierno Nacional y las Fuerzas Armadas Revolucionarias de Colombia – Ejército del Pueblo (FARC-EP). Se encuentra que, primero, sí existe una agenda respecto a los temas tratados, con mayor cobertura y tratamiento desde El Espectador que desde El Tiempo. En esta agenda se destaca el esfuerzo por dejar un historial de lo ocurrido con los escándalos de los sistemas de vigilancia estatal en Colombia y el mundo, demarcando los efectos a los que se someten tanto los Estados como la ciudadanía en materia de derechos humanos, tecnologías de información y comunicación, y transparencia en la contratación pública. Se considera que este trabajo cumple con un múltiple propósito tanto para la academia como para el periodista o escritor que trabaja para los medios: por un lado, se obtiene evidencia de las temáticas tratadas y posteriormente, si se desea, profundizar en su tratamiento y acercamiento; por otro lado, puede constituirse en un suplemento adicional para encontrar nuevas categorías de estudio enmarcadas en las categorías ‘privacidad’ y ‘vigilancia’; por último, sirve como medio de denuncia de carácter ciudadano de determinados hechos, en la búsqueda de la defensa plena de los derechos humanos que encubren a las personas para su desarrollo en una sociedad democrática.

This research explored how the Smart Cape Access Project in Delft Public Library is used by the Delft community and how it related to the Millennium Development Goals asset out by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO). This study also investigated the Smart Cape Access Project, as an initiative by the City of Cape Town to ensure access to Information Communication Technologies (ICTs) for all citizens of Cape Town, and how it is utilised as a tool for economic and personal development. The research took place at Delft Public Library in Delft. Delft is a residential area with no industries, whatsoever. The area has a high unemployment rate, high crime rate and more than 60% of those employed earn less than R1600. 00 per month. These factors and the fact that the City of Cape Town recognizes the importance of ICTs for economic and social growth made Delft ideal for this research. The study also investigated whether the information given via the Smart Cape Access project is relevant for sustainable development. Sustainable development is on the agenda of many countries and the concept can be taken as far back as the seventies with the first United Nations Conference on the Human Environment in Stockholm, Sweden and culminating in the World Summit on Sustainable Development in 2002 in Johannesburg, South Africa. In South Africa several initiatives were implemented to bring ICTs to those who do not have access to ICTs, as the importance of ICTs to improve and uplift the quality of life are recognised by different role-players e.g. government, private sectors and nongovernmental organisations (NGOs). The researcher regarded this as sufficient reason to embark on this study, though the scope of the study only concentrated on the Smart Cape Access Project in one public library.

Social sustainability and digitalisation are two concepts that are gaining a large place in the public debate today, and are relevant in all sectors of society. For the public sector, the relevance can be traced to the global goals and the 2030 Agenda for sustainability, and Sweden's national ambitions to become the best in the world in taking advantage of digitalisation opportunities. The many possibilities of digitalisation are emphasized in many contexts in order to achieve the global goals, but digitalisation also entails challenges for many people who need to be considered and managed in order for development to take place in a socially sustainable way. The thesis aims to study social sustainability and digitalisation in an integrated way by examining how four Swedish municipalities with a social sustainability profile work with these issues, and how this is reflected in the digitalisation work. The study is based on interviews and document studies. Similarities and differences are explained from an organizational and governance perspective. The result shows that social sustainability is a difficult concept to define, and that it appears in many different forms, where there are difficulties in making all visible. However, the study has been able to show prominent aspects of social sustainability based on the literature, and how sustainability management can be conducted in a digital context. Further, it shows that the aspects of social sustainability that are emphasized in a digital context are largely related to the single efforts that are being made in each case and municipality. Similarities and differences in how the municipalities integrate social sustainability in the digitalisation work are explained on the basis of terms of organization, governance, sustainability management, branding and collaboration.
Social hållbarhet och digitalisering är två begrepp som erhåller stor plats i samhällsdebatten idag, och är aktuella i alla samhällssektorer. För offentlig sektor kan relevansen härledas till det globala arbetet med Agenda2030, och Sveriges nationella ambitioner om att bli bäst i världen på att tillvarata digitaliserings möjligheter, där kommuner är viktiga aktörer i utvecklingen. Digitaliseringens möjligheter framhålls i många sammanhang i syfte att nå de globala målen, men digitaliseringen medför också utmaningar för många människor som behöver betraktas och hanteras, för att utvecklingen ska ske på ett social hållbart sätt. Uppsatsen syftar till att studera social hållbarhet och digitalisering på ett integrerat sätt genom att undersöka hur fyra svenska kommuner med en social hållbarhetsprofil arbetar med frågorna, samt hur det återspeglas i digitaliseringsarbetet. Undersökningen baseras på intervjuer och dokumentstudier. Likheter och skillnader förklaras från ett organisations- och styrningsperspektiv. Studien har visat på att social hållbarhet är ett svårdefinierat begrepp som uppträder i många former, och att det finns svårigheter med att synliggöra alla. Studien har dock kunnat visa på framträdande aspekter av social hållbarhet i kommunala verksamheter utifrån litteraturen, och hur hållbarhetsstyrning kan bedrivas i en digital kontext. Vidare visar studien att de aspekter av social hållbarhet som framhålls i en digital kontext, är till större delen relaterade till de insatser som bedrivs inom varje kommun. Likheter och skillnader i hur kommunerna integrerar social hållbarhet i digitaliseringsarbetet förklaras utifrån termer om organisering och styrning, hållbarhetsstyrning, varumärkesarbete och samverkan.

El presente proyecto es una agencia de Marketing Digital para la red social Facebook, dirigida a ofrecer servicios a empresas Mype en Perú, dedicadas principalmente a la comercialización de productos y/o servicios, que tuvieran presupuestos bajos para invertir en un canal digital. La elección de mercado objetivo se obtuvo mediante una investigación de las necesidades de los actuales empresarios del país. Las empresas, en su mayoría, están bajo el régimen Mype, y se vio reflejado en las entrevistas, ya que el 100% de estos pertenecían a este régimen. Además, se rescataron datos importantes, como el reconocimiento de la importancia del Marketing Digital para los empresarios. Hablaron también sobre la necesidad de contar con servicios de diseñadores gráficos y community managers que trabajaran con una estrategia que brindara resultados, por último, esperaban no tener que gastar presupuestos excesivos, ya que esto significaría realizar fuertes sumas de dinero que no disponían. Se encontró una problemática de no encontrar profesionales encargados de implementar una estrategia digital a un precio accesible. Para la implementación de este proyecto se realizó un análisis del entorno, empezando por estudios del sector: la competencia, los consumidores, los proveedores del servicio y más factores externos que impactaban directa e indirectamente en las empresas de esta industria. Asimismo, para completar la investigación y viabilidad del negocio, se realizaron planes y presupuestos. Entre estos planes se encuentra el Plan de Operaciones, el Plan de Marketing, el Plan de Responsabilidad Social Empresarial, el Plan Estratégico y, por último, el Plan Financiero. Digital Boost ha demostrado su viabilidad mediante cifras, el primer año se obtendrá una utilidad neta de 8,345.46 soles, el segundo año será de 6,353.70 soles y 83,248.21 soles para el tercer año.
This project is a Digital Marketing agency focused on Facebook, aimed to offer services to Mype companies in Peru, mainly dedicated to the commercialization of products and services, companies that can afford low budgets to invest in a digital channel. The choice of the target market was made through an investigation of the needs of current businessmen in the country. The companies, for the most part, are under the Mype regime, and it was reflected in the interviews, since 100% of these belonged to this regime. In addition, important data was rescued, such as the recognition of the importance of Digital Marketing for entrepreneurs. They also talked about the need of having graphic designer services and community managers that would work with a strategy that provides real results, finally, they hoped they would not have to spend excessive budgets, since this means carrying out large sums of money that they cannot afford. There was a problem of not finding professionals responsible for implementing a digital strategy at an affordable price in the market. For the implementation of this project, an analysis of the environment was carried out, starting with studies of the sector: competition, consumers, service providers and more external factors that directly and indirectly impact on companies in this industry. Also, to complete the investigation and viability of the business, plans and budgets were made. These plans included the Operations Plan, the Marketing Plan, the Corporate Social Responsibility Plan, the Strategic Plan and, finally, the Financial Plan. Digital Boost has detected its viability through numbers, the first year the project earns a net profit of 8,345.46 soles, the second year will be 6,353.70 soles and 83,248.21 soles for the third year.

Por ello, Willasun al identificar esta necesidad propone una plataforma digital para la contratación de proveedores (personas que brindan servicios para el hogar). El servicio de Willasun tiene como principal misión brindar confianza, mediante el uso de filtros rigurosos para la selección de proveedores apropiados en las tareas que les sean asignadas. Para ello, se implementará los servicios mediante una plataforma web tanto para clientes (que buscan el servicio) y proveedores. Asimismo, se proyecta que los clientes llegaran mediante la recomendación directa obtenida a través de una red de contactos entre amigos y familiares, la cual se complementará a través de una campaña de publicidad mediante el canal de redes sociales como Facebook, Instagram y WhatsApp. Willasun se caracteriza por usar la innovación y tecnología en el desarrollo de sus actividades desde la búsqueda del servicio hasta la contratación del mismo para el cliente, y para el proveedor desde la postulación de empleo hasta ser vinculado con el cliente final, todo esto 100% digital sin ser necesario el contacto físico para la contratación del servicio ya que se tiene programado las entrevistas, envío de resultados de exámenes médicos, antecedentes penales, firma de contrato, entre otros de manera virtual.
Due to the current situation and the need for support in daily activities at home, along with work and study, households are looking for people to support them with their household chores. What problems can there be for stakeholders with a digitized platform in a housing business? Purpose: The purpose of this study is to find out how a digitized platform can be designed for sellers and brokers. We will also investigate whether it can possibly lead to a more cost-effective and smoother process in a digital world. Through increased understanding, we will see what opportunities and problems emerge and what a future digital brokerage world can look like Method: A qualitative and a quantitative survey was conducted to get answers to the study's questions from both brokers 'and sellers' perspectives. With the help of semi-structured interviews, empirical data has been collected through telephone interviews. Empirical data has also been collected through survey questions that previous sellers have answered. Conclusion: The real estate service can currently be partially digitized through administration and digital tools that either replace or supplement the existing services. A few more parts of the process may be digitized in the future, but changes in laws and regulations are needed to make this possible. The human factor that exists in the personal meetings between the parties and the security it provides shows the importance of having an impartial advisor throughout the process, which is so important that it can not be replaced by digital solutions at the moment.
Problemformulering: Hur kan en digital plattform utformas för att bli ett alternativ förmäklaryrket och samtidigt vara fördelaktigt för säljarna? Vilka problem kan finnas förberörda parter med en digitaliserad plattform i en bostadsaffär? Syfte: Syftet med den här studien är att ta reda på hur en digitaliserad plattform kan utformasför säljare samt mäklare. Vi ska även undersöka om det eventuellt kan leda till enkostnadseffektivare och smidigare process i en digital värld. Genom ökad förståelse kommervi se vilka möjligheter och problem som växer fram och hur en framtida digital mäklarvärldkan se ut. Metod: En kvalitativ och en kvantitativ undersökning utfördes för att få svar på studiensforskningsfrågor utifrån både mäklare och säljares perspektiv. Med hjälp avsemistrukturerade intervjuer har empirisk data samlats in genom telefonintervjuer. Empiriskdata har även samlats in genom enkätfrågor som tidigare säljare fått svara på. Slutsats: Fastighetsmäklartjänsten kan i dagsläget delvis digitaliseras genom administrationoch digitala verktyg som antingen ersätter eller kompletterar de befintliga tjänsterna.Ytterligare några delar i processen kan i framtiden komma att digitaliseras men de behövsförändringar i lagar och regler för att möjliggöra det. Den mänskliga faktorn som finns i depersonliga mötena mellan parterna och tryggheten det ger visar på vikten av att ha en opartiskrådgivare genom hela processen vilket har så pass hög vikt att den idag inte kan digitaliserasbort.

Denna studie syftar till att undersöka hur förskollärare beskriver sitt arbete med digitala verktyg i verksamheten, samt vilken betydelse de upplever att digitala verktyg har för barns utveckling och lärande i förskolan. Studiens ansats är kvalitativ med semistrukturerade intervjuer som insamlingsmetod. Empirin baserades på åtta yrkesverksamma förskollärares subjektiva uppfattningar kring digitala verktyg. Studien utgick från ett posthumanistiskt perspektiv för att undersöka sambandet mellan digitala verktyg och vilka effekter som detta skapar, och beskrivs som ett ömsesidigt samkonstituerande ur ett posthumanistiskt perspektiv. Studiens resultat synliggjorde en osäkerhet kring förskollärares kompetens och på vilket sätt digitala verktyg kan tillämpas i undervisningen. Sammanfattningsvis framgick det att förskollärare har en övervägande positiv inställning till användningen av digitala verktyg. Förskollärare uttrycker att digitala verktyg får betydelse i undervisning genom att läromedlet används i ett pedagogiskt syfte och kompletteras av analogt material.

An ongoing problem in game design is how to create story-based games that allow the player to have a variety of experiences if the game is played more than once, preferably without burdening the designer with a prohibitive workload. In this project, I approach the problem of creating a game with a mutable narrative from an AI perspective, designing a system called CharacterSimulator that generates a population of non-player characters (NPCs) with which the player will interact and assigns the NPCs a set of goals to carry out. Varying the set of NPCs and their objectives will create a different narrative experience for the player when the game is replayed. Although the NPC behaviors were originally modeled on Braitenberg vehicles, I have largely moved away from that model in the final version, focusing more on assigning NPCs goals that result in narratively interesting interactions.

Purpose and problem discussion: Nowadays, it is crucial to implement social responsibility to business operations to succeed as a business. Companies face increased demands from customers and stakeholders to show their actions regarding social responsibility. At the same time, digital development is shaping the communication industry, creating new communication platforms in the world. The purpose of this study is to explore digital communication agencies role in the production and implementation of digital products within digital channels to best understand digital social responsibility. The study aims to answer the research questions: What social responsibilities does a digital communication agency have in regard to the products and messages they produce for digital channels? and How do digital communication agencies become socially responsible when using digital channels? Method: An abductive analysis method was applied to semi-structured interviews with digital communication agencies in Jönköping, Sweden. The analysis of the empirical findings has resulted in deeper understanding of social responsibility in digital environments; a study area that has not been explored before. Four digital communication agencies represent the average digital social responsibility mindset and business culture in Jönköping, Sweden. This gave us the possibility to research social responsibility on digital channels. Results, discussion and conclusions: The results show that the digital communication agencies clients are entirely responsible for the digital material published on their own digital channels. Although, the agencies do need to make sure they produce the best possible material for their clients to avoid bad relationships with stakeholders and a bad reputation. The results also show that social responsibility is not first priority for any company; profitability always comes first. The key to digital social responsibility is to work with the right clients and thoroughly analyse the client’s business operations to bring out the best in each case and to be prepared for backlashes. The digital communication agencies could also benefit from a crisis plan, to minimise stress and optimize the problem solving if a crisis would occur. If doing this correctly,the agencies enable genuine and honest digital communication, which minimises the risk of being perceived unfairly on digital platforms. This is especially of importance on digital platforms, where the speed, great reach and two-way communication makes it even easier to receive negativity and face backlashes. A digital communication agency can become socially responsible by working with the right clients, as well as producing and publishing genuine and honest digital communication.

Digital Libraries (DL) generally contain a collection of independently maintained data sets, in different formats, which may be queried by geographically dispersed users. The general problem of managing such large digital data archives is particularly challenging when the system must cope with data which is processed on demand. This dissertation proposes a Multi-Agent System (MAS) architecture for the utilisation of an active DL that provides computing services in addition to data-retrieval services, so that users can initiate computing jobs on remote supercomputers for processing, mining, and filtering of the data in the library. The system architecture is based on a collaborative set of agents, where each agent undertakes a pre-defined role, and is responsible for offering a particular type of service. The integration of services is based on a user defined query which can range in complexity from simple queries, to specialised algorithms which are transmitted to image processing archives as mobile agents. The proposed architecture enables new information sources and services to be integrated into the system dynamically, supports autonomous and dynamic on-demand data processing based on collaboration between agents, capable of handling a large number of concurrent users. Focus is based on the management of mobile agents which roam through the servers that constitute the DL to serve user queries. A new load balancing scheme is proposed for managing agent load among the available servers, based on the system state information and predictions about lifetime of agent tasks and server status. The system architecture is further extended by defining a gateway to provide interoperability with other heterogeneous agent-based systems. Interoperability in this sense enables agents from different types of platforms to communicate between themselves and use services provided by other systems. The novelty of the proposed gateway approach lies in the ability to adapt an existing legacy system for use with the agent-based approach (and one that adheres to FIPA standards). A prototype has been developed as a proof-of-concept to outline the principles and ideas involved, with reference to the Synthetic Aperture Radar Atlas (SARA) DL composed of multi-spectral remote-sensing imagery of the Earth. Although, the work presented in this dissertation has been evaluated in the context of SARA DL, the proposed techniques suggest useful guidelines that may be employed by other active archival systems.

Despite the fact that many Digital Libraries (DLs) are available on the Internet, users cannot effectively use them because of inadequate functionality, deficient visualisation and insufficient integration of different DLs. In the framework of this project we develop a user-oriented access system for DLs which overcomes these drawbacks. Based on experiences from the librarian area, higher functions to assist proved search strategies will be implemented. Different DLs will be tightly integrated, so that system-wide search and navigation is possible. The system will be adaptive towards different user wishes, regarding preferences concerning content and system involvement.

Des maladies vectorielles émergentes, comme la dengue, aggravent les crises de santé publique dans les mégapoles asiatiques de Bangkok (Thaïlande) et Delhi (Inde). Les liens entre les moustiques et l’environnement urbain ont été documentés mais la compréhension des mobilités humaines, en tant qu’élément primordial de diffusion des virus, reste un objet de recherche d'intérêt général à développer.En l'absence de données institutionnelles adaptées, notre recherche s'est d'abord orientée vers des enquêtes de terrain, puis sur la collecte, le traitement, la comparaison et la critique de données provenant d'acteurs majeurs d'Internet (Twitter, Facebook, Google, Microsoft). Leur potentiel varie selon les zones géographiques, mais elles permettent d'éclairer l'organisation et la structure des villes étudiées. De plus, elles font ressortir les temporalités et les interactions intra-urbaines. Toutefois, il semble encore difficilement envisageable de se passer de connaissances acquises in situ. En utilisant le concept d'espace d'activité, nous proposons une méthode permettant de produire des agendas individuels synthétiques, générés à partir de données Twitter et d'enquêtes de terrains. Emerging vector-borne diseases such as dengue intensify public health crises in the Asian megacities of Bangkok (Thailand) and Delhi (India). The links between mosquitoes and the urban environment are well documented, but our understanding of human movement, as a key element of virus spreading, has yet to be fully explored as a research subject. Given the paucity in adequate or available institutional data, our research first focused on field surveys, and then on the collection, comparison and critique of data collected from major Internet platforms (Twitter, Facebook, Google, Microsoft). Their potential varies from one geographical area to another, still they shed light on the organization and structure of the studied cities. Moreover, they highlight intra-urban interactions and timeframes. However, carrying out such studies without knowledge acquired from the field seems unadapted. Using the concept of activity space, we propose a method to produce individual synthetic agendas, generated from Twitter data and field surveys. This is a first step in the development of an agent-based model of individual mobility

As part of the ongoing Illinois Digital Library Initiative project, this paper presents the Java Search Agent Workshop (JSAW), a testbed designed for Java-based information searching. Based on artificial intelligence, neural networks, and G-Search, we implemented several search methods in Java to demonstrate their feasibility in various database, Internet, Intranet, and digital library search tasks. In addition to detailing our design rationale and implementation status, we present several sample Java implementations including a best first search spider and G-Search spider for Internet searching, and a Hopfield neural network based visualizer for database searching. Lessons learned and future directions are also presented.

(I) La indústria publicitària convergeix sobre territoris disruptius i fluctuants que es transformen contínuament a partir dels canvis digitals de les plataformes, de les xarxes digitals, de les aplicacions, del maquinari i el programari. Tot això conforma un terreny fèrtil d’innovacions, de ràpida ebullició de novetats, d’eclosions tecnològiques il·limitades i en constants taxes d’expansió que, a vegades, sembla impossible mesurar. En conseqüència, les evolucions digitals indueixen noves oportunitats i amenaces per a les agències de publicitat en Internet, establint noves narratives publicitàries digitals; possibilitant modernes construccions comunicatives i informatives; i facilitant originals estratègies de persuasió publicitària en els ecosistemes de les marques. (O) L’objectiu principal de la tesi és analitzar la informació i meta-informació dels metamèdia de les agències de publicitat en Internet i en els ecosistemes digitals, per a establir un estat dels portals web i plataformes, de tendències, estructures i composicions tècniques, tecnològiques, comunicatives i publicitàries. (M) S’ha implementat una metodologia que combina dos mètodes: el mètode d’anàlisi Découpage interactiu de Cibermedios –sistema d’anàlisi formal per a establir observacions detallades dels aspectes que conformen qualsevol producte interactiu- i el Sistema Articulat d’Anàlisi de Cibermedios (SAAC) –que és una metodologia integral per a avaluar neutralment els diferents components d’un metamèdia-. Tots dos van permetre una rigorosa categorització, mesurament i identificació dels metamèdia, ajustats a les necessitats de la indústria publicitària digital. Per a la mostra es van triar els metamèdia d’agències de publicitat de set (7) països: l’Argentina, Xile, Colòmbia, Espanya, Mèxic, Perú i Estats Units. Així mateix, previ a l’execució metodològica, es va realitzar una Revisió Sistematitzada en la base de dades de SCOPUS de les revistes indexades en quartils del Q1 al Q4, en tres idiomes. (R) Com a resultat, es van analitzar 147 metamèdia d’agències de publicitat en Internet, de set països en tres dimensions: els 49 metamèdia de millor posicionament en el Rànquing Efectivitat Effie Index, els 49 metamèdia més ben posicionats en SEO de Google i els 49 metamèdia més recurrents destacats amb SEM de Google, durant els anys 2018 i 2019. Es van trobar constants absències, dificultats i conflictes digitals, verificables en categories de frontend, backend, SEO, SEM, i en variables d’eines de Google com SERP, SHEMA, My Businnes, Rich Snippet, Brand Knowledge Graph Panell, entre moltes altres. (C) Les conclusions generals assenyalen dues grans línies: les agències de publicitat no s’ adeqüen a les noves exigències dels mercats i d’empreses que dominen les formes i mètodes de ser visibles de manera digital; i no existeixen altres models metodològics únics i exclusius, des dels camps del saber de la publicitat, que analitzin articuladament les dades, metadades, informació, metainformació i estructures gràfiques, comunicatives i publicitàries dels metamèdia de les agències de publicitat. De la mateixa manera, es conclou un comú denominador verificable: tots els metamèdia de les millors agències de publicitat en Internet, en tots els països seleccionats i en totes les dimensions, posseeixen les mateixes absències digitals i dificultats en la gestió estratègica del eBranding, o des de les execucions del SEO i el backend, o a partir de les habilitats i tàctiques SEM i accions especials de posicionament corporatiu amb les eines de Google, que influeixen en tot l’ecosistema digital.

(O) El objetivo prinicpal de la tesis es analizar la información y meta-información de los metamedios de las agencias de publicidad en Internet y en los ecosistemas digitales, para establecer un estado de los portales web y plataformas, de tendencias, estructuras y composiciones técnicas, tecnológicas, comunicativas y publicitarias. (M) Se ha implementado una metodología que combina dos métodos: el método de análisis Découpage interactivo de Cibermedios –sistema de análisis formal para establecer observaciones detalladas de los aspectos que conforman cualquier producto interactivo- y el Sistema Articulado de Análisis de Cibermedios (SAAC) –que es una metodología integral para evaluar neutralmente los distintos componentes de un metamedio-. Ambos permitieron una rigurosa categorización, medición e identificación de los metamedios, ajustados a las necesidades de la industria publicitaria digital. Para la muestra se eligieron los metamedios de agencias de publicidad de siete (7) países: Argentina, Chile, Colombia, España, México, Perú y Estados Unidos. Asimismo, previo a la ejecución metodológica, se realizó una Revisión Sistematizada en la base de datos de SCOPUS de las revistas indexadas en cuartiles del Q1 al Q4, en tres idiomas. Del mismo modo, se concluye un común denominador verificable: todos los metamedios de las mejores agencias de publicidad en Internet, en todos los países selecionados y en todas las dimensiones, poseen las mismas ausencias digitales y dificultades en la gestión estratégica del eBranding, o desde las ejecuciones del SEO y el backend, o a partir de las habilidades y tácticas SEM y acciones especiales de posicionamiento corporativo con las herramientas de Google, que influyen en todo el ecosistema digital.
(I) The advertising industry converges on disruptive and fluctuating territories that are continually transformed from the digital changes of platforms, digital networks, applications, hardware and software. All of this forms a fertile ground for innovations, for the rapid boiling of novelties, for unlimited technological hatches and in constant expansion rates that, at times, seem impossible to measure. Consequently, digital evolutions induce new opportunities and threats for Internet advertising agencies, establishing new digital advertising narratives; enabling modern communicative and informative constructions; and facilitating original strategies of advertising persuasion in the ecosystems of the brands. (O) The main objective of the thesis is to analyze the information and meta-information of the metamedia of the advertising agencies on the Internet and in the digital ecosystems, to establish a state of the web portals and platforms, trends, structures and compositions technical, technological, communicative and advertising. (M) A methodology has been implemented that combines two methods: the Cibermedia interactive Découpage analysis method - a formal analysis system to establish detailed observations of the aspects that make up any interactive product - and the Articulated Cybermedia Analysis System (SAAC) -Which is a comprehensive methodology to neutrally evaluate the different components of a metamedium-. Both allowed a rigorous categorization, measurement and identification of metamedia, adjusted to the needs of the digital advertising industry. For the sample, the metamedia of advertising agencies from seven (7) countries were chosen: Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Spain, Mexico, Peru and the United States. Likewise, prior to the methodological execution, a Systematized Review was carried out in the SCOPUS database of the journals indexed in quartiles from Q1 to Q4, in three languages. (R) As a result, 147 metamedia from Internet advertising agencies were analyzed, from seven countries in three dimensions: the 49 metamedia with the best positioning in the Effectiveness Effie Index Ranking, the 49 metamedios with the best SEO positioning of Google and the 49 metamedios The most recurrent ones that were scheduled with Google’s SEM, during the years 2018 and 2019. Constant absences, difficulties and digital conflicts were found, verifiable in frontend, backend, SEO, SEM categories, and in variables of Google tools such as SERP, SHEMA, My Businnes, Rich Snippet, Brand Knowledge Graph Panel, among many others. (C) The general conclusions indicate two main lines: advertising agencies are not suitable for the new demands of markets and companies that dominate the forms and methods of being visible digitally; and there are no other unique and exclusive methodological models, from the fields of advertising knowledge, that jointly analyze the data, metadata, information, meta-information and graphic, communicative and advertising structures of the metamedia of advertising agencies. In the same way, a verifiable common denominator is concluded: all the metamedia of the best advertising agencies on the Internet, in all the selected countries and in all dimensions, have the same digital absences and difficulties in the strategic management of eBranding, or from SEO and backend executions, or from SEM skills and tactics and special corporate positioning actions with Google tools, which influence the entire digital ecosystem.

Esta tese apresenta uma pesquisa direcionada para a análise das relações dialógicas produzidas em interações de crianças com o agente pedagógico afetivo Maga Vitta no jogo digital Città. A motivação para o desenvolvimento deste trabalho é a possibilidade de tornar mais natural e mais contextualizada a relação entre o agente pedagógico afetivo e as crianças em sala de aula, verificando, assim, no que este estudo pode contribuir para criar mecanismos de diálogos entre o agente e o estudante voltados para jogos digitais na educação, no contexto escolar das crianças. Também, está direcionada para as pesquisas comprometidas com o jogo digital Città, visando ao desenvolvimento e melhorias do ambiente educacional, considerando que o mesmo está em constante evolução. A partir das interações das crianças com este jogo digital, busca-se resolver o problema de pesquisa que está focado em verificar como são essas relações dialógicas das crianças com o agente pedagógico afetivo do jogo. Para fins de validação da pesquisa foi implementado o agente, Maga Vitta, que foi pensado juntamente com o grupo de pesquisa do projeto CIVITAS, vinculado ao LELIC – Laboratório de Estudos em Linguagem, Interação e Cognição da UFRGS da Faculdade de Educação da UFRGS, para fazer o controle ecológico da cidade digital construída por crianças no jogo Città. A ideia é fazer com que a criança possa refletir sobre suas ações no ambiente do jogo, operando com os conhecimentos que está construindo sobre uma cidade sustentável e cooperativa, considerando aspectos ecológicos e ambientais de uma cidade que se quer colocar em equilíbrio. A população-alvo são crianças dos 4º e 5º anos do Ensino Fundamental, que fazem parte do projeto CIVITAS através do desenvolvimento de cidade virtuais utilizando materiais alternativos. Os resultados dos experimentos demonstraram que a análise das relações dialógicas sobre as interações das crianças e a análise desses dados envolvendo questões ligadas aos conceitos de Bakhtin, tais como produção de sentidos, enunciados e relações dialógicas, trazem contribuições significativas para a área de pesquisa.
The present thesis presents a research focused to the analysis of dialogical relationships produced in interactions of children with the affective pedagogical agent Maga Vitta in the digital game Città. The motivation for the development of this work is the possibility of making the relationship between the agent and the kids in the classroom more natural and more contextualized, checking in what manner this study can contribute to create dialogue mechanisms between the agent and the student aiming digital games in education, in the children’s school context. The present work is also related to the researches committed to the digital game Città, aiming the development and improvement of the educational environment, once it is constantly evolving. From the interaction of children with this digital game, we aim to solve the problem of research that is focused on verifying how these dialogical relationships of children with affective pedagogical agent occur in the game. For validation purposes of research it was implemented the agent, Maga Vitta, which was thought together with the research group of the CIVITAS project, linked to the laboratory of Studies on language, interaction and Cognition of UFRGS, of Education College at the UFRGS, to do the ecological control of the digital city built by children in the game Città. The idea is to make the children able to reflect on their actions in the game environment, operating with the knowledge that they are building on a sustainable and cooperative town, considering ecological and environmental aspects of a city that we wants to put in balance. The target population is children attending to 4th and 5th grades of elementary school, who make part of the CIVITAS project through the development of virtual cities using alternative materials. The results of the experiments have shown that the analysis of dialogic relations on children's interactions and the analysis of data involving issues related to the concepts of Bakhtin, such as production of meanings, utterances and dialogical relations, bring significant contributions to the search area.

Medielandskapet förändras ständigt. Medier konvergerar och den digitala utvecklingen innebär nya utmaningar för traditionella medier. Olika åsikter om huruvida public service ska finnas och hur de i så fall bör verka på sociala medier har gett upphov till en debatt i svensk press. Syftet med studien är att kartlägga argumenten från båda sidor, kommersiella medier och public service, samt analysera debatten genom en kritisk diskursanalys. Frågan som besvaras är “Hur ser diskursen kring SVT:s närvaro på digitala plattformar ut i ledande svenska dags- och kvällstidningar?”. Teoretiska verktyg inom kritisk diskursanalys som används är transitivitet, modalitet, antagonism och intertextualitet. De kompletteras med agenda-setting theory för att möjliggöra en fullständig analys. Resultatet visar att det genomgående finns flera teman i artiklarna som analyseras; finansieringen av public service, snedvriden konkurrens, public service kärnuppdrag samt hot mot demokratin, vilka handlar om något större än användningen av sociala medier. Studien visar att diskursordningarna, den kommersiella marknaden samt public service är under transformering, inbördes och även i relation med varandra. Arbetet bidrar till utökad kunskap om hur public service digitala närvaro framställs och problematiseras i svenska tidningar. Slutsatserna visar att beroende på vem som läser kan regelverket för public service uppdrag tolkas olika. Och att uppdragsbeskrivningen därmed bör förtydligas både för att klargöra uppdraget på digitala plattformar, och för att förhindra att regelverket kan tolkas på olika sätt.
The media landscape is ever-changing, different types of media are converging and a digital development is taking place, which is challenging for traditional media. Different opinions about how public service can and should operate in social media have caused an ongoing debate in Swedish press. The aim of this thesis is to identify arguments in the debate between commercial media actors and public service and to analyze the debate as a whole. A critical discourse analysis is carried out to answer the research question “What does the discourse regarding SVT’s presence on digital platforms look like in leading Swedish daily and evening newspapers? ”. The theoretical concepts within the critical discourse analysis, transitivity, modality, antagonism and intertextuality are used throughout the analysis and are also complemented by agenda-setting theory to reach conclusions. The results of the study suggest that there are several consistent themes of argumentation trans boundary from the use of social media. This includes themes such as financing of public service, unfair competition, mission and values of public service and even threats against the democracy. The study shows that both parties’ discourses are undergoing mutual transformations as well as towards each other. It contributes to knowledge of how public service actors’ presence on digital platforms is depicted and problematized in Swedish press. The result shows that depending on the reader, the legal framework regarding public service mission is interpreted in different ways. And that the framework lacks clear rules for online business and is in need of unequivocal guidelines.

Semejante esfuerzo ha tomado como referente los trabajos del historiador de las ideas Marc Angenot que en su obra El discurso social (2010) se fijó como objetivo interpretar toda la materia escrita en la Francia de 1889. La dimensión de producción de contenidos actual ha obligado a la extensión de los campos discursivos en los que observar la voz de una sociedad, desde medios masivos hasta medios sociales. Este cambio cuantitativo ha supuesto la aplicación de metodologías diversas desde modelos para el procesamiento de grandes volúmenes de textos hasta el análisis semio-discursivo de muestras significativas obtenidas computacionalmente. El resultado final tanto por las conclusiones obtenidas como por el trayecto realizado supone el intento de trasladar un concepto de límites extensos a un método definido y fructífero.
This research has proposed the understanding of the entire discursive flow of a society in a given time. Such effort has taken as reference the work of the historian of ideas Marc Angenot who in his work The social discourse (2010) intended to interpret all the written material in the France of 1889. The dimension of current content production has forced the extension of discursive fields in which to observe the voice of a society, from mass media to social media. This quantitative change has involved the application of diverse methodologies from models for the processing of large volumes of texts to the semio-discursive analysis of significant samples obtained computationally. The final result both by the conclusions obtained and by the path taken is the attempt to transfer a concept of extended limits to a concrete and fruitful method.

Además, de la desorganización que genera debido a que tienen información por todos los lados y es difícil poder llevar un control exacto al estar en diversas plataformas. Por estas razonas nace Red360, la cual consiste en la creación de una plataforma web moderna, interactiva y amigable para los agentes inmobiliarios certificados, donde se les brinda todas las soluciones digitales que les va a permitir conseguir mayores y mejores oportunidades de venta, eficiencia y eficacia en la gestión inmobiliaria, crecimiento profesional y todo bajo un sistema seguro y confiable. La validación se dividió en dos fases. La primera se enfocó en validar la existencia del problema y el interés de los agentes. En la segunda etapa, se validó la intención de compra por medio de reuniones comerciales y experimentos donde los usuarios hacían uso del servicio. De esta manera, consideramos que este proyecto tiene un gran potencial de crecimiento y esto se evidencia con nuestros resultados financieros y la aceptación del servicio.
Today, certified real estate agents need technological tools that enhance their day-to-day activities to achieve their goals faster and more consistently. This study investigates the digital lifeworlds of rural and urban 13- to 18-year old young people in an African, specifically Nigerian, context. Children and young people’s digital lifeworlds and practices with technology in the global North is well researched and documented. By contrast, research focusing on their counterparts, particularly pre-teens’ and teenagers’ digital practices and participation in Africa is still largely limited and exploratory; and the field underdeveloped. This is more so despite the important role played by digital communication technologies in children and young people’s everyday life. Privileging the use of a mixed methods approach, this study conducted 16 focus group discussions with 175 participants and a survey of 380 respondents in public and private schools sampled across two of Nigeria’s major geopolitical zones. Supported by the child-centred approach and the domestication framework by Silverstone, Hirsch and Morley (1992), the study provides a multi-layered portrait of the ways in which Nigerian teens access, understand, work and play with and negotiate the digital technologies that are available to them. The study also broadly pays attention to how young people constitute their digital lives and the role played by contextual dynamics and community networks such as family, school and others. It was found that young people in Nigeria have a considerable access to and are predominantly using mobile phones and the Internet (via the ‘mobile internet’). However, this did not preclude the divides and marginalities between children from dissimilar social backgrounds. Teens’ significant outcomes with technology mostly centre around the need for communication and interaction with friends first, and then family. They also primarily use technology to cultivate and maintain their peer culture, for self-care, dealing with mental wellbeing, and as a critical resource for education and information-seeking. Nigerian children’s digital practices are substantially shaped and at the same time undermined by various mediators or digital gatekeepers. These include parents, teachers, guardians and older adults who are presented mostly as prohibitors and moral panic mongers. Issues such as the absence of digital literacy and skill on the part of the children, their parents and teachers also limit the teens’ agency and digital opportunities and result in unchecked risks such as access to pornography, meeting online with strangers/online grooming, distractions, identity issues/negative role modelling. Moreover, the opportunities and benefits of technology in children’s lives remain precarious, stratified and complex. This study attempts to place children’s digital lifeworlds in its wider socio-spatial context and experience, contributing an important dimension to children’s digital practices, especially as there exists a resonant paucity of and apathy towards research and scholarship in children and media studies in Africa. Techno-shaming children into silence, fear, scepticism, guilt or moral panic is a common, but flawed strategy. Instead, it is suggested that government, schools and families should reconsider the precarious subjective-subordinate and marginalised position of young people and allow them the agency to contribute to decisions relating to their digital lives. Adult decision makers must focus on expanding Nigerian teens’ digital opportunities and rights. There is equally the need to develop resources that might help empower parents, families and adults by providing knowledge of the opportunities and risks of the digital age.

Background: Research in digital transformation has previously focused on understanding top management and operational roles but the role of middle management has rarely been examined. This despite several studies showing that the middle manager has a central role in change processes. A few studies have shed light on how the middle manager influence and contribute to digital transformation, however, there are few empirical studies that examine how the middle manager works to drive change in digital transformation. Purpose: The purpose of this study is to create a deeper understanding about middle management’s role in digital transformation.  Methodology: This is a qualitative case study of a company in household services. It is based on five semi-structured interviews and a literature review. The study has adopted an abductive approach. Conclusion: The study shows that the middle manager acts as a connecting link between management and operational level. The results show that middle managers drive change in digital transformation by identifying problems and business opportunities, initiating change, interpreting and translating management language for employees, promoting and raising ideas from the operational activities and following up and modifying change processes to achieve better results. They have the opportunity to do this because of their intermediate position in the organization.
Bakgrund: Forskningen inom digital transformation har tidigare fokuserat på att förstå lednings- och operativa roller, men till stor grad negligerat mellanchefsperspektivet. Detta trots att flera studier belyst att mellanchefen har en central roll i förändringsarbete. Ett fåtal studier har undersökt hur mellanchefen influerar och bidrar till digital transformation. Däremot finns det få empiriska studier som undersöker hur mellanchefen faktiskt arbetar för att driva förändring inom digital transformation. Syfte: Syftet med denna studie är att skapa djupare förståelse för mellanchefens roll i digital transformation. Genomförande: Detta är en kvalitativ fallstudie av ett företag inom hushållsnära tjänster. Den utgår från fem semistrukturerade intervjuer samt en litteratur genomgång. Studien har antagit en abduktiv ansats. Slutsats: Studien visar att mellanchefen fungerar som en förbindelselänk mellan ledning och operativ nivå. Resultaten visar att mellanchefer driver förändring i digital transformation genom att identifiera problem och affärsmöjligheter, initiera förändring, tolka och översätta ledningens språk för medarbetare, främja och lyfta idéer från den operativa verksamheten och följer upp och modifierar förändringsprocesser för att uppnå bättre resultat. De har möjligheten att göra detta på grund av deras mellanliggande position i organisationen.

This dissertation investigates meaning-making in children's joint-reading transactions with literary apps. The analysis of meaning-making focuses on embodiment as a central aspect of literary app's texts and their reading and on children's negotiation of agency in the act of joint-reading. Meaning-making is understood through a multimodal social semiotics perspective, which considers that meaning is realised in the dynamic transaction between reader, text and social context. Therefore, the dissertation integrates the analysis of the apps and of the children's responses to capture the dynamics of meaning-making in such transactions. Case studies were conducted with six families, who read the apps The Monster at the End of This Book (Stone & Smollin, 2011) and Little Red Riding Hood (Nosy Crow, 2013) in an English public library. The central method of data collection involved video-recorded observations of parent-child joint-reading events, complemented by graphic elicitation, informal interviews and a questionnaire. The video data was analysed through multimodal methods. The findings indicate that the participant readers used their bodies not only as a material point of contact and activation of the interactive features but also as a resource for meaning-making in their transactions with the apps. The reader's body was essential in their engagement with the material and interactive affordances of the apps, in reader's expressions of their responses, and in the sharing of the reading experience with the parents. The body of the reader, through spontaneous and interactive gestures, is a mode of communication in the multimodal ecologies of both the text and the reader's responses. Furthermore, the child readers constantly negotiated their agency within the constraints posed by the text, which include the narrative itself and its interactive features, and those posed by the joint-reading situation. The bodies of the readers played an essential role in this dual negotiation of agency. Children's agency was scripted, that is, the readers exerted their agency within the limitations of a script. The script, however, allowed readers to improvise, and their performances also involved resistance to the script through playful subversion. In the joint-reading event, children's agency was foregrounded, positioning the children as protagonist readers, who performed most of the interactions and lived the aesthetic experience of the text fully, to the expense of their parents, who mostly participated as supporting readers, transferring their agency to the children through scaffolding.

Digital fabrication technologies such as 3D printers entail a radical change to the traditional consumer-producer paradigm. Combined with other recent developments, self-styled Makers design and fabricate sophisticated devices and interactive technologies that would otherwise never have existed. However, stopping the uninitiated novice from making use of this potential is complex CAD software, and a high barrier to entry. In this study a series of workshops explore the potential of combining traditional handicraft materials – such as clay, paper and fabric – with 3D scanning to enable novices to work with 3D printers. Based on the results a set of instruction were created detailing the process of making three types of practical objects, covering the entire process from the making and subsequent 3D scanning of a physical object, to the software clean-up and final 3D printing. The results suggest that whilst the explored method can enable novices to create 3D printable models, a certain mindset is required for the novice to do so effectively.

Com essas influências, o projeto Playing for Change realiza, desde 2002, produções musicais colaborativas a partir de tecnologias audiovisuais móveis. Essa dissertação apresenta, a partir da interdisciplinaridade entre música, tecnologia móveis e audiovisual, um estudo de cinco clipes produzidos pelo projeto Playing for Change, o que possibilidade a produção, de caráter experimental, de um videoclipe experimentando o smartphone como agente contribuinte da produção de conteúdo autoral. E por fim, o trabalho contribui com os métodos para futuras produções seguindo os mesmos moldes propostos pelo projeto inicial analisado, o Playing for Change.
Abstract: Mobile culture is a feature of contemporary society (AUGÉ, 2008), and this increasingly contaminates cultural, artistic and media activities. With these influences, since 2002, the Playing for Change project has been producing collaborative musical productions using mobile audiovisual technologies. This dissertation presents, from the interdisciplinarity between music, mobile and audiovisual technology, a study of five clips produced by the Playing for Change project, which allows the experimental production of a video clip experimenting the smartphone as a contributing agent of the production of content. And finally, the work contributes to the methods for future productions following the same molds proposed by the initial project analyzed, Playing for Change.

The master thesis focuses on description of the market of digital advertising agencies that create digital, online and mobile campaigns for their clients. The first part of the thesis addresses the advertising market and its role in the marketing mix. The author gives the summary of the evolution of digital marketing and its tools in the digital and creative procedure of preparing advertising concept. One of the chapters presents changes in media spends towards online and changes of marketing budgets of advertisers. The empirical part describes the Czech digital advertising market, exclusion of digital agencies from the field of classical full service agencies. The empirical part also focuses on global trends in digital agencies and digital marketing and emphasizes how those trends affected the Czech advertising market. The author also gives a description of the workflow in digital agency and covers tools and solutions that are usually used in digital campaign. The empirical part shows examples of business strategy of Nydrle Digital that led the agency to the top of the market. The part is based on internal documents from the company and on interviews with the management of the agency. This research is an effort to test our hypothesis that a software agent based architecture will provide a better response time and will be more maintainable and reusable than the present J2EE based architecture of DLNET (Digital Library Network for Engineering and Technology). We have taken a portion of the complete DLNET application for our study, namely the Content Review Process, as our test bed. In this work, we have explored the use of software agents in the current setup of DLNET for the first time, specifically for the Content Review part of the application and tried to evaluate the performance of the resulting application. Our work is a novel approach of doing content review using software agent architecture. The proposed system is an automated process that will asynchronously look for suitable reviewers based on content (the input) and create logs for the administrator to view and analyze. In the first part of the thesis we develop a new system that is parallel to the existing DLNET Content Review Process. In the second part, we compare the newly developed Content Review Process with the baseline (old Content review Process) by designing comparison tests and measuring instruments. This part of the thesis includes the selection of dependent variables, design of various measurement instruments, execution of the quasi-experiments and analysis of the empirical results of comparisons tests. The quasi-experiments are done to measure the response time, maintainability, scalability, correctness, reliability and reusability of the two systems. The results show that the proposed software agent based system gives better response time (an improvement ranging from 57% to 82%) and is more maintainable (an improvement ranging from 16% to 67%) and more reusable (an improvement ranging from 1% to 26%). The improvement in the response time may be attributed to the fact that the agent based systems are inherently multithreaded while the existing content review system is a serial application. Both the systems, however, give comparable results for other dependent variables.

Vi har sedan sammanställt detta i SPSS för att ge oss en blick över det insamlade materialet och möjlighet att få fram statistik på de inlägg som görs. Vi har samlat inlägg om den ubåtsjakt som försvarsmakten gjorde i oktober 2014 samt den skandal som drabbade SCA där de ovarsamt har hanterat företagets ekonomiska resurser.   Resultat I det insamlade materialet kan vi se att det är media som via de artiklar man publicerar sätter agendan för den bild av organistionernas kriser som kommer spridas i sociala medier. En majoritet av de inlägg som görs är artiklar som allmänheten delar vidare via sina egna sociala medier. Vi kan också se att det är organisationen som får ta en stor del av smällen i de inlägg som görs. Allmänheten skuldbelägger organisationen för det inträffade i nästan hälften av de insamlade inläggen. I de övriga skuldbelägger man antingen en tredje part eller en enskild individ beroende på vilken typ av kris det handlar om och hur bakgrunden till det inträffade ser ut.   De inlägg som görs om det inträffade är främst negativt vinklade och endast ett fåtal inlägg har en positiv vinkel i förhållande till det inträffade. De inlägg som görs får även en näst intill obefintlig spridning i form av likes, kommentarer och delningar. Majoriteten får under 10 likes, kommentarer eller delningar. Det finns alltså inget som tyder på att någon typ av inlägg i det insamlade materialet blir virala.

Abstract:
This dissertation proposes a new film theory that embraces a philosophy of technology. It argues that, while digital culture efficiently combines functions (i.e. of phone and camera), this novelty has been given undue attention - for example in theories that celebrate remediation and convergence. Research shows that mobile phone and internet use gives rise to changes in how we think about our relation to space and time. I argue that these, along with notions of status and identity, are affected when technology mediates interaction. Extending McLuhan's prediction about instability in these phenomena, I propose that changes in perceptions of space, time and identity are key conceptual markers, which operate in a framework of 'affect'. Defined as an intense 'immersion' in automated functions, the space of affect has a media history in which the moving image is central. I explore a willingness to interact with the moving image apparatus by users in production or consumption frameworks. In contrast to a sadistic model of consumer immersion in film narrative that draws on psychoanalysis, I argue that a masochistic motive operates in the space of affect. Applying Gilles Deleuze's notion of an "abstract assemblage of desire" and drawing on concepts proposed by Actor Network Theory, discussion of examples of affective interaction are shown to prefigure the immersion seen in users of games and the internet. Submission to hybrid agency in the moving picture apparatus ranged from the pre-studio picture personality through the classical Hollywood period to the games avatar. By mobilising the raw material of identity and masochistic desire in the pre-studio picture personality, users of the apparatus employed the arrangements afforded by technology to form a prosthetic bond. The result was the star system, an assemblage of desire that metamorphosed the birth of moving images into an 'affective' hybrid agency extending outside the cinema. This dissertation argues that mechanisms of the birth and metamorphosis of moving images may be adapted to an understanding of digital culture in a continuum of conceptual change.

Abstract:
This study aims to understand how games teach the player how to enact agency within them. Agency refers to the ability of the player to actively interact with the world around them, and understand the circumstances and results of those actions. Three games of the shooter sub-genre were selected: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (2019), Cuphead, and Red Dead Redemption 2. These were chosen as they are modern representations of three of the most popular genres within the shooter mantle: First-Person Shooter, Run and Gun, and Third-Person Shooter, respectively. Each game’s first level was analyzed to see how they introduce the selected definition of agency. Each element that was found to convey agency was categorized according to it being diegetic (existing within the story) or non-diegetic (existing outside the story), explicit or implicit, and by the level of agency play it represented, these being Agency Relationship (the relationship between the user agency and system agency), Agency Scope (the impact the player’s actions will have on the narrative), Agency Dynamics (changes in agency through time, or more accurately, in different circumstances) and User Input Direction (what controls can be pressed to perform certain direct actions). These elements and their respective categories have been represented in a cell document, followed by which categories they belong to. Furthermore, for each game, the categories and which elements represent them are displayed as well, for a more identifiable examination of each category’s representation in each game, and to allow for comparison between them. Each level was described in accordance with the elements that conveyed agency, in their order of appearance. The elements or instances were described, and what categories they belong to were noted as well. In addition, explanations for why they belong to those specific categories were expressed if necessary. Conclusively, the games were shown to contain certain similarities among them, such as agency relationship being conveyed through the positioning of certain elements in connection to their environment and the player. However, the differences between the games were more prominent than their similarities. With each game having a particularly noticeable way in which they presented a great deal of the elements. In Modern Warfare, the game tried to use as few non-diegetic and as many diegetic elements as possible. In Cuphead, the game presented agency exclusively through enemy and object placement in relation to the level to teach the player about how certain mechanics functioned. And in Red Dead Redemption 2, the game tries to teach the player about game mechanics by juxtaposing the narrative, non-diegetic explanations, and diegetic instances, to accustom players to a fusion of elements trying to communicate the same message.
