Abstract:
Digitalization has profoundly influenced cultural practices, reshaping their preservation, transformation, and authenticity. This study explores how digital technologies facilitate the documentation and sharing of cultural heritage globally. Historically, cultural practices relied on physical artifacts and oral traditions, limiting their reach. The advent of digital platforms has preserved endangered traditions and enhanced accessibility for diverse audiences. Digitalization presents the challenges of cultural coherence and the potential loss of authenticity. Using qualitative research and document analysis, the study investigates digitalization’s impact on traditional values, focusing on cultural shifts in virtual platforms, intergenerational communication, and societal norms. Findings reveal that while digital tools democratize cultural access and preservation, they also risk diluting unique traditions and fostering inequalities. Recommendations emphasize balanced approaches to integrating technology while safeguarding cultural diversity. This research contributes to understanding digitalization's transformative effects, offering insights for researchers, educators, and cultural preservationists.

Abstract:
In the digital transformation era, digitalization integrates deeply into production, bolstering output efficiency and economic value. Through stochastic frontier analysis (SFA), this research positions digitalization as an input in the production function, dissecting its elasticity impact on capital, labor, and output. The effect of digitalization on total factor productivity change (TFPC) is explained by comparing TFPC with and without digitalization. Findings reveal that digitalization’s integration into economic growth displays a U-shaped trajectory, with initial productivity setbacks transitioning to long-term benefits as industries adapt. The periodic complementarity and substitution between digitalization and labor, along with a weak substitution relationship with capital, illustrate that, as a production factor, digitalization dynamically interacts with other factors, both complementing and substituting them. This dynamic interplay highlights the intricate role that digitalization plays within the production function. Furthermore, digitalization has played a crucial role in China’s TFP growth, which also highlights the lack of other technological progress. Meanwhile, the pace of digital transformation presents scalability challenges, evident in the fluctuating scale efficiency change (SEC). Policymakers are advised to address these early stage challenges through supportive measures, ensuring smoother digital transitions. Concurrently, industries should embrace this non-linear transformation, emphasizing adaptability to maximize digitalization’s long-term advantages.

Abstract:
The digitalization of processes in healthcare sector firms is expected to reduce costs, improve the quality of healthcare service, customer care experience, and patient safety, and attain efficiency and efficacy in project implementation. This research investigates the impact of digitalization on the financial performance of healthcare-sector firms in the European Union. The study also examines whether a firm’s intellectual capital efficiency mediates the process of digitalization’s impact on a firm’s financial performance. Using a sample of 965 firm observations from 2017 to 2021, we find that digitalization positively affects financial performance. Further analysis suggests that capital-employed efficiency fully mediates the relationship between digitalization and firm performance. Partial mediation is also reported for intellectual capital efficiency, human capital efficiency, and structural capital efficiency in the process of digitalization impacting firm performance. These findings provide fresh insight into how digitalization impacts a firm’s financial performance, establishing intellectual capital efficiency as a mediating mechanism that may explain this impact.

Abstract:
Digitalization processes affect all levels and spheres of human activities, from personal communications to public events. The widespread implementation of digital technologies has an ambiguous effect on the personal, social, and economic paths of modern society’s development. At the moment, there is no single approach to the estimation of digitalization’s impact, particularly on the financial and economic properties of a company. The objective of this study was to create multiple models for the assessment of digitalization’s impact on company performance. To accomplish this objective, the following steps were performed: conducting a literature survey on the experience with digital technologies’ implementation; selecting the most appropriate mathematical tools for correlation and regression analyses; determining a functional relationship between the factors and consequences of digitalization in terms of companies’ performance; identifying digitalization factors, risks, and their impact on the financial sustainability of companies; and creating a multiple regression model of the functional relationship between digitalization factors and the financial sustainability of companies. In the course of the study, a correlation analysis of the dependence of companies’ financial sustainability on a number of digitalization factors has been conducted, and different ways of using company performance data as effective features and predictive factors are offered. The article includes sampling data on the parameterization and quality evaluation of multiple regression models. The validity of the multiple models suggested was tested with actual statistical data obtained from 16 Russian companies. The application of the multiple regression model was devised to estimate digitalization’s impact on companies’ performance, and their financial sustainability can be seen as the most important practical implication of this study.

Abstract:
Digitalization can increase resource and energy productivities. However, the production and usage of information and communication technologies (ICTs) require materials and energy, and the application of ICTs fosters economic growth. This paper examines whether digitalization helps or hinders an absolute decoupling of environmental throughput from economic growth. The paper combines the literature on “green IT” and “ICT for green” with studies on decoupling, i.e., the relationship between economic growth, technological change, and environmental throughput. The paper identifies several strains of the decoupling debate and connects them to the environmental implications of digitalization. We focus on the relation between digitalization and (1) the question of finite non-renewable energies, (2) the environmental Kuznets curve, (3) the role of energy consumption for economic growth, (4) efficiency improvements vis-à-vis rebound effects, and (5) the role of general purpose technologies for resource and energy demand. We find that the empirical basis regarding digitalization’s relation to these four aspects is still weak and hence, further research is needed. Comparing the mitigating and the aggravating impacts of digitalization, we conclude that a more active political and societal shaping of the process of digitalization is needed to make ICT work for global environmental sustainability.

Abstract:
The integration of digitalization and servitization has become a significant trend in transforming the manufacturing industry due to digital intelligence technology. This paper examines the impact of the integration of digitalization and servitization on the performance of manufacturing companies and how small-scale enterprises can promote digital transformation leading to servitization. The study involved surveying 331 manufacturing companies in China using a seven-point Likert scale questionnaire. Measurement scales were validated using confirmatory factor analysis and discriminant validity tests. Mediation analysis assessed digitalization’s impact on servitization and firm performance. The study’s findings emphasize the significant impact of digitalization and servitization on enterprises’ performance. Digitalization plays a crucial role in mediating this relationship. The study highlights three critical dimensions of digital variables, including digital technology, digital labor, and digital relationship resources, essential in enabling effective servitization. Manufacturing enterprises generally prefer aligning their technology investments and organizational changes within the digitalization framework to implement servitization successfully. The study suggests two integration strategies, namely conservative and aggressive. The finding emphasizes that the convergence of digitalization and servitization leads to a new manufacturing production mode called digital servitization.

Abstract:
The COVID-19 outbreak and subsequent pandemic have expedited the development of resilient supply chains. Digitization is increasingly acknowledged as a facilitative approach toward achieving that target. Researchers commonly acknowledge the necessity for more empirical studies to explore digitalization's potential to improve supply chain resilience and efficiency in unstable circumstances. This study proposes a theoretical framework that explains the influence of supply chain digitalization on the resilience of supply chains and performance. The proposed relationships were confirmed through a survey conducted with 315 construction companies in Pakistan. The findings provide insights into how digitization and supply chain resilience can enhance the efficiency of supply chain performance. Furthermore, the findings confirm resilience's partial positive mediating role in the relationship between digitalization and supply chain performance. Supply chain digitalization can enhance cost-effectiveness, information, communication efficiency, and supply chain resilience, improving performance during crises. This study contributes to the existing research on supply chain digitalization and resilience by using dynamic capability to establish their association. The research findings offer valuable insights for companies to enhance supply chain resilience through digitalization.

Abstract:
As today’s world is becoming more digital, so is almost all business markets are becoming more and more digital and companies that choose to digitalize seem to not only increase efficiency and profitability. It also makes the company better at adapting to change. Despite these upsides, not all companies are digitalizing proven in some part by the panic among companies created by the Covid-19 pandemic. This study aims to look at if the categorist of management in companies can influence the company's ability to digitalize. This is done by measuring the dynamic capabilities and the entrepreneurial orientation in management and comparing it to the company’s digital maturity. The data was quantitatively by having managers in Sweden completes a survey. A theoretical framework is created to formulate the major theories of the study and relevant hypotheses. To analyze the collected data the multiple regression analysis method was used to see if the variables that any statistical relationship and if the variables have statistical relevance. The results showed that entrepreneurial orientation dint does not have any statistical relevance however dynamic capabilities had a statistical relevance and quite a big effect on the digital maturity of the company. However, a bigger sample for the questioner is suspected to show that entrepreneurial orientation could have had statistical relevance as the sample group for this study was quite small. This study has helpt to fill the gap in knowledge on how management characteristics affect digitalization in companies. The author of this study recommends future research teams conduct more quantitative approaches to get a better picture of how management affects digitalization, by looking at other categorists in management, the important part is that they use a bigger sample size.

Abstract:
There are a lot of different discharge regulations that ships have to follow but there is no general way to collect this information for the cruise ship companies. One company, Holland American Group, have created a matrix where they have stored all information regarding dispatch regulations, which they collect manually. As regulations have become stricter and more specific for different areas at sea it has caused the matrix to grow vastly, making working with the matrix tedious. The project aims to investigate how the information in the matrix is presented to the user. The ambition is to find alternative ways to work with the matrix to improve efficiency in order to reduce the time it takes to work with it. While also being able to create dispatch schedules for itineraries which prevent non-compliant discharges from the vessels. The problem is to present information in a different manor, today the information lays inside an Excel spreadsheet which has grown significantly and is therefore no longer manageable in its present format. A solution, to create a planning tool which assists crew members who work with planning each itinerary’s dispatches, has been suggested. Two different designs are presented, one with inspiration from apps and another inspired by traditional computer programs. The work process and solutions are based on concepts and theories from large industrial systems and sustainability as the main perspective. Therefore, the solutions are motivated with methods commonly used in creating, developing and maintaining industrial production with the aim to create a new sustainable system from such perspective.

Abstract:
Digital Tranformation is a fundamental concept that should be studied in order to comprehend better how companies work and adapt to change and how consumers react and behave. Digital Era is characterized by innovation, growth, fast development and disruption. Companies that want to remain competitive and survive must be able to adapt to the digital world and also stimulate innovation itself. For some companies, it is easier to embrace digitalization and digital transformation, but for others it is more challenging. This paper aims to investigate the barriers to digital transformation and to understand what drives the adoption of it by Italian firms in the Fashion field. In particular, we will focus on the use of E- commerce and Social Media. They represent an important issue that needs to be explored in today’s business world. It allows companies to connect in a new way with customers and to gain a more competitive advantage. Most researches focus on them from the consumer’s perspective, there are very little empirical studies that consider this argument analyzing the firm’s point of view. The purpose of this paper is thus to review the academic literature on factors that drive the adoption of E-commerce and Social Media by Italian firms in the fashion field and examine if the use of Social Media Marketing (SMM) and e-commerce affect in a positive way firms ‘performances. This research will try to answer these key questions: (1) What is the Impact of Digital Transformation on company’s performances? (2) What are the barriers to Digital Transformation? (3) What are digital networking capabilities and how can firms develop them? (4) What are the factors that drive Italian firms to adopt e-commerce and social media and what are the benefits by using these tools?

Abstract:
Abstract Background – The existing literature on digitalization in the food industry is limited. Meanwhile, the literature suggests that digitalization is an issue that is unavoidable at some point in all industries and that companies must adapt in order to maintain their competitive position. In the food industry, large investments into digital projects are currently focusing on e-commerce, even though it merely stands for 2% of the sales. It could, therefore, be seen as digitalization is only about to start affecting the food industry and thus, exploring how it has affected and what it might mean for the actors in the industry is interesting.   Purpose – The purpose of this thesis is to explore how digitalization affects the food industry in Sweden. The purpose is fulfilled through the answering of two research questions; How is digitalization viewed upon in the food industry in Sweden? And How does the digitalization affect the food industry in Sweden? Through the fulfilment of the purpose, this thesis helps to fill a gap in the existing literature about the subject.   Method – The study is a qualitative study of digitalization in the food industry and includes insights from 13 individuals working in the food industry in Sweden. As the subject does not have any existing theories and there is limited literature on the subject, the study uses an inductive approach where the data is analysed through a thematic analysis in order to be able to derive a conclusion about the subject.   Findings – When concluding this study, it was found that the food industry is lagging behind other industries in terms of digitalization, which in the food industry is closely connected to e-commerce for many. There are several enormous challenges that the industry is facing, and one of the most significant challenges and also a resistance to digitalization in the food industry is profitability. This means that the industry actors have a hard time maintaining profitability when implementing digital solutions, mainly e-commerce solutions. Opportunities are present to solve the challenges of mainly; deliveries and thus finding a solution to the profitability issue.

Ukraine's digital development plays an important role in accelerating the country's economic and social development, directing its economic and innovation potential to competitiveness in the international arena and increasing the efficiency of Ukrainian industry. The goal of digitalization of Ukraine is the digital improvement of existing and creation of new sectors of the economy, the transformation of all spheres of life in Ukraine into new, more efficient and modern. There are a number of problems that hinder the development of digital trends in Ukraine and the transformation of the Ukrainian economy into a digital one. It should be emphasized that Ukraine, having a significant human IT potential, works below its digital capabilities. The measures provided by the adopted concepts lay the foundations of the digital transformation aimed at digitizing business processes. However, accelerated digitization, in parallel with the transformation of business models, can add multimillion-dollar revenues to economic growth, additional international investment and increased international competitiveness.

Abstract:
Since early times the civilization used to record and store their information about accumulated knowledge, everyday life necessities and other important things. Starting with clay tablets, stones and paper as a more advanced technology followed. Since that moment this trend made its way through centuries until nowadays, with new technological capabilities resulting in the form of digitalization. The paper discusses nuances of the terms, such as digitization, digitalization and digital transformation in scientific literature. The study is backed by discussion about digitalization's popularity, its impact and importance in our society as an irreversible process. The report provides a general insight into the motivation of researchers to conduct research on digitalization in various scientific fields. A historical overview of digitalization phenomena continues in two most popular databases (SCOPUS, Web of Science) insight, which is accompanied by statistical data about the evolving popularity of digitalization terms. Statistical methods were used to analyse data from different angles, including years, countries, languages and science sections, where digitalization terms are the central motive of research. Since first being mentioned in 1922 and a century later, in 2023, digitization terms have grown dramatically in popularity in scientific databases. In the Scopus database, the number of digitalization terms was less than 1000 by 2003, with the next doubling in volume occurring 9 years later in 2012. The next doubling took less than 5 years and it happened in 2017, and again the next one only two years later - in 2019. And already in 2023, it exceeded 21,000, which is a 1929% increase compared with 2003, which shows a genuine interest in the importance of the research into the given topic in modern scientific thought.

Abstract:
Digitalisation is transforming companies and other organisations more fundamentally than the business world has ever seen. The accounting profession is such a field where digital transformations take its tool. When the historical process of accounting is looked at, it is seen that there are revolutionary turning points such as development of double-entry bookkeeping method, uniform accounting system and international accounting standards practices, and use of computer software in accounting. Technology has initiated a radical transformation process by enabling the transfer of accounting to the digital platform. A very important feature of our age is certainly the accelerated evolution of the technological field, characterized by an avalanche of optimal solutions (computer programs) for economic activity. It is difficult to imagine areas such as accounting, marketing or other analysis and evaluation activities without digital tools. The advantages of this software include: fast accessibility, detailed presentation of information and accuracy of errors. In addition to the benefits, there are low accounting costs and time required to complete a task it's faster. One of the challenges for young accountants is artificial intelligence. Another major challenge is cyber security, which needs to be integrated into an entity's decision-making processes. In this article, we aim to describing digitalization impact on the field of management accounting and control.

Abstract:
The realities of digitalization require changes in strategies for choosing educational technologies. The modern educational process is not possible without the use of digital technologies. Digital technologies have led to the arising and development of blended learning. However, its effectiveness is determined not only by technology. The human factor receives special attention in this direction. Analysis of the World Development Report 2016: Digital Dividends allows us to identify digital competence as a necessary condition for the successful use of digital technologies, and hence blended learning. Learning interactions designing in the process of implementing blended learning requires timely diagnosis of the level of digital competence. A popular tool for this is the Digital Competence Framework for Citizens. To clarify the peculiarities of its use was made an analysis of the experimental implementation results of blended learning in the industrial training in sewing for intended masters. During the research, it was revealed that the most important digital competence areas for the variable learning establishment in the training of future professionals are Information and data literacy, Communication and collaboration and Problem solving. In addition, competence for area Problem solving conduce to increase the level of competence for all other areas. The level of digital competence of the subjects mainly coincide to the characteristics of basic and secondary levels. The obtained data clarified the reasons for the difficulties, decrease motivation and cognitive activity that occur among students using distance courses-resources learning designed for blended learning. Thus, the use of the Digital Competence Framework for Citizens at the initial stage of implementing blended learning can make a rational choice of strategies for combining face-to-face and distance learning technologies.

Abstract:
This paper uses household data from the People’s Republic of China to examine how digitalization affects income inequality. The findings indicate that digitalization significantly reduces income inequality, particularly in less-developed areas and among less-educated households. Digitalization narrows the income gap by increasing earnings more for lower-income households through improved employment and investment opportunities. It also boosts business income for entrepreneurial households. These results suggest that promoting digitalization can help reduce income inequality in developing economies.
