Abstract:

The aim of this study was to obtain a deeper understanding how social workers, who practice public authority in social services, perceive that social services are affected when it takes place in an increasingly digital arena. Uppsatsen har syftat till att undersöka socialsekreterares upplevelser och erfarenheter med digitalisering inom försörjningsstöd. Sju socialsekreterare som arbetar med försörjningsstöd i sju olika kommuner har deltagit i kvalitativa intervjuer. Empirin från intervjuerna har analyserats utifrån de teoretiska perspektiven McDonalidisering, domänteori samt nyinstitutionalism. Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka socialsekreterares upplevelser av hur digitaliseringen har förändrat arbetet inom ekonomiskt bistånd. I studien genomfördes fem kvalitativa intervjuer med socialsekreterare från samma kommun där verksamheten nyligen genomgått en digitaliseringsprocess.
