Abstract:
The purpose of the article is to present the evolution of television networкs and services and streaming them through analogue TV to full digitalization to the introduction of IP technology and advanced smart smart equipment. The networкs of cable TV operators are being transformed into triple play networкs, кnown as triple play. In addition to standard television, they also carry telephony and the Internet. As a result, it can be considered that the equipment converges and becomes more intelligent and highly functional. To date, networкs are switching to the IP core and offering high-speed and broadband IP services. Television is undergoing its metamorphosis and is being transformed to IPTV - (Internet Protocol TeleVision). The authors' contributions are related to the analysis of the main components and processes for the acquisition and processing of television content in IPTV.

Abstract:
This study investigated the use of cable TV to increase listening comprehension of the students of English education department of Muria Kudus University. The aims were to find out: (1) the listening comprehension achievement of the students taught by using cable TV, (2) the students’ response towards the teaching of listening comprehension class by using cable TV, and (3) the students’ difficulties when being involved in the listening class taught by using cable TV are. A classroom action research was conducted with three cycles. The data was collected by using test, observation checklist, & a questionnaire. The subject consisted of 29 students joining Advanced Listening class. The findings show that: (a) The listening comprehension achievement of the students taught by using cable TV in cycle I, II, & III is fair, (b) The students have enthusiasm and seriousness and motivation in joining the class in all cycles, (c) In cycle III the students’ difficulties when being involved in the listening comprehension class taught by using cable TV are more and more decreasing. Abstract:
This paper explores the nature and potential of the convergence between cloud computing and cable TV. The paper begins by discussing the fundamental issues and challenges in traditional cable TV and then focuses on opportunities and possibilities in relation to the overlap between cable TV and cloud computing. In addition, this study compares the situation before and after this convergence occurs and examines the related value chain. A descriptive case study related to Google TV is also conducted to gain a better understanding of the convergence between traditional cable activities and the relatively new and unexplored area of cloud computing.

Abstract:
The basic structure of Cable Digital TV Head-end System is presented in this paper. Cable Digital TV Head-end connected between the TV Signal Source and the Transmission Line is a system which can convert a variety of signal sources into a transport stream to meet the exacting standards of the transmission. The transport streams will finally be sent to service terminal by the transmitting device and the existing network. This paper gives the method of constructing Cable Digital TV Head-end System and some useful suggestions about the selection of equipment.

Abstract:
This research was conducted at Samarinda City, East Kalimantan Province, Indonesia. This study aims to determine the regulation and legal liability of cable TV business operators who establish businesses in public facilities in Samarinda City. The method that used in this research is a normative legal method that is studying document studies, using various legal materials such as statutory regulations, non-legal materials and in the form of opinions from scholars. The legal material in this study is sourced from primary legal materials, secondary legal materials, and non-legal materials. From the results of this study it can be concluded that the legal arrangements for businesses that set up cable TV businesses in public facilities in Samarinda City are contained in Law No.30 of 2009 concerning Electricity Article 48 Paragraph (1). The legal responsibility of cable TV business operators who establish businesses in public facilities in Samarinda against the Samarinda city government is that if an adverse incident occurs that results in pollution and / or environmental damage is considered an illegal act. To overcome various legal issues regarding cable TV business operators, the Samarinda City Regional Government should make a regional regulation specifically regulating the supervision of Cable TV business licensing in Samarinda City because with the regional regulation it is expected to minimize the number of violations of the law, and should Cable TV business operators no longer use electricity network supporting poles which are public facilities owned by the city government, it is far better if cable cable business operators are planted on the ground level, so as to minimize the existence of electrical zippers, fires due to short electrical current and do not disturb the aesthetic of this city.

Abstract:
Progress The development of information technology (IT) is increasingly rapid both for the use of software (software) and hardware (hardware) which is increasingly easy to use (user friendly) to help learning all the users of information technology. In the world of education or everyday life everyone needs to get entertainment or reference that must be used to be a reference so that they are not bored and bored after a day of tired activities. One of them can be done by watching through the internet network television media or TV (Cable) subscription TV. This cable TV management information system is designed using a web-based prototyping method involving the PHP (PHP Hypertext Preprocessor) programming language based on the code -iter, JavaScript, Jquery framework. While the database used is MYSQL. In system design is involved Use Case, Activity Diagram, Context Diagram, Flowmap, Sequence Diagram and ERD. This system also uses aliases on its addressing by applying htaccess to the actual file address as one of the security systems. . This information system involves six admin users, customers, leaders, finance, officers and marketing. The six levels of registered users have a private account to be able to enter the system ie username and password with MD5 encryption. Because it is web-based, this cable TV application has the ability, can be accessed anywhere, admin can do add, edit, delete and store customer data and customer transaction data, and can print reports.

Abstract:
We measure the welfare distortions from endogenous quality choice in imperfectly competitive markets. For US cable television markets between 1997–2006, prices are 33 percent to 74 percent higher and qualities 23 percent to 55 percent higher than socially optimal. Such quality overprovision contradicts classic results in the literature and our analysis shows that it results from the presence of competition from high-end satellite TV providers: without the competitive pressure from satellite companies, cable TV monopolists would instead engage in quality degradation. For welfare, quality overprovision implies cable customers would prefer smaller, lower-quality cable bundles at a lower price, amounting to a twofold increase in consumer surplus for the average consumer.
