Abstract:

Abstract:
Eva Tanguay (1878–1947), although little known today, was one of the most famous and wealthy actresses in America in the first three decades of the twentieth century. Tanguay’s vaudeville success was built on her playing a wild, racialized, highly sexed, financially and socially emancipated woman, who was nonetheless affectionate and warm. Scholarship to date has considered how Tanguay used the offensive stereotype of the ‘Coon’ associated with African Americans to achieve her huge commercial success, but less attention has been paid to how she used the symbolism and materiality of her costume

In september 2018, the DIME portal was officially launched to facilitate the user driven recording of metal detector finds produced by members of the public. The concrete and operational aim of DIME is to provide a portal for the registering and hence safeguarding of the increasing number of metal detector finds and to make them accessible for the general public and for research. The more overarching vision behind the DIME project is to realise the potential of recreational metal detecting as a medium to implement an inclusive and democratic approach to heritage management in Denmark and to ad

Abstract:
The aim of this article is to reflect on the role of Kurdish collective memory in the diaspora as it affirms Kurdishness and rejects the Turkish state’s hegemonic histories. Where can Kurdish families go to recognise their own heritage, reflect on their socio-cultural journeys, share experiences, or validate familial memories? Non-elite diaspora Kurds are asked to curate exhibits for an imagined Kurdish museum. The exhibit proposals explore how ideas and beliefs shape diasporic representations of Kurdishness and why the (in)visibility of Kurdish diaspora communities remains a pressing concern.

Abstract:
Abstract Lead in archive environment suffers from severe corrosion attack caused by the organic acids’ vapours usually presented in such an environment. One of possible ways of corrosion protection of lead is its surface treatment by solutions of sodium salts of monocarboxylic acids (general formula CH3(CH2)n-2COONa, noted NaCn, n = 10, 11, 12). The principle of this corrosion protection is a creation of conversion coating on the lead’s surface, which decreases corrosion rate of lead in the atmospheric environment polluted by organic acids’ vapour. Our research aims at the selection of a suita

No todos los fósiles son patrimonio geológico de tipo paleontológico, puesto que es necesario aplicar una metodología de valoración para evaluar si un yacimien
