Abstract:
140 Background: Randomized trials have shown improved biochemical disease free survival after adjuvant radiotherapy (ART) in patients with pT3 or margin positive disease after radical prostatectomy for prostate cancer. This study examines the rates of referral to a radiation oncologist for patients with high risk pathologic features after prostatectomy. Also, the impact of the presentation of these randomized trials will be examined. Methods: All men diagnosed in the province of Manitoba with prostate adenocarcinoma between 2003 and 2008 who underwent radical prostatectomy were identified through a central cancer registry database. Manual chart review was performed and detailed demographic and clinico-pathologic data were analyzed to determine their influence on referral to a radiation oncologist within 6 months of surgery. Analysis of referral rates before and after the presentation of 2 randomized trials were also examined. Results: A total of 1080 patient records of men undergoing prostatectomy for prostate cancer were reviewed. Of these, 546 (50.6%) men had at least one high risk pathologic feature. This includes pT2 margin positive disease in 298/546 (54.6%), pT3a in 154/546 (28.2%), and pT3b in 94/546 (17.2%). Multivariable logistic regression was performed adjusting for age, distance from cancer centre, Gleason score, T stage, perineural invasion, and margin status. Gleason score 8-10 (p<0.0001), higher pathologic T stage (p<0.0001), and farther distance (p=0.0028) were associated with referral for ART. Age and margin status were not significantly associated. Men with pT3a (odds ratio 3.35) and pT3b disease (odds ratio 5.32) were more likely to be referred than pT2 margin positive disease (p<0.0001). There were 78/546 (14.3%) patients with a high risk factor who were referred for ART within 6 months of surgery. The rates of referral were not significantly different before and after the presentation of randomized trials (p=0.60). Conclusions: Men with higher pathologic stage (pT3) and grade (Gleason 8-10) are more likely to receive ART. However, referral for ART did not increase significantly after presentation of the randomized trials and remains underutilized.

Abstract:
Porivinsi Gorontalo merupakan salah satu sentra penghasil kelapa berdasarakan data BPS tahun 2016, gorontalo menghasilkan 54,6 ribu ton kelapa. Secara umum proses ekstraksi daging kelapa menjadi santan dilakukan dengan proses pemerasan secara manual. Selain dilakukan secara manual proses ektraksi juga dapat dilakukan dengan menggunakan mesin. Beberapa industri rumah tangga sudah menggunakan mesin pemeras santan dengan sistem batch dengan kapasitas yang relatif kecil. Proses pemerasan merupakan proses yang terpisah dengan pemarutan sehingga membutuhkan waktu yang lebih lama dalam ektraksi daging kelapa menjadi santan. Pada penelitian ini akan difokuskan bagaimana cara untuk memaraut kelapa yang selanjutnya diperas untuk menghasilkan santan kelapa secara berkenlajutan (Continu)

Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana kontribusi gaya kepemimpinan dan disiplin kerja terhadap peningkatan kerja pegawai pada kantor Biro Jasa Kesejahteraan Rakyat Pemerintah Provinsi Lampung. Penelitian yang dilaksanakan jenis penelitian Explanatory yaitu model pemecahan masalah yang menguraikan masalah dan menjelaskannya berdasarkan data data yang ada dalam mengulas secara pendekatan teori dan angka angka yang berhubungan satu dengan lainnya. Penelitian ini menggunakan 52 responden penelitian. Ada tiga variabel dalam penelitian ini yaitu : 2 (dua) Variabel bebas (X1 dan X2) dan 1 (satu) variabel terikat dimana Gaya Kepemimpinan (X1) dan Disiplin Kerja (X2) sebagai variabel bebas dan Peningkatan Kinerja Pegawai (Y) sebagai variabel terikat. Dari hasil pengolahan data telah berhasil ditemukan jawaban hipotesis yakni sebagai berikut Terdapat kontribusi antara gaya kepemimpinan (X1), disiplin kerja (X2) dengan peningkatan kinerja pegawai (Y), dengan tingkat kontribusi sebesar 54,6% yang berarti bahwa gaya kepemimpinan dan disiplin kerja memberikan kontribusi sebesar 54,6% terhadap peningkatan kinerja pegawai. Abstract:
Background Invasive alien plants with long-lived dormant seed banks and fast growth rates are difficult to manage. Acacia mearnsii and Acacia melanoxylon are two such invaders in the southern Cape of South Africa which occasionally co-occur with a native, ecologically analogous species, Virgilia divaricata. We compared the performance of these three species to determine potential for the native species to be used in management of the invasives. Methods We compared the study species in terms of (i) soil seed bank densities, their vertical distribution, and the viability of seeds underneath the canopies of mature trees; (ii) seedling growth from planted seeds over a period of three months; and (iii) growth rates of saplings over a period of 10 months in stands that have naturally regenerated in the field (these stands were dominated by A. mearnsii) and where saplings have been exposed to varying levels of competition from surrounding saplings. Results Seed bank densities differed significantly among species but not among soil depth classes. Acacia mearnsii had the highest seed bank densities (mean of 7,596 seeds m−2), followed by V. divaricata (938 seeds m−2) and A. melanoxylon (274 seeds m−2). Seed viability was high (87–91%) in all three study species and did not differ significantly among species or soil depth classes. As seedlings, V. divaricata significantly outgrew A. mearnsii in terms of height, root and shoot dry mass, and root:shoot ratio. Relative growth (the relationship between growth in height and initial height) was negative in the seedlings of both species. Trends during the sapling stage were opposite to those during the seedling stage; A. mearnsii (but not A. melanoxylon) saplings significantly outgrew V. divaricata saplings in height, while relative growth rates were positive in all species. Sapling growth of all species was furthermore uninfluenced by the collective biomass of surrounding competitors. Discussion Our findings suggest that amongst the measures considered, A. mearnsii’s success as an invader is primarily attributable to its large seed banks, and secondly to its vigorous growth in height as saplings. However, the superior growth performance of V. divaricata seedlings and no apparent negative effect of competition from the acacias on sapling growth show promise for its use in integrated management of the acacias.

Bengawan Solo merupakan sungai yang sudah banyak mengalami perubahan oleh Waduk, Bendungan, Sodetan, dan lain-lain. Bengawan Solo melewati Provinsi Jawa Tengah dan Jawa Timur yang padat penduduk, sekitar 15,2 juta jiwa berdomisili di satuan wilayah Sungai Bengawan Solo dan juga banyak terdapat industri. Permasalahan tersebut dapat berpengaruh langsung terhadap kehidupan organisme air kajian tentang parameter físika-kimia perairan diharapkan dapat memberikan informasi tentang status kualitas perairan di Bengawan Solo. Parameter yang diamati dalam penelitianini adalah oksigen terlarut, karbondioksida, pH, fenol, minyak-lemak, amonia, Cd, Cr, Zn, Pb, Cu, dan CN. Terdapat indikasi bahwa Bengawan Solo di daerah Solo-Sragen dan sekitarnya telah tercemar bobot dengan kualitas air buruk yaitu oksigen rendah (beberapa lokasi kurang dari 2 mg/L, karbon dioksida tinggi (8,8-34,32 mg/L), NH3-N bebas tinggi (beberapa lokasi lebih dari 0,2 mg/L), COD tinggi (1,64-172 mg/L), fenol tinggi (0,087-1,431 mg/L), minyak lemak tinggi (2,6-54,6 mg/L).Konsentrasi logam bobot pada beberapa lokasi yaitu Kampung Sewu, Bak Kramat, dan Tundungan cukup tinggi yaitu Cr= 0,180- 0,375 mg/L, Cu=0,026-0,293 mg/L, dan Zn=0,515-2,892 mg/L. Demikian juga kandungan logam bobot pada ikan sapu-sapu (Liposarcus pardalis) cukup tinggi pada beberapa lokasi Kampung Sewu, Tundungan, Bak Kramat, dan Butuh; Cr=0,856- 2,154 mg/kg, Cu=3, 69-198,48 mg/kg, Pb=1,067 - 2,006 mg/kg, dan Zn=53,516-102,285 mg/kg. Perlu dilakukan pengendalian pencemaran di Bengawan Solo dengan cara meningkatkan kesadaran bersama, pemantauan pembuangan limbah, dan penindakan bagi para pelanggaran. Bengawan Solo River is highly modified by dams, impoundment, reservoir, channelization, etc. It traverse through Central Java and East Java province in its passage from headwaters to the sea. Industries and heavy population (approximately 15.2 million people) near the river have potentially wreaked havoc upon the river. Study on physical and chemical parameters expected provide enough information on water quality condition in Bengawan Solo River. Parameters under study were disolved oxygen, carbondioxid, pH, fenol, NH3-N, oil, and grease, COD, Cr, Cd, Pb, Zn, Cu, and CN. An overview of water quality of Bengawan Solo River in Solo-Sragen region indicates that the segments is already strongly polluted as indicated as low oxygen (some location less than 2 mg/L) and high amount of CO2 (8,8-34.32), high free NH3-N (some location more than 0,2 mg/L), COD (1,64-172 mg/L), fenol (0.087- 1,431 mg/L), and oil and grease (2,6-54.6 mg/L). Heavy metals content of some location at Kampung Sewu, Bak Kramat, and Butuh were Cr=0,180-0,375 mg/L, Cu=0,026-0,293 mg/L, Zn=0,515-2,892 mg/L. Heavy metals content in fish tissue of sapu-sapu were high enough at some location (Kampung Sewu, Tundungan, Bak Kramat, and Butuh); Cr=0,856-2,154 mg/kg, Cu=3,69-198,48 mg/kg, Pb=1,067- 2,006 mg/kg, and Zn=53,516-102,285 mg/kg.

Abstract:
Background Ribosomal RNA (rRNA) forms a major component of ribosomes, which play a critical role in cellular growth and proliferation through regulation of protein synthesis. Increased rRNA transcription and ribosomal biogenesis have been associated with tumorigenesis, and recent reports have suggested that inhibition of rRNA transcription by CX-5461 (Senhwa Biosciences), a novel selective small-molecule inhibitor of RNA polymerase (pol) I, induces cell death in several human tumor types by both p53-dependent and independent mechanisms. These findings led to our hypothesis that selective RNA pol I inhibition with CX-5461 could be a rational new approach to therapy for both wild-type (wt) and mutant p53 multiple myeloma models. Methods Studies with CX-5461 were performed in wt p53 and mutant p53 cell lines, zinc-finger nuclease (ZFN) p53 knock-out (KO) isogenic myeloma cell lines, and bortezomib and carfilzomib-resistant myeloma cell lines. Results Treatment of wt p53 (MM1.S, MOLP8) and mutant p53 (U266, RPMI-8226) myeloma cell lines demonstrated a time and dose dependent decrease in cell proliferation after exposure to CX-5461 with a median inhibitory concentration (IC50) range of 50-100 nM after a 72-hour incubation. A corresponding increase in cleaved PARP, cleaved caspase-9, and cleaved caspase-3 expression was seen on Western blot, as well as increased Annexin V staining on flow cytometry analysis. Notably, the degree of Annexin V staining was less in the p53 mutant cell lines compared to the wt p53 cells at any given drug concentration, but strong apoptotic signaling could be induced in mutant p53 cell lines when using higher concentrations of CX-5461. In addition, co-culturing myeloma cells with GFP+ HS5 stromal cells to mimic the bone marrow microenvironment did decrease the therapeutic effect of CX-5461, but again could be overcome with higher drug concentrations [250-500 nM]. Similar results were seen when isogenic MM1.S ZFN p53 KO cells were used, whose sensitivity to CX-5461 was comparable to that of wt p53 cells. Finally, CX-5461 was also tested on drug-resistant myeloma cell lines that were generated by exposing cells to low concentrations of bortezomib (RMPI-8266, KAS-6/1, ANBL-6) or carfilzomib (KAS-6/1) over time. These drug-resistant cell lines showed sensitivity to CX-5461 with an IC50 in the 100-250 nM concentration range. Gene expression profiling (GEP) of isogenic MM1.S ZFN p53 KO and wt cells revealed that gene expression perturbations by CX-5461 were primarily p53-independent. Additional GEP and pathway analysis in other isogenic ZFN p53 wt and KO cell lines is currently ongoing, with a particular interest in p53-independent mechanisms that may explain the efficacy of CX-5461 in both wt and mutant p53 myeloma models. Conclusion RNA pol I inhibition by CX-5461 is a promising approach to myeloma therapy, with low nanomolar drug activity seen in wt p53, mutant p53, and drug-resistant myeloma cell line models, providing a rationale for translation of CX-5461 into the clinic for the treatment of multiple myeloma. Abstract:
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh lingkungan kerja non fisik dan disiplin kerja terhadap kepuasan kerja pegawai pada Kantor Camat Palibelo Kabupaten Bima. Jenis penelitian yang ditetapkan adalah penelitian penjelasan (explanatory research) dengan pendekatan kuantitatif Sumber data pada penelitian ini adalah data primer. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian populasi dengan 35 responden pada Kantor Camat Palibelo Kabupaten Bima. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah sampling jenuh (total population). Teknik Pengumpulan data penelitian menggunakan metode kuesioner. Metode analisis data menggunakan uji validitas dan reliabilitas, asumsi klasik, regresi linier berganda. Koefisien korelasi, Uji signifikansi menggunakan uji T dan uji F dengan taraf signifikansi 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa variabel lingkungan kerja non fisik memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan dan menunjukkan hasil positif terhadap kepuasan kerja pgawai. Variabel disiplin kerja berpengaruh positif dan tidak signifikan terhadap kepuasan kerja pegawai. Hasil pengujian dan analisisnya menunjukkan bahwa F hitung > F tabel atau 6,781>3,27 dan nilai signifikasi < 0,05 atau 0,004 < 0,05 maka terdapat pengaruh lingkungan kerja non fisik dan disiplin kerja secara simultan sangat signifikan terhadap kepuasan kerja pegawai. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan nilai koefisien korelasi (R) sebesar 0.546 atau 54,6%, berarti sebesar 54,6 % kontribusi atau pengaruh variabel lingkungan kerja non fisik (X1) dan disiplin kerja (X2) secara simultan (bersama-sama) terhadap variabel Kepuasan kerja (Y), sedangkan sisanya sebesar 45,4 % adalah pengaruh faktor lainnya yang tidak diteliti.

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran berbasis web pada mata kuliah Gambar Teknik II. Penelitian ini termasuk metode penelitian Research and Development (R&D) dengan model penelitian pengembangan ADDIE yang dilakukan dalam lima tahap, yaitu analisis, perancangan, implementasi dan evaluasi. Penelitian pengembangan ini menggunakan instrumen non tes berupa angket. Angket digunakan untuk validasi produk yang dilakukan oleh ahli desain pembelajaran, ahli materi dan ahli media juga menambah penilaian mahasiswa yang telah mengikuti Gambar Teknik II. Hasil kelayakan produk berupa web pembelajaran dengan hasil validasi yaitu ahli desain pembelajaran memperoleh persentase sebesar 62% dengan kategori layak, ahli media mendapatkan persentase sebesar 88% dengan kategori sangat layak dan ahli materi mendapatkan persentase sebesar 90% dengan kategori sangat layak. Untuk hasil belajar siswa, penilaian yang diperoleh yaitu 80% dengan kategori layak dan dari hasil keefektifan produk diperoleh hasil pretest 54,66 dan hasil posttest 82,73. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa web pembelajaran mata kuliah Gambar Teknik II sudah layak dan layak digunakan. This research includes research methods Research and Development (R&D) with a research model ADDIE development is carried out in five stages, namely analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. This development research using a non-test instrument in the form of a questionnaire. Questionnaires are used for validation products carried out by instructional design experts, material experts and media experts also add to the assessments of students who have taken courses Engineering Drawing II. The product feasibility results are in the form of a learning web with the results of expert validation, namely instructional design experts obtained a percentage of 62% with the "feasible" category, media experts get a percentage of 88% with category "very feasible" and material experts get a percentage of 90% with category "very decent". For the results of the student, assessment obtained an average percentage score of 80% with the "feasible" category and from the results of the effectiveness of the product obtained 54.66 pretest results and 82.73 posttest results. Abstract:
Durch die zunehmende technologische Entwicklung des Getriebe-, Gelenkwellen-, Werkzeugmaschinen-, Kraftfahrzeug-, sowie Landmaschinenbaus steigen die zu übertragenden Leistungen und Drehmomente enorm. Dies führt zu einem wachsenden Bedarf an formschlüssigen Profilwellenverbindungen und deren erhöhter Lebensdauer und Genauigkeit. Hierbei bilden die Zahnwellenverbindungen (ZWVen) mit Evolventenflanken nach DIN 5480 /N1/ den Regelfall für eine Vielzahl der Anwendung. Abhängig von Festigkeitsüberlegungen, Herstellungsverfahren und Platzbedarf treten in der Praxis nahezu ausschließlich die folgenden zwei Grundtypen auf. Es handelt sich dabei zum Ersten um die Zahnwelle (ZW) mit freiem Auslauf.Die zweite Geometrievariante ist die Zahnwelle mit gebundenem Auslauf, die eine nach DIN 471 /N2/ genormte Sicherungsringnut (SRN) enthalten kann. Zahnwellenverbindungen dienen zur Übertragung großer, wechselnder und stoßartiger Drehmomente ohne zusätzliches Verbindungselement durch die Profilierung der Welle und Nabe. Axiale Verschiebbarkeit unter Last, Profilverschiebungsmöglichkeit, einfache Montage und Demontage sowie die Herstellung mit hochleistungsfähigen umformenden und spanenden Massenfertigungsverfahren, die die Herstellungskosten verhältnismäßig niedrig halten, sind technisch bedeutsame Eigenschaften, die zum ansteigenden Einsatz von ZWVen führen (z.B. /N1/, /Vil84/, /Koh86/ und /Wes96/). Starke Kerbwirkung und erhebliche Überdimensionierung benachbarter Gestaltungszonen sind die wesentlichen Schwachpunkte der Profilverbindungen. Eine große Anzahl (ca. 80 %) von Ausfällen im Maschinenbau ist auf Schäden an Achsen und Wellen infolge konstruktiv bedingter Kerben zurückzuführen (z.B. /N3/ und /Hai89/). Speziell im Bereich der hochbeanspruchten Profilwellen-Verbindungen kommt es auf Grund der starken Querschnittsveränderungen und der häufig angewandten Ausläufe und Formelemente, z. B. Zahn- und Keilwellen zu Kerbwirkungen, die erhebliche örtliche Spannungskonzentrationen sowohl im Zahnfußbereich und Zahnlückenauslauf als auch im Bereich der Verbindung selbst verursachen. Diese Beanspruchungskonzentrationen sind fast in der Hälfte aller Zahnwellenbrüche die häufigste Ursache für Dauerbrüche (Ermüdungs- bzw. Schwingungsbrüche) und für Schäden (bleibende Verformung, Anriss, Gewaltbruch) infolge Maximalbelastung. Hier trifft die Lastüberhöhung am Welle-Nabe-Verbindungsrand mit dem Steifigkeitssprung des Verzahnungsendes auf der Welle zusammen /Die93/. Die erwähnten Schadensfälle belegen, dass der heutige Kenntnisstand über eine beanspruchungsgerechte Auslegung von Zahnwellen noch recht lückenhaft ist. Deshalb sind neue Erkenntnisse über Form- bzw. Kerbwirkungszahlen bei Einzel- und Mehrfachkerben von scharf und weniger scharf gekerbten Zahnwellen mit Auslauf für eine treffsichere Festigkeitsberechnung erforderlich und stellen damit die Hauptschwerpunkte dieser Arbeit dar. Das vorliegende Forschungsprojekt, welches sich erstmals mit der Ermittlung der Beanspruchungen in torsions-, und biegebelasteten Zahnwellen mit freiem und gebundenem Auslauf befasst, wurde im Rahmen der Forschungsvereinigung für Antriebstechnik e.V. (FVA) unter der Nummer T 467 und dem Forschungsthema „ Ermittlung der Kerbwirkung bei Profilwellen für die praktische Getriebeberechnung von Zahnwellen“ initiiert und untersucht.

ENGLISH ABSTRACT: The discussion concerning the history of the Afrikaners as a white minority in Rhodesia is a purposeful attempt to historically investigate the presence and fundamental contributions of this particular population group. In methodological terms this study falls within the framework of diaspora and migration studies, movement of nations and the dynamics of minorities living in a host country. Since 1890 Afrikaners from South Africa, mostly as the result of the search for improved living conditions and job opportunities, gradually found their way to the territory north of the Limpopo River. The organised and individual treks, and the sporadic movement of Afrikaner immigrants to Rhodesia would lay the foundations of a self-supporting, though geographically straggling population group. In almost every terrain of life Afrikaners would participate in the provision of essential labour service. Since the Afrikaners mainly represented a rural population, they became very familiar with agricultural practices and surroundings. Predominantly, the Afrikaner farmers would in due time play a contributory role in the overall agricultural industry and economy of Rhodesia. The Afrikaner churches and cultural organisations in Rhodesia would decisively serve to unite Afrikaners religiously and socially, and to knit them together. The influence of Christian ministry and reformist mission work would not remain limited to Afrikaners, but would at the same time also include the Christianisation of black people. Politically, the Afrikaners lived in relatively friendly coexistence with the dominant English-speaking population of a British colony, although unsympathetic political attitudes, preconceived ideas and the fear of Afrikaner nationalism often hampered relations. The restrictive colonial immigration policies, compulsory military service and the rejection of Afrikaans as the second official medium of instruction by the Rhodesian authorities confirmed the political subjection of Afrikaners in Rhodesia. Mutual acceptance among Afrikaners and English-speaking Rhodesians would only emerge after the declaration of independence in 1965. Due to the aspiration of preserving their language and group and national identity, the Afrikaners would consequently not be politically assimilated into the mainstream of the English-speaking population.
AFRIKAANSE OPSOMMING: Die bespreking van die geskiedenis van die Afrikaners as blanke minderheid in Rhodesië is 'n doelbewuste poging om die teenwoordigheid en wesenlike bydraes van hierdie bepaalde bevolkingsgroep histories te ondersoek. In metodologiese terme ressorteer hierdie studie binne die raamwerk van diaspora- en migrasiestudies, volksverskuiwing en die dinamika van minderhede woonagtig in 'n gasheerstaat. Sedert 1890 het Afrikaners vanuit Suid-Afrika, merendeels weens die soeke na verbeterde lewensomstandighede en werksgeleenthede, geleidelik hul weg na die gebied noord van die Limpoporivier gevind. Die georganiseerde en individuele Afrikaner-trekke en die sporadiese verhuising van Afrikaner-immigrante na Rhodesië sou die fondamente van . selfonderhoudende, dog geografies wydverspreide bevolkingsgroep lê. Afrikaners sou op feitlik alle lewensterreine en in die verskaffing van noodsaaklike arbeidsdienste deelneem. Aangesien die Afrikaners in hoofsaak 'n landelike bevolking verteenwoordig het, het hulle goed vertroud geraak met die boerderypraktyk en -omgewing. Die Afrikaner-boere sou oorwegend met verloop van tyd 'n bydraende ontwikkelingsrol in die algehele Rhodesiese landboubedryf en ekonomie vervul. Die Afrikaner-kerke en -kultuurorganisasies in Rhodesie sou 'n deurslaggewende godsdienstige, sosialiserings- en saambindende funksie verrig om Afrikaners te verenig. Die invloed van Christelike bearbeiding en reformistiese sendingwerk sou nie tot Afrikaners beperk bly nie, maar terselfdertyd ook die kerstening van swart mense insluit. Polities het Afrikaners in relatief vriendskaplike naasbestaan met die dominante Engelssprekende bevolking van 'n Britse kolonie verkeer, hoewel onsimpatieke politieke houdings, vooropgestelde idees en vrees vir Afrikaner-nasionalisme dikwels verhoudinge belemmer het. Die beperkende koloniale immigrasiebeleide, verpligte militere diensplig en die afkeur van Afrikaans as tweede amptelike voertaal deur die Rhodesiese owerhede, was bevestigend van die politieke onderworpenheid van Afrikaners in Rhodesië. Wedersydse aanvaarding tussen Afrikaners en Engelssprekende Rhodesiers sou eers na die onafhanklikheidverklaring in 1965 na vore kom. Danksy die strewe om die behoud van hul taal, groepsidentiteit en volkseie sou die Afrikaners dus nie polities in die hoofstroom van die Engelssprekende bevolking geassimileer word nie.

Syftet med denna studie är att kartlägga hur genus framställs i läromedlet Den magiska kulan för årskurs ett. För att göra detta har vi valt att genomföra en diskursanalys. Vi bearbetar resultatet genom Nikolajevas (2017) mall för vad som anses vara kvinnligt respektive manligt men utgår också från egna erfarenheter samt tidigare forskning inom ämnet. Studien visar att läromedlet till största del ger ett könsneutralt intryck, det finns dock scener som som kan påstås vara könsstereotypiska. Studien visar också att de kvinnliga karaktärerna ges mycket utrymme för att uttrycka sig på varierande sätt, mer än vad de manliga karaktärerna ges.

This essay examines why Vietnam veterans, who were draft motivated enlistees, enlisted when drafted or threatened with the draft. Data is taken from 63 oral history interviews conducted by The Vietnam Archive Oral History Project at Texas Tech University and is analyzed using the phenomenological research approach. The background of this paper briefly explains the Vietnam Draft and the draft avoidance options available to those men who were drafted. The results section utilizes quotes from the oral history interviews to show the main themes of why men chose to enlist when faced with the draft. The discussion section discusses these themes in a wider context and brings up areas for further research.

Den vanligaste smittvägen för vårdrelaterade infektioner är genom direkt eller indirekt kontaktsmitta via personalens händer, kläder och tekniska utrustning. Röntgensjuksköterskor möter dagligen ett stort antal patienter och blir därför en potentiell smittväg för mikroorganismer, som skulle kunna spridas vidare på kort tid till patienter om den basala hygienen inte efterföljs. Syftet med detta arbete är att undersöka i vilken omfattning röntgensjuksköterskor utför den basala hygienen vid patientkontakt enligt Socialstyrelsens föreskrifter. Kvantitativ metod med enkät valdes där urvalet bestod av röntgensjuksköterskor som arbetade vid två röntgenavdelningar från två sjukhus i södra Sverige. Resultatet visade att majoriteten av röntgensjuksköterskorna följer Socialstyrelsens föreskrifter inom basal hygien och att röntgensjuksköterskorna upplever att det fanns fler faktorer på arbetsplatserna som främjade men även faktorer som hindrade utförandet av den basala hygienen.

Abstract:
An optimization model was created to optimize the input power capacity and storage capacity relative to the output power capacity of a compressed air energy storage (CAES) facility in the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) grid. Historical electricity and non-spinning reserve prices were used to calculate the economic feasibility of CAES in each of the zones in ERCOT. The analysis found that with perfect knowledge of future prices a CAES facility would be economically attractive over the period of years considered, and the non-spinning reserve ancillary service market provided a substantial contribution to the overall revenue of the facility. Optimal input power capacity for the entire period of 2002 through 2010 was found to be about one-quarter of the output capacity in the Houston, South, and North zones in ERCOT and one-half the output power capacity in the West zone in ERCOT. Optimal storage capacity was found to be about 17 hours in the Houston, South, and North zones and 31 hours in the West zone. Optimal values for individual years varied significantly, as did revenues. The negative electricity prices that have occurred historically in the West zone are the consequence of wind generators and lack of transmission capacity to export electricity; this effect gives CAES greater opportunity to perform price arbitrage and improves the economics of such a facility.

Abstract:
A 3D viscous solver has been used to model the flow in the stator of a highly loaded single-stage transonic fan. The fan has a very high level of aerodynamic loading at the hub, which results in a severe hub endwall stall. Prediction of the flow at the 100% speed, peak efficiency condition has been carried out and comparisons are made with experiment, including stator exit traverses and fixed blade surface pressure tappings and flow visualisation. Comparisons are also made with an analysis of the rotor and stator rows using the DRA S1-S2 method. The 3D predictions show good qualitative agreement with measurements in all regions of the flow field. Quantitatively the flow away from the hub region agreed the best. The general trends of the severe hub endwall stail were predicted, although the shape and size did not match experiment exactly. The S1-S2 system was unable to predict the hub endwall stall, since it arises from fully 3D flow effects.
