Abstract:
The direct CP asymmetry (aCP) for the process B+→π+K0 is studied including the contributions arising from both the QCD and electroweak penguins and the long range inelastic final state interactions (IFSI). The usually neglected space-like penguins and the annihilation contributions are also taken into account in our analysis. The next-to-leading order low energy effective Hamiltonian and BSW model are used to evaluate the weak transition matrix elements. The effect of space-like and annihilation diagrams are studied using the Lepage and Brodsky model. We found that as a result of FSI, the CP a

Fermilab experiment E871, HyperCP, is designed to search for evidence of direct CP violation in Cascade and Lambda hyperon decays. The asymmetry of the angular distribution of the proton in the Lambda helicity frame between Ξ-→Λ+π-, Λ→p+π- and the charge-conjugate decays, will be measured. During the 1997 and 1999 fixed target runs at Fermilab HyperCP collaboration collected billions of Cascade and anti-Cascade decays that would make it possible to probe this asymmetry at the 10-4 statistical level. The status of the data analysis is described.

We review the direct CP and T violation in the three-body baryonic B decays in the standard model. In particular, we emphasize that the direct CP violating asymmetry in [Formula: see text] is around 22% and the direct T violating asymmetry in [Formula: see text] can be as large as 12%, which are accessible to the current B factories at KEK and SLAC as well as SuperB and LHCb.

The direct CP asymmetry in the inclusive B → Xdγ and B → Xde+e-decays is investigated in the two-Higgs doublet extension of the Standard Model (2HDM). The investigation is performed in the lowest nonvanishing order of the perturbation theory using the existing restrictions on the 2HDM parameters space. It is shown that the direct CP asymmetry in the B → Xdγ decay can deviate significantly from the Standard Model predictions. In the presence of only one source of CP violation (the CKM matrix weak phase) aCP(B → Xdγ) can have the sign opposite to that in the SM. The new source of CP violation ca

We study the direct CP violation effect in the decay mode B+→ϕK+. This decay mode is dominated by the loop induced [Formula: see text] penguin diagram with a tiny contribution from the annihilation diagram. Therefore, the standard model expectation of direct CP violation is negligibly small. Using QCD factorization approach we find the CP asymmetry in the standard model to be at percent level. We consider then two scenarios beyond the standard model, the model with an extra vector-like down quark (VLDQ) and the R-parity violating supersymmetric model (RPV) and show that the direct CP violating

In the framework of factorization, based on the first-order of isospin violation, we study direct CP violation in the decay of [Formula: see text] including the effect of ρ–ω mixing. The CP violation depends strongly on Cabibbo–Kobayashi–Maskawa (CKM) matrix elements and the effective parameter, Nc. Recently, the experimental data for the branching ratios of [Formula: see text] are accurate and we can give the strong constraint on the range of Nc. We find that the CP violating asymmetry is large and ranges from -82% to -98% via ρ–ω mixing mechanism when the invariant mass of the π+π- pair is i

Unparticles proposed by Georgi carry charge parity (CP) conserving phases in their propagators. In this paper, we review our recent works on CP violation due to the peculiar phases of unparticles. We use the decays Bd → π+ π– and Bd → [Formula: see text]–[Formula: see text]+ as the illustrators to show the influences of these phases on the direct CP asymmetries. In particular, we emphasize that if a nonzero CP asymmetry is found in Bd → [Formula: see text]–[Formula: see text]+, it is definitely an indication of the existence of unparticles.PACS Nos.: 12.60.–i 11.30.Er 13.20.He 14.40.Nd

Abstract:
The LHCb experiment has been able to collect the largest sample ever produced of charm-hadron decays, performing a number of measurements of observables related to CP violation in the charm sector. In this document, the most recent results from LHCb on the search of direct CP violation in D0→Ks0Ks0, D(s)+→h+π0 and D(s)+→h+η decays are summarised, in addition to the most precise measurement of time-dependent CP asymmetry in D0→h+h− decays and the first observation of mass difference between neutral charm-meson eigenstates.

Abstract:
We present the first measurement of the CP violating charge asymmetry in B-+/- -> mu(+/-)nu D-mu(0) decays using the full Run II integrated luminosity of 10.4 fb(-1) in proton-antiproton collisions collected with the D0 detector at the Fermilab Tevatron Collider. We measure a difference in the yield of B- and B+ mesons in these decays by fitting the reconstructed invariant mass distributions. This results in an asymmetry of A(mu D0) = [-0.14 +/- 0.20] %, which is consistent with standard model predictions.
