The alternating direction method is widely applied in total variation image restoration. However, the search directions of the method are not accurate enough. In this paper, one method based on the subspace optimization is proposed to improve its optimization performance. This method corrects the search directions of primal alternating direction method by using the energy function and a linear combination of the previous search directions. In addition, the convergence of the primal alternating direction method is proven under some weaker conditions. Thus the convergence of the corrected method

Mutual-Shielding Directional Gamma Detector excels at sensitivity and can achieve good angular accuracy and a large field of view. In this paper, we present, in detail, a method to optimize a mutual shielding directional detector array regarding the scintillators positioning for a given number and size of detection units. The optimization goals are improvement of accuracy and sensitivity. The optimization uses two types of fast, non-Monte-Carlo simulations since the simulation needs to generate measurements from all directions for each array formation tested. The pumping stations of the reservoir pressure maintenance system are the main consumers of electricity in the OGPD. In each iteration of the interior point method (IPM) at least one linear system has to be solved. The main computational effort of IPMs consists in the computation of these linear systems. Solving the corresponding linear systems with a direct method becomes very expensive for large scale problems. In this thesis, we have been concerned with using an iterative method for solving the reduced KKT systems arising in IPMs for linear programming. The augmented system form of this linear system has a number of advantages, notably a higher degree of sparsity than the normal equations form. We design

The multidisciplinary design optimization model is a tool that combines an analysis and an optimization process and uses a measure of merit to obtain what it infers to be the best design. All that the designer has to know is the range of values of certain design variables that confine the design within a lower and an upper bound. The determination of the readiness of teachers and senior students of pedagogical college for implementation of health-keeping technologies, which are aimed at creating a physiological posture of schoolchildren, to the educational process was conducted by our questioning method. 95% of teachers and 77.6% of students (according to polls) need methodological assistance for effective use of health-keeping technol

Abstract:
Use of the digital technologies is new and very productive approach for balance of different data. It is very important for balance of supply and demand and for increase of competitiveness of products. Various types of digital models were developed as a result of scientific research, they found reflection in article. Digital models for the description of the list of the sequences of steps and operations of various stages and process in general allow to install system of interrelations between operations and steps and to reach necessary log-ic, increase of effectiveness of any process. Abstract:
The increasing demand for energy efficient vulcanization of rubber extrusions requires the optimization and further development of existing processes. Microwave vulcanization allows the energy required for this process to be coupled directly into the material via dielectric losses. Microwave heating requires the polarity of the rubber so that the electromagnetic wave can cause the polar components of the material to vibrate. These vibrations cause internal friction, resulting in an increase in the temperature of the rubber compound. In this research project, microwaves were used to heat a rubb

Background. People who receive home- and community-based services (HCBS) have diverse and unique needs that can be met with these services aiming to support their independence. Purpose. To map the existing literature on HCBS in terms of interventions, populations, outcomes, person-centeredness, and relevant quality measures, and identify research gaps for older adults. Methods. A comprehensive literature search of multiple databases including Medline, Embase, and Scopus was conducted up to December 7, 2023, and complemented with grey literature search and feedback from Key Informants. An Optimization Model for Die Sets Allocation to Minimize Supply Chain Cost. SAE International, 2022. http://dx.doi.org/10.4271/2022-01-5057.

Abstract:
In this paper, a novel mixed-integer programming model is developed to optimally assign the die sets to candidate plants to minimize the total costs. The total costs include freight shipping stamped parts to assembly plants, die set movement, outsourcing, and utilization. Therefore, the objective function is weighted multi-criteria and it takes into consideration some of the key constraints in the real-world condition including “must-move die sets”. An optimization tool has been developed that takes several inputs and feeds them as the input to the mathematical model and generates the optimal
