Дисертація Махоніна М.В. присвячена вирішенню однієї з актуальних науково-технічних задач сучасного медичного приладобудування – підвищенню ефективності генератору медичного озону за рахунок визначення параметрів розрядної камери, напруги живлення та витрати кисню. На даний час у світі активно використовують озон та його суміші для широких потреб різних галузей. Для отримання озону використовуються спеціальні генератори озону різних типів у залежності від сфери їх застосування. Ці генератори відрізняються розмірами, кількістю озону, що генерується за відрозок часу та інші. Особливістю ж генераторів медичного озону є те, що необхідно підтримувати задані параметри отримуваної озоно-кисневої суміші на протязі усього часу проведення процедури, а у якості робочого газу використовується медичний кисень. Це дозволяє реалізовувати методики озонотерапії для максимально ефективного лікування пацієнтів. Типові параметри озоно-кисневої суміші, які повинен забезпечувати медичний генератор озону регламентуються в Україні «Методиками для застосування озону в медичній практиці», які були затверджені Міністерством охорони здоров’я в 2004 році. Згідно сучасної редакції цих методик концентрація озону в озоно-кисневій суміші повинна змінюватись у діапазоні від 0,1 до 80 мг/л, а витрата суміші від 0,1 до 1 л/хв. Медичні генератори озону активно використовуються у кабінетах озонотерапії та медичних установах України, країн СНД, а також країн Латинської Америки. Щорічно у світі проводиться велика кількість конференцій присвячених озонотерапії, на яких вона отримує свій подальший розвиток Практичне використання генераторів медичного озону свідчить, що більшість апаратури, що використовуються, потребує вдосконалення для забезпечення роботи на основі сучасних медичних рішень у лікуванні. Тобто розробка сучасного генератора потребує не тільки відповідність параметрів сучасним вимогам, а й ще запас на розвиток та можливість збільшення значень концентрації озону. Крім того, у більшості медичних генераторів озону спостерігається невідповідність заявлених параметрів озоно-кисневої суміші та значення продуктивності по озону. Продуктивність генератора озону, в свою чергу, залежить від: параметрів розрядної камери, параметрів напруги живлення, параметрів робочого газу. Вирішенням проблему пошуку оптимальних значень цих параметрів для підвищення ефективності роботи генератора озона займаються багато науковців, серед яких можна виділити японських, німецьких та науковців з країн СНД. Але на даний момент ще не існує універсальної моделі розрахунку параметрів генератору Таким чином, задача підвищення ефективності роботи генератора медичного озону за рахунок визначення найкращих параметрів його вузлів, що дозволить підвищити якість процедур озонотерапії є актуальним і перспективним напрямком розвитку генераторів озону. У дисертаційній роботі вперше побудовано математичну модель синтезу озону в розрядній камері генератора медичного озону, яка враховує вплив не тільки параметрів електричної енергії, а також параметрів розрядної камери та робочого газу. Отримані залежності впливу параметрів електричної енергії на синтез озону у розрядній камері на основі проведеного аналізу та з використанням комп’ютерного моделювання. Отримала подальший розвиток модель процесу генерації озону в бар'єрному розряді, яка, на відміну від існуючої, враховує не тільки параметри напруги живлення і розміри камери, але і процеси, що відбуваються в розрядному проміжку. Запропоновано методику розрахунку основних параметрів генератора озону при його розробці, що дозволяє підвищити ефективність синтезу озону. Практичне значення одержаних результатів полягає у обґрунтованні переліку параметрів, що чинять найбільший вплив на продуктивність генератора медичного озону; інженерних розрахунках параметрів генератора медичного озону, які дозволили оптимізувати конструкцію генератора з заданими параметрами; реалізації експериментального зразка генератора медичного озону з вдосконаленою системою автоматичного регулювання витрати газу, що дозволила забезпечити виконання широко спектру процедур озонотерапії. Отриманні практичні результати дисертаційної роботи впроваджені на НВП «Еконіка» при розробці та виготовлення сучасних генераторів медичного озону, а також розроблений макетний зразок пройшов медичну апробації у медичному центрі «Пульс-медика» та у Інституті медичної радіології ім. С.П. The thesis is devoted to the solution of one of the current scientific and technical problems of modern medical instrument making - increasing the efficiency of the medical ozone generator by determining the parameters of the discharge chamber, the supply voltage and the oxygen consumption. Currently, ozone and its mixtures are widely used in the world for the wide range of applications. Different types of ozone generators depending on their application are used for ozone synthesis. These generators differ in size, the amount of ozone generated by the time span, etc. The peculiarity of the generators of medical ozone is that it is necessary to maintain the prescribed parameters of the resulting ozone-oxygen mixture throughout the entire duration of the procedure, and medical oxygen is used as the working gas. This allows us to implement ozone therapy techniques for the most effective treatment of patients. Typical parameters of the ozone-oxygen mixture, which the ozone generating plant should provide, are regulated in Ukraine "Methods for the application of ozone in medical practice", which were approved by the Ministry of Health in 2004. According to the modern version of these methods, the concentration of ozone in the ozone-oxygen mixture should vary in the range from 0.1 to 80 mg / l, and the flow rate of the mixture is from 0.1 to 1 l / min. Medical ozone generators are actively used in the offices of ozonotherapy and medical institutions in Ukraine, CIS countries, as well as Latin American countries. A large number of conferences devoted to ozone therapy are being held annually in the world in which it is further developed. The practical use of generators of medical ozone shows that most of the equipment used needs to be improved to provide work on the basis of modern medical solutions in treatment. That is, the development of a modern generator requires not only compliance with the parameters of modern requirements, but also a stock for development and the possibility of increasing the values of ozone concentration. In addition, in most medical ozone generators there is a discrepancy between the stated parameters of the ozone oxygen mixture and the value of ozone productivity. The performance of the ozone generator, in turn, depends on: the parameters of the discharge chamber, the parameters of the supply voltage, the parameters of the working gas. Many scientists, including Japanese, German and scholars from the CIS countries, are engaged in solving the problem of finding the optimal values of these parameters for increasing the efficiency of ozone generator operation. But at the moment there is still no universal model for calculating the parameters of the ozone generator. Thus, the task of increasing the efficiency of the medical ozone generator by determining the best parameters of its nodes, which will improve the quality of ozone therapy procedures, is an urgent and promising direction for the development of ozone generators. In the dissertation, for the first time, a mathematical model of the synthesis of ozone in a digital chamber of the medical ozone generator was constructed, which takes into account the influence not only of the parameters of electric energy, but also of the parameters of the discharge chamber and the working gas. The dependence of the influence of electric energy parameters on the synthesis of ozone in a discharge chamber was obtained on the basis of the conducted analysis and using computer simulation. The model of the ozone generation process in the barrier discharge has been further developed, which, in contrast to the existing one, takes into account not only the power supply parameters and camera dimensions, but also the processes occurring in the discharge gap. The method of calculation of the basic parameters of the ozone generator during its development, which allows increasing the efficiency of ozone synthesis, is proposed. The practical value of the results obtained is to justify the list of parameters that have the greatest impact on the performance of the medical ozone generator; engineering calculations of parameters of the generator of medical ozone, which allowed to optimize the design of the generator with the given parameters; the implementation of an experimental model of the medical ozone generator with an improved system of automatic regulation of gas consumption, which allowed to ensure the implementation of a wide range of procedures for ozone therapy. The practical results of the dissertation work were introduced at the Scientific-Production Enterprise "Econika" in the development and manufacture of modern generators of medical ozone, and also a prototype sample was developed, was tested at the medical center "Pulse Medika" and at the Institute of Medical Radiology N.A. Grigoriev.

Le Commissariat à l'Energie Atomique et aux Energies Alternatives (CEA) a en charge la conception d'un réacteur à neutrons rapides de quatrième génération.L'instrumentation neutronique de ce futur réacteur s'appuiera sur des chambres à fission placées en cuve. Ces chambres à fission à haute température (CFHT) devront fonctionner à pleine puissance à une température comprise entre 400°C et 650°C.Un bilan récent de la technologie CFHT a révélé que certains points sont à améliorer afin d'en garantir une plus grande fiabilité.En particulier, on recherche une meilleure compréhension du phénomène de décharges partielles. Celles-ci engendrent des impulsions non discernables de celles produites par les fragments de fission du dépôt fissile.Par ailleurs, elles pourraient accélérer le vieillissement des isolants minéraux.En s'appuyant sur une démarche expérimentale et théorique, ce travail de thèse a apporté plusieurs résultats.Les tests sur les différentes chambres à fission ont permis de caractériser les signaux de DP, vis à vis des signaux neutroniques et de trouver une méthode efficace de discrimination DP-neutron. De la même manière, les signaux DP ont été localisés et une solution technologique a été proposée et mise en oeuvre avec succès pour les éliminer.Un outil de calcul pour la simulation des impulsions neutroniques a été conçu et testé avec succès.Une expérience sur l'effet de la température sur la courbe de Paschen, dans un volume de gaz fermé, a été conçue et réalisée en donnant les premiers résultats intéressants<br>The Commission for Atomic and Alternative Energy (CEA) is in charge of the fourth generation fast neutron reactor design. The instrumentation for neutron flux measurement of this future reactor will be based on fission chambers placed in-core. These high temperature fission chambers (HTFC) will have to operate at full reactor power, and thus at a temperature between 400°C and 650°C.A recent review of HTFC technology has revealed that some points need improvement to ensure greater reliability.In particular, a better understanding of the phenomenon of partial discharges (PD), which are observed in the fission chambers at high temperature, is needed. These PD pulses are indistinguishable from those produced by the products of fission caused by collision with neutrons with the fissile deposit within thechambers.In addition, they could accelerate aging of the ceramic insulators used in the chambers.Based on both experimental and theoretical approaches, this PhD work found several results.Tests on different fission chambers made it possible to characterize the DP signals vis-a-vis the neutron signals and to find an operational DP-neutron discrimination method. The DP signals were localized and a technological solution was proposed and successfully implemented to eliminate them.A calculation tool for neutron pulse simulation was also designed and tested successfully.An experiment on the effect of temperature on the Paschen curve, in a closed gas volume, was designed and carried out giving initial interesting results

Дисертацію присвячено розробці методу визначення параметрів генератору медичного озону для ефективного підвищення його продуктивності за рахунок визначення параметрів його частин з урахуванням впливу факторів різної природи. На основі дослідження питання побудови генераторів медичного озону була доведена актуальність дослідження шляхів підвищення його ефективності. Наведені основні фактори, що впливають на продуктивність генератора озону. Запропонована математична модель на основі використання елементарного об’єму , що описує процеси, які відбуваються у розрядній камері при подачі напруги. Розроблено метод визначення параметрів розрядної камери генератору медичного озону, який дозволяє отримати найбільш ефективну конструкцію при заданих режимах роботи. Проведено дослідження розробленної автоматичної системи витрати робочого газу з поліпшеними характеристиками, яка дозволяє здійснювати основні методики озонотерапії. The thesis is devoted to the development of a method for determining the parameters of a medical ozone generator to effectively increase its productivity by determining the parameters of its constituent parts, taking into account the influence of factors of different nature. On the basis of the study of the issues of constructing generators of medical ozone, the relevance of the study of ways to increase its efficiency was proved. A mathematical model based on the use of a single volume, which describes the processes occurring in the discharge chamber when the voltage is applied, is proposed. The level of influence of the parameters of the working gas and the geometry of the discharge chamber on the performance of the ozone generator, as well as on the stability of the parameters of the ozone-oxygen mixture, which were set. A method has been developed for calculating the parameters of a discharge chamber of a medical ozone generator, which makes it possible to obtain the most efficient design for given operating modes. A study has been carried out on the development of an automated working gas consumption system with improved characteristics, which makes it possible to carry out the main methods of ozone therapy. The efficiency of this system has been proved on the basis of the work of a medical ozone generator layout during the passage of medical approbation.

As crescentes exigências sobre o desempenho de sistemas de bombeamento multifásico combinadas aos aspectos relacionados com a maior disponibilidade operacional desses sistemas, bem como as futuras condições de funcionamento atingindo pressões perto de 150 bar, destacam a importância de desenvolver modelos matemáticos precisos para prever o comportamento do desempenho nestes equipamentos. Nesta tese foi aperfeiçoado o modelo termo-hidráulico de uma bomba multifásica de tipo duplo parafuso desenvolvido por Nakashima (2005) e foram incluídos os efeitos da abertura gradual da última câmara, recirculação de líquido entre a sucção e descarga, transferência de calor através do liner e expansão térmica. Uma vez fornecidos os dados geométricos da bomba e as suas condições de operação, é possível calcular os parâmetros de desempenho mais importantes, como: eficiência volumétrica, vazão de sucção e refluxo, potência consumida e distribuição de pressão e temperatura. As equações implementadas foram desenvolvidas a partir dos balanços de massa e energia nas câmaras, tendo em conta a geometria da bomba e a variação das fendas durante sua operação. As rotinas e métodos necessários para a sua solução numérica foram implementadas utilizando programação orientada a objetos (C++). Os resultados fornecidos pelo modelo aperfeiçoado foram comparados com dados experimentais da literatura e uma boa concordância foi encontrada na faixa de até 95 % FVG, nos casos estudados, para bombas com e sem tecnologia de recirculação. Devido à complexidade dos fenômenos físicos envolvidos durante a operação da bomba, o impacto de cada um dos efeitos incorporados nos cálculos do modelo foi avaliado e discutido individualmente. Assim, foi demonstrada a grande influencia da recirculação, da abertura gradual da câmara de descarga e da expansão térmica nos cálculos dos parâmetros de operação mais importantes da bomba. Além disso, a transferência de calor pode ser considerada desprezível, já que seu valor é baixo quando comparado com a potência fornecida pela bomba e, portanto, não influencia os balanços de energia que determinam os estados termodinâmicos das câmaras. No entanto, esse efeito é necessário para calcular a distribuição de temperatura da bomba e a expansão térmica nos parafusos e no liner.<br>The increasing requirements about the performance of multiphase pumping systems combined with those related to a higher operational availability of such systems, as well as future operating conditions with pressure increase at about 150 bar, highlights the importance of developing accurate mathematical models to predict the performance behavior of these equipments. In this thesis it was improved the thermo-hydraulic behavior of a twin screw multiphase pump developed by Nakashima (2005), and were included the effects of the gradual opening of the last chamber, fluid recirculation between suction and discharge of the pump, heat transfer though the liner, thermal expansion and different working fluids (water-air and oil-gas). Giving pump geometry and operational conditions, it is possible to calculate the most important pump parameters performance, such as, volumetric efficiency, suction flow, back-flow, power consumption and pressure and temperature distribution. The model equations were developed based on mass and energy balances in the chambers taking into account the pump geometry and the clearance variation due to operation. Its implementation was made in C++. The results obtained by the new model were compared with experimental data of the bibliography, and a good accuracy was found in it with values till 95% GVF for the studied cases, with and without recirculation technology. Due to the physical phenomenon complexity related with the pump operation, the impact of each effect in the model calculations was evaluated and discussed separately. So, it was demonstrated the importance of the recirculation, the gradual opening of the last chamber and the thermal expansion in the calculation of the most important pump operation parameters. However, the heat transfer can be neglected, because its value is very low when compared with the pump power supply, and therefore, it does not influence the energy balances that determine thermodynamic state in the chambers. However, this effect is necessary to calculate the temperature distribution along the pump and the thermal expansion in the screws and the liner.

This master’s thesis deals with design of intake port for turbocharged Mazda 13B-T engine with Wankel-type rotating piston motion aiming for possible modifications leading to increase of performance parameters. The main objective of this thesis is to propose appropriate modifications in order to achieve increased torque in widest possible engine speed range.

The developments of new types of conductors and increase of voltage level have driven the need to carry out research on evaluating overhead line acoustic noise. The surface potential gradient of a conductor is a critical design parameter for planning overhead lines, as it determines the level of corona loss (CL), radio interference (RI), and audible noise (AN). The majority of existing models for surface gradient calculation are based on analytical methods which restrict their application in simulating complex surface geometries. This thesis proposes a novel method which utilizes both analytical and numerical procedures to predict the surface gradient. Stranding shape, proximity of tower, protrusions and bundle arrangements are considered within this model. One of UK National Grid's transmission line configurations has been selected as an example to compare the results for different methods. The different stranding shapes are a key variable in determining dry surface fields. The dynamic behaviour of water droplets subject to AC electric fields is investigated by experiment and finite element modelling. The motion of a water droplet is considered on the surface of a metallic sphere. To understand the consequences of vibration, the FEA model is introduced to study the dynamics of a single droplet in terms of phase shift between vibration and exciting voltage. Moreover, the evolution of electric field within the whole cycle of vibration is investigated. The profile of the electric field and the characteristics of mechanical vibration are evaluated. Surprisingly the phase shift between these characteristics results in the maximum field occurring when the droplet is in a flattened profile rather than when it is ‘pointed’.Research work on audible noise emitted from overhead line conductors is reviewed, and a unique experimental set up employing a semi-anechoic chamber and corona cage is described. Acoustically, this facility isolates undesirable background noise and provides a free-field test space inside the anechoic chamber. Electrically, the corona cage simulates a 3 m section of 400 kV overhead line conductors by achieving the equivalent surface gradient. UV imaging, acoustic measurements and a partial discharge detection system are employed as instrumentation. The acoustic and electrical performance is demonstrated through a series of experiments. Results are discussed, and the mechanisms for acoustic noise are considered. A strategy for evaluating the noise emission level for overhead line conductors is developed. Comments are made on predicting acoustic noise from overhead lines. The technical achievements of this thesis are summarized in three aspects. First of all, an FEA model is developed to calculate the surface electric field for overhead line conductors and this has been demonstrated as an efficient tool for power utilities in computing surface electric field especially for dry condition. The second achievement is the droplet vibration study which describes the droplets' behaviour under rain conditions, such as the phase shift between the voltage and the vibration magnitude, the ejection phenomena and the electric field enhancement due to the shape change of droplets. The third contribution is the development of a standardized procedure in assessing noise emission level and the characteristics of noise emissions for various types of existing conductors in National Grid.

碩士<br>國立清華大學<br>物理學系<br>100<br>This thesis describes the method of absorption spectroscopy of calcium ions to test our discharge chamber. The discharge chamber has been set up. It contains two conduction plates and a vacuum system in which the vacuum can reach 6.8×〖10〗^(-7) Torr. High-voltage DC and RF power source have been applied to the conduction plates. We attempt to use the 397 nm laser light to excite 40Ca+ ions from the ground state 4S1/2 to the excited state 4P1/2. The 397 nm light is produced by frequency doubling of the 795 nm laser. We use an enhancement cavity with a LBO crystal to increase the efficiency of frequency doubling. The 795 nm external cavity diode laser of power about 25 mW is sent into a tapered amplifier and the final output power of the 795 nm light is about 180 mW. As for the locking system, we demonstrate two laser frequency stabilization systems including the Hansch-Couillaud method and the Pound-Drever-Hall technique. The power of the blue light produced by SHG is about 40 micro watt. In the future, we plan to carry out the saturation absorption spectroscopy of calcium ions in a hollow cathode lamp. The frequency-stabilized laser at 397 nm will be used for laser cooling of trapped calcium ions.

Проведено теоретичний аналіз існуючих методів знешкодження газів, що містять сірководень. Проведено експериментальні дослідження з окиснення сірководню електрофізичним методом. Визначені основні параметри що вливають на ефективність протікання процесу очистки та отримана формула залежності кінцевої концентрації сірководню від технологічних параметрів процесу очищення сірководню в полях високої напруженості.<br>EN : The paper studies the most common sources of atmospheric pollution by hydrogen sulfide. The subject of its impact on the environment was thoroughly examined in all its bearings. Theoretical analysis of existing methods of neutralization of gases, containing hydrogen sulfide, was carried out. The work contains experimental studies on hydrogen sulfide oxidation by electrophysical method. The main parameters influencing the efficiency of the purification process were identified. The formula for the dependence of the final concentration of hydrogen sulfide on the technical parameters of hydrogen sulfide purification in high fields of tension is derived.

Diese Arbeit beschäftigt sich mit zwei miteinander verbundenen Themen: einer einzigartigen Laser-Testanlage für die Erforschung von gasgefüllten Detektoren sowie der Untersuchungen von Widerstandsplatten-Zählern (RPC) und der Messung von Gasparametern unter realistischen Bedingungen der Timing-RPC. Eine gepulste UV-Laser-Testanlage wurde im HZDR aufgebaut. Der Fokus des Pikosekunden-Lasers wird in einem mit Zählergas gefüllten Detektor an einer bestimmten Stelle platziert, um ein Laser-Plasma zu erzeugen, wobei eine definierte Anzahl freier Elektronen durch Gas-Ionisation in einem Gas-Volumen mit einer Genauigkeit im Mikrometerbereich erzeugt wird. Es ist eine von Beschleunigern unabhängige Methode, um Untersuchungen an gasgefüllten Detektoren im Labor durchzuführen. Proben von RPC-Detektoren wurden für Experimente mit der Laser-Testanlage entworfen und gefertigt. Es wurden Verfahren entwickelt, um die Wellenformen von Elektronenlawinen für verschiedene Elektronen-Driftlängen zu erfassen und die wichtigsten Gasparameter zu bestimmen: den effektiven Townsend-Koeffizienten und die Elektronendriftgeschwindigkeit. Erstmalig wurden die Gasparameter direkt für die hohe Feldstärke des Timings-RPC bei Atmosphärendruck unter Experimentbedingungen gemessen. Es wurde gezeigt, dass sich die Laser-Testanlage für präzise Messungen der Gasparameter eignet und das Potenzial besitzt, um zur Öko-Gas-Forschung für zukünftige RPCs beizutragen. Der Messbereich des elektrischen Feldes der Gasparameter bei Atmosphärendruck wurde verdoppelt, vom Bereich des Trigger-RPC bis zu dem des Timing-RPC.
