Abstract:
The capability to easily fi nd useful services in ubiquitous environments becomes increasingly critical in several application domains. Current approaches for ubiquitous services retrieval are mostly limited to the matching of their inputs/outputs possibly enhanced with some ontological knowledge. Recent research has demonstrated that this approach is not suffi cient to discover relevant services. Motivated by these concerns, this work proposes a service discovery platform in ubiquitous environments based on behavior matchmaking. We argue that in many situations the service composition process

The macrolide class of antibiotics has been widely used to treat bacterial infections for over 65 years. To date, all practical routes to clinically used macrolide antibiotics have relied on the chemical modification of the fermentation product erythromycin, a process referred to as semisynthesis. As bacterial resistance to semisynthetic macrolides emerges, a new approach to the discovery of structurally novel antibiotic candidates is urgently required. In the technique, library synthesis and hit identification are neatly combined into a single step. The scope of suitable reversible reactions that proceed under thermodynamic control in physiological conditions has been gradually expanded over the last decades, however DCC has thus far failed to gain traction as a techniq
