Abstract:
This article contends that technopopulism is a discursive formation that emerges from the convergence of two preexisting discourses: populism and technolibertarianism. Whereas these discourses are historically distinct the 2008 financial crisis and the 2011 wave of struggles have precipitated the political conditions for their intersection and hybridization. Such convergence produces both tensions and possibilities. On the one hand, technopopulism engenders a radically participatory model of democracy, which is ultimately anti-institutional as citizens cooperate and engage in sophisticated decision-making without the mediation of professional politicians. On the other hand, the more successful technopopulist parties—at least in the electoral arena—are all led by charismatic leaders who synthesize the positions that emerge from the netroots to mobilize them against the establishment. These two seemingly contradictory aspects precipitate in two variants of technopopulism: a leaderless-technocratic variant, which is derived from the open source mode of governance and from early experiments of the Global Justice Movement in networked self-government; and a leaderist-populist variant, which is more strictly focused on the electoral competition as an intrinsically reductive and thus hegemonic practice. The article concludes with a reflection on the discursive complementarity of these two variants and on the political tensions and challenges technopopulism faces in the current phase.

Abstract:
This research is conducted to elaborate discursive formations, formation and surveillance of discursive subject, and the subject’s struggle towards the discourse in Paolo Bacigalupi’s The Water Knife. Data that is successfully collected are analyzed using Foucault’s archeo-genealogy method in two steps: archeology reading and genealogy reading. The result shows that there four formations forming a discourse, namely object, enunciative, conceptual, and strategy formation. Then, there are also four mechanisms of discursive formation, which are centering individual from society, training of control the activity of the body, testing individual’s body in the certain degree, and creating subject as body-machine of discourse. The mechanism of surveillance is done through three ways, they are hierarchial control, norm forming, and examination as intensive control. The effect of the dominant discourse is the rebellion against the discourse. There are two rebellion ways in the novel, namely parrhesia as the discourse discontinuity and the care of the self as means against the discourse.

Abstract:
The relevance of the research is due to the growing interest in finding new approaches to describing the discursive personality in General and professional, in particular. The main goal of the research is to identify the features of cognitive style and determine its role in the formation of professional discursive personality of N. I. Novikov as a journalist. The research is carried out within the framework of cognitive-discursive and linguistic paradigms. As the main one, we use an interpretative analysis of the knowledge structures behind the language means of N. I. Novikov's discourse. The paper highlights and interprets the components of the cognitive style of N. I. Novikov's discursive personality in correlation with his language consciousness. The methods of perception of the world by N. I. Novikov's discursive personality, the peculiarities of representation of the world's realities in discourse, and the manner of transmitting information about the world are determined. Personal preferences of a discursive person, as well as cognitive, semiological and motivational ones are revealed. It is proved that the features of N. I. Novikov's professional discursive personality are determined by the specifics of his cognitive style, objectified by cognitive and linguistic mechanisms of discursive activity. A definition of the concept of "cognitive style" is proposed. The components of cognitive style are interpreted as an element of theory for the analysis of a discursive personality. The role of cognitive style in the formation of a professional discursive personality of a journalist of the 18th century is determined.

Abstract:
The aim of this article is to identify the linguocultural specificity of the content of lexical markers of freedom in Slavic languages (fixed in the dictionary definitions) as well as their discursive interpretation in Slavic legal texts to establish the factors of composition formation and functioning principles of the lexical markers of freedom as a discourse-forming semantic dominant of legal texts. The authors analyse the lexical markers of freedom in Slavic languages and in the texts of Constitutions as main legal documents of Slavic states. The analysis engages the linguistic and discursive meanings of lexical units ‘pravo’, ‘svoboda’ and their semantic and word-formative correlates as the mediums of the concept “freedom”, which is discourse forming for legal texts. The lexical content of the units ‘pravo’ and ‘svoboda’, fixed in the dictionaries of Slavic languages, is compared with their discursively conditioned content. The results of the analysis show that the composition and functioning of the lexical markers of freedom as a discourse-forming semantic dominant of legal texts in Slavic linguocultures is determined by the discursive-genre specificity of legal texts, their national legal culture, and language features. In this respect, the discursive conditioning of the functioning of markers of freedom plays a leading role. Other grounds are subject to it and are realized in accordance with the purpose of the discourse. The analysis contributes to solving the problem of institutional discourse formation and, specifically, their linguocultural and socio-cultural conditioning.

Abstract:
The paper is devoted to analyzing of the media brand routine’s socio discourse characteristics, where a brand embodied in the complex of strategic ideas. It is pointed that the use of the virtual media sphere is an essential tool for business strategies implementation. Social interaction as a discourse activity, taking place regarding to the brand in media space, is considered as an integral and discursive formation made up of the discursive practices’ system. Using concepts of discursive practices, discursive actors, and discourse communities allows rendering discursive brand communication in terms of Le Groupe Ducasse project. Discourse communities are identified according to discursive roles. Taking into consideration activity identifiers, all discursive practices can be divided into two major groups: brand-efferent and brend-afferent. Two types of discursive roles are specified: socio-categorical and situational. Socio-categorical roles, characterized by communicative behavioural stereotypes, are constant, developed according to socio-professional communities, and have afferent background. The brand’s leader, community of people involved with it, community of food experts, connoisseurs, and journalists are among them. Situational character of discursive roles is common for the representatives of the wide Internet community: consumers, potential customers, situational communicators. Brand discourse has interdiscursive character, and considered to be an activity directed discourse, while discursive practices help to implement the main strategic goal of image formation.

Abstract:
Purpose For the interested teacher, teacher educator and educational researcher seeking an entry point into how mindfulness relates to teachers’ work, the burgeoning and divergent appeals for the relevance of mindfulness to teachers can be bewildering. The purpose of this paper is to offer teachers, teacher educators and educational researchers a conceptual framework for understanding the different orientations and sources of mindfulness as it has been recommended to teachers. Design/methodology/approach Using Foucault’s (1972) concept of “discursive formations” as a heuristic device, this paper argues that mindfulness as pitched to teachers can be helpfully understood as arising from three distinct orientations. Findings Statements about mindfulness and its relevance to teachers emerge from three distinct discursive formations – traditional, psychological and engaged – that each constitute the “problem” faced by teachers respectively as suffering, stress or alienation. Specific conceptions of mindfulness are then advanced as a solution to these problems by certain authoritative subjects and institutions in ways that are taken as legitimate within each discursive formation. Originality/value Apart from offering a historical and discursive mapping of the different discursive formations from which mindfulness is pitched to teachers, this paper also highlights how each of these orientations impies a normative view of what a teacher should be. Suggestions for further historical research are also offered along the lines of genealogy, epistemology and ontology.

Palavras-chave: Teorias da Aprendizagem; Sujeito Discursivo; Psicologia do Desenvolvimento.ABSTRACTThe present article aims to problematize the relationship between some conceptions of learning and the production of subject forms in the educational field. Abstract:
<p>This article investigates how discursive tensions concerning language use and worldviews amongst Norwegian actors in Green Care services influence communication, collaboration and the dynamics of policy formation. The study combines qualitative content analysis and discourse analysis based on individual interviews and multi-stage focus group interviews. It focuses on a critical perspective in the analysis of interests and perspectives that dominate the field of Green Care. The study shows how Green Care is understood based on the actors’ perceptions of the users’ problem situation and their recovery process. The results also highlight the conditions for good communication and collaboration amongst the actors in the field. The overarching challenge for the actors involved is in creating cultural change where both the ‘green’ and ‘care’ are seen as legitimate qualities. Green Care must be continually explored and nuanced based on the healing potential inherent in both nature and basic human compassion. Adequate meeting places for the actors involved should be established in order to develop a mutual understanding of each other’s interests, intentions and perspectives. In doing so Green Care can become a form of social and environmental entrepreneurship integrating the value of community, the autonomy of individual voices, natural and social connectedness, and the importance of supportive relationships on the path towards recovery.</p>

Abstract:
The inaugural address has received a fair bit of scholarly attention due to the strength in the argument that it occupies an important position amongst discourses that can be termed political; and of course, the recognition that it performs an important political function within the state. The primary interest in the inaugural address has mainly been from the field of rhetoric and composition. This study approaches the inaugural from a Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) perspective that allows for an examination of the discourse of governance as it is ideologically expressed in the inaugural address. Four (4) inaugural addresses of four (4) presidents within Ghana’s Fourth Republican tradition were purposefully selected to create a mini corpus for the study. Using the dialectical relational approach and drawing specifically on the concepts of subject positioning, agency in discourse and intertextuality, the analysis examines the ideological discursive formations of governance expressed in the inaugurals as discourse types as well as looks at the issues of subject positioning and agency and their ideological implications in the inaugural addresses. The analysis reveals that though there is an extent to which the ideological discursive formation of collectivism has been naturalised in the addresses, there exist differences in terms of how the subject is characterised within this collectivism. It also reveals that there are differences in how the principals of the two political traditions express agency within the addresses. We argue that these differences do construct and are constrained by the different ideological discursive formations of the two political traditions that have dominated Ghana’s political space.

Abstract:
The high requirements for training a military specialist include improving the quality of language education for students of military universities, which can be accomplished by reforming ineffective teaching methods in a foreign language. Moreover, when updating and improving existing methods and developing technologies of teaching foreign languages, it is necessary to take into account the specifics of the educational institution, the closeness and isolation of the military organization. Given these features, modern methods of teaching foreign languages in military universities should be aimed at the formation of professional competence, and the development of a versatile personality, able to express their opinions competently. Formation of foreign language discursive competence in military specialists will not only effectively and profoundly acquire practical knowledge, but will also help to develop professional motivation for learning a foreign language. In order to study the ways of formation of discursive competence in students of higher military educational institutions it is advisable to: identify the essence of discursive competence, giving it the most capacious definition; determine the structure of the phenomenon under study and identify its main components; to determine the specifics of discursive competence in higher military education. Based on most definitions, foreign-language discursive competence should be developed as a pragmatic ability, selecting as a basis the skills and competencies that will be most relevant within a particular military specialty. Modern training technologies and developments, based on the basic principles of teaching a foreign language for professional purposes, can significantly improve the efficiency of the process of learning a foreign language

ABSTRACT: This paper, based on the Discourse Analysis perspective articulated by Pêcheux, discusses the concept of work by analyzing the sense effects produced within the official discourse and in the debate discourse – which are materialized in the Copyright Laws 5.988, of December 14, 1973, and 9.610, of February 19, 1998, and in the texts created during the reshaping process of the Copyright Law 9.610/1998, respectively. Mobilizing, mainly, the notions of institutional memory, discursive memory and discursive formation in the analysis of discursive sequences, which are representative of the discourses considered, we observe a movement that goes from the stabilization to the sliding of the senses for the notion of work. As the stability is guaranteed by the return of a memory that maintains and officializes it, the sliding is made possible by a memory that changes, moves and is affected by the Internet age. The notion of work presents itself, therefore, as opaque, contradictory and political. In short, this notion of work is constructed historically and discursively.KEYWORDS: copyright; work; senses; stability; sliding.

Abstract:
Abstract This paper theorizes the role of iftāʾ, the process of producing fatwas (Islamic legal opinions), on the formation of Muslim societies. I argue in this paper that iftāʾ is an ethical embedding mechanism that historically carried out this function through a set of discursive and nondiscursive relations. “Ethical embedding” signifies the situating of the various spheres of the social world into an ethical domain. As for iftāʾs discursive relations, the historical manifestations of its procedures and the production of fatwas represented a discursive formation because they manifested a particular regularity in their discursive operations. As for their nondiscursive relations, fatwas position actions and practices within the Islamic moral field through a definite social process. Finally, these operations generate a social field of power that structures the relations between the individuals and institutions of iftāʾ and induces personal dispositions that facilitate the practice of the norms embedded in the fatwa.

Abstract:
After the 1997 financial crisis, South Korea abruptly transformed into a neoliberal state. This sudden neoliberal turn necessitated an invention of new subjectivities, making it one of the nation’s most urgent projects. Various efforts were made by the state and market, and among them the notion of ‘creativity management’ stood out. First employed by Samsung Group, creativity management in a wide variety of forms was soon emulated by numerous organizations in South Korea, private or public. This article, drawing upon Foucault’s notion of governmentality, examines how self-governing, neoliberal subjectivities were constructed by the practices and discourses of creativity management. For this, we performed a multilevel analysis of governmentality at the macro (societal), meso (organizational), and micro (individual) levels by using data collected from various media sources and in-depth interviews conducted at two large Korean firms. The analysis reveals that the macro-meso-micro frame is a useful way of understanding the processes by which creativity discourse at a societal level is materialized in organizational programs and how both the discourse and programs influence subjectivities. The finding of this study also suggests an almost universal applicability of the governmentality notion in explaining the advent of neoliberal subjects even in a previously authoritarian state like South Korea. The article concludes by elaborating on these and other contributions in the discussion section.

Abstract:
The concept and phenomenon of discourse as a social phenomenon has been of interest to researchers-methodologists for a long time. The diversity of opinions and approaches to definition also contributes to the development of modern discourse theory. In the formation of social in-stitutions, discursive characteristics take on a new meaning and are modified for individual partic-ipants in the communication process. We propose the author’s definition of the term “pedagogical discourse”, which is understood as the process of communicative-speech interaction of communi-cants, carried out in order to achieve certain pedagogical goals that contribute to the socialization of the student in society. We also propose the author’s interpretation of the term “educational dis-course”, which is a set of educational and methodological techniques aimed at increasing the level of training of participants in the formation of the communication process between the teacher and the student. We present a model for the formation of the discourse space of the educational environment of the university, represented by three types of discourses – pedagogical, educational and academic. The interrelation of discourses among themselves determines the structure of the discourse space and involves the creation of educational-pedagogical, academic-pedagogical and educational-pedagogical discourse. Each of the types of discourse serves a specific purpose. The work also explores and analyzes the existing definitions of discourse space. We bring the following definition of discursive space – a complexly organized structure within a social institution, in the center of which is an individual producing discourses interconnected with each other taking into account linguistic and extralinguistic norms and sociocultural implications.

Abstract:
This article is devoted to describing results of conceptualization of the idea of mind at the stage of maturity. Delineated the acquisition by the energy system (mind) of stable morphological characteristics, which associated with such a pivotal formation as the discourse. A qualitative structural and ontological sign of the system transition to this stage is the transformation of the verbal morphology of the mind into a discursive one. The analysis of the poststructuralist understanding of discourse in the context of the dispersion of meanings (Foucault) made it possible to formulate a notion of it as a meaning that is constituted by the relation between the discursive practice and the worldview, regarded as a meta-discourse or a global discursive formation. In consequence of this relationship, a discrete and simultaneous scattering of meanings arises, the procedural side of which is a concrete discourse, and its productive aspect is linked with the creation of a local discursive formation. Based on this view it is proposed a logical formula of discourse, which takes into account the entropy of the language and the entropy of the worldview, as a particular manifestation of the mind entropy. Using this formula and considering the reactive nature of discourse, it was developed a classification, which included such types of discourses as reactive, suggestive, synthetic and creative. In turn, the proposed types of discourses are correlated with the specific characteristics of certain activities, as a psychological category. Also, it was considered the translation of the structure of discourse dissipation from the cognitive plan into the affective sphere because of which it is formed a hierarchy of significances, which performs the sense-forming function. It was analyzed the inverse influence of the hierarchy of significances on the structure of meanings dispersion and for respective account it was introduced a conditional coefficient of the value deviation of the significance of the meanings. This parameter reflects the sense correction of the meaning that occurs in the process of the emergence of discourse from discursive practice. Thus, the discourse is presented as a complex dynamic formation of the mind arising at the maturity stage of the system as a result of the combined effect of entropic dispersion of meanings and the value deviation of their significances. Key words: mind, discourse, discursive practice, discursive formation, system, structural ontology, meaning, dispersion of meanings, hierarchy of significances, sense.

As in the case of mathematics, ethnomathematics-based discursive acts concern the formation of: possibilities, rationality, structures and artefacts, authority, and overlooking. Abstract:
Questions of community and identity dominate discussions of cyberspace. Recent work in a variety of disciplines points to a fluidity of identity within virtual environments that is both a determining factor in how the space is used and also a way to begin theorizing the possibilities of the space. Mark Poster, Sherry Turkle, Alluecquere Stone, Lisa Nakamura, and Jennifer Mnookin are a few of the scholars who have provided wide-ranging analyses that resonate with one another in their portrayals of dispersed and fragmented presences in virtual communities. These questions of identity have variously raised issues relating to the body, and much current research on cyberspace addresses the ways in which the material is implicated in the virtual. This paper explores how discursive formations of identity affect community development in virtual environments, primarily with regard to experiments in governance within online communities. In particular, the paper examines how the collaborative nature of cyberspace complicates effective use of virtual environments for complex community functions. While focusing on rhetorical theory, the paper argues that traditional relations between speaker and audience are blurred substantially in cyberspace, sufficiently so that attempts at establishing a kind of communicative ethics online are difficult at best. The premise that cyberspace communities, in particular MUDs (multiuser domains) and MOOs (multiuser object oriented environments), are writing environments wherein discursive negotiation plays a major role in community formation frames the analysis of the rhetorical function of place. Although new media, and increased bandwidth, are expanding the kinds of sign systems that are used to communicate in cyberspace, the claim to identity online is still very much a matter of discursive choice.

Abstract:
The article focuses on the issues of discursive practice of fake news as a certain type and format of social practice, which organizes social life by falsified means, determines communicative forms of individual behavior in typical situations in order to mislead, control minds and behavior of individuals and / or social groups through preferencial access to mass media resources, which promptly respond to any innovative processes in society, indicate the major transformations of society, changes in a particular community. The study identifies extra lingual factors of discourse formation that led to the creation of important social, cognitive, technological, political and ethical issues, as well as understanding the conditions and social practices under which there was a possibility of such discourse practices. The research reveals that modern discursive formation that correlate with specific technological, political, information and communicative means of virtual and real media resources have formed specific interactive and communicative/discursive practices of fake news as a hybrid form of information production and dissemination in order to manipulatively influence the public opinion, political decisions in the best interests of dominated groups.

Abstract:
My commentary on Held (2020) aims at offering a broader perspective about epistemic violence in psychology while critically examining her positions concerning objectivity and essentialism. Following Michel Foucault, who developed the idea of episteme, that is, the codification and structure that determines the knowledge formation of a given epoch, I suggest that psychology can be regarded as an ideological sociocultural formation and as a discursive practice. In line with these premises, Held’s article can be regarded as a “text,” which, in reproducing the divides between objective versus subjective, folk versus scientific conceptions, relativism versus realism, and so forth, is functional to the maintenance of hegemony. I will focus on the argumentative and discursive strategies that Held adopts in her defense of an objectivist ontology and epistemology against Indigenous and critical psychology.
