Abstract:
Abstract The implementation of microelectronics, also known as multi-chip modules (MCM), is extensive in automotive, downhole and aerospace applications. MCMs have already demonstrated high-temperature performance, step improvement in reliability, and the potential to reduce product cost through miniaturization and integration of more functions. However, there are barriers preventing wider adoption of MCM technology in downhole applications. High non-recurring expenditures (NRE) charges increase development costs. Long substrate lead times prolong the time to market. Lengthy design iterations

Abstract The article presents the results in the scope of analysis and improvement of the galvanized wire production process with the use of Six Sigma's DMAIC cycle. The basic problem was identified - incorrect wire diameters after galvanizing and specific tools and methods were used to analyze this problem and look for its solution. The potential of Pareto analysis, SPC method, control plan, 5WHY analysis was used. As a result of the analyzes carried out, the source cause was identified - contaminated containers dispensing the preparation maintaining the temperature in the galvanizing unit. T

Abstract:
Purpose Prospective epidemiologic surveillance of invasive mold disease (IMD) in hematology patients is hampered by the absence of a reliable laboratory prompt. This study develops an expert system for electronic surveillance of IMD that combines probabilities using natural language processing (NLP) of computed tomography (CT) reports with microbiology and antifungal drug data to improve prediction of IMD. Methods Microbiology indicators and antifungal drug–dispensing data were extracted from hospital information systems at three tertiary hospitals for 123 hematology-oncology patients. Of this

Internet of Things (IoT) systems deployments are becoming both ubiquitous and business critical in numerous business verticals, both for process automation and data-driven decision-making based on distributed sensors networks. Beneath the simplicity offered by these solutions, we usually find complex, multi-layer architectures—from hardware sensors up to data analytics systems. These rely heavily on software running on the on-location gateway devices designed to bridge the communication between the sensors and the cloud. This will generally require updates and improvements—raising deployment a

Abstract Background Automated unit-dose dispensing system (ADS) of oral solid medication is a complex and sensitive production process in the drug distribution system. Hence, an appropriate training of hospital pharmacy technicians (HPT) is essential. A basic training (observational and practical) of 3 weeks is first organized to evaluate the HPT, followed by an interview with both the pharmacist and the HPT chief. The importance of the human factor (daily routine and repetitive tasks) showed by the risks analysis within this process has led us to search new learning methods to keep the team e
