A problem in immunohematology is to define the antibody quality which is related to its affinity expressed by the equilibrium constant. The activity of an antibody can be measured by the strength of its interaction, related to the adhesive energy exchanged during RBC agglutination which depends on the antigen–antibody liaison strength. To estimate this adhesive energy, two methods are used in this paper. Firstly, the dissociation behaviour of suspended RBC agglutinates was analysed by laser backscattering intensity (r) in a Couette flow. Backscattered intensity issued from shear‐induced mechan

Antibody titers were measured by using the Elecsys and LIAISON anti–SARS-CoV-2 S assays, and T-cell response was assessed by using interferon-γ release immunoassay technology. Overall, 76.3% (1

The paper reports a descriptive survey of the referrals received by a new psychiatric liaison service in Rawalpindi in the first 2 years. The survey showed a rapid increase in use of the service, particularly by the emergency department. There was a lower proportion of referrals for self-harm and substance misuse than occurs in similar services in high-income countries but a higher proportion of patients presenting with dissociative (conversion) disorders. The large proportion of patients who had abnormal findings on physical examination remains unexplained and warrants further investigation.

Studies highlight a significant prevalence of diagnosable psychological comorbidities in patients with physical disorders, often impacting health outcomes. Despite its pivotal role, CLP referral rates in most parts of the world remain low, with few institutions offering specialized CLP services. Furthermore,
