Abstract:
The purpose of this study is to investigate how the recent distance examinations at KTH were perceived by its users. The prevailing circumstances in the world as a result of COVID-19 have urgently created a need for both teaching and examination at a distance. By conducting qualitative interviews with both teachers and students from different academic backgrounds combined with data collection via surveys, previous studies and statistics the aim has been to investigate how distance examinations are perceived by all involved parties. The study shows both students and teachers have experienced st

Abstract:
The purpose of this study was to evaluate empirically the effectiveness of the new online career workshop titled "Ex-Scape" based on career knowledge and skill outcomes. Although numerous studies have been conducted on distance education classes in various disciplines, little research was found on the effectiveness of web-based learning in career development courses. Quantitative methods were used to determine a numerical score. Pre- and posttests were calculated and recorded in SPSS 11.5 and paired t-tests determined whether or not there was significant difference in the scores between the pr

Abstract:
Airburst projectiles increase the effectiveness of air defense, by forming clouds of small pellets. In this work, in order to evaluate the effectiveness of airburst projectiles, Single Shot Kill Probability (SSKP) is computed at different burst distances by using three lethality functions defined from different measures of effectiveness. These different measures are target coverage, number of sub-projectile hits on the target and kinetic energy of sub-projectiles after burst. Computations are carried out for two different sub-projectile distribution patterns, namely circular and ring patterns.
