Abstract:
Ametrida centurio Gray, 1847 is a small fruit-eating bat endemic to the Neotropics. In Brazil, its known distribution is limited to the Amazon basin. We report the first record of A. centurio in the Atlantic Forest and extend its distribution in approximately 1,500 km from the previously known easternmost locality. The record was made in the Guaribas Biological Reserve, located in the state of Paraíba, northeastern Brazil. We intended to evaluate whether this record is accidental or might correspond to an emerging pattern for northeastern Brazil’s canopy.

Let M be an almost contact metric manifold of dimension n = 2m + 1. The distribution D of the manifold M admits a natural structure of a smooth manifold of dimension n = 4m + 1. On the manifold M, is defined a linear connection that preserves the distribution D; this connection is determined by the interior connection that allows parallel transport of admissible vectors along admissible curves. The assigment of the linear connection is equivalent to the assignment of a Riemannian metric of the Sasaki type on the distribution D. Certain tensor field of type (1,1) on D defines a so-called prolon

The genus Homoeomma has thirteen species distributed in Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Peru and Uruguay. In Argentina, two species are recorded, Homoeomma elegans in Misiones province and H. uruguayense in Buenos Aires, Entre Ríos and Santa Fe provinces. The objective of this work is to provide the first record of Homoeomma uruguayense in the mountainous system of central Argentina, belonging to western record of the genus in this country. In addition, we provide data on natural history of the species, some notes on its sexual behavior and through the species distribution modeling we discussed a

Abstract C-terminal amino acid sequences of two phytochromes sharing less than 40 per cent homology and two transmitter modules of bacterial sensor proteins that share homologies with phytochromes were examined by hydrophobic cluster analysis. Striking coincidences in distribution, size, shape and orientation of hydrophobic and hydrophilic domains of the bacterial transmitter modules and phytochrome sequences were revealed. The results corroborate the view that the folding of the homologous regions of the two groups of proteins is similar. Since the mode of action of phytochrome is not know

The carbon isotopic signatures of n-alkanes, in combination with information about the distributions of diagnostic biomarkers have been used to classify Perth Basin oils according to the age of the source. These data confirm that most of the oil in the northern Perth Basin originates from the basal section of the Kockatea Shale.Oils exclusively from Triassic sources are isotopically light with n-alkane 813C values near −34%o PDB. Body shards are by far the most numerous, accounting for three quarters of the total, while undecorated free-blown glassware is vastly predominant (92% of the whole corpus). Among the 75 decorated shards, the most numerous (48%) are wheel-cut or engraved shards, followed by moulded and two-coloured shards. Colourless shards slightly supersede green shards. Lockdown policies, at the forefront to mitigate the spread of the coronavirus, have led governments to face a trade-off between health and recessionary impacts. To deal with the devastating economic impacts of the pandemic, governments around the world have announced stimulus packages. Given the fiscal burden of health-oriented policies, this study investigates the impact of lockdown policies on fiscal policy stimulus packages.
