Verny, Jérôme. "Transport de marchandises en Europe et développement durable : analyse du découplage absolu par la distance." Thesis, Littoral, 2013. http://www.theses.fr/2013DUNK0410.
Full textThis thesis deals with the sustainability of the freight transport system in Europe and France thanks to the coupling between freight transport and economic growth. Among the underlying mechanisms and factors, distance as an object of research allows us to highlight the evolution of geographical location strategies productive and distributive activities. The methodological approach of geographicallt decoupling aims to help understand concepts of a limited dependence on distance. The empirical study, divided into product families, shows that the levers are mainly in the transport service-based component. Their application to all stakeholders in the global supply chain will pass through incentives from public sources
Debril, Thomas. "Qualités des marchandises et préférences des marchands : la régulation des marchés des produits de la mer." Paris, Institut d'études politiques, 2007. http://www.theses.fr/2007IEPP0041.
Full textIn this thesis, the author discusses three different dynamics of commercialization that underline alternative forms of production and consumption in the case of seafood market. First, the dynamic of the supermarket industry and its suppliers is described, concentrating on the nature of their exchanges and their impact on the quality of the product. Next, the opposite dynamics is discussed. The actors of this market are redefining the nature of their exchanges in organizing their relationships to qualify their products. At last but not least, between them, the merchants accept to behave more foreseeably. In this more structured market, transactions rely on long term relationships and quality is stabilized. The author concludes that the seafood market evolution and regulation are directly influenced by the nature of the product and the nature of the merchant relationship
Radhoui, Hamdi. "Problème de gestion de distribution : Cas du problème de tournées de véhicules avec collecte et livraison de marchandises dans un réseau multimodal." Thesis, Normandie, 2020. http://www.theses.fr/2020NORMLH28.
Full textThe distribution of urban freight is essential to the functioning of urban economies. However, it contributes significantly to problems such as traffic congestion andenvironmental pollution. In order to meet the challenges of modern society, the organizationof logistics processes requires synergistic optimization effects of physical processes and theapplication of innovative technologies. The emphasis is on the continuous optimization ofprocesses with the aim of providing the end customer with faster, better and more profitableservices. The main objective of this research is to contribute to the greening of urban freightdistribution, quality and speed of services and minimization of transport costs by developingnew mathematical models and algorithms concerning the problem of collection and deliveryof goods. Thus, this thesis shows the importance of the integration of the drone with thetrucks in the distribution of some goods

"Urban freight consolidation platforms as a means of decreasing costs and enhancing performance of urban logistics chains within the framework of a market economy: Application to Brussels-Capital." Doctoral thesis, Universite Libre de Bruxelles, 2016. http://hdl.handle.net/2013/ULB-DIPOT:oai:dipot.ulb.ac.be:2013/232373.
Full textUrban consolidation centres are a popular measure in city logistics, which aims at rationalizing delivery trips in an urban area. However, although their environmental benefits have been extensively addressed and documented, many of the implementation cases fail to reach sufficient participation and demonstrate a viable business model. Some of the main barriers linked to their implementation are the financial concerns and the stakeholder acceptance. Consequently, the success of these schemes has often been subject to a strong regulatory and financial support from public authorities. Recently, new forms of urban consolidation centre operating models offering a range of value-added activities have appeared, allowing a better integration of these facilities in the overall supply chain. Furthermore, a large number of recent experiments focus on small-scale freight consolidation, relaxing the requirements for material and human resources. The objective of this thesis is to investigate the potential of urban freight consolidation platforms to decrease the costs and improve the performance of urban logistics chains. In particular, the thesis will address factors that influence the viability of these schemes in a framework of market economy. The thesis is structured around three research questions that address (1) the viability of the traditional urban consolidation centre model based on transhipment and consolidation activities (2) the impact of market-based accompanying measures for urban consolidation centre project implementation and the resulting level of stakeholder support and (3) the impact of new approaches in urban freight consolidation platforms and in particular those of new urban consolidation centres operating models and micro-consolidation platforms. By tackling these aspects, the thesis demonstrates that the traditional urban consolidation centre model can present a viable alternative but that the success of the scheme is subject to a large number of requirements that are often difficult to meet in practice. The thesis highlights accompanying measures that can both increase the expected participation in the consolidation scheme as well as the stakeholder acceptance of the scheme, and those that meet a less positive stakeholder response. Finally, the thesis identifies the potential benefits of new operating models of urban consolidation centres and of small-scale consolidation.

Ducret, Raphaëlle. "Nouvelles organisations de la distribution urbaine des colis sur le dernier kilomètre : innover par une approche spatiale." Thesis, Paris, ENMP, 2014. http://www.theses.fr/2014ENMP0028/document.
Full textWith the spread of new technologies and the advent of economic and social changes, the volume of parcels has grown in France. Parcel deliveries in cities have similarly experienced an important increase. Deliveries have become more and more complex because of changing client patterns, urban constraints and cities' concerns for sustainability. The growing complexity of the ‘last mile' delivery poses economic, organizational, environmental and political challenges to parcel providers. Putting the spatial organization of cities back at the heart of the creation of new logistics organizations and integrating spatial studies to urban logistics techniques and tools, in particular in modelling, can be means of innovation. Until now spatial studies have been largely under-used in UF. This study will provide an in-depth analysis of the relationships between urban spatial organization, urban form and UF. Based on those results, the thesis provides the first elements of a spatial urban freight modelling approach. The modelling approach will enable the creation of a decision support tool able to identify homogeneous urban zones based on urban form, economic and political characteristics in order to offer the most suitable delivery solution to each zone of a city
Lafkihi, Mariam. "The role of service procurement mechanisms in collaborative freight transport networks : design and investigation using simulation and gamification approaches." Thesis, Université Paris sciences et lettres, 2020. http://www.theses.fr/2020UPSLM053.
Full textThe importance of freight transport is amplified today by the rapid boom in E-commerce, and in particular new online-to-offline business strategies. To boost competitiveness, e-tailers and logistics service providers have devoted adequate efforts to managing express fulfillment services, e.g., same-day delivery (one or two-hour delivery), and various distribution and delivery channels. This has resulted in massive, high-frequency shipments with short lead times and fluctuating volumes. Moreover, freight transport organizations have undergone rapid changes. New markets and new technologies have emerged that will probably require innovative solutions as efficiency is still low. There is thus a strong motivation, involving economic, social, and environmental objectives, to develop more sustainable and efficient freight transport systems. In this vein, horizontal collaboration has been largely studied, and its effectiveness and efficiency in freight transport have been proven in the recent literature (Pan et al., 2019). In particular, Collaborative Transport Networks are a horizontal collaboration solution attracting increasing attention. Given the important role of freight transport in logistics and the multiple, compounding challenges faced by actors, an innovative, effective, and sustainable management of transport services procurement is needful for the emerging new collaborative transport networks. Moreover, new collaborative incentive mechanisms and rules are required to manage interactions between all the independent stakeholders in such networks. This dissertation intends to explore collaborative mechanisms that manage the interactions between actors and guide the self-interested decisions of individuals toward an optimal global solution in such a way that these individuals are motivated to choose the optimal and rational solutions. This dissertation provides a picture of existing mechanisms for freight transport service procurement, challenges components of existing research, and provides ground for further research

Full textNowadays, the transport goods problem occupies an important place in the economic life of modern societies. The PDPTW (Pickup and delivery problem with Time Windows) is one which a large part of researchers was interested. This is an optimization vehicles routing problem which must meet requests for transport between suppliers and customers satisfying precedence and capacity.Researchers developed in this thesis concerns the resolution of the PDPTW with multiple vehicles (m-PDPTW). The latter was treated in two cases: static and dynamic. We have proposed some approaches to solving the m- PDPTW, based on genetic algorithms, multicriteria optimization and the lower bounds, and this to minimize a number of criteria such as: the vehicles number, the total travel cost, and the total tardiness time.Computational results indicate that the proposed approach gives good results with a total tardiness equal to zero with a tolerable cost
Ben, Said Asma. "Selective vehicle routing problems in collaborative urban transport networks." Thesis, Compiègne, 2019. http://www.theses.fr/2019COMP2478.
Full textThe goal of this thesis is to plan urban freight distribution in a collaborative logistic system. The collaboration consists in exchanging transportation requests between carriers to increase the efficiency of their operations. More precisely, when solving variants of the wellknown vehicle's routing problems in collaborative context, less kilometers can be driven and higher prices can be collected. The underlying operational problem is therefore the selective vehicle routing problem in which not all customers can be served, but a "profit" is gained for each served one. In this thesis, we firstly address the Capacitated Team Orienteering Problem (CTOP), a selective variant of the VRP in which capacity and travel time limitations are imposed to vehicles. We propose a variable space search metaheuristic that alternates between two different search spaces to solve CTOP. Then, we consider pickup and delivery requests to study two variants of the selective pickup and delivery problem: the PDP with Time Windows and Reserved requests (PDPTWPR) and the Clustered PDPTWPR. The first aims to choose suitable selective requests to be transported in addition to reserved ones. Metaheuristics are proposed to deal with the single-objective and the multi-objective sides of the problem. The second takes into consideration groups of requests that must be served by only one carrier. Finally, we consider the Capacitated Profitable Tour Problem (CPTP) in which goods need to be distributed from the depot to customers. We propose an exact method based on Integer Linear Programming to solve this problem. A set of cuts specific to CPTP is proposed in order to speed up the solution process. Experiments were conducted on a variety of instances of different sizes to demonstrate the effectiveness of our solution methods
