This master‘s thesis deals with the calculation of losses depending on the configuration of the distribution network. The first part focuses on the general theory regarding some used calculation methods of steady operation. The next part is theoreticly dedicated to the technical losses, possibilities of their influencing and their calculation. In the practical part is carried out the choice of calculation method of steady operation. This method is implicated into the proposed program in programming environment MATLAB.Furthermore, on the basis of a partial measurement in the distribution networ

Abstract:
This thesis explores the physical behaviour of industrial pressure reducing valves (PRVs) used around the world for effective water distribution and network pressure reduction. The mathematical models developed as part of this project showcase the steady state and dynamic behaviour of PRVs when changes are made to its control system or external variables within water distribution networks (WDNs) acting to disturb the PRV system (used to simulate water demand within the network). Analyses on the performance of the models to quantify any pressure setpoint offsets or low PRV head loss complicatio

Abstract:
Time-series power flow simulations are consecutive power flow calculations on each time step of a set of load and generation profiles that represent the time horizon under which a network needs to be analyzed. These simulations are one of the fundamental tools to carry out cost-benefit analyses of grid planing and operation strategies in the presence of distributed energy resources, unfortunately, their execution time is quite substantial. In the specific case of cost-benefit analyses the execution time of time-series power flow simulations can easily become excessive, as typical time horizons

Abstract:
Over the past few decades, wireless local area networks (WLANs) have been widely deployed for data communication in indoor environments such as offices, houses, and airports. In order to fairly and efficiently use the unlicensed frequency band that Wi-Fi devices share, the devices follow a set of channel access rules, which is called a wireless medium access control (MAC) protocol. It is known that wireless devices following the 802.11 standard MAC protocol, i.e. the distributed coordination function (DCF), suffer from packet collisions when multiple nodes simultaneously transmit. Abstract:
The future operation of public low voltage networks has to consider increased decentralised generation using photovoltaic systems for residential application. For utilities it is necessary to determine the maximum permissible installed power of residential photovoltaic systems in sections of the low-voltage network. For this purpose a method based on modelling low-voltage network structures, occurring loads and insolation situations is presented and demonstrated. The maximum permissible installed power of residential photovoltaic systems is fundamentally determined by the structure of the sett

The aim of this thesis is a modification of the distribution network (DS) of the city of Brno to ensure power supply in the required quantity and quality for end consumers. Calculation of steady - state operation of distribution network (DS) of Brno is performed in the programme PAS DAISY Off-Line v.4.00 Bison. On the basis of available data (dispatching scheme, load current of stem lines and reserved power of wholesale customers) we will analyze the steady-state of network. We will find out which of the 110/22 kV transformer stations, cable and overhead lines are overloaded and perform networ
