Det är en studie i vilken nyutexaminerade lärare kan ta del av erfarna lärares tips, upplevelser och reflektioner kring svenskämnet. We have an impoverished upstate New Yorker versus relatively comfortable Californian, bisexual romantic nomad versus lesbian monogamist, nihilist versus life-affirming enthusiast, and agnostic-atheist versus secular Jew. Tidigare forskning visar på ett positivt samband mellan styrketräning och löpekonomi. I föreliggande studie undersöktes effekten av djupa explosiva knäböjningar på löpekonomin hos långdistanslöpare. I studien deltog elva deltagare varav sex i interventionsgruppen och fem i kontrollgruppen. Styrketräningen skulle vara tidseffektivt, max 20 min och då enbart en övning. Abstract:

This paper examines Djuna Barnes's Modernist masterpiece, Nightwood, by exploring the author's particular styles of writing. As an ironist, a master of spectacle, and a visual artist, Barnes's distinct stylistic roles allow the writer to construct a strange fictional world that transcends simple categorization and demands close reading. Through textual analysis, consideration of how Barnes's characterization, and engagement with key critical interpretations lead to the conclusion that Nightwood's primary aim is to present the reader with an image of his or her own individual estrangement.

This thesis considers the impact of German Expressionism on Anglo-American writers by focusing on the work of Wyndham Lewis and Djuna Barnes. Barnes' characters create and perform their identities as an attempt to escape or subvert patriarchal norms and societal prejudices. In analyzing the marginalized performative identity categories (race, class, gender, sexuality), one can glean an understanding of the complex social tensions present during Barnes' era, and understand the socially constructed, confining nature of identity itself.

This thesis examines the role of affect, subjectivity, and intertextuality in the major works of Djuna Barnes (1892-1982). I propose a theory of Barnes’s modernist textuality based on the traumatic structure of belated understanding; specifically, I consider how remembering trauma involves a re-enactment and witnessing of something that, paradoxically, did not exist prior to that re-enactment and witnessing.
