The purpose of this study is to find out if dolls are used as an artifact in preschools for communication, language and identity development - based on previous research. It also examines the teachers' opinions about what a doll or puppet is. To be able to look in to this I sent out a survey with questions and got responses from 176 informants within the preschool. The result shows that dolls are frequently used by many preschool teachers, but around 40-50% had not taken part in any research or education on the subject. DON is often found in wheat that is infected with the plant fungal disease Fusarium head blight. The contamination of wheat by DON is a major wheat industry concern since it affects human and livestock health. Furthermore, DON reduces wheat grain yield and quality. Abstract:
The nAChRs are pentameric ligand-gated ionic channels that respond to the endogenous neurotransmitter acetylcholine, with the α4β2 and α7 subtypes being highly expressed in human brain. Those receptors are involved in many neurologic disorders such as Alzheimer’s disease and Schizophrenia, as well as in nicotine addiction. In this context, molecular modelling is a powerful tool for designing novel ligands targeting those receptors. In the present work, we applied dbCICA1 to identify optimal docking conditions for these two receptors. The methodology and results are summarized bellow. Briefly,
