Jag har i denna studie valt att undersöka om dockan kan fungera som ett verktyg när man arbetar med frågor kring etik och moral. Mitt syfte med undersökningen blir att se om man med hjälp av dockan kan förmedla insikten om etik och moral till barn i de lägre skolåldrarna. The purpose of this study is to find out if dolls are used as an artifact in preschools for communication, language and identity development - based on previous research. It also examines the teachers' opinions about what a doll or puppet is. To be able to look in to this I sent out a survey with questions and got responses from 176 informants within the preschool. The result shows that dolls are frequently used by many preschool teachers, but around 40-50% had not taken part in any research or education on the subject. Hard red spring wheat crop grown in different locations in the US were surveyed for the mycotoxin deoxynivalenol (DON). DON is often found in wheat that is infected with the plant fungal disease Fusarium head blight. The contamination of wheat by DON is a major wheat industry concern since it affects human and livestock health. Furthermore, DON reduces wheat grain yield and quality. I denna uppsatsen studeras de svenska samtida hästnamnen som finns 2016 och syftet har varit att kategorisera namnen och jämföra utifrån ett könsperspektiv. Namnen hämtades från försäkringsbolaget Agria och utgjorde totalt 396 namn, således 198 namn per kön. Det visade sig att namnbeståndet skiljer sig åt mellan könen på hästarna vilket tyder på en könsskillnad. <p>In this dissertation a novel approach to protein-ligand docking is presented. First an existing method to predict putative active sites is employed. These predictions are then used to cut down the search space of an algorithm that uses the fast Fourier transform to calculate the geometrical and electrostatic complementarity between a protein and a small organic ligand. Este trabalho apresenta as estruturas determinadas por difração de raio X de dois compostos naftoquinônicos, 3,4-diidro-[2,2-dimetil]-2H-nafto[1,2-b]pirano-5,6-diona (β-lapachona) e dimetil-1,4-naftoquinona. A estrutura cristalina destes compostos mostrou que estes são estabilizados por ligações de hidrogênio do tipo C-H...O, formando estruturas supramoleculares. Dos compostos derivados da β-lapachona, os naftoimidazóis têm-se mostrado muito ativos contra o T. cruzi, agente causador da doença de Chagas.
