Assuming that the 10 Danish Dogma films can be considered genre films, the article analyses the use of sound and music in these films. The “Vow of Chastity” proposed by the Dogma directors specifies that sound and image must never be produced separately, and the article presents elements of productions practice as well as aesthetic considerations. Using examples from the finished films, it demonstrates how the artistic intention formulated in the set of rules was handled during production and how it influenced the finished films. In 1995, Lars von Trier and Thomas Vinterberg spearheaded a radical cinematic movement by creating the Dogme 95 manifesto, which challenged the conventional aesthetics of filmmaking. This article explores the tension between the movement’s normative dogmatism and the aesthetic liberation it sought, focusing on Vinterberg’s narrative structures in Festen and The Hunt. Through an analysis of the director’s adherence to and reinterpretation of Dogme 95 principles, the study examines how these films navigate the balance between creative constraint and artistic self-expression.

Few articles in the literature address the implementation of hydrothermal PZT films on curved-diaphragm substrates for resonators. In this study, a 50-μm-thick titanium sheet is embossed using balls of designed dimensions to shape a dome-shaped cavity array. Through single-process hydrothermal synthesis, PZT films are grown on both sides of the processed titanium diaphragm with good adhesion and uniformity. The hydrothermal synthesis process involves a high concentration

IntroductionAnatomic reduction of talar body fractures is critical in restoring congruency to the talocrural joint. Previous studies have indicated a maximum of 25% talar body exposure without malleolar osteotomy. The aim of this study was to investigate the percentage talar body exposure when using the lateral transligamentous approach.MethodsThe lateral transligamentous approach to the talus was undertaken in 10 fresh frozen cadaveric specimens by surgeons inexperienced in the approach, following demonstration of the technique. An incision was made on the anterolateral aspect of the ankle au

Human genome projects in the 1990s identified about 20,000 protein-coding sequences. We are now in the RNA revolution, propelled by the realization that genes determine phenotype beyond the foundational central molecular biology dogma, stating that inherited linear pieces of DNA are transcribed to RNAs and translated into proteins. Crucially, over 95% of the genome, initially considered junk DNA between protein-coding genes, encodes essential, functionally diverse non-protein-coding RNAs, raising the gene count by at least one order of magnitude. Most inherited phenotype-determining changes in

Supramalleolar osteotomies are performed to realign the distal tibia and to improve foot and ankle function. This procedure requires a thorough preoperative and intraoperative understanding of limb-deformity parameters and of the center of rotation of angulation method of surgical planning. Radiographic, gait, and clinical analyses along with intraoperative fluoroscopic images are paramount to deformity correction. Purpose: This article identifies clinical features that differentiate central serous chorioretinopathy (CSR) from neovascular age-related macular degeneration (nAMD) and uses this information to develop a diagnostic tool. Methods: A prospective observational study was conducted of patients with a new diagnosis of CSR, nAMD, or indeterminate presentation. All patients underwent clinical assessment, axial length measurement, enhanced-depth imaging–optical coherence tomography, and intravenous fluorescein angiography. A final consensus diagnosis was derived following review of these factors. Resu
