Abstract:
The molluscan fauna of the Velké Doly Natural Reserve was surveyed in 1999 and 2006. In total, 27 snail species were found (26 terrestrial gastropods and 1 bivalve). The Natural Reserve is only 1.5 km far from ironworks “Třinecké železárny”. In the 18th century, there was a limestone quarry and beech plantation (as a fuel for ironworks) in the reserve. At the present time the reserve represents the secondary forests society Tilio cordatae-Carpinetum with protected and regional notable plants in undergrowth (Cephalanthera damasonium, Lilium martagon, Arum alpinum, Hacquetia epipactis, etc). The present character of the Velké Doly Natural Reserve is a result of human activities, nevertheless it is preserved and favourable site for molluscs, since many stenotopic and endangered woodland species occur there (e.g. Discus perspectivus, Petasina unidentata, Oxychilus glaber). The presence of the vulnerable snail Discus perspectivus is notable as first locality in Poland part of Těšín region (the Natural Reserve Velké Doly is located on the Poland border). Occurrence of euryecious species Arion distinctus, Arion lusitanicus and Limax maximus could relate with some human impact (e.g. presence of allotted gardens colony).

Developmental Dynamics of Localities Severely Affected by Anthropogenic Activities on the Example of Doly Bílina The paper focuses on the area of Doly Bílina in the Most district, on the landscape that has been severely affected by extraction of mineral resources for a long time and represents in terms of natural conditions one of the most damaged regions where no possibility of a return to original condition comes into consideration. By using appropriate remedial and recultivation measures, however, we can create a sort of "alternative" natural environment, which should be able to fulfil a greater part of all wood-producing and beneficial forest functions after a certain time, as did the original landscape system.

Abstract:
The testing results obtained during investigation of 3D mat are presented in the article. The spatial mat is designed to provide a cheap, efficient and durable soil stabilization on slopes. The testing was focused on development of suitable methods to be used when assessing foil properties on-site. The tested samples were extracted from mats that were used for soil stabilization at the location of mine Nástup Tušimice (Company Severočeské doly, Czech Republic) and exposed to external environment and weathering for 2 years. The performance of the mats was compared with reference samples from unused mats stored for 2 years in laboratory conditions. The testing revealed that deterioration of the material is negligible over the period of 2 years.

Abstract:
The application of laser scanning techniques to bucket-wheel excavator surveying seeks primarily to determine the machines’ key geometric parameters and to establish realistic mathematical descriptions of their movement dynamics in 3D space. The data will be used to visualize excavator movement and to control the coal extraction process in real time. The measurements take place at Doly Nástup Opencast Coal Mine, Tušimice, North-Bohemian Lignite Coal Field, Czech Republic. GNSS technology and inclinometric measurements are used to calculate 3D positions of the bucket-wheel excavators. The data is transferred to the research team workplace and stored in a database. KVAS software is used to visualise the bucket-wheel excavators and their 3D movements in real time.

Abstract:
VŠB – Technical University of Ostrava, institute of geodesy and mine surveying has been cooperating with Severočeske doly j.s.c. (SD) in important research project since 2007. The main goal is improve control system for opencast mining. Two bucket wheel excavators (K800/103 and KU300/27) were equipped with measurement hardware at the Libouš Lignite Mine (North Bohemia brown coal basin). The position of the bucket wheel centre is computed by means of GNSS data, inclinometer and incremental measurements. Data is transferred to a base. All the values measured are saved in this database. The surface layout of the mine as well as positions of underground geological layers are updated on a regular basis in the digital model of the mine. The main aim of the research is verifying the system in connection to digital model for short time prognosis of qualitative parameters of coal (Ad, Sd, Qr, Wr and MS), continuous automatic computation of mined materials (m3, tons) and continuous checking of creation of the movement surface/plane of the excavator and mining goals. Mine surveyors have a lead role in the working team. The paper describes possibilities of using the GNSS for mine surveying and for production planning.

Abstract:
This study was conducted to determine whether there exists the presence of plasmid from Salmonella isolated from poultry farms in Abia and Imo states southeast Nigeria. Forty Salmonella isolates were used for the study. The alkaline phosphate method of Birnboin and Doly was employed. Three buffers A, B and C made up of different concentrations and volumes with adjusted pH were used. A (400 mM Tris, 200 mM Na Ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid), B (3 M Na, acatic acid) and C (10 mM Tris, 2 M Na Ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid). The test organisms sub-cultured on MacConkey agar (MCA) were processed at various centrifugation rates and time. The suspected pure plasmid deoxyribonucleic acid was mixed with ethidium bromide and loading dye using agarose gel. The set up was viewed under ultraviolet transillumination with gel documentation apparatus. Plasmid cure was conducted with ten multidrug resistant Salmonella isolates. Danifor Biotechnology method was used for the plasmid curing experiment. Three curing agents, sodium deodecyl sulphate curing agents (100), sodium deodecyl sulphate (10 g or 10%) and nutrient broth (100 ml) were used. Plasmid DNA was detected from the Salmonella isolates evidenced with bands at 100 bp. There was plasmid cure as supported by the zones of inhibition by some of the antibiotics when compared with the original isolates.Keywords: Cure, DNA, multidrug resistant isolates, plasmid, Salmonella

The main goal of the thesis is establishing market value of the company Severoceske doly as of 1.1.2009. In the introduction, there is a brief profile of the company along with some of the pecularities of entrepreneurship in mining. Third section of the thesis is focused on the strategic analysis. The outcome is revenue prognosis of the company in three variant scenarios. Subsequent section 4 is focused on the financial analysis, the result of which is assessment of the company`s financial health. Prediction of the value creators and set up of a financial plan is the task of the fifth section. The sixth section contains resulting assessment by means of the DCF Equity method. Value of the company is established as an interval range. Market comparison method has been used as an additional method of appraisal.

The main theme of the thesis are surface mines in northern Bohemia, the Most. Grasping the subject is moving mainly in personal as well as social aspects. The basis for practical thesis served theoretical thesis. Exploring the phenomenon of a block of flats in theoretical thesis led to turn to the topic of the panel surface mines. At first glance unrelated topics, however, contains an important connection. The coal industry forms an essential part of the development of the current form of North Bohemia, a form of large prefabricated housing. Interest in the originality of the construction in the settlements led to this issue. The work consists of several authentic records and materials from surface mines in Bílina processed in painting and video.

La industria de mascotas, ha venido presentando un auge notorio a nivel mundial, se estima que moverá US$100 billones en 2017 de acuerdo con datos de Euromonitor International. Las tendencias mundiales explican en buena parte el alto crecimiento y potencial del sector de mascotas1. La tendencia a humanizarlas identificada como una de las 3 principales en la industria, abre las puertas al desarrollo de negocios muy interesantes, que parten de la diversificación de las líneas de negocio tradicionales de la categoría y generan nuevas formas o alternativas de suplir de una mejor forma las necesidades tradicionales. Es por eso que surge DogY, una empresa en la industria de servicio para el cuidado de las mascotas en ciudad de Panamá. País en donde el 57.8% de la población posee una mascota. DogY presta un servicio de estética canina, ofrecido en un vehículo móvil acondicionado en la puerta de la casa del cliente. Cubriendo los rubros de baño y aseo, venta de accesorios y alimentos. El mercado objetivo está compuesto por los hogares de clase media alta y alta que cuentan con perro como mascota y residen en los corregimientos de San Francisco, Betania, Bella Vista, Juan Díaz, Amelia Denis de Icaza y Ancón de la provincia de Panamá. Por lo que se estima un mercado objetivo de 5,861 hogares, equivalente a US$ 4,430,936. La estrategia de diferenciación estará enmarcada en ofrecer servicio de alta calidad con horarios flexibles. El equipo gestor está conformado por Amailys Amaya y Liliana Agudelo, Ingenieras Industriales y estudiantes de MBA. El análisis financiero muestra que el proyecto es factible y que requiere una inversión inicial de US$ 188,739. El VAN es positivo y la TIR de 13.56% superior a la tasa de descuento exigida al proyecto estimada en 12.29%.

Abstract:
This thesis is concentrated on cultural centres built between years 1960 and 1990 in the former socialist Czechoslovakia. Six cultural centres have been chosen and analyzed to conclude the purposes they serve as well as the programs they offer. These chosen cultural centres are run as municipal organisations financed from the town budgets. The six towns where they are located are similar to each other in terms of their history, size and the time when their cultural centres were built. All of these centres share difficulties with the lack of cultural interest of local citizens, bad technical shape of the buildings in question and low budget. The aim of this thesis is to compare the functioning of these six cultural centres and conclude whether being directly funded and influenced by the municipal councils has a positive impact and should serve as a model for cultural centres or should be replaced by a different one. It also focuses on cooperation between the management of cultural centres and municipal officials, cooperation with other local cultural institutions and cultural centres from different towns.

Abstract:
The diploma thesis focuses on the design of a new construction of a multifunctional building in Řečkovice. The construction consists of two separate blocks connected by a basement storey with common garages. Each block has three above-ground storeys. On the first basement storey there are garages and technical facilities. On the above-ground storeys there are commercial units with own entrances from the exterior and own sanitation facilities. Furthermore there are flats of varying sizes: from single-room flats with a kitchenette to four-room flats with a kitchenette. One of the flats has been designed as adaptable (wheelchair accessible). All the flats have a recessed balcony or a terrace facing southwest. The construction is built on shallow foundation constructions. The first basement storey is from monolithic reinforced concrete. The above-ground storeys are built from Kalksandstein sand-lime blocks. The exterior walls are insulated with a contact thermal insulation system. The construction is covered by flat roofs.

Abstract:
Constance Eileen King, in her Dolls and Dolls' Houses (1977), describes the doll above (Figure 1) as a 'French bisque-headed doll with jointed body, fixed eyes and open mouth. The original costume is very decorative. Marked "* 95" for Phoenix Baby'. King's description is doll-collection speak, and shows a particular way of looking at dolls, one which typically identifies the country of origin (French), the name of the dollseries (Phoenix Baby), materials of which the doll is made (head made of bisque, a kind of unglazed porcelain) and any identifying marks it might have, with a particular emphasis on dress and head. This type of doll is usually referred to as a bebe, a word registered by French and German manufacturers by 1850 to describe a doll suggesting a child somewhere between the ages of four and twelve. The Liebe (in Figure 1) is a doll allright, but it is a very particular kind of doll, and gives a very particular idea of what a doll is. This doll represents perhaps the most nostalgically stereotypical idea of a doll: it shows a little girl in a pretty dress. If one goes and looks at the range of more modern dolls which clutter the shelves in toy stores--Ginny, Barbie, Cindy, Baby Dribbles, My First Baby, Action Man, Skydancer, Polly Pocket, Cabbage Patch Dolls, Spice Girls dolls, Power Rangers and Star Trek dolls, Furbies, to mention a few--one finds that dolls come representing a huge variety of different ages, social classes, ethnic and national backgrounds, occupations, hobbies. They are made of a variety of materials and combinations of materials; wood, leather, cloth, metal, composition (strengthened papier meiche), celluloid, plastic, wax, porcelain, stone. Often they are also what we might call borderline or fantasy human figures, half-monsters, three quarter animals, one third machines, in various combinations. Even though the French bebe might be immediately recognisable as a doll, and would conform to a conventional idea of a doll, it is by no means a typical doll. There is no typical doll.

En esta tesis doctoral, presento el estado actual de la discusión acerca del dolo en la teoría general del delito, a partir del análisis de las principales teorías planteadas en el Derecho penal continental, especialmente por autores alemanes y españoles, así como de los criterios jurisprudenciales de inferencia de los estados mentales establecidos en el Derecho penal anglosajón, especialmente por las cortes de Reino Unido. He abordado planteamientos de dos tradiciones jurídicas distintas porque en ellas se evidencian dos distintos niveles de análisis del problema: el nivel conceptual y el nivel aplicativo. Mi finalidad es plantear una teoría procesal de determinación del dolo, que se ajuste a los principios del Estado social y democrático de Derecho. En ese sentido, la teoría de las condiciones para el conocimiento aproxima la teoría del delito al proceso penal. De acuerdo a mi propuesta, el dolo es un juicio subjetivo-normativo de imputación del conocimiento, que se aplica cuando el juzgador verifica tres condiciones objetivas que indican que, en el contexto social y personal de su acción, el imputado tenía un deber limitado de conocer un riesgo específico, la posibilidad efectiva de conocimiento de dicho riesgo y la imposibilidad de confiar ex ante en la no realización de dicho riesgo. Es esta última condición la que permite distinguir las formas de imputación dolosa de la imprudencia. La teoría planteada es, a su vez, una teoría de límites al razonamiento judicial y al proceso de inferencia de los elementos subjetivos del injusto, ya que permite reducir el riesgo de que el juzgador incurra en generalizaciones, aplique máximas de experiencia o recurra a su intuición para resolver un caso. Es a partir de la valoración conjunta de los indicadores objetivos planteados (indicadores de riesgo, evitabilidad, contexto específico, experiencia previa del autor, rol efectivamente asumido, actos específicos y motivos racionales del autor) que el juez penal estará en condiciones de efectuar un adecuado proceso de inferencia de las condiciones para el conocimiento.
In this doctoral thesis, I describe the current state of the discussion about mens rea in criminal law, based on the analysis of the main theories raised in continental criminal law, especially by German and Spanish authors, as well as on the inference rules of the mental states established in Anglo-Saxon criminal law, especially by the United Kingdom courts. I have approached two different legal traditions because they apply two different standards of analysis: conceptual and practical. My aim is to propose a procedural theory, which allows to establish and prove intent and advertent recklessness, in the context of the rule of law principles. In this sense, the theory of knowledge conditions brings criminal law closer to criminal prosecution. According to my proposal, “dolo” (which includes intention and advertent recklessness) is a subjective and normative imputation process of knowledge, which is applied when the judge verifies three objective conditions that indicate, in the social and personal context of his/her action, the accused had a limited duty to know an specific risk, the actual possibility of knowing about such risk and the impossibility to trust on the non-fulfillment of such risk. It is this latter condition that makes it possible to distinguish between forms of “dolo” and negligence. My proposal is also a theory of judicial reasoning limits, since it allows to reduce the risk that the judge falls into generalizations, applies rules of experience or uses his/her intuition to solve a case. The use of objective indicators (risk, avoidance, specific context, author previous experience, role, specific acts and rational motives) allows the criminal judge to make an adequate inference process of the knowledge conditions.
En aquesta tesis doctoral, presento l’estat actual de la discussió del dol dins de la teoria general del delicte tot partint de l’anàlisi de les principals teories plantejades al Dret Penal continental, especialment per autors alemanys i espanyols, així com també els criteris jurisprudencials d’inferència dels estats mentals establert al Dret Penal anglosaxó, especialment per les Corts del Regne Unit. He estudiat plantejaments de dues tradicions jurídiques diferents perquè en elles es poden veure dos nivells d´anàlisi del problema: el nivell conceptual i el nivell aplicatiu. La meva finalitat és plantejar una teoria processal de determinació del dol que s´ajusti als principis de l´Estat social i democràtic de Dret. En aquest sentit, la teoria de les condicions per al coneixement apropa la teoria del delicte al procés penal. D'acord a la meva proposta, el dol és un judici subjectiu-normatiu d'imputació del coneixement, que s'aplica quan el jutge verifica tres condicions objectives que indiquen que, dins del context social i personal de la seva acció, l'imputat tenia un deure limitat de conèixer un risc específic, la possibilitat efectiva de coneixement d'aquest risc i la impossibilitat de confiar ex ante en la no realització d'aquest risc. És aquesta darrera condició la que permet diferenciar les formes d'imputació dolosa de les imprudents. La teoria plantejada és una teoria de límits al raonament judicial i al procés d'inferència dels elements subjectius de l'injust, ja que permet reduir el risc que el jutjador incorri en generalitzacions, apliqui màximes d'experiència o recorri a la seva intuïció per resoldre un cas . És a partir de la valoració conjunta dels indicadors objectius plantejats (indicadors de risc, possibilitat d’evitar el fet, context específic, experiència prèvia de l'autor, paper assumit, actes específics i motius racionals de l'autor) que el jutge penal estarà capacitat per realitzar un adequat procés d'inferència de les condicions per al coneixement.

Abstract:
Volvo trucks are involved in a project with vehicle combinations longer than 25.25 meters and/or with a weight of more than 64 tons. Those combinations are called high capacity transport (HCT). Some of the vehicle combinations are now driven with exemptions for the coupling equipment. The exemption is needed because according to a standard the theoretical transmitted forces between the dolly and the truck exceed the value that the coupling components have been certified for. The theoretical transmitted forces are called performance indexes. This limits the development but the exception could be avoided by using a hinged drawbar on the dolly.  This thesis aims to investigate what needs to be done in order to introduce dolly with hinged drawbar in longer and heavier vehicle combinations. A literature study and interviews were conducted to find problems that could be expected when using hinged drawbar on dolly and to investigate how the performance indexes for a specific vehicle combination should be calculated. Thereafter a dolly was put together through a product development process. Then concepts to solve a problem that was noticed through the literature study were developed. The concepts were sketched, evaluated in a matrix and thereafter the winning concept was modelled in detail in computer aided design (CAD).   According to the traffic definition in Sweden a dolly with hinged drawbar is violating the law. It defines a dolly as a module with rigid drawbar. On the other hand, the European Union defining a dolly as a trailer with fifth- wheel made to convert a semi-trailer into a full trailer. They don’t mention anything that contradicts to the usage of hinged drawbar. So the Swedish definition of a dolly needs to be challenged.   Simulations have shown that the braking performance will be worse when using a dolly with hinged drawbar compared to using a dolly with rigid drawbar. Therefore concepts to improve the braking performance of the dolly have been developed. The concept was to look the fifthwheel from pivoting around a horizontal axle perpendicular to the driving direction. By doing so the dolly and semi-trailer will become more like a full trailer and that would better the braking performance.  Through interviews and literature study it was noticed that the high performance indexes were calculated in an incorrect way. The highest forces are generated through interaction forces which are only affected by the vehicles closest to the coupling components. Therefore a calculation model need to be modified for this. Three calculation models were tested on the vehicle-combination. Two of these generated performance indexes that were reasonable. The calculation models were ISO-combination 3 and a model developed by Sweatman (1980). These two calculation models are modified for vehicle combinations that includes three vehicles.
Volvo lastvagnar ingår i ett forskningsprojekt med lastbilskombinationer som är längre än 25,25  meter och/eller väger mer än 64 ton. Ett sådant fordon kallas högkapacitetstransport (HCT). Idag körs vissa av dessa fordon med dispenser för kopplingsutrustningen. Detta då de teoretiska överförda krafterna mellan lastbil och dolly enligt en standard får värden som är högre än vad kopplingsutrustningen är certifierad med. De teoretiska överförda krafterna benämns som prestandaindex. Denna dispens skulle kunna undvikas genom att använda en ledad dragstång på dollyn.  Detta examensarbete syftar till att undersöka vad som behöver göras för att introducera dolly med ledad dragstång i längre och tyngre fordonskombinationer. En litteraturundersökning samt intervjuer genomfördes för att upptäcka problem som kan uppstå vid användande av dolly med ledad dragstång. Även en undersökning gällande hur prestandaindex ska beräknas på rätt sätt genomfördes.  Därefter konstruerades en dolly genom en produktutvecklingsprocess. Koncept för att lösa ett problem som noterades under litteraturundersökningen utvecklades. Koncepten skissades och blev sedan utvärderade genom en matris. Det vinnande konceptet konstruerades i CAD.   Från litteraturstudien visade det sig att det finns en motstridighet i den svenska definitionen gällande användandet av ledad dragstång på dolly. I Sverige definieras dolly som en kärra. En kärra definieras som en modul med stel dragstång. Däremot definierar EU dolly som en trailer som konverterar en semi-trailer till en full trailer. Där nämns ingenting som kan stoppa användandet av dolly med ledad dragstång. Därför borde den svenska definitionen utmanas.   En dolly med ledad dragstång förväntas ha sämre bromsprestanda än en vanlig dolly. Koncept utvecklades för att förbättra bromsprestandan på dollyn. Konceptet som vann var att låsa vändskivan från att vridas runt en horisontell axel vinkelrätt till åkriktningen. På så viss blir kombinationen dolly, semi-trailer mer som en full trailer vilket skulle innebära en bättre bromsprestanda.  Från intervjuer med kunniga personer och från litteraturstudien framkom det att de höga prestanda indexen var felaktigt beräknade. Det blev även känt att de största krafterna genereras genom interaktionskrafter som endast påverkas av de närmaste fordonens vikt. Tre olika beräkningsmodeller testades där två utav dem gav värden som kan anses vara rimliga. Beräkningsmodellerna var ISO-kombination 3 och en modell utvecklad av Sweatman (1980). Dessa två är anpassad för kombinationer som innehåller 3 fordon.

The paper deals with the pavement damage potential of long combination vehicles equipped with tandem C-dolly. Due to its double-hitch bar design, the tandem C-dolly enhances the lateral stability of the articulated vehicles; however, its single articulation could create significant levels of longitudinal load transfer between the coupled bodies and posing higher pavement damage. The pavement damage potentials of vehicles equipped with tandem C-dolly is compared with that of vehicles equipped with standard tandem A-dolly. For pavements with a roughness lower than 2 mm/m the effect of tandem design is only marginal. For pavements with roughness greater than 2 mm/m, results suggest an optimum speed (95 km/h) at which C-dolly is 1% less damaging than A-dolly. However, for the other two speeds evaluated (75 and 115 km/h), C-dolly is up to 12.1% less friendly than A-dolly. Such increases in road damaging potential are significant and an experimental study should be performed to validate results.
