The higher education community often views international students through a homogenous lens. To challenge the cultural norms set by the dominant group, researchers need to explore how these norms affect international teaching assistants (ITAs). The following questions guided the current study: (a) How do ITAs construct intersecting identities of teacher and learner that reflect the presence of dominant cultural norms within a predominantly White institution? (b) What strategies do ITAs use to navigate cultural and linguistic power dynamics within a predominantly White institution as they seek

I argue that concepts such as temporal institutions and entrainment can help explain persistent dynamics in an organisational field that pace innovative activities. I use Quebec's biopharmaceutical field to illustrate a shift in inter-organisational time since the technology bubble burst. Many scholars called the intermediary institutions in elections as vote brokers. As a consequence of that, then they built an argument based on a transactional framework, especially about the motivation of the institution. On the other side, they agreed that vote brokerage was built based on a social network, especially when they tried to define the vote brokerage. It means, the intermediary institution occurred in social interactions. That is weird for explaining social interactions without considering other social values. It means that a desired product and service is provided in accordance with what is expected with certain quality assurance and that the beneficiary is satisfied with it. The total quality, expressed in the form of the best presentation in the past periods, has ceased to be only the quality of the product and service, unlike the old meaning today, and has come to be used in a broader sense within the framework of management quality. The paper aims to analyse the potentiality of Schutzian phenomenological approach on institutions. We will maintain that this point of view has to take into account at least three aspects of institutions. Firstly, institutions should be considered as objective and sedimented configurations of meaning. Secondly, the historicity and the genesis of the institutional objectified meaning should be explored. Thirdly, life in modern societies shows how reference to the generating activities has been lost in our institutions and how that process has led to the disaffection of the citizens towards them
