Perfect Roman Dominating Functions and Unique Response Roman Dominating Functions are two ways to translate perfect code into the framework of Roman Dominating Functions. An Italian dominating function, abbreviated IDF, of $G$ is a function $f \colon V(G) \rightarrow \{0, 1, 2\}$ satisfying the condition that for every vertex $v \in V(G)$ with $f(v)=0$, we have $\sum_{u \in N(v)} f(u) \ge 2$. That is, either $v$ is adjacent to at least one vertex $u$ with $f(u) = 2$, or to at least two vertices $x$ and $y$ with $f(x) = f(y) = 1$. The Italian domination number, denoted $\gamma_I$(G), is the minimum weight of an IDF in $G$. In this thesis, we use operations that join two trees with a single edge in order to build trees with unique $\gamma_I$-functions.

Abstract:
Researchers in the field of optimal synthesis of compliant mechanisms have been working to develop tools that yield distributed compliant devices to perform specific tasks. However, it has been demonstrated in the literature that much of this work has resulted in mechanisms that localize compliance rather than distribute it as desired. In fact, Yin and Ananthasuresh (2003) [1] demonstrate that based on the current formulation of optimality criteria and analysis via the finite element (FE) technique, a lumped compliant device will always exist as the minimizing solution to the objective functio

Abstract:
Abstract Toroidal shells belong to the shells of revolution family. Dynamic sensing signals and their distributed characteristics of spatially distributed sensors or neurons laminated on thin toroidal shell structures are investigated in this study. Spatially distributed modal voltages and signal patterns are related to the meridional and circumferential membrane/bending strains, based on the direct piezoelectricity, the Gauss theorem, the Maxwell principle and the open-circuit assumption. Linear and nonlinear toroidal shells are defined based on the thin shell theory and the von Karman geomet

The article is dedicated to the legal aspects of bilateral water relations of Moldova and Ukraine on their joint Dniester River demonstrating that only the following international legislation on transboundary waters could help both riparians to save the river for future generations. Current situation with domination of hydrower as dominating used is unacceptable from the sustainable development view. The newly created Dniester River Commission could be a tool to establish a dialogue and a platform for wise decision making. The success could be only reached in case of following the best interna

Abstract:
A mistuned radial turbine impeller is analyzed with respect to the impact of varying ambient pressures and temperatures as well on frequency response functions and modal damping ratios. Beginning at room conditions, a finite element model of an impeller wheel at rest is updated based on experimentally determined mistuning in terms of blade dominated frequencies. The following numerical forced response analyses yield a maximum blade displacement amplification of 67% compared to the tuned reference. In addition, modal damping ratios are determined in dependence on the ambient pressure ranging fr

Horns, nozzles and load carrying structures of rockets, e.g., inter-stage joint, satellite-rocket joint, solid rocket motor case, etc., are usually made of circular conical shell sections. This study is to investigate distributed electrostrictive actuation and to evaluate spatially distributed microscopic control actions of distributed electrostrictive actuator segments bonded on conical shell surfaces. Mathematical model and open-loop control equations of a generic conical shell are defined first, followed by simplification to a free-free truncated conical shell section with segmented electro

Abstract:
Cambodia is entering a new phase of decentralisation and deconcentration (D&D), aiming to restructure sub-national administration, particularly at the provincial level. The reform seeks to establish unified provincial and district administrations accountable to both the central government and local populations, supported by transparent allocation of functions and funding. However, the mechanisms for achieving accountable fiscal relationships remain unclear, and provincial public finance arrangements are poorly understood. Drawing on three years of research within a broader study on sub-nat
