A new mealybug genus, Dorsoceraricoccus Dong & Wu gen. nov. (Hemiptera: Sternorrhyncha: Coccomorpha: Pseudococcidae), is described to contain Dysmicoccus muajatae Williams as type species, and a new species, Dorsoceraricoccus ningboensis Dong & Wu sp. nov., collected from Zhejiang Province, China on Digitaria sp. (Poaceae). For the new species, the adult female is described and illustrated. In addition, a key to genera of the subfamily Pseudococcinae now known from China and a key to adult female now in Dorsoceraricoccus gen. nov. are provided.

Nanozymes have attracted significant research interest over the world due to their simple preparation, storage, as well as the low-cost compared with natural enzymes. We started to study nanozymes over 10 years ago [1-8]. A few examples of novel nanozymes from our laboratory are shown: 1, NiPd hNPs exhibited triple-enzyme mimetic activities (oxidase-like, peroxidase-like and catalase-like activities). 2, Fe3O4 NPs on 3D porous graphene exhibited enhanced nanozyme activity and used for glucose determination. 3, GOx@ZIF-8(NiPd) nanoflower exhibiting tandem catalysis has been firstly proposed. Recently, a new nanozyme based on a bionic zeolitic imidazolate framework-8 (ZIF-8) has the active center similar to hCAII, showing hCA as well as esterase and acetylcholinesterase-like activities. A new class of single-atom nanozymes, as FeN5 SA/CNF, with atomically dispersed enzyme-like active sites in nanomaterials has been discovered. The defined single-atom nanozymes provide a new perspective to the catalytic mechanism and rational design of nanozymes and exhibit great potential to become the next-generation nanozymes. Given that infrastructure public REITs in China are still in the early stage of development, this paper firstly reviews their current status from relevant sources and briefly describes their definitions, development status and main characteristics. The option-adjusted spread method based on Monte Carlo simulation is chosen as the pricing model. The term adjusted spread method needs to consider the interest rate term structure, so the CIR model is used as the interest rate term structure model for interest rate forecasting, and the three CIR parameter values obtained by fitting are brought into the CIR model using Monte Carlo method simulation to obtain 1000 forward interest rate paths, and the spot interest rate is obtained according to the forward interest rate curve path, and the spot interest rate is used to combine with the option adjusted spread OAS to discount the 1000 present values. The average value of the 1000 present values is the pricing result. Comparing the pricing result with the market value, it is found that the two are basically equal. This shows that the option-adjusted spread method based on Monte Carlo simulation can evaluate the value of public REITs more scientifically and reasonably.

By the Han empire, concepts of the cosmos were changing basically from that of the ‘Four Quarters’ (Si fang) to the ‘Five Phases’ (Wu xing), with a place for emperors to act as an essential pivot in the interlocking relationships of Heaven, Earth and Man. Differing views of the duty of monarchs may be discerned, e.g., in the memorials of Dong Zhongshu and the chapters of the Huainanzi, and the underlying questions could lead to antagonisms between emperors and kings, or between high-ranking officials of government and scholars of traditional writings. The part that individual Han emperors played in determining decisions of state may well be limited to a few instances. While it may be questioned how far they were conscious of the intellectual basis that supported their authority with its implied responsibilities, Wang Mang tried to exploit a view of the cosmos to assert his claim to power.

Recent molecular work has found that the fern genera Colysis C. Presl (1849: 146), Kontumia S.K. Wu & K.L. Phan (2005: 245), and Paraleptochilus Copeland (1947: 198) should be subsumed under Leptochilus Kaulfuss (1824: 147) (Dong et al. 2008, Kreier et al. 2008, Kim et al. 2012, Zhang et al. in press) so that Leptochilus can be maintained as monophyletic. The newly defined Leptochilus is then characterized by having an epiphytic habit, simple sterile leaves (except in Kontumia), and much contracted fertile leaves fully covered (except in Kontumia) with sori (acrostichoid sori). Following the results of a new molecular phylogeny (Zhang et al. in press) and morphological study nine new combinations in Leptochilus were made recently (Zhang et al. 2018) including L. fluviatilis (Lauterbach 1910: 507) Liang Zhang & Li Bing Zhang in Zhang et al. (2018: 173). However, the epithet “fluviatilis” is not available when Polypodium fluviatile Lauterbach in Winkler (1910: 507) is transferred to Leptochilus. Here we provide a new name for Polypodium fluviatile in Leptochilus.

ABSTRACTThis paper assembles three oracle-bone inscriptions divined at the same time from the Wu Yi-Wen Ding period. Two are identical, being a paired divination inquiring into whether the event ri yue you shi was or was not auspicious. The third asks whether, in light of this ri yue you shi, it would be auspicious to sacrifice to Shang Jia.Since 1925, when Wang Xiang , first proposed th at the character yue should be read as xi, his position has been accepted by Liu Chaoyang De Xiaoqian , Chen Mengijia , Zhang Peiyü , Xu Zhentao , the Zhongguo Tianwenxue jianshi bianxiezu , and the Zhongguo Tianwenxueshi zhengli yenjiu xiaozu Yue was first interpreted as yue in 1933 by Shang Chengzuo . Those subscribing to this reading include Dong Zuobin , Chen Zungui , Yü Xingwu Liu Chaoyang, Chen Mengiia, Joseph Needham, Zhao Quemin and Chen Banghuai .Among these scholars Liu Chaoyang holds that “there is no distinction between xi and yue,” while Chen Mengjia believes that the phrase “ri yue you shi” can also be read “ri xi you shi,” hence they accept both interpretations.

The dentilabialization of bilabial initial consonants in Middle Chinese is one of the important phonemic changes in the Tang Period. The condition for this change was that the word must have (1) a semivowel medial /i/ and (2) a main back vowel. The phonetic effect of (2) is that, as Chao (1940) has pointed out, a retracted position of the jaw would bring about the dentilabial contact, and the effect of (1) is that the palatalization of the consonant would enlarge the width of the contact. The fact that nasal /m/ in the rimes Dong III (東三) and You (尤) exceptionally did not receive dentilabialization could be explained by assuming a phonetic weakening of /i/ under the assimilation of rounded endings /wŋ/ and /u/. In the Wu and the Yue dialects /m/ generally was not dentilabialized. This may be related with the fact that these southern dialects have never experienced denazalization of nasal initials as in the Mandarin dialects. The dentilabialization in the phonemic sense should be regarded as a result of the merging of main vowels occurred in the middle of the Tang period.

The method adopted by Fairclough’s (2001) construction analysis on critical discourse analysis. Data taken from children's stories, these (1) Immortal Devil Transformation, (2) Warlock of the Magus World, (3) Wu Dong Kian Kun, (4) Dragon Prince Yuan, (5) Great Demon (7) A Record of a Mortal’s Journey to Immortality, (8) Dragon Prince Yuan, (9) God of Cooking, (10) I Shall Seal the Heavens, (11) Heaven's Devourer, (12) Desolate Era, (13) the Human Emperor, (14) A Will Eternal, (15) Fields of Gold, and (16) Cultivation Online. Those stories were written in the periods 2005-2021. The results of this research indicate that self-efficacy in Chinese children's literature reflected on 6 results, those are (1) working based on problem solving, (2) working based on critical analysis, (3) working based on real facts, (4) working based on cognizance and (5) working based on integrity. The conclusion of this study is that self-efficacy in fantasy stories of Chinese children learning character education is based on exposure to universal values of self-efficacy. Abstract Background: METex14 mutations was reported in 3~4% of NSCLC patients and became a new target in the treatment of NSCLC. SCC244 is a highly selective and potent oral MET inhibitor. This is the first report of data from an ongoing single-arm phase II study of SCC244 in NSCLC patients with METex14 mutations (GLORY study). Methods: GLORY study is an open label, international, multi-center, single-arm phase II study to evaluate the efficacy and safety of SCC244 in patients with locally advanced or metastatic NSCLC harboring METex14 mutations which was confirmed by central laboratory. The enrolled patients have either failed one or two prior lines of systemic therapies or been not eligible/refused chemotherapy after being well-informed. SCC244 was taken orally at a dose of 300 mg once daily in 21-day treatment cycles until disease progression or intolerable toxicity. Tumor was evaluated every 6 weeks for the first 8 treatment cycles and every 9 weeks thereafter. The primary endpoint was objective response rate (ORR) assessed by blinded independent review committee (BIRC) per RECIST 1.1, secondary endpoints include ORR by investigator assessment (INV), duration of response (DoR), time to response (TTR) and safety etc. Post-hoc analysis was done to explore the intracranial anti-tumor activity. Results: At data cut-off on May 6th, 2021, a total 73 patients screened from 163 patients in 42 sites were treated at 300 mg QD dose and had ≥2 post-baseline tumor assessments or discontinued for any reason. 69 of them were with METex14 mutation confirmed by central laboratory. In the 69 patients, ORR by BIRC was 60.9% (95% CI: 48.4%, 72.4%) overall, 66.7% (95% CI: 50.5, 80.4) and 51.9% (95% CI: 31.9, 71.3) in treatment naïve and previously treated patients respectively. Median DoR was 8.2 months (95% CI: 4.8, NE) and median PFS was 7.6 months (95% CI: 4.2, NE), tumor response from 30 of 42 responders was still ongoing. The response occurred fast with a median TTR of 1.4 months (range: 1.2, 4.2). Partial response was observed in 8 of 10 patients with brain metastasis. 5 patients who had brain metastasis selected as targeted lesion had intracranial response by INV with a median intracranial tumor shrinkage of 57% (range: 34%, 71%). The most common (≥20%) treatment-related adverse events (TRAEs) of any grade were peripheral edema, headache, nausea, loss of appetite, hypoalbuminemia, ALT increase and vomiting. The incidence of ≥ grade 3 TRAEs was 43.8%. TRAEs leading to treatment discontinuation occurred in 6.8% patients, among which peripheral edema was the most common (4.1%). Conclusions: The data shows high and robust efficacy of SCC244 in NSCLC patients with METex14 mutations across treatment lines and encouraging intracranial anti-tumor activity. The safety profile was favorable with manageable toxicity. The data supports SCC244 as a valuable targeted treatment option for METex14 NSCLC patients. The 1970's was a decade of extraordinary discoveries of texts that transformed scholarly understanding of late Warring States, Qin, and early Han philosophy, society, and culture. This article is devoted to the least well-known of these finds, made in 1972 at Yinqueshan, Linyi, Shandong. Specifically, it provides for the first time in a Western language an introduction to the Yin-Yang texts recovered from this Western Han tomb, probably dated to the early years of the reign of Han Wudi (r. 140-87 B.C.). Based on the only transcription yet published (in 1985 by Wu Jiulong), the article provides a transcription, reorganization, and full translation of three of the texts, and fragments of a fourth, together with supplementary notes on the approximately seventeen other essays and a discussion of their significance within the context of late pre-imperial and early imperial thought. The essays are found to be of immense importance in understanding the various dimensions of Yin-Yang theorizing prior to Dong Zhongshu's development of new text Confucianism. Of special interest is the author's conclusion that the texts throw considerable light on those of the Mawangdui silk manuscripts that have been categorized by most scholars as belonging to the Huang-Lao school, the so-called Huangdi sijing (Four Classics of the Yellow Emperor). The author concludes, on the basis of his analysis of the form, language, and philosophical content of the Yinqueshan Yin-Yang texts, that many of the Mawangdui silk manuscripts are products of Yin-Yang specialists and may well not belong to the Huang-Lao tradition.

The fundamental difference between continuous modes of the Orr–Sommerfeld/Squire equations and the entrainment of free-stream vortical disturbances (FSVD) into the boundary layer has been investigated in a recent paper (Dong & Wu, J. Fluid Mech., vol. 732, 2013, pp. 616–659). It was shown there that the non-parallel-flow effect plays a leading-order role in the entrainment, and neglecting it at the outset, as is done in the continuous-mode formulation, leads to non-physical features of ‘Fourier entanglement’ and abnormal anisotropy. The analysis, which was for incompressible boundary layers and for FSVD with a characteristic wavelength of the order of the local boundary-layer thickness, is extended in this paper to compressible boundary layers and FSVD with even shorter wavelengths, which are comparable with the width of the so-called edge layer. Non-parallelism remains a leading-order effect in the present scaling, which turns out to be more general in that the equations and solutions in the previous paper are recovered in the appropriate limit. Appropriate asymptotic solutions in the main and edge layers are obtained to characterize the entrainment. It is found that when the Prandtl number $\mathit{Pr}<1$, free-stream vortical disturbances of relatively low frequency generate very strong temperature fluctuations within the edge layer, leading to formation of thermal streaks. A composite solution, uniformly valid across the entire boundary layer, is constructed, and it can be used in receptivity studies and as inlet conditions for direct numerical simulations of bypass transition. For compressible boundary layers, continuous spectra of the disturbance equations linearized about a parallel base flow exhibit entanglement between vortical and entropy modes, namely, a vortical mode necessarily induces an entropy disturbance in the free stream and vice versa, and this amounts to a further non-physical behaviour. High Reynolds number asymptotic analysis yields the relations between the amplitudes of entangled modes.

The most important cathodic process in alkali metal-air (M-O2) batteries is the electrocatalytic oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) typically forming superoxide (MO2), and peroxide (M2O2).1 Cation size in aqueous solvents have been demonstrated to affect the ORR activity due to the cation hydration energy.2 However, within aprotic electrolytes, the reaction mechanisms and the activity of ORR with respect to cation size remains undetermined. Traditionally, electrochemistry has been involved in the analysis of the reaction mechanisms of ORR. Nonetheless, this technique by itself is not suitable to identify intermediaries and products of the redox reactions taking place at the electrochemical interface. The combination of cyclic voltammetry with in situ Raman spectroscopy provide the opportunity to study and develop a fundamental understanding of the ORR under potential control, accessing reaction pathways and relating them directly to surface structure.3 In this sense, the breakthrough of Shell-Isolated Nanoparticles for Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy (SHINERS)4,5 is noteworthy. SHINERS is a non-destructive, powerful technique for surface analysis that has been demonstrated to provide SERS effect even in the absence of intrinsic roughness and without requiring Au, Ag or Cu to be used as working electrodes.3,5 In this work, electrochemical measurements and SHINERS are utilised to study the effect of cation upon electrified interfaces during ORR. Iris tectorum Maxim, a very popular Chinese traditional medicinal perennial herb belonging to the Iridaceae family, is widely grown as a year-round ornamental in China. During May to August 2014, as part of a survey for tospoviruses (family Bunyaviridae) in flue-cured tobacco, symptoms suspected to be caused by tospoviruses were observed on I. tectorum around farmers' fields in Kunming, Yunnan province. Symptoms were chlorotic spots on younger leaves and necrosis on older leaves. Since Tomato spotted wilt virus (TSWV) and Tomato zonate spot virus (TZSV) are two common tospoviruses in flue-cured tobacco fields in Yunnan, ELISA with monoclonal TSWV antibody (provided by J. X. Wu, Zhejiang University, China) and polyclonal TZSV antiserum (provided by J. H. Dong, Yunnan Academy of Agriculture Science, China) was performed to identify the presence of virus. Positive extinction values (ODλ405nm 0.835 ± 0.121 and 1.024 ± 0.193, as compared with the negative 0.153 ± 0.076 and the positive control 0.510 ± 0.109 at a confidence interval of P ≤ 0.05) were obtained from two symptomatic samples with TZSV antibody but not with TSWV. The absence of TSWV was confirmed with a commercially available immune-strip (Agdia, Elkhart, IN), following the manufacturer's instructions. To further verify the causal agent of these symptoms, total RNA was isolated from two symptomatic and one asymptomatic samples and reverse transcribed using degenerate primer J13 (1). These cDNAs were then used as a template in a universal PCR assay using specific primers TZSVNF (5′-ATGTCTAACGTCCGGAGTTTAACAC-3′) and TZSVNR (5′-TTAAAAAGACAGATCATTGCTG-3′), which amplify the complete nucleocapsid (N) protein. The PCR was carried out for denaturation at 94°C for 3 min, and subsequently 30 cycles were carried out, with each cycle consisting of 94°C for 45 s, 55°C for 45 s, and 72°C for 1 min, followed by a final extension step at 72°C for 10 min. An 0.8-Kb DNA fragment was amplified from symptomatic samples and cloned into a pGEM-T Easy (Promega, Madison, WI) vector. Three clones of each sample were selected and sequenced. BLAST analysis of the obtained sequences (Accession Nos. KM452916 and KM452917) revealed that the N sequences of these isolates have 96 to 99% nucleotide identity and 99 to 100% amino acid identity with the deposit TZSV sequence in NCBI from Yunnan (JN116580 to JN116583 and EF552433) (2). These combined results provide further confirmation of TZSV infection. It is known that perennial herb or ornamental plants may act as reservoirs for tospoviruses that can infect cultivated crops because tospoviruses have a very broad host range. Therefore, elaborate inspections for tospoviruses and appropriate management strategies to limit virus spread are necessary for production of crops. Abstract Background: The von Hippel-Lindau (VHL) gene is a tumor suppressor gene. Although VHL gene alterations play a key role in the pathogenesis of renal cell carcinoma (RCC), and several therapies targeting this molecular pathway have been studied, such as sunitinib, pazopanib and axitinib. However, it is not clear whether VHL mutation is a prognostic factor for immunotherapy in renal cell carcinoma. Methods: The impact of VHL mutations on survival outcomes in RCC patients received immunotherapy or non-immunotherapy were verified in the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC) trials and The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) RCC cohort, respectively. An in-house Chinese RCC cohort (n=950) was used for the analysis of immune-related markers. The relationship between clinical pathologic features and VHL were analyzed with using the two-sided chi-squared test or the Fisher exact test. Clinicopathologic characteristics associated with overall survival using Cox regression and the Kaplan-Meier method. Results: In the MSKCC cohort, a total of 143 RCC patients receiving immunotherapy were enrolled, of which 117 (81.8%) were clear cell RCC and 143 (100%) microsatellite-stable RCC. VHL mutation was significantly associated with high TMB score (P =0.017). Kaplan-Meier survival analysis showed that patients with VHL mutation obtained better OS compared to VHL wild-type (50 months vs. 23 months, HR, 0.36; 95% CI 0.21-0.64; P<0.001). In the TCGA cohort, all RCC patients received non- immunotherapy. No association was observed between VHL and OS (HR, 1.00; 95% CI 0.73-1.38; P=0.981). VHL mutations were significantly associated with higher TMB levels (P=0.006) and MSI-H (P=0.004) in the in-house Chinese RCC cohorts. Conclusions: Our results suggest that VHL mutation may be associated with better OS in RCC patients receiving immunotherapy. The exact mechanisms underlying VHL are needed to be further evaluated. Abstract Background: Individuals with polypectomy are still at higher risk of developing colorectal cancer than general population and are thus recommended to undergo colonoscopy surveillance for timely detection and prevention of subsequent colorectal cancer. The current clinical guidelines regarding the interval of surveillance are based on weak evidence. There is substantial overuse of surveillance colonoscopy in low-risk individuals and underuse in high-risk individuals. Effective risk stratification tools for post-polypectomy colorectal cancer (PPCRC) are lacking. Methods: Leveraging the integrated endoscopic, histopathologic and epidemiologic data in 3 population-based cohorts (Nurses’ Health Study (NHS) I, II and Health Professionals Follow-up Study (HPFS)), we developed a risk score to predict incident PPCRC among 26,744 patients with a polypectomy between 1986 and 2017. We validated the risk score in the Mass General Brigham (MGB) colonoscopy cohort of 76,603 individuals with a polypectomy between 2005 and 2017. In the MGB cohort, we used the validated natural language processing algorithms to extract detailed histopathologic data and merged them with the endoscopic and other clinical data from the electronic health record systems. The detailed protocol for the cohort development has been published (PMID: 33590405). We used Cox regression to calculate the hazard ratios (HRs) and assessed the discrimination using C-statistics and reclassification using the Net Reclassification Improvement (NRI). Results: During a median follow-up of 12.8 (IQR: 9.3, 16.7) and 5.1 (IQR: 2.7, 7.8) years in the NHS I, II/HPFS and MGB colonoscopy cohorts, we documented 220 and 241 PPCRC cases, respectively. We identified a PPCRC risk score based on 11 predictors. In the validation cohort, the risk score showed a strong association with higher risk of PPCRC (HR for high vs. low, 3.55, 95% CI, 2.59-4.88) and demonstrated a C-statistic (95% CI) of 0.75 (0.70-0.79), and was discriminatory even within the low- and high-risk polyp groups of patients (C-statistic, 0.73 and 0.71, respectively) defined by the current colonoscopy surveillance guidelines, leading to a NRI of 45% for PPCRC patients. Conclusion: We developed and validated a risk stratification model for PPCRC that can be used to guide tailored colonoscopy surveillance. Lithium-ion batteries (LIBs) and alkaline batteries have been widely used in electric vehicles and portable electronics, dominating the energy storage market for decades,[1] but their recycling/upcycling has lagged far behind. Re/up-cycling batteries is urgently needed because it can not only preserve raw materials such as Li, Co, Ni, Mn, Al, and Cu for LIBs as well as Zn, Mn, Fe for alkaline batteries but also reduce hazardous wastes towards the environment.[2] Despite previous efforts made on re/up-cycling LIBs and alkaline batteries, there remains an urgent demand for simple, economic, environmentally benign, and energy-saving approaches. For LIB recycling, the dominated recycling methods including pyrometallurgy and hydrometallurgy are destructive and criticized of high energy consumption, undesirable economic outputs, and water contamination. By contrast, non-destructive methods such as solid-state sintering[3] and hydrothermal treatment coupled with short annealing (HT-SA) [4-5]are more promising. However, these emerged direct recycling approaches are deficient at regenerating outdated cathode materials to meet current market need. As such, upcycling (i.e., upgraded regeneration of cathodes) through surface engineering (coating[6] and doping[7-9]) or bulk reconstruction[10] has been developed. In our work, we demonstrate one upcycling approach to regenerate LiCoO2 cathode through an improved HT-SA approach in which a coating layer is prepared accompanied with the regeneration process. The upcycled cathode material shows improved electrochemical performance surpassing the pristine electrode materials. For alkaline battery recycling, the major recycling still focuses on hydrometallurgy and pyrometallurgy. Hydrometallurgical processes generally follow different steps of pre-treatment and subsequent leaching and separation of different metals by electrolysis, extraction or precipitation.[11] Another approach for treating spent alkaline battery materials is upcycling towards other applications such as supercapacitors,[12] catalysis[13], micronutrient fertilizer,[14] Mn alloy fabrication.[14] In our work, for the first time, we directly upcycle both zinc anode and Mn-based cathode for their use in rechargeable Zn-MnO2 batteries by a simple yet efficient annealing procedure. Zn was regenerated in a reductive atmosphere and the regenerated Zn shows high Coulombic efficiency and long life in symmetric cells while the regenerated Mn-based cathode shows superior performance than fresh MnO2 with regards to capacity, rate, and life. Under optimized N/P ratio, the regenerated Zn and MnO2 was paired to make rechargeable Zn-MnO2 batteries delivering excellent performance, comparable or even superior to state-of-the-art Zn-MnO2 batteries. Abstract Introduction: In the INSIGHT trial primary analysis (NCT01982955; median follow-up: 21.8 months), tepotinib (a potent, highly selective, once daily [QD] MET inhibitor) + gefitinib improved efficacy vs chemotherapy (CTX) in patients with EGFR-mutant NSCLC and resistance to anti-EGFR therapy due to MET amplification (Wu et al, Lancet Respir Med 2020). Here we report final analyses from INSIGHT (data cut-off: September 3, 2021; median follow-up: 57.5 months). Methods: Patients with EGFR-mutant (T790M-negative) NSCLC and anti-EGFR resistance, with MET gene copy number (GCN) ≥5 and/or MET:CEP7 ≥2 by FISH and/or MET IHC 2+/3+, were randomized to tepotinib 500 mg (450 mg active moiety) + gefitinib 250 mg QD or CTX. Primary endpoint was progression-free survival (PFS) per investigator. Preplanned analyses evaluated patients with MET amplification. Results: In the 19/55 randomized patients (34.5%) with MET amplification (GCN ≥5, n=18; MET:CEP7 ≥2, n=13; MET IHC 3+, n=17), median age was 60.4 years, 68.4% were never-smokers, and prior EGFR inhibitors were gefitinib (57.9%), afatinib (21.1%), erlotinib (10.5%) and icotinib (10.5%). Median duration of tepotinib + gefitinib was 11.3 months (range: 1.1-56.5), with treatment duration >1 year in 6 patients (31.6%) and >4 years in 3 patients (15.8%). Two patients continued treatment outside the study. Tepotinib + gefitinib improved PFS (hazard ratio [HR] 0.13; 95% confidence interval [CI] 0.04, 0.43), overall survival (HR 0.10; 95% CI 0.02, 0.36), objective response rate and duration of response vs CTX (Table). Treatment-related Grade ≥3 AEs occurred in 7 patients (58.3%) with tepotinib + gefitinib and 5 (71.4%) with CTX. Most common post-study therapies were kinase inhibitors (n=2 in the tepotinib + gefitinib arm; n=3 in the CTX arm). In patients with MET IHC 3+ (n=34; including 17 patients with MET amplification), tepotinib + gefitinib also markedly improved PFS (HR 0.35; 95% CI 0.17, 0.74) and OS (HR 0.44; 95% CI 0.23, 0.84) vs CTX. Conclusions: Tepotinib + gefitinib greatly improved PFS and OS vs CTX in patients with EGFR-mutant NSCLC with MET amplification. INSIGHT 2 is evaluating tepotinib + osimertinib in this setting. BackgroundTakayasu’s arteritis (TAK) is a chronic, non-specific, granulomatous macrovasculitis and its pathogenesis is still unclear. The increasing evidence indicated that multiple pathological process involved in the development of TAK. According to previous reports, multiple biomarkers representative different pathological process (1-3), However, which biomarker can closely reflect disease activity or vascular changes and whether these abnormal processes can be prevented by current therapies remained unknown.ObjectivesTo analyze changes of serum cytokine, chemokine, and growth factor profiles in patients with Takayasu arteritis (TAK) after tofacitinib treatment and explore potential molecular signatures related with various disease characteristicsMethodsSeventeen patients from a TAK cohort treated with tofacitinib and 12 healthy controls were recruited in this study. Potential biomarkers with TAK including cytokines, MMPs, chemokines and growth factors were detected in these patients (0, 6, 12 months) and healthy controls. Molecular changes, disease activity, disease remission, and vascular imaging changes were analyzed in these patients after treatment. Furthermore, molecule signatures associated with these clinical features/outcomes were explored via radar plot and correlation analysis.ResultsAt baseline, all the patients were in active status. Meanwhile, patients’ cytokines (PTX3, IL-6, IFN-γ), chemokines (IL-16, CCL22, CCL2), growth factor (VEGF) and MMP9 were significantly higher than those of healthy controls (all p<0.05), while FGF-2 was significantly lower in patients with TAK (p=0.02). After treatment, 94.12% of patients achieved complete remission at 6 and 12 months; patients’ ESR and CRP levels were significantly reduced at 6 months (p=0.02, p=0.046 respectively); vascular improvement were observed in 6 (35.29%) patients at 12 months. With regards to these molecules, IL-10 was increased at 6 months compared with its baseline level (p=0.007). No changes were observed in other cytokines, chemokines, or growth factors. Besides, the radar plot demonstrated that PTX3 was closely correlated with disease activity. In addition, patients with vascular imaging improvement had relatively higher baseline levels of TNFα, ESR, and CRP (p=0.04, p=0.056, p=0.07, respectively), lower CCL22, FGF, and PDGF-AB levels (p=0.056, p=0.06 and p=0.08 respectively) compared with patients without it.ConclusionMultiple molecules representative different pathological mechanism participated in the pathogenesis of TAK. A preliminary study to determine the group of compound contained in the ethanolic extract of mahagony (Swietenia mahagoni L. Jacq.) seeds and its inhibitory activity to a-glucosidase enzyme has been done. The information from this study will be used in the further investigation about the specific constituents related to the bioactivity. The seed was grounded and then extracted with ethanol by maceration technique. The crude extract was separated with liquid-liquid extraction by using n-hexane, ethyl acetate, and methanol as the solvents. The best eluent for isolation, chloroform:ethanol (1:1), was determined by thin layer chromatography while alumina as stationary phase. The isolation step with column chromatography gave two types of isolates, yellow and colorless isolate. In order to get information about the compound, the crude extract was subjected to phytochemical assignment and the isolate with the better activity was analyzed by infrared spectroscopy. The inhibitory activity for the yellow isolate with IC50 as 19.345 ppm was better than the colorless isolate. Therefore, the IR spectroscopy assay was subjected to the yellow isolate. Based on the comparison IR spectra with literatures, it has suggested that the yellow isolate contains tetranortriterpenoid or limonoid group.Keywords: Swietenia mahagoni L. Nature is an excellent source of inspiration for the widespread application of science and technology. Researchers learn from biological principles and gradually develop from the earliest direct use of biological materials to the design and development of new biomimetic materials inspired by nature. Therefore, the innovation of bioinspired nanomaterials will enable tremendous advances in biology and biochemistry with biomimetic capabilities, such as biosensing, cell imaging, and drug delivery. In this presentation, I will discuss my group’s recent work on two bioinspired nanomaterials: nano-peptoids and single-atom nanozymes. The first type of bioinspired materials is a sequence-defined peptide-like materials that can mimic the structure and function of peptides and proteins. Compared with peptides and proteins, peptoids have a high degree of thermal and chemical stability, and are resistant to proteolytic degradation. In addition, due to the lack of intramolecular and intermolecular backbone hydrogen bond donors, it is possible to precisely control the peptoid and peptoid-substrate interactions, leading to bio-inspired synthesis of nanomaterials with a layered structure. As a peptide mimic, the peptoids has biocompatibility, non-toxicity and sequence-specific heteropolymers. Nano-peptoids can be synthesized with polar and hydrophobic monomers and have the following advantages: They can be easily processed into desired shapes (e.g. dendritic, sheets, tubes and vesicles), and the size range is 2-100 nm to enhance cell targeting and uptake. The application of nano-peptoids in cell imaging and cancer theranostics will be discussed. Another type of bioinspired nanomaterials with enzyme-like properties is single-atom nanoenzymes. As a biocatalyst, natural enzymes have the ability to accelerate various reaction rates with extremely high activity and selectivity under mild conditions. However, due to the temperature and pH-related denaturation of proteins and the possibility of contamination by bacteria or other reagents, the shelf life of natural enzymes is limited or uncertain, and their purification and production costs are high. Therefore, natural enzymes must narrow the range of conditions under which they can be used, limiting their further applications in biosensing and biomedicine. R Recent research has focused on the rational design of nanomaterials with inherent enzyme-like catalytic properties (for example, oxidase, peroxidase, catalase, superoxide dismutase, and so on) and exploration of their applications in various fields. Although much progress has been made, the development of nanozymes is still hampered by several challenges. Catalytic activity and substrate selectivity are the two most important issues that need to be resolved to allow the technology to reach full maturity. Therefore, rational design and tuning of nanomaterials is highly desirable for the development of novel enzyme-mimic nanomaterials with precise catalytic sites. We have developed various Fe-N-C based single atomic site catalysts which have similar structure with active site of peroxidase. These atomically-dispersed Fe-N-C materials have enzyme-like properties, therefore they are classified as single-atom nanozymes. Abstract Background: Primary results from the Phase 3 RATIONALE-304 study (NCT03663205) showed efficacy and a manageable safety/tolerability profile for TIS, an anti-programmed cell protein 1 monoclonal antibody, plus chemotherapy, as 1L treatment for non-sq NSCLC. We report results from pts aged 65-75 years. Methods: In RATIONALE-304, eligible pts (18-75 years) were treatment-naïve and had locally advanced or metastatic non-sq NSCLC. Pts were stratified by disease stage and programmed death-ligand 1 expression, and randomized 2:1 to receive TIS (200 mg intravenously [IV]) plus platinum (carboplatin AUC 5 or cisplatin 75 mg/m2 IV) plus pemetrexed 500 mg/m2 every three weeks for 4-6 cycles followed by maintenance TIS plus pemetrexed (Arm A), or platinum pemetrexed for 4-6 cycles followed by maintenance pemetrexed (Arm B). Progression-free survival (PFS) by independent review committee (IRC), objective response rate (ORR), and safety were assessed in pts aged 65-75 years. Results: In total, 97 pts aged 65-75 years were randomized to Arm A (60 pts) or Arm B (37 pts). The median age of pts was 68.0 years, and 76 pts (78.4%) were male. PFS was longer, and ORR higher, in Arm A vs Arm B (Table). Overall, 59 pts in Arm A, and 37 pts in Arm B experienced ≥ 1 treatment-emergent adverse event (TEAE). In Arm A, Grade ≥ 3 TEAEs occurred in 43 (72.9%) pts aged 65-75 years vs 150 (67.6%) aged ≥ 18 years, and in Arm B, 18 (48.6%) pts aged 65-75 years vs 59 (53.6%) pts aged ≥ 18 years. TEAEs leading to permanent discontinuation of any component of study treatment occurred in 19 (32.2%) pts in Arm A, and 5 (13.5%) pts in Arm B. 21 (35.6%) pts receiving TIS experienced ≥ 1 immune-related TEAE. Conclusions: Observed improvements in PFS and ORR support the treatment benefits of TIS in combination with platinum and pemetrexed chemotherapy in pts aged 65-75 with advanced non-squamous NSCLC. The safety profile of TIS in pts aged 65-75 years was similar to the safety profile for all pts in the overall study population. There is a great number of question particles in Chinese dialects that can be traced back to the negatives bu 不 and wu 無, which appeared in the negative part of A-not-A questions before turning into question particles. It remains debatable when and how this change occurred. We pinpoint the time when these two negatives changed into question particles according to several criteria in this paper. The time when bu became used as a question particle can be roughly dated to the Later Han dynasty and that of wu to the Tang dynasty, and the characters for these two words were then replaced by others. The interaction between bu and wu in history draws a picture of dynamic interaction. Some dialects show an extension from bu to wu, and some the other way round; the former is predominant in Middle Chinese, and the latter after the Tang dynasty. The way that bu changed into a question particle appears different from wu, which can be depicted as follows: The negative bu might have been seen as equivalent to the question particles hu 乎 and ye 耶 by holding a position identical to these two particles, which lost their function of interrogation and, as a result, were supplanted by bu subsequently. As a negative, wu is not only parallel with bu in syntactic behaviors, but also overlaps with the latter in the history, which made wu turn into a question particle after bu had done so.

Lin Zhao’en is a folk religionist and ideologist in the late Ming Dynasty, who is influenced by Yangmingism. His practical theory on spiritual cultivation is widely influential, where he has thousands of followers up to now. He emphasis on the practice of Ge Wu, the concept of ‘The Great Learning,’ where the word ‘wu’ in ge-wu refers to ‘things in mind’ meaning the turn of wills. The ‘turn of wills’ refers to the psychological phenomenon of cognitive fusion, describing the relationship between an agent and their wills. The negative impact of the turn of wills, lies in the cognitive fusion between the people and their self-concept (conceptualized self), especially when dealing with external objects, which makes the perceptual function of the mind challenging to operate normally, further reduces the psychological flexibility of the mind. He also classifies ‘things in mind’ into three types, which are desires, biases, and the practice of deliberately doing good. This paper will discuss on the Lin Zhao’en practical theory and the concept of Ge Wu.

BackgroundPrevious studies have observed an increasing trend in the prevalence of hyperuricemia which is linked to the physiological prerequisite for gout in recent years. However, the prevalence of hyperuricemia varies across different populations and different areas.ObjectivesThe aim of this study was to explore the prevalence of hyperuricemia and influencing factors in Chinese adults.MethodsThe analysis was a part of a cross-sectional study in Guangdong Second Provincial General Hospital in Guangzhou City, China between January 2009 and December 2019. A total of 205922 participants (21401 with hyperuricemia) were included in this study. Hyperuricemia was defined as serum uric acid ≥416.0 µmol/L (7.0 mg/dl) for men and ≥357.0 µmol/L(6.0 mg/dl) for women. We calculated the prevalence of hyperuricemia and used the multivariate-adjusted logistic regression model to identify the risk factors associated with hyperuricemia.ResultsThe overall estimated prevalence of HUA was 10.4% in China. Our study showed the prevalence of hyperuricemia in male (10.7%) was higher than that in female (9.9%) (P<0.05). The prevalence of HUA in the age group(≥75) subjects (13.3%) was higher than others. Multivariate logistic regression analysis revealed that sex (OR=1.75), age (OR=1.68), blood urea nitrogen (BUN) (OR=1.051), creatinine (Cr) (OR=1.045), high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) (OR=1.225), low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) (OR=1.466), systolic blood pressure (SBP) (OR=1.012),triglycerides (TG) (OR=1.460) and Body Mass Index (BMI) (OR=1.080) could increase the risk of hyperuricemia, while diastolic blood pressure (DBP) (OR=0.998), fasting plasma glucose (FPG) (OR=0.902) and total cholesterol (TC) (OR=0.704) were associated with a lower risk of hyperuricemia in all adults.ConclusionThe latest prevalence of hyperuricemia is high in Chinese adults and is associated with multiple factors, indicating that prevention and control strategies for hyperuricemia are needed urgently.References[1]Han B, Wang N, Chen Y, Li Q, Zhu C, Chen Y, Lu Y. BackgroundSubchondral bone and the marrow adipose tissue (BMAT) contained therein undergo elevated turnover and remodeling during progression of osteoarthritis (OA). BMAT changes, detected as bone marrow lesions (BML) on MRI images, are considered important diagnostic and prognostic imaging biomarkers for OA. However, a comprehensive understanding of the regulatory mechanisms in individual BMAT-resident cell populations that mediate marrow fibrosis and subchondral bone sclerosis is still lacking. Recently generated single-cell transcriptomic atlas of human adipose tissue has opened new avenues for computational bulk tissue cell type deconvolution and dissecting gene regulatory networks.ObjectivesTo infer core gene regulatory networks underlying subchondral bone sclerosis and BMAT remodeling in human knee OA.MethodsWe conducted comparative transcriptomics on bulk transcriptomic profiles of human subchondral bone tissue from three independent studies1,2,3 comprising tibial plateaus from non-OA controls (n=20) and BMLs (n=14), non-sclerotic (n=45) and sclerotic (n=45) regions from patients with medial knee OA. Cell type deconvolution (adipocyte/pre-adipocyte/fibroblast/endothelial/macrophage) of differentially expressed genes (DEGs) was performed using single-cell atlases of human brown and white adipose tissue4. Cell type annotated DEGs were functionally annotated using Gene Ontology enrichment. To infer transcription factors (TFs) regulating gene networks we performed ChIP-Seq enrichment analyses and assessed the presence of TF binding sites in the proximal promoter (-500/+100) sequence of DEGs. Tissue explants were stained en bloc with Oil red O and Hoechst to evaluate distribution of neutral lipids and nuclei in BMAT from non-sclerotic and sclerotic regions.Results534 upregulated and 363 downregulated DEGs were shared between at least two independent datasets. Cell deconvolution revealed the majority of upregulated DEGs were expressed in fibroblasts (38%), pre-adipocytes (27%) and endothelial cells (22%). Dowregulated DEGs were predominantly expressed by endothelial (31%), adipocyte (25%) and fibroblast (16%) cell populations. We inferred major TF regulatory networks driving upregulated DEGs in pre-adipocytes (PRRX1/SNAI2/TWIST1) and fibroblasts (SP7/SMAD4/RUNX2/DLX5) and loss of PPARG/SOX17/SNAI1-driven gene expression in adipocytes and endothelial cells. Pre-adipocyte genes were functionally enriched for collagen fibril organization, ossification and cell migration. Fibroblast genes associated with biomineral tissue development and negative regulation of angiogenesis. Downregulated DEGs were enriched for triglyceride catabolism and sequestration (adipocytes) and regulation of vascular permeability and endothelial cell differentiation (endothelial). Whole mount staining displayed homogenous distribution of neutral lipids in adipocytes and low cell abundance in BMAT from non-sclerotic tissue. In contrast, BMAT from sclerotic tissue showed heterogeneously distributed and lower neutral lipid content as well as high cell abundance (Figure 1).Figure 1.ConclusionThese data provide detailed insight into the cellular and molecular mechanisms underpinning subchondral bone and BMAT remodeling in OA. An expansion of pre-adipocyte populations along altered function of BMAT adipocytes might represent a previously unrecognized mechanism regulating subchondral bone sclerosis. The article analyses the Heaven-and-Man Oneness concept, which appeared during Emperor Wu of Liang's reign (汉武帝) and was important for the art of ancient China during the Han Dynasty. On its basis, the ideological thinking based on the Confucian view was formed. This philosophical concept explains the desire for a harmonious coexistence of man and heaven, where man and nature merge and mutually influence each other. The author emphasises that it is necessary to consider that during the long period of Confucian, Taoist and other teachings development, they constantly intertwined and mixed. Such a merger led to the fact that the Han Dynasty Confucian ideas, which combined the rituals of a strict social hierarchy and Taoist metaphysics, actively strengthened the consolidation of social stratification and the divine origin of the ruling class. Therefore, Confucianism was recognised and fully used by those in power. The Confucian teaching of the Han Dynasty, led by its primary representative Dong Zhongshu (1), exalted the Heaven-and-Man Oneness concept（天人合一), implying that man and Heaven are one. Sculptures in mausoleums are a product of the funerary culture. They bear the ideas of ancient people about life, death and the universe, at the same time being an essential part of the ancient China sculpture, which reflects the achievements and aesthetic aspirations characteristic of the ancient China art. Under the influence of the Heaven-and-Man Oneness concept and the cultures of small-numbered peoples from the north and the kingdom of Chu（楚国) from the south, a unique style of stone carving was formed. The era of the Han Dynasty is the period of the emergence of funerary plastics. This historical period is divided into Western and Eastern Han. Until now, only stone sculptures erected in front of the tombs of officials have survived. The sculptures from the burial of Huo Qubing（霍去病）are an example of stone sculptures of Western Han tombs. Here, attention was paid to the original texture and shape of the stone; processing was minimal; the imagery technique was used （意象）through which the ideological approach of the harmonious unity of man and nature with the heaven-and-man oneness（天人合一) was expressed. At the same time, funerary plastic art was influenced by the traditions of the nomadic peoples of Northern China. Such features as naturalness and roughness of the image were formed. In stone sculptures in front of the tombs of the Eastern Han, man's fantasies about heaven were expressed, as well as the desire to gain immortality after death. At the same time, the stone sculptures were aesthetically influenced by the mystical and romantic realm of Chu. funerary plastic art was influenced by the traditions of the nomadic peoples of Northern China. The purpose of this study is to present a comparison of the workload demonstrated by young soccer players during the phases of warm-up (WU), first half (FH) and second half (SH) of a league match. Eleven young Polish soccer players took part in this research, playing a league match after completing the WU. During the WU, FH and SH of the match the following variables were recorded: total distance run, maximal and average speed achieved during the runs, number of sprints, distances run in the different speed zones, durations of increased heart rate (HR) in specific ranges, and the maximal, mean and minimal HR. The variables were recorded by means of the Global Positioning System (GPS). The research showed that there were significant differences between the WU, FH and SH in the total distances run (F=30.107, p<0.001), the average speed achieved during the runs (F=37.731, p<0.001), the distances run at different speeds (p<0.001), the duration of increased HR in specific zones, and HRmean (p=0.002) and HRmin (p<0.001). Post hoc analysis confirmed that, for the majority of the analyzed parameters, the WU provided a smaller load for the body than did the FH or SH, the intensity of which in some part was higher than that encountered at the anaerobic threshold. In conclusion, it has been shown that the WU and the two halves of the match load the body to varying degrees, the former doing so to a lesser extent than FH or SH.

Rechargeable aqueous zinc-ion batteries (ZIBs) have attracted much attention recently due to the high abundance, low cost, high theoretical capacity up to 820 mAh g-1 with multi-valent charge carrier, and compatibility with aqueous electrolyte of the zinc anode.[1] Especially, the introduction of neutral or mild acidic electrolyte greatly improves the reversibility of zinc anode compared to conventional alkaline ZIBs.[2] Among all the cathode candidates, MnO2 is most attractive due to its relatively high energy density, low toxicity and low cost.[3] However, MnO2 electrode suffers from capacity fading during cycling mainly due to Mn dissolution and structural change. The addition of Mn2+ into the mild acidic electrolyte is a common method to suppress Mn dissolution.[4] Other strategies like structural design and surface coatings are also developed to suppress Mn dissolution.[5, 6] Though the cycle performance still cannot meet the demand of application, as the irreversible formation of inactive ZnMn2O4 during cycles still requires to be tackled. Here, we proposed Bi2O3 as a facile electrode additive in the electrode to suppress ZnMn2O4 formation and improve the cyclability of commercial electrolytic manganese dioxide (EMD). XRD, in-situ pH measurements and ICP tests suggest that inactive ZnMn2O4 is formed upon cycling due to the interaction between MnO2 and zincate ions in the electrolyte from localized increase in pH, and Bi2O3 dissolves into the electrolyte in the presence of zincate ions and forms a complex with the zincate ions to suppress the reaction pathway. A high capacity of 269 mAh g-1 is maintained at 100 mA g-1 after 50 cycles with a capacity retention of 91.5% when EMD with 10 wt% of Bi2O3 is tested in ZnSO4 electrolyte without Mn2+ additive. Combining both Bi2O3 electrode additive and Mn2+ electrolyte additive, EMD can maintain a stable capacity of 190 mAh g-1 for 1000 cycles at 1000 mA g-1 (about 3.3C). The influence of cross-linking and membrane hydrophilicity on the transport rate had been studied using a membrane prepared from a mixture of chitosan/PVA cross-linked citric acid (PVA.cl.CA) for creatinine and urea transport. The optimum mole ratio of PVA:citric acid as well as the best composition of chitosan:PVA.cl.CA were determined using creatinine transport study. Using the optimum compositions, further study was done using different thickness of the membrane in transporting creatinine, urea and a mixture of 3 species (creatinine, urea and vitamin B12). Membrane characterization was done using FT-IR spectrophotometer, water absorption test, TG/DTG and SEM. The results showed that the optimum composition PVA:citric acid was obtained to be 90:1, having % WU of 113.74% and creatinine transport percentage of 18.16%. Meanwhile, the optimum composition of chitosan:PVA.cl.CA was found at 4:6 ratio having % WU and % transport of 136.67% and 24.26%, respectively. The optimum transport capacity was found for membrane thickness of 50 µm with WU% at 139.61% and the percent transport of creatinine and urea each was 38.93% and 60.36%. The presence vitamin B12 in the solution of is proved to disturb the transport of creatinine and urea through the membrane. Finally, hydrophilicity seemed to give substantial contribution in the transport process as well as the mechanical strength of the membrane.

In providing numerous examples of the claims that Asians eat dogs, along with a typology of the answers given by Asian Americans, throughout history and in contemporary culture, the author concludes by suggesting that preliminary rules establishing the equality of all participants in the discussion are necessary to sustain civic society.

The aim: To find out the frequency of WU and KI polyomaviruses, and Human Boca and Adenoviruses infections among children with different types of acute upper respiratory tract infections and to compare the frequency of these viruses among immune-competent and immune compromised patients. Materials and methods: A case-control study conducted in children aged 3-18 years with acute upper respiratory tract infections. The samples were taken from: Group 1: 100 immuno competent children with acute upper respiratory tract infections. Group 2: 100 immuno compromised children (Leukemic, cancer, Nephrotic syndrome, chronic renal failure and children with renal transplant) with acute upper respiratory tract infections. Group 3: 100 apparently healthy children without respiratory infections as control group. Nasal swap samples were collected from children and then viral DNA extracted from these samples. Then detection of WU, KI polyomaviruses HBoV and HAdv was done by using real time PCR. Results: All of 300 samples were negative for WU and KI polyomaviruses. However, human Bocavirus was detected in the three groups (immunocompromised, immunocompetent and control group) and the positivity rates were 61.61%, 37.37% and 18.18%, respectively. While human adenovirus was found only in 2% of immunocompromised patients and 1.1% of immunocompetent patients also there were cases positive for both HBoV and HAdv in 5.5% of immunocompromised patients, and 8.8% of immunocompetent patients. Conclusions: High frequency of HBoV especially in immunocompromised patients while low number of positive cases for HAdv by using nasal swab samples, WU and KI polyomaviruses could not be detected in samples.

Le ko̅an zen, en effet, se caractérise par son recours au langage en des phrases qui ne font pas sens (du type « Qu’est-ce que la Voie ? » – « Oui. ») ; autrement dit, les « devinettes » et autres « historiettes absurdes » que propose le ko̅an zen à ses pratiquants utilisent le signe, mais pour mieux le démystifier et défaire tous les liens qui le rattachent au sens. Il s’agit de dérouter non pas tant pour révéler l’absurdité ou le vide de toute pensée (langagière), mais surtout pour bousculer l’esprit dans son carcan de signification dans le but de l’amener à accéder au « non-moi (wu-wo) », à la « non-pensée (wu-nian) » qui sont autant de définitions négatives de l’illumination bouddhiste. Si le monde est conçu comme un langage, pour emprunter la formule de Lacan, le ko̅an zen propose une sortie du monde par la destruction du sens, afin d’ouvrir l’esprit à la vérité du « non-mental (wu-nian) », soit à l’éveil. On observera donc la stratégie du signe employée dans ces ko̅an par les maîtres zen pour sortir l’esprit de ses habitudes.

Background:Over the past few years new international criteria have been proposed for the classification of primary Sjögren’s syndrome (pSS) from the American College of Rheumatology (ACR) in 2012 and the ACR with European League Against Rheumatism (ACR/EULAR) in 2016 [1, 2]. In real practice in Russia we use Russian criteria (2001).Objectives:To estimate ACR (2012) and ACR/EULAR (2016) criteria in Russian cohort of patients with pSS patients fulfilling Russian criteria (2001).Methods:From 2016 to 2019 we examined 110 patients (109 female, 1 male) with newly diagnosed pSS fulfilling Russian criteria with the mean age 50,2±14 years (min 18; max 82). Russian criteria for pSS: I) keratoconjunctivitis sicca (stimulated Schirmer’s test <10 mm/5 min or fluorescein staining of the cornea or tear break-up time < 10 sec); II) sialadenitis (sialectasia on parotid sialography (obligatory) +/- stimulated saliva flow test<2,5 ml/ 5min +/- labial salivary gland biopsy with focus score (FS) of ≥2 foci/4mm2); III) positive antinuclear antibody (ANA) or positive ANA with rheumatoid factor (RF) or anti-SSA (anti-Ro) or/and SSB (anti-La). According it pSS is verified if the first two criteria and at least one of the immunological criteria are presented. In 61% of patients, mild eye damage was detected (OSS<3-5), and in half of the cases, the stimulated Schirmer’s test was more than 5.0 mm, but less than 10 mm/5 minutes, while 69% of patients complained of dry eyes. Most patients (84.5%) had positive anti-Ro, just over half (51.8%) had anti-La. All patients had sialectasia of various stages on parotid sialography. Less than 1 FS was detected in 10% of patients.Conclusion:Using Russian criteria (2001), we can identify pSS at an early stage. Our criteria inclusion complex examination in which an immunological sign must be present to confirm the diagnosis. To achieve lithium-ion batteries with high energy density at competitive prices for automotive and large-scale applications, cathode active materials (CAMs) based on Li- and Mn-rich NCMs (LMR-NCMs), like Li1.14(Ni0.26Co0.14Mn0.60)0.86O2, are promising candidates.[1] However, LMR-NCMs still suffer from high gassing, particularly during cell formation, and detrimental voltage and capacity fading over their cycle life.[2,3] Different approaches can be utilized to try to mitigate these issues, such as the use of electrolyte additives, novel material designs (compositional gradients, etc.), or post-treatments.[4–7] In this study, we investigated the effect of a water-based post-treatment of LMR-NCM. It consists of a washing process of the LMR-NCM that results in a partial delithiation of its near-suface region by a lithium/proton ion exchange, while at the same time avoiding transition metal dissolution. A recalcination of this protonated near-surface layer of the LMR-NCM particles results in the formation of a protective spinel-like surface layer. We observed that after this treatment, the gassing during formation is decreased by »10-fold. Furthermore, the cycling performance of graphite/LMR-NCM full-cells is also drastically increased. By conducting on-line electrochemical mass spectrometry (OEMS) measurements, we analyzed the gas evolution of as-received and post-treated LMR-NCMs during the first activation cycle. It is known from the literature that the activation of LMR-NCMs is accompanied by a strong O2 and CO2 evolution during the first charge.[2] As seen in Figure 1, CO2 is evolved simultaneously with O2 from Li/LMR-NCM half-cells, prepared with untreated, as-received LMR-NCM (as-received, black line). With post-treated LMR-NCM, both CO2 and O2-evolution during the activation cycle are reduced by »10-fold (post-treated, green line). Only a small amount of the first-charge capacity (<10%) is lost due to the post-treatment, as seen in Figure 1a, reflecting the slight extent of delithiation that is part of the post-treatment. As will be shown, cycling tests of graphite/LMR-NCM full-cells with a post-treated LMR-NCM reveal a greatly increased cycling stability in comparison to cells with an as-received material. Abstract Background: Lorlatinib improved progression-free survival (PFS) and demonstrated intracranial (IC) activity in patients (pts) with untreated advanced ALK+ NSCLC in the interim analysis of the randomized, Phase 3, CROWN study of lorlatinib vs crizotinib. We report updated 36-month follow-up data. Methods: 296 pts with previously untreated advanced ALK+ NSCLC were randomized 1:1 to oral lorlatinib (100 mg QD; n=149) or crizotinib (250 mg BID; n=147), stratified by presence of CNS metastases (mets) and ethnicity. Primary endpoint: PFS by blinded independent central review (BICR). Secondary endpoints included overall survival, PFS by investigator, and objective response (OR), IC-OR, IC time to progression (IC-TTP), duration of response (DR), IC-DR (all by BICR), and safety. Results: At data cutoff (Sep 20, 2021), median duration of follow-up for PFS was 36.7 months for lorlatinib and 29.3 months for crizotinib. Median PFS by BICR was NR (95% CI, NR-NR) for lorlatinib and 9.3 months (95% CI, 7.6-11.1) for crizotinib (HR, 0.27; 95% CI, 0.18-0.39). PFS by investigator results were similar (Table). For pts with brain mets at baseline (n=37 lorlatinib/n=39 crizotinib), the HR for IC-TTP for lorlatinib vs crizotinib was 0.10 (95% CI, 0.04-0.27), and for pts without brain mets (n=112/n=108) was 0.02 (95% CI, 0.002-0.14). OR, IC-OR, DR, and IC-DR were all improved with lorlatinib vs crizotinib (Table). All-cause grade 3-4 adverse events (AEs) and AEs leading to treatment discontinuation were reported in 76% and 7% of pts with lorlatinib and 57% and 10% of pts with crizotinib, respectively. No new safety signals emerged. Conclusions: These updated long-term data from CROWN confirm the efficacy of lorlatinib over crizotinib in pts with treatment-naïve ALK+ NSCLC, with no new safety signals detected, and support the use of lorlatinib in pts with untreated ALK+ NSCLC with and without brain mets. Because I was allowed to give the laudatory speech for Wolfgang, I was also asked to contribute something to the pen. And because, despite everything else, it is not reprehensible to think about the future, I could not refrain from doing so. Here is my somewhat expanded contribution.
