This paper applies a stratigraphic analytical method to the “Wuxing zhi” 五行志 chapter of the Han shu 漢書 and uses the results of this analysis to argue that the “Wuxing zhi” is a composite text. The contents of the “Wuxing zhi” reflect three major moments of authorship: a catalogue composed by Western Han scholar Dong Zhongshu 董仲舒 (179-104 BCE) that summarizes anomalies and calamities recorded in the Chunqiu 春秋 “Spring and Autumn Annals”; a catalogue composed by Western Han scholar Liu Xiang 劉向 (77-6 BCE) that expanded Dong Zhongshu’s list and applied the Hong fan Wuxing zhuan 洪範五行傳 theoretical

Abstract Background: Garsorasib (D-1553), a potent KRAS G12C inhibitor, has previously demonstrated promising anti-tumor activity in KRAS G12C-mutated non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) in a phase 1 study. Here we present the efficacy and safety of garsorasib in a pivotal phase 2 study. Methods: In this open-label, multicenter, single-arm phase 2 study, patients received garsorasib 600 mg twice daily in 21-day cycles. Eligible criteria included patients with locally advanced or metastatic NSCLC harboring KRAS G12C mutation, who had disease progression after prior anti-PD-(L)1 therapy and plati

Abstract Background: Although Sentinel lymph node biopsy (SLNB) is the standard treatment for clinically node-negative early breast cancer patients, axillary lymph node dissection (ALND), which always removes more than ten lymph nodes, is still widely used. Moreover, in SLNB, although the increased number of sentinel lymph nodes (SLNs) reduces false-negative rates, the effect of extensive lymph node removal on regional immune function and prognosis is unclear. For patients with no lymph node metastasis post-ALND (pN0), the impact of such removal on local immune barriers and prognosis remains u

Alkaline water electrolysis (AWE) is a promising technology for carbon capture [1]. Anion exchange membrane water electrolyzers (AEMWEs) utilize low-cost, non-precious metal materials, providing an economically viable alternative to more expensive proton exchange membrane water electrolyzers (PEMWEs). While PEMWEs can operate at much higher current densities, they require noble metal catalysts and titanium components for the high potential environment anode [1]. The implementation of a bipolar membrane (BPM) will allow both HER and OER to occur under kinetically favorable conditions [2, 3] by

Abstract Background: Endocrine therapy combined with CDK4/6 inhibitor represents the first-line standard treatment for HR+/HER2- metastatic breast cancer. However, there is no well-defined standard of care following resistance to CDK4/6 inhibitors. In previous study, we innovatively classified HR+/HER2- breast cancers into four subtypes using large-scale multi-omics data and similarity network fusion (SNF) (Nat Genet. 2023) : SNF1 for canonical luminal, SNF2 for immunogenic, SNF3 for proliferative and SNF4 for receptor tyrosine kinase (RTK)-driven. Fans of Chinese media celebrity Xiao Zhan provide a case study of the existence of a highly centralized, well-trained fan community in Chinese media fandom, in which a majority of the fans are controlled and exploited by a faction of fan leaders. Fans have strong, exclusive feelings regarding their idol. Fan leaders make use of these feelings in order to organize the fans to routinize a wide range of data-manuipulation activities to ensure the success of their idols, and in so doing, these fans' actions exhibit conformity rather than autonomy.
