Abstract:
The purpose of this thesis is to design a Java AST query language and implement tool that uses the query language. This work overviews graph databases and their libraries with focus on Neo4J and Titan. This thesis overviews tools Java bytecode analysis as well. Libraries Procyon and BCEL are described in detail. The work includes a proposal the query language and detailed description of the tool implementation, together with the detailed description of the way how Java entities are stored into the graph databases. In the end, the work deals with experiments and the evaluation of the time complexity of the library.

Abstract:
This master's thesis is devoted to the studies of possibilities, which can be used for representation of moving objects data and for querying such spatio-temporal data. It also shows results of the master's thesis created by Ing. Jaroslav Vališ, that should be used for the solution of this master's thesis. But based on the theoretical grounds defined at the beginning of this work was designed and implemented new database extension for saving and querying spatio-temporal data. Special usage of this extension is demonstrated in an example application. This application uses the database extension for the implementation of its own database functions that are domain specific. At the conclusion, there are presented ways of the farther development of this database extension and the results of this master's thesis are there set into the context of the following project, doctoral thesis "Moving objects database".

The Master´s thesis is dealing with characteristic of a firm in competitive environment. The theoretical part describes various forms of markets, both perfect and imperfect competition. Furthermore, in this part will be characterized the concept of marketing mix, internal and external environment of a company, and also selected analyses from both these environments. The main part of the thesis is focused on three media agencies, which will be described in detail. Also, locations where these agencies operate will be described. Locations determine positions of these firms in the market and their respective competitive powers. In the analysis section, I will apply the Porter Five Forces model and the SWOT analysis on these selected firms. Subsequently, I will be dealing with advertisement since it is a crucial part of the marketing mix, very important for comparison of the agencies. The practical part will present a research and a questionnaire. The research is focused on the influence of advertisement on public. The questionnaire is dealing with cultural events. The thesis compares total revenues, analyses results of the investigation, and proposes ways that the selected agencies could achieve better position in the market.

This diploma thesis is about graph databases, which belong to the category of database systems known as NoSQL databases, but graph databases are beyond NoSQL databases. Graph databases are useful in many cases thanks to native storing of interconnections between data, which brings advantageous properties in comparison with traditional relational database system, especially in querying. The main goal of the thesis is: to describe principles, properties and advantages of graph database; to design own convenient graph database use case and to realize the template verifying designed use case. The theoretical part focuses on the description of properties and principles of the graph database which are then compared with relational database approach. Next part dedicates analysis and explanation of the most typical use cases of the graph database including the unsuitable use cases. The last part of thesis contains analysis of own graph database use case in which several principles are defined. The principles can be applied separately. There are crucial analytical operations in the use case. The analytical operations search the causes with their rate of influence on amount or change in the value of the indicator. This part also includes the realization of the template verifying the use case in the graph database. The template consists of the database structure design, the concrete database data and analytical operations. In the end the returned results from graph database are verified by the alternative calculations without using the graph database.

Abstract:
My Master's thesis deals with "Tokens of body image in the consumer behavior of a specific female subculture", which stands for lesbian community. The aim of my thesis is to capture tokens of body image of gay women in context of their specific community, particularly in the areas of body perception, grooming and adoration of a certain female beauty ideal. The thesis is divided into five main parts. The first part deals with the theoretical background, starting with basic terminology of body image, through an outline of the historical development of ideals of female beauty, to lighting the characteristics of the lesbian subculture, not only in terms of body image. Attention was also paid to the influence of media on perception of lesbians' own body image and to the media portrayal of lesbian women. The second part describes the method that were used for obtaining primary data (CAWI). It also provides an overview of the hypothetical claims, which were primarily designed to compare body image of lesbians with heterosexual women. The third, analytical part focuses on the evaluation of the collected data to verify the hypothesis, or to justify the probable cause why some of the original assumptions were not empirically proved. In the fourth charter marketing recommendations are formulated on the basis of the survey results. The conclusions highlight the most interesting points of the thesis and suggest their potential for use in business practice.

The diploma thesis deals with satisfaction measurement of participants of sport event. This sports event is international junior curling cup in Prague. The aim of thesis is to analyze participants satisfaction with this tournament. Based on these results some critical factors will be identified and also recommendations for organizers of the tournament will be listed to improve the quality of the tournament for next years. In a first part of the thesis there are described customer satisfaction theory and techniques for its measurements. According to suitability for this case the questionnaire survey will be applied. After short introduction to the tournament and some curling rules and specifics analysis of the survey results will be described. More evaluation methods will be used. Based on results from this analysis recommendations for tournament improvement will be given.

This Diploma work is focused on evaluation options of quality of inquirer work in marketing research. Assigned task was founding proper indicators, which will help the agencies to assess if and how much the inquirers fulfill the requirements laid on them. First part contains the description of known standards and biases, which occur during marketing research. Bias indicators, which were the main goal to identify and formalize, are described in the second part. These indicators can serve as a guide to expose low quality inquirers. The constituent part of this work is an example of data analysis of real project, where the construction of some of these indicators has been described. This analysis confirmed the assumption that the data analysis should be inseparable part of every marketing research project, because low quality and cheating inquirers can be exposed on its base. Results presentation and suggestions for better checking of the data obtained by the inquirers in the field can help agencies to obtain more quality data and therefore make better and more trustable conclusions of market research projects.

With rising amount of biological data, biological databases are becoming more important each day. Knowledge discovery (identification of connections that were unknown at the time of data entry) is an essential aspect of these databases. To gain knowledge from these databases one has to construct complicated SQL queries, which requires advanced knowledge of SQL language and used database schema. Biologists usually don't have this knowledge, which creates need for tool, that would offer more intuitive interface for querying biological databases. This work proposes ChQL, an intuitive query language for biological database Chado. ChQL allows biologists to assemble query using terms they are familiar without knowledge of SQL language or Chado database schema. This work implements application for querying Chado database using ChQL. Web interface guides user through process of assembling sentence in ChQL. Application translates this sentence to SQL query, sends it to Chado database and displays returned data in table. Results are evaluated by testing queries on real data.

XML has emerged as leading document format for exchanging data. Because of vast amounts of XML documents available and transfered, there is a strong need to store and query information in these documents. However, the most companies are still using a RDBMS for their data warehouses and it is often necessary to combine legacy data with the ones in XML format, so it might be useful to consider storage possibilities for XML documents in a relation database. In this thesis we focused on structured and semi-structured data-based XML documents, because they are the most common when exchanging data and they can be easily validated against an XML schema. We propose a slightly modified Hybrid algorithm to shred doc- uments into relations using an XSD scheme and we allowed redundancy to make queries faster. Our goal was not to provide an academic solution, but fully working system supporting latest standards, which will beat up native XML databases both by performance and vertical scalability.

Abstract:
The RDF is one of the basic technologies of the Semantic Web. It is a language describing resources on the web. It de nes the format and semantics of such data but does not provide query capabilities. The aim of this thesis is to create system capable of querying RDF data. We have created a partial implementation of the SPARQL query language. The SPARQL standard is currently being developed by the W3C Consorcium. We have chosen the Oracle relational database to store the RDF data. The proposed database schema allows us to evaluate SPARQL queries by translating them into SQL queries. The proposed methods have been tested on a large set of RDF data. We have created several examples of SPARQL queries, translated them to SQL, and measured the evaluation time of the translated queries. Afterwards, factors with negative impact on the evaluation speed have been analyzed. We have proposed two ways of improving the evaluation times based on this analysis, implemented one of them, and measured its e ffects.

Databases and web are two environments, where searching is used the most. In addition one group of developers draw on the experience of the other one in solving a lot of problems. In majority of projects, both sources of information stay isolated and synchronous convey from both is rather exception. This dissertation follow integration of internet searchers directly into SQL queries. Besides partly analysing papers connecting both subjects, it describes technical aspects of this connection, including method of asynchronous iteration. The gist of this paper lay in realization of three functions, which call web searcher and at the same are suited for use in DB queries. Recently a new class of data-intensive applications has become widely recognized: application in which the data is modeled best not as persistent relations but rather as transient data streams. In this thesis we address to the review of known data stream management systems, and present our own system. The purpose of this thesis is to expose our new algorithm, based on clustering, sliding window and histogram, that processes data and evaluates continuous queries. We also give experiments over real data to prove that our algorithm is more accurate than other algorithms tested out in the past.

XML is becoming standard for information representing and data interchange. A question has arisen if it would be possible to combine simplicity and user friendliness of XML and its querying languages together with performance of relational databases, has arisen. There are several proposals how to carry this connection out. The aim of this thesis is to inspect one of these proposals, eventually modify it and then implement it. The inspected proposal stores XML data into relational database based on knowledge of XML DTD and subsequently queries them using XSLT. XSLT queries will be transformed to SQL queries using DTD of XML data stored in database and a way to transform data back to XML will be suggested.

The RDF is one of the basic building blocks of the Semantic Web. It is a low-level data format intended to be used by software developers to create semantic-enabled applications. The ability to place and efficiently evaluate queries is key in this scenario. In this thesis, we approach the problem of RDF querying from three different angles. First, we present an RDF visualization tool, that the developer can use to get an idea about the structure and contents of the data. Second, we have designed extensions of the XQuery language that allow us to give it RDF handling capabilities. The main contribution is introduction of records into the language. Third, to cover query evaluation, we have designed the Bobox parallel framework, which can be used to simplify development of parallel data processing applications. It provides both task and data parallelism.

This thesis studies, implements and experiments with specific application-oriented approaches for exploring and querying multi-dimensional datasets. The first part of the thesis scrutinizes indexing of the complex space of chemical compounds, and details a design of high-performance retrieval system for small molecules. The resulting system is then utilized within a wider context of federated search in heterogeneous data and metadata related to the chemical datasets. In the second part, the thesis focuses on fast visualization and exploration of many-dimensional data that originate from single- cell cytometry. Self-organizing maps are used to derive fast methods for analysis of the datasets, and used as a base for a novel data visualization algorithm. Finally, a similar approach is utilized for highly interactive exploration of multimedia datasets. The main contributions of the thesis comprise the advancement in optimization and methods for querying the chemical data implemented in the Sachem database cartridge, the federated, SPARQL-based interface to Sachem that provides the heterogeneous search support, dimensionality reduction algorithm EmbedSOM, design and implementation of the specific EmbedSOM-backed analysis tool for flow and mass cytometry, and design and implementation of the multimedia...

The RDF framework is becoming a popular framework for presenting data. It makes the data easily accessible and queryable. But the most common way how to store structured data is to use a relational database systems. The relational databases benefit from their long theoretical and practical history, however the relational database does not offer any convenient way how to publish the data. It is essential to create a mapping between these two worlds, to publish the data stored in a relational database in the RDF format. In the presented work we study the SPARQL algebra and create a transformation algorithm that enable us to create a virtual SPARQL endpoint over the relational data. The aim of this thesis is to demonstrate the theory of a Service-Profit Chain in the hotel industry. The thesis is divided into two sections -- theoretical and practical. The theoretical part describes each of the particular links of the chain such as employee satisfaction, motivation, place of work, work performance, engagement and so on. Another important link of the chain involves guests, their satisfaction, and loyalty. As the research includes a questionnaire survey, the theoretical section describes both how to create a questionnaire and also how to evaluate it. The practical section of this thesis demonstrates the questionnaires, process of interviewing and evaluation of data. This area of the thesis also presents an interpretation of results and further recommendations.

The popularity and viewership of the sport is determined by questioning the public. To conduct interviews with experts on sports broadcasters from television, explaining views of sport news provided on public and commercial televisions. Final results were compared with the results of observation presentation of the sport in sport news in the thesis of Trnková (2014). The results allowed to propose recommendations which will be for use in marketing, sports and media organisations. The results will only imply a certain degree of scientific contribution. The secondary aim is to then evaluate the gathered information. Methods: The research question is answered through an experiment that entails distributing an online questionnaire to respondents as a form of quantitative method used in this dissertation. The compiled questionnaire was sent out to various groups of responders using the social network and email communication. The research lasted for three weeks in which the results were then processed by the computer technology in the MS Excel program. Results: The responses received by the Czech population show an awareness of sport events involving Emirates Airlines in Football, Tennis and Formula 1 racing. Title: Attitudes and opinions of the adolescents at the age of 15 - 18 to the sport and movement activities Objectives: The establishment and comparaison of the opinions and attitudes to movement activities and sport in teenagers was the main objective of this thesis. PASA questionnaire focused on15 - 18 years old secondary schools students was applied. Methods: A method of the written interviewing using PASA questionnaire was used. This questionnaire was widespread some 15 years ago, yet we made a pre- testing sample and some questions were modified. By means of the PASA questionnaire we asked about opinions and attitudes of the adolescents concerning the movement acitivities and sport in light of the psycho-social, real movement and sport activities, of the exploitation of the available physical education and sport facilities etc. The research was effected at selected secondary schools in the Czech Republic. Results: The obtained data were statistically processed and the results are presented in the aggregate tables stating the statistically significant differencies between sex, age groups. Title: The National Youth Sport Festival as a motivation for athletes' careers Objectives: The aim of this work is to evaluate the factors of athletes' motivation for participation at the National Youth Sport Festival and the perceived image of the event. The inclusion of athletes without participation and with participation at the event in the research allows a comparison of the perceived image between these two groups of respondents. Methods: Both quantitative and qualitative methods are used in this thesis. Electronic interviewing of the National Youth Sport Festival participants and members of sports association without participation was the main method of data collection. The questionnaires were compiled according to foreign studies. The electronic interviewing was supplemented with an in-depth interview with a marketing expert. Results: The results show, that the National Youth Sport Festival is fulfilling the main mission in the mind of participants. The sports event brings participants not only experiences, but also fun, enjoyment and new friendships. The event is a motivational event that motivates not only to recreational but also professional sport. Methods: Methods of both qualitative and quantitative reseach have been employed to assess the marketing communication, specifically an interview with instuctions and analysis of internal documents. Later these methods were suplemented by quantitative research, namely polling of both actual and potential customers. Results: The output of the work is a proposal for the improvement of the marketing communication of "APM Sport" store, including new means of communication and efficiency improvement of the current means. It is particularly the enhancement of the loyalty program, personal sale during the outgoing events and increase of PR cooperation.
