The evolution of compact double radio sources is discussed using a model due to Carvahlo (1985). We suggest that for doubles associated with active galaxies, there is a plausible evolutionary sequence from compact doubles to steep-spectrum compact sources to extended (D1) doubles.

Abstract:
Traditionally, a double (or doppelgänger) is considered to be a personified part of one’s consciousness or subconsciousness, social experience, behavioural patterns, etc. represented as an independent actor of social relations (in a literary text, an independent character or a character claiming independence). Doubles are characters that have something in common. The study of the doubles phenomenon is often limited to artistic discourse, its religious interpretation, including in eschatological narratives, being poorly investigated. In the Christian tradition, the eschatological interpretation of doubles goes back to early Christian hermeneutics of the New Testament texts about false apostles and the Antichrist. This article analyses the mythology of doubles formed under the influence of modern eschatology. In terms of hermeneutics, modern versions of the theological mythologeme of doubles are attempts at an apocalyptic interpretation of information technology, while information models are assigned the role of demonic doppelgängers. Thus, a binary opposition is formed: the real world created by God vs the digital world of the Antichrist, functioning in a similar way to binary oppositions of mythological discourse. The content analysis of modern eschatological discourse identified the following key mythologemes of doubles in it: digital double-image, digital kingdom of the Antichrist, doubles of rulers and prominent personalities. The abovementioned mythologemes are analysed using the methods of semiotic and hermeneutic analysis. The sources of the study are original texts of the prophetic and pseudo-prophetic genres, popular among Orthodox subcultures, but found in the canon of the Russian Orthodox Church (Moscow Patriarchate) as well.

Recent advances in understanding slicing properties of Bing doubles of knots have depended on properties of iterated covering links. We expand and refine this covering link calculus. Our main application here is a simplified proof of the following result of Cha and Kim: If the iterated Bing double of a knot K is slice, then K is algebraically slice. Further applications are included in joint work with Livingston studying 4-genera of Bing doubles. The techniques also appear in the work of Levine studying mixed Bing-Whitehead doubles.

Abstract:
The figure of the Double seems to invade the contemporary creation. Even if it is akin to an artistic process with an old origin, the performances of the technology now allow reproducing objects and representations. Do we still have to make the difference between the copyright of a thing and the one of a living model? The Double crystallizes the expectations and the fears of the moment. In literature, by example, W ou le souvenir d'enfance by G. Perec and the “autofiction” by Chloé Delaume intertwine fiction and reality; the artists Cindy Sherman and Sophie Calle show interesting problems too. At the cinema, many doubles meet in the French movie Dancing. At last, in the arts which implicate directly the bodies of the audience, we can evoke Daniel Buren and Felix Gonzalez-Torres's devices, as well as Yan Duyvendak's. In this way, by extending the semiotic method to the most common languages, we will try to define the contemporary artistic stakes

Abstract:
This dissertation compares the poetic positions of the Korean poet Yi Sang and Henri Michaux. While all of Yi Sang’s works are examined here, we limited ourselves to Michaux’s works written before 1945. This comparative study is neither grounded on a interacting or a inter-textual relationship. What allows for comparison is the critical reception of both poets, in France and Korea. In this case, one finds expressions like “singularity” and “abstraction”. Nevertheless, it is in the actual texts that one grasps the ontological insufficiency of “emptiness” or of “absence”. Our research focuses on several themes or problems one might encounter with these two individuals’ work. This takes the form of real experiences ( biographical-historic), uneasiness created by an ontological lacking and its effects. These interrogations are the basis of our analysis of Michaux and Yi Sang’s poems and pictorial representations. They all refuse interpretations that are “fixed” and “reductive”. This analysis reveals, for each poet, a unique and “abstract” poetic, a new language, against the tide of “what is already there in the world”. Moreover, for each of them, a quest continues at the risk of becoming endless. This, thereby, allows for the fragile construction of a “ novelty shop (Yi Sang)”

Abstract:
This memory aims to study the influence of mechanical connections between the components of a double wall. A voluntarily purified mode! is developed using a wave approach on infinite beams. Its goal is to insulate and understand the phenomena related to the presence of connections. Two types of phenomena are identified, and an analytical expression of their appearance frequency is obtained In the second time, a method of under structuring the analysis of the system is presented. Ft is a question of feeding the acoustic model of double wall (model “macro”), with the results of the study of a realistic connection (study “micro”), carried out using a finite elements code. This method, applied to wall lining with polystyrene, gives informations about the local behavior of the connection and about the wide behavior of the system. Ft makes it possible to set up a mode! of composed leaf system, specific to wall lining with polystyrene, and of simple invoice. The influence of the connections is identified In this case, it is not significant. The results obtained are extended to wall linings made up of porous. Techniques of improvement of the acoustic performance of wall lining are proposed

Abstract:
New layered double hydroxides (LDHs) CoFe-Ac, CoNiFe-Ac, ZnNiFe-Ac and ZnCoFe-Acwith MII/MIII molar ratio of 3, and acetate ions in the interlayer region have been preparedusing forced hydrolysis of acetate metallic salts in a polyol medium. The structure, morphology and properties of as-prepared product were investigated by X-ray Diffraction(XRD), FT-IR Spectroscopy, elemental analysis, transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM),Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), thermal analysis (DTA, TGA) and V-visibleSpectroscopy: showed that these nanocomposites present the typical features of hydrotalcitelikestructure, exhibit a turbostratic character and the intercalation of acetate anions into theinterlayer domain has been successfully done, giving an interlayer spacing value of 12.70,12.47, 13.64 and 14.69 Å for CoFe-Ac, CoNiFe-Ac, ZnNiFe-Ac and ZnCoFe-Acrespectively.We can note that there is some difference between the interlayer spacing for all synthesizedphases. That can be explained by the arrangement of inserted species (anions + water) indifferent orientation in the interlayer domain.57Fe Mössbauer spectrometry allows concluding the presence of Fe3+ cations which occupyoctahedral sites and confirming the absence of Fe2+ in the as-prepared compounds. In order to check the capacity of our materials synthesized in polyol medium to exchange theacetate anions inserted in their interlamellar space, anionic exchange in aqueous medium waseffected for CoFe-Ac compound as à model of synthesized LDH. All the physicochemicalmethods of analysis (DRX, IR, ATD/ATG and elemental analysis) carried out on the materialCoFe- Ac /EC (exchanged). The comparison with a lamellar phase containing oFeCO3/Asynthesized in aqueous medium, show a layered double hydroxide compound with aturbostratic disorder, and a new interlamellar distance d003 = 7.67Å which correspondsperfectly with the presence of the carbonate anions and the water molecules in the interfeuilletfield. In the second part of this study, we are interested to examine the capacities of these kinds ofmaterials for the adsorption of an anion dye benzopurpurine-4B-. The adsorption of direct red2 by CoFe-Ac, CoNiFe-Ac LDHs has been examined in order to measure the capability ofthis new organic/inorganic nanomaterial to eliminate this highly toxic azoic class of anionicdyes from wastewater. The sorption capacities of LDHs for Benzopurpurine4B are also compared with those of other adsorbents : CoFe- Ac /Ec, CoFeCO3/A (synthesized in aqueous medium), Mg-Al-CO3/A and its calcined product at 500°C “Mg-Al-500”. The quantity of dye eliminated was found to depend on contact time, pH, initial concentration of dye and heating temperature. The thermodynamic parameters ΔG°, ΔH° and ΔS° werecalculated to predict the nature of adsorption. Results suggested that the Benzopurpurine 4B adsorption on different compounds was a spontaneous and endothermic process. Adsorption kinetic data were tested using pseudo-first order, pseudo-second order, Elovitch’sequation and intra-particle diffusion models. Kinetic studies for all cases showed that the adsorption followed a pseudo-second order reaction. Studies revealed that intra-particle diffusion played an important role in the mechanism of dye adsorption by MgAl-500. Theequilibrium data were analyzed using Langmuir, Freundlich, Tempkin, Elovitch, Dubinin-Radushkevich, Redlich-Peterson and Toth isotherm models. [...] Taking these results into account, we can conclude that prepared LDHs by forced hydrolysis in a polyol medium can be used successfully in the removal of anionic dyes from aqueous solutions

Abstract:
The purpose of this work is to propose a tax treatment applicable to passive income in international triangular tax cases. The first part of the study is dedicated to the analyses of the double tax exposure. These are “passive” triangular cases or “incurred”, where potential double tax and uncertainty creates an issue for economic growth. The second part of the study is dealing with “active” triangular situations that may be motivated by the tax benefit resulting from these structures. The conclusion of our study will include proposals to amend the OECD treaty Model
