The dromiid spermatozoon, as exemplified by Dromidiopsis edwardsi, Stimdromia (=Petalomera) lateralis and Dromidia antillensis, accords with that of the Homolidae and differs markedly from spermatozoa of other crabs (the raninid-heterotreme-thoracotreme assemblage) in the discoidal form of the acrosome and the capitate form of the perforatorium. Dromiids differ from homolids in the greater depression of the acrosome and the form of the head of the perforatorium, thus exhibiting a distinctive dromiid sperm type. The head is bilaterally prolonged in D. edwardsi and also shows bilateral symmetry,

Abstract In this study, we extend the generalized multilinear variable separation approach to a fifth-order nonlinear evolution equation. By performing asymptotic analysis on the variable separation solution, which is composed of three lower-dimensional functions, we identify a resonant regime governing dromion-dromion/solitoff interactions. In the case of two-dromion interactions, elastic, inelastic, and completely inelastic collisions are possible, while for the dromion-solitoff interaction only inelastic and completely inelastic collisions are permitted. In early Ireland, there were many names for what scholars have dubbed the ‘Otherworld’: the Plain of Delights, the Land of Youth, the Land of Promise, and more. Many of the myths and legends from this period involve an encounter between a hero and a woman from this Otherworld, with sufficient frequency to form a distinct theme within the literature. This book examines the particularities and consequences of these otherworldly encounters, attending in particular to the question of gender and the social dynamics at work. Breakdown of the blood-aqueous barrier (BAB) resulting in protein and cells in the aqueous humor of humans and many animals has been documented.1 This breakdown occurs during uveitis, and following surgery and paracentesis. BAB breakdown occurs following these initiating insults because endothelial cells contract in the ciliary body, causing protein leakage from the vascular system which results Jn dysjunction of the epithelial layers, further vascular damage and protein leakage.2,3 These changes are mediated by prostaglandins, leukotrienes, free radicals, neurostimulators (such as in the anti

We use multiple-scale perturbation technique to derive governing equations for the weakly nonlinear envelope of monochromatic waves propagating over the ice-covered seas.
