The genus Amerila Walker, 1855 is widely distributed from Africa to Australia with the maximum diversity in Africa (Häuser 1993, Häuser & Boppré 1997). Three species in this genus are recorded from Indochina (Dubatolov & de Vos 2010), including A. astreus (Drury, 1773) and A. omissa (Rothschild, 1910). These two are common and widely distributed, and their external morphology is well studied (Holloway 1988, Černý & Pinratana 2009, Bucsek 2012) and their genitalia are illustrated in the book of Dr. J.D. The C. incertus species complex of the Copris minutus (Drury, 1773) species group consists of C. incertus, Copris laeviceps Harold, 1869, and Copris lugubris Boheman, 1858. “Plays are but the Mirrours of our Lives,” wrote Colley Cibber in 1707, recognizing the special relevance of a timeless metaphor to the theatre of his own day. A man generally given to hyperbole, Cibber here underestimates the theatre's affective power for influencing and transforming society. Of all the many reflections and transformations one may see in the mirror of late-Restoration theatre, however, the most important, I believe, are the images of warfare. In the early eighteenth century, the theatrum mundi was indeed a theatrum belli, for the theatre of war was not confined to Vigo, Blenh

From emblematic allegory to symbolic hypotyposis: On the changes of depicting death in Czech poetry at the close of the 19th centuryThe paper is devoted to the analysis of depictions of death in Czech poetry created at the end of the 19th century. The author starts her deliberations from the poetry of the 1890s which was created in the spirit of realism. Then, she moves on to the deliberations about modernist poetry which — in this paper — is not considered as a homogenous whole. Stoupenci tohoto směru (R. Dawkins, G. C.
