Abstract Industrial mixers of solid bulk or powder components have been widely used in food, cosmetic, pharmaceutical, chemical, and many other industrial branches. Industrial mixers are designed for homogeneous mixing of dry ingredients: fodder, groats, bio supplement, fertilizers, flour, spices, etc. The general principle for all types of dry mixing is to take the product that is being mixed from one area and transfer it to another area. This procedure is repeated many times, and in the process of additional edge mixing of the zones, it leads to the distribution of the components in each oth

Lime dry mixes for plaster and masonry are widely used for the restoration of architectural monuments. At the same time, lime mortars in modern conditions can be considered as insufficiently technological, since their hardening largely depends on the relative humidity of the ambient air and requires a rather long period of exposure to achieve normalized strength. This leads to a slowdown in the pace of work and a general increase in the cost of restoration. Abstract:
Using of supplement based on calcium hydrosilicates as structuring supplement in dry mixes lime is proposed. It shows the impact of supplement synthesis mode on the structure formation of calcareous compositions. The efficiency of the using of modifying supplements of amorphous silica, such as diatomite, in the synthesis is shown. It has been established that in supplement of calcium hydrosilicates synthesized with diatomite a greater amount of calcium hydrosilicates, belonging to low-basic ones, are contained. X-ray analysis of samples based on synthesized supplements is presented. A high act

The article describes an experimental installation of an energy-saving mixing unit for the preparation of dry building mixes. The installation consists of a receiving device for loading various components, a mixing chamber, which includes two shafts with blades that allow to intensify the process of movement of the components of the mixture, and thereby reduce the time for mixing them. The shafts are driven by two electric motors, a valve is provided for unloading the finished mixture, installed in the lower part of the mixing chamber, which is controlled by a pneumatic system for quick operat

To investigate the potential of biochar as a propagation mix component, three experiments were conducted. A phytotoxicity test was conducted with water extract of sugarcane bagasse biochar (SBB), SBB mixes (10%, 30%, 50%, and 70% SBB with 30% perlite (P) and the rest being peat moss (PM); by vol.), mixed hardwood biochar (HB) mixes (10%, 30%, 50%, 70% and 100% HB with PM; by vol.), PM, P, 70%PM:30%P, and a commercial propagation mix (exp. 1). None of the mixes caused phytotoxicity. The same biochar mixes (except 100% HB) were used for the seedling growth test (exp. 2). Both tomato and basil se

Abstract:
The food industry is currently demonstrating a tendency to substitute traditional high-humidity raw materials with their dry analogues. This research introduces new designs of vertical vibrating mixers that could preprogram flour mix quality. The vertical continuous vibration mixers designed for granular materials showed a good potential for a wider scope of application.
The experiment involved high-quality wheat flour, sugar, salt, egg powder, and powdered milk, as well as three vertical mixers, i.e., a lifting mixer, a flow mixer, and a cascade mixer.
