Abstract:
The purpose of this project is to improve the control and precision of any rover by replacing the conventional DC motors or servo motors with the BLDC motors. The BLDC motors are much accurate to control because of the sensors they are equipped with. The telephonic signal from the receiver generates two frequencies one is a higher frequency and the other is a lower frequency. The higher frequency is used to drive the motors. The signal is then received by the receiver phone which then transmits the DTMF signal to the DTMF decoder. The DTMF decoder then decodes the signal and then transmits to the Gate Driver IC (which is connected to the Arduino for motor control). The Gate Driver IC which has the BLDC motors connected to it drives the motors. Furthermore this rover is being operated by Dual Tone Modulation Frequency (DTMF). In addition the rover is equipped with a Gas Sensor.

Abstract:
In general, the frequency DTMF detection algorithm using FFT (Fast Fourier Transform) and Goertzel Algorithm. However, in certain circumstances a more suitable signal detected by the other algorithms. For example in a non-periodic signal as the measurement sensors for flight vehicle. The purpose of this study is to develop a system telecommand for flight vehicle. And this paper discusses the frequency DTMF (Dual Tone Multi Frequency) detection method using cross correlation algorithm and data-base DTMF. The simulation results show the frequency detection successfully carried out in accordance with the accuracy of the data-base created (1 Hz) to change the frequency of zero to 1700 Hz (DTMF frequency limit). Abstrak Deteksi frekuensi DTMF secara umum menggunakan algoritma Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) dan Goertzel Algorithm. Akan tetapi pada kondisi tertentu sebuah sinyal lebih cocok dideteksi dengan algoritma yang lain. Misalnya pada sinyal yang non-periodik seperti pada pengukuran sensor-sensor wahana terbang. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah membangun sistem telekomando untuk wahana terbang. Dan tulisan ini membahas metode deteksi frekuensi Dual Tone Multi Frequency (DTMF) dengan menggunakan algoritma korelasi silang dan data-base DTMF. Hasil simulasi menunjukkan deteksi frekuensi berhasil dilakukan sesuai dengan akurasi database yang dibuat (1 Hz) untuk perubahan frekuensi antara nol hingga 1700 Hz (batas frekuensi DTMF).

Abstract:
DTMF (Dual Tone Multi Frequency) is a system of signal tones used for telecommunications. DTMF uses two tones to represent each key on the touch pad. DTMF data transfer technique has advantages such as high reliability, constant speed, and high signal to noise ratio, low cost and optimal utilization of existing resources. These features make DTMF an attractive Data Transfer Technique. It finds application in home and car security systems, robot control, SMS and voice call controlled industrial applications. In this paper, we discuss the use of DTMF data transfer in a voice call to control a toy car. Cell phone 1(CP 1), which is at user end, makes a call to cell phone 2(CP 2) at the machine end and establishes a connection. A key is pressed at the user side. Two tones corresponding to one key are encoded and sent through the cell phone network. Both tones are tapped through the earphone jack of cell phone at machine end and are decoded. The output is fed to a Micro-controller. The Micro-controller is connected to the remote control unit of the toy car, which in turn controls the motion of the car. The car moves in various directions according to the key pressed user. The electronic circuit is divided into 2 parts. The transmitter side consisting of Cell phone 1 with an inbuilt encoder and the receiver side consisting of Cell Phone 2, 8870 DTMF decoder and Atmega 16 micro-controller. The programming has been carried out on AVR Bascom®.

Abstract:
A novel tone detection approach, designated as the multi-frequency detecting (MFD) algorithm, is presented in this work as an alternative to conventional single point detection approaches but it is an efficient way to achieve the aim of further computational load reduction for a dual-tone multi-frequency (DTMF) signal detection. The idea is that an optimal phase search is performed over the frequency band of interest in each tone detection, and then the optimal frequency response of a detector is built accordingly. In this manner, a DTMF detection task is done following one-time detection computation. This proposal demonstrates an overall computational load reduction of 80.49% and 74.06% in comparison with a discrete Fourier transform (DFT) approach and the Goertzel algorithm, respectively. This detection complexity reduction is an advantage and an important issue for applying DTMF detection technique to embedded devices.
