In this paper, a numerical procedure for obtaining a cutting performance "signature" for a bur is proposed. This procedure is applied to a comparative analysis of the cutting performance of a surgical bur under various operating conditions. An experimental method, which uses a constant feed rate and measures feed force, is utilized to perform tests leading to the data needed for the aforementioned procedure. Several proof-of-concept tests are performed and their results are presented. The proposed approach shows capability for tracking the cutting performance of a bur as it gets duller.

Abstract:

High oxidants in the body and exposure from the outside can have an impact on the skin. The skin can become darker and duller. This causes the use of bleaching agents to be increasingly used. Many whitening agents that are made from chemical raw materials are toxic so that breakthroughs in raw materials that are natural and safer are offered. The natural raw material that can act as a whitening agent is mulberry fruit. Mulberry extract is rich in phenol, arbutin, tannin, which works as an antioxidant and tyrosinase inhibitor in the formation of pigments in the skin.

The present paper deals with the application of natural dyes extracted from cassia fistula fruit or golden shower tree seed pods on nylon fabric. The dyeing properties were evaluated by measuring K/S and CIELAB values. In addition, the different fastness properties were evaluated. Natural dye extracted from longan leaves was applied to a silk fabric by exhaustion dyeing process. Aluminium potassium sulfate, ferrous sulfate, copper sulfate, and stannous chloride were used as mordants. The dyeing was conducted with and without metallic salt mordants, using pre-mordanting method.
