The genus Vulpes is represented in the Upper Pleistocene deposits from Europe by fossil remains belonging to three taxa: Vulpes lagopus (arctic fox), Vulpes corsac (corsac fox), and Vulpes vulpes (red fox) (Kurtén, 2007). Following the excavations carried out in the late 1950s, the Upper Pleistocene fossil-bearing sediments from La Adam Cave (southeastern Romania) yielded specimens belonging to all of the above-mentioned species (Dumitrescu et al., 1963; Dumitresco et al., 1965).

We studied pseudoscorpions of the genera Roncus L. Koch, 1873 and Acanthocreagris Mahnert, 1976 (Neobisiidae) from some caves in Romania. One new species - Roncus zburatorul n. sp. - is described; supplementary descriptions of the hitherto unknown male of R. ciobanmos Curcic, Poinar, and Sarbu, 1993 and a second female of A. callaticola (Dumitresco and Orghidan, 1964) are also presented. The specimens studied are thoroughly described and illustrated. Taxonomic interrelationships and geographic distribution are briefly discussed.

Granger causality and the heterogeneous causality methods for Panel are employed by this study as proposed by Dumitrescu and Hurlin. This causality test has an advantage over the panel Granger causality as it considers two dimensions of heterogeneity. The finding revealed a unidirectional causality between unemployment and inflation with Panel Dumitrescu and Hurlin Granger causality but not in the panel Granger causality test.

This paper empirically investigates the relationship between health expenditure and economic growth in the European Union countries over the period 1995-2014. By using the Dumitrescu-Hurlin Test (Dumitrescu and Hurlin, 2012) which is developed to test Granger causality in panel datasets (Lopez and Weber, 2017), it is found that there is a unidirectional relationship between these variables and gross domestic product (GDP) per capita Granger causes health expenditure per capita. The purpose of this study is to identify the effects of research and development expenses on export and economic growth. Within this scope, annual data of 28 European Union member countries for the periods between 1996 and 2014 was taken into the consideration. Additionally, Dumitrescu Hurlin panel causality analysis was used in this study to achieve this objective. First of all, Im, Pesaran and Shin and Levin, Lin & Chu panel unit root tests were used to understand whether the variables are stationary or not. As a result of these tests, it was defined that the variable of economic growth

This study investigates the impacts of infrastructural development on trade performance in 30 sub-Saharan African economies using panel data from 2000 to 2020. The study employs the Generalized Method of Moments (GMM) dynamic pooling estimator and Dumitrescu–Hurlin (DH) panel causality tests. The empirical evidence suggests that both transport and ICT infrastructure have significant and positive effects on trade performance in sub-Saharan African countries. It has been found that trade performance is not significantly impacted by the relationship between economic growth and infrastructure deve

Thanks to this book, we have the opportunity to recover the image of Chisinau from the interwar period with all the urban and cultural acquisitions, acquired in more than half a century under two political regimes. Abstract As an extension of the class of half condensed domains introduced by D.D. Anderson and Dumitrescu, we introduce and study the class of almost condensed domains. An integral domain D is almost condensed if whenever 0≠ z ∈ IJ with I; J ideals of D, there exist I′ ; J′ ideals of D such that I′ ⊆ Iw, J′ ⊆ Jw and zD = (I′ J′ )w.

Tourism plays an important role in fostering economic growth within the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) forum member countries. Nevertheless, the development of this sector has resulted in significant depletion of natural resources and pollution. This research aims to determine the relationship between tourism, economic growth, and environmental pollution in both developing and developed APEC economies from 1995 to 2020. By adopting the Environmental Kuznets Curve (EKC) framework, two dynamic panel data models are estimated employing Dynamic Ordinary Least Squares (DOLS), and causal r

This paper proposes a novel framework to analyse the How financial development or management improvement and green technological innovation influence Environmental Quality in BRICS Economies. Using data from 2001 to 2023, the study applies the Westerlund cointegration test to validate the long-term relationship between these variables. Second-generation techniques, including CIPS and CADF stationarity tests, the Pooled Mean Group (PMG) Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) model, and the Dumitrescu and Hurlin causality analysis, reveal several key findings. This study focuses on the causal relationship between official development assistance (ODA), foreign direct investment (FDI), and economic growth in selected African countries. Insufficient government funding cannot support all national projects due to limited financial resources. Therefore, the lack of government funding in Africa served as a catalyst for this study. In addition, this study employed the Dumitrescu-Hurlin panel causality test to examine the causal relationship between ODA, FDI, and economic growth for the period 1980 to 2018. This paper aims to investigate the long-term effects of financial innovations (FI) and technological innovations (TI) on carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) in the EU from 2001 to 2022. The ratio of the aggregate money supply to narrow money (M3/M1) is used as a proxy for FI, and the total number of patents is used as a measure of technological innovation. The research applies Westerlund cointegration, augmented mean group estimator (AMG), and Dumitrescu-Hurlin causality tests. The empirical results demonstrate that the variables are cointegrated, and FI and TI contribute to reducing CO2 emissions.
